The 2 female receptionists were amazing and i could not wish for better help that i got from both of them as they were always willing to help. Free parjing was excellent.

Was average room painted over bathroom floor felt like it had lino over uneven floor hiding damage had to wait 1 hr extra to check in as he said had no electricity but i had to ring a reception number of front door to find out a curtesy call wood have been nice shows a bar on photo metal shutters on un manned

Friendly staff. Basic room with code entry rather than key. Clean comfortable bed. No hairdyer or shower gel but soap for sink provided. No food or bar facilities but for the price it was OK and within walking distance of seafront and puer

Really enjoyed my time here. Private and secure car park, rooms clean and everything worked as it should. Staff were exceptional, nice and quiet but close enough to eveything if you needed to walk there. I ŵill be returning. Thank you x

Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking. The suite we were staying in, was on the top floor, had good size rooms and nice bathroom. Fridge, plenty of teas and coffees and toiletries available. Clean bedding and towels. Unfortunately room was full od dust and cobwebs, there was no bulb in a floor lamp and no tea spoons only soup spoons - all of it did not affect our stay. We had a lovely time at Oyo Ivy Hotel

There was no one in reception you had to ring them we were told we could book in at 14.00 but they would not let us till after 16.00. There was no bar open the TV had only 16 channels and kept going off their was old stained pillows and pillowcases there is too much to mention to be honest NEVER AGAIN will i book here

Reviews are bad but that wasn't my overall experience, overall it was ok. For the price I paid I really have no complaints. It's a cheap budget hotel in a cheap seaside town, we went for a night away before the kids went back to school & this place was perfectly ok for this. It's old, in need of decoration & updating all round. Cleanliness could be better, but bathroom was clean, as was the bedding & towels. The lady at reception was great, friendly & very willing to help, she is a credit to the hotel & elevated the experience by just being nice & helpful. Breakfast was a surprise, not advertised as included but they provided cereals, yogurts & toast with tea, coffee, fruit juices for free, very simple but was kept stocked up by the same lady & again as above totally unexpected & free! Maybe we got lucky with the room (302) compared to other reviews, but I went with low expectations, knowing I had booked a very cheap place so that we could spend more on ice creams and having fun & this place done it's job. Location is excellent, literally a few mins walk to the pier, parking is available & I was allowed to leave my car there the day I checked out until before 2pm so again another perk & saves on parking. Reviews referring to a club next door are misleading, it's a members style working mans club & my window was directly next door & had no issues with noise etc. Wouldn't I rush back to stay, but i would go back. Slightly better cleaning & do the place up & could be a real gem.

Close to the beach and entertainment. Excellent price with free parking.

As I drive into car park it was overflowing with rubbish everywhere , it was an eyesore, we were to early to check in but asked at reception if I could leave my car in the car park which was fine , I asked to use the bathroom, omg there were 2 toilets one had faeses all on it the other was full of urine and no toilet paper , the room was grubby and not cleaned properly, there was chewing gum stuck to the wall , shower awful couldn’t even use it , no mattress protectors on bed and stains all on it , one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in , I have pictures as evidence

The property is generally dusty and dirty especially the stairs that goes to thw basement, you can not only smell the dust but you can even see it, the property needs a deep cleaning. Its very close to attractions which was good, the staff was very friendly especially the man on the front desk

The room was covered in dust, floors were dirty. We felt itchy on sofa chairs and bedding. My husband was bitten with what looked like fleas. Building work going on in next room, banging noises. No hot water to have a shower. No towels in room when we arrived.Ladder left on staircase making it very unsafe for us, whilst bringing our luggage down. We had to leave the hotel early as we were struggling to breath in there. The builders weren’t informed there were guests staying in the hotel.

Hotel called me during the day to find out check in time, this was reassuring. Digital locks on front door and room, modern. Staff welcoming. Decor, tired. Bed, mattress, soft, out of date. Clean bedding but hiding a dirty matress. Little to no sound insulation between room. Could hear the staff microwave, person being sick etc. Didnt sleep well. Bathroom was clean, just out of date.

To be honest on arrival, from the outside we wasn't expecting much. But as I've always been told " never judge a book by it's covers" the hotel lobby and the downstairs were very pleasing on the eye.... We had a standard double suite, and on opening the door, loved it, it's was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom.... What can I say a double shower and a extra large bath! The bed was comfortable,the price we paid for what we got were very acceptable, then there was the additional bonus of a free breakfast. I have read quite a few reviews for this hotel and personally cannot understand where you are coming from. We have booked for Christmas

3 stars is a fair score for this hotel in Skegness. On our arrival we were confronted by a door, with a piece of paper taped to it, with phone number attached and a message that read. "Arrivals call number", so we called and were told the door was open. We were met at the reception by a lady who was initially very matter of fact. She did in fairness become more pleasant as our stay went on, (as a side note exceot breakfast this lady was the only staff member we saw during our visit). The room locks are unique. You wave your hand across a digital panel, a screen with numbers on appears and you enter a code given to us on a postit note by the lady at reception. On entering the room was nothing like what was advertised. It was small and looked out onto the tiles of a roof that had clearly been sprayed with weedkiller looking at the state of weeds. The back panel was off the door lock was midsing, so we could see the batteries. The tea and coffee was minimal, and the whole hotel looked like it needed a good clean. It was not filthy, just untidy and we never saw a cleaner or any staff during our visit. The breakfast is free, albeit minimal, toast and a selection of cereals, juice and coffee, but it is free. The shower was good and the bathroom was tidy. The bed was comfy, a bit rickety but we slept well. I feel that if the lady we saw is the only member of staff except for the young lady at breakfast then she has her work cut out. Good for a short break or long weekend.

The mattress was in a particularly poor condition and needs replacing. This issue was brought to the attention of the staff on duty. The location is ideal for the seafront attractions, though overall, it was not value for money.

We have stayed at the ivy before. Comfortable bed, room is basic but that's all you need really in Skegness. Secure entrance and entry to the room. Look forward to going back again.

It’s a bit tired & needs updating. I couldn’t use the shower without holding it in my hand & laying it in the bath while I washed myself. We had to go up a few steps to our room & the carpet was awful. Wouldn’t stay again.

The staff (Manichander and Faisal) were really co-operative and polite. I came to the hotel after working a night shift at 8:30am and requested Manichander at reception to let me check in early as I needed to sleep. He understood and allocated a room to me. These little things mean a lot in customer service. Thank you for keeping such lovely staff. I'd definitely refer my friends to this hotel. Cheers!

The hotel was closed when we got there. No warning so left standing in the rain with my young family after a days drive. OYO refused to help us, even though they had already taken our money for the hotel. Disgusting service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This place is a scam we arrived to find no staff to be seen. There were people sleeping on the floor as they could also not check in! Phoned the number on the front of the hotel it went to a carpet shop in the area, the carpet shop owner told us he gets calls daily with people having the same issue, apparently he has reported the hotel himself as sick of all the calls. Slept in the van and went back the next day to find a lady in reception who said she was just the cleaner and would not issue a refund! Still trying to get money back now though Hotels.com who also have no way of speaking to anyone when in this situation just the awful virtual assistant that is beyond useless.

The hotel has been closed for repairs for several weeks. I had travelled for five hours on a tight timeline for an evening reception and was left stranded. I called Expedia and they first argued the booking was cancelled - not so. They also said there was no other accommodation in Skegness that they could book for me. I found a cheaper, similar standard hotel. Now I need anckno they made a gross error, an apology, reimbursement and compensation.

Great room very clean. Host was exceptionally welcoming. Large bathroom. Plenty drawers and wardrobe space. Two grandkids loved it and named it as their favourite place to stay again. Great location close to everything. Cant wait to return.

Ideal location,and very reasonably priced,i found it to be very pleasant, clean and perfectly situated,overall my stay was great,thank- you. the oily downfall or negative thing I would say is,"the outside of the property isn\'t very inviting,a few plants, a lick of paint,some new outdoor seating,table\'s, it wouldn\'t cost much and would really make a difference to guest\'s 1st impressions. I will definitely be booking again.

They advertised on the Expedia website that breakfast included and this is not the case. It was generally a self serve apartment than a ‘hotel’ which it advertises to be
