Girasole Apartments

I will be very honest, I was very worried about this booking after reading the recent reviews. However, everything was fantastic. The view was amazing, the food in the restaurant was impeccable, and Daniel at the front desk was extremely helpful. I was having an emergency with my daughter in Charlotte, and him along with the wonderful lady in the office made sure I got the documents I needed sent to the hospital in Charlotte. Thank you so much for turning a horrible morning into a great experience. My only complaint is that the handle on the toilet was broken. And FYI, the front lobby is under construction. If that bothers you, you may want to book elsewhere.

The location is pretty good, especially if you have transportation. It's convenient for beachgoers, as it sits right on the beach trail for easy access to the water. The studio room was clean and functional for a short stay. The downside is that the apartment has thin walls. The people next to us were loud and slammed their door continuously, which echoed through the room. We were woken up when they returned at 2am. Be aware that the area is full of high-rise apartments and has no nearby dining locations. They have a small on-site restaurant with good food, and two small stores in the building with snacks available. The check-in and check-out times are not great, as you have to be out early compared to a hotel stay. They do offer luggage holds for a fee of $5 per bag. If you don't have a car rental, there is a free trolley that runs from South Beach to North Beach.

The listing was quite misleading, while it is oceanfront property the room had a view of Collins Drive. Valet was simply “ok”. You spent much of your time waiting to drop your car off or to retrieve it. The washer and dryer in the unit was labeled “out of service” and the on site laundry was “out of service” so yayyyy for traveling back 12 hours with dirty and sandy swimsuits. Bay hallway was extremely cold which is not pleasant when returning from the pool. Curtains were dusty and gross, numerous loose nails on the spiral staircase, upstairs tub/shower combo could be refinished, and the couch appeared to have be snatched from a curb during and eviction and placed in the unit. Overall for the price I would not recommend for a family especially if you are a very clean person.

Hotel é lindo e super bem localizado! O quarto estava completo! Espaçoso com cama muito boa! O único problema do hotel é de fato o estacionamento, não se pode estacionar e dependemos de apenas 2 manobristas para buscar cerca de quase 50 a 70 carros, em dois dias esperamos mais de 2 horas pra sair do hotel e pelo menos 30 min todos os dias para deixar. É de fato um ponto negativo para o hotel, mas se você buscar mais curtir a praia e o hotel, acaba não saindo ruim a questão do estacionamento.

The view, the valet staff & the pool was really all that this place was worth. There was a minor issue with the bed, but had to wait next day for a solution. My issue was this... it was very hard to get simple things like toilet paper and extra blankets. Ive never had an issue like this anywhere else that I've traveled. Response is very slow and front desk is a joke, they're snotty and simply say "its on the host". I get it, but still... is attitude really necessary??? Miami Beach is not cheap, the least these people can do is be more attentive to customers. Also to note, the broken down bar poolside is very unhelpful and snotty. They gave my wife attitude because she asked to split the bill with a friend. And be weary of their SERVICE CHARGE/AKA hidden tip... as they just sneak it in the bill.
