Very much a no frills hotel. No shampoo, conditioner in room. No ice machine. Feels more like an extended stay room since they have full fridge, sink and microwave. Stayed 1 night. It's a new hotel that has the makings of being a bad hotel once the newness wears off. Strangest lobby I've ever walked into. Dirty hallway. Bed was uncomfortable

A new long-term stay hotel. The doors are always locked, with a locked door between the lobby and the elevator/rooms, so there is a bit of a weird vibe with that. Felt very safe, though.

Friendly staff, workout center, great kitchenette. They really need to offer office chairs instead of the uncomfortable one they have at the desk in your room. That's my only complaint, really.

We were happy with the room and its cleanliness. What was absolutely horrible was that the elevator was not working and we were on the fourth floor. Carrying luggage up and downstairs is definitely a fall risk and my husband did turn his ankle so we are taking him to urgent care to me. That was totally unacceptable. I believe a refund would be appreciated and would cover the cost of urgent care praying there’s nothing significantly wrong with his ankle.

This property offers a full-size refrigerator, full-size microwave, and two-burner store. They have a laundry room and fitness room. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

I wish I could stay longer, and I love the workout is 24/7 🙏.

Quick, easy check-in, double security doors with room key access. Room was clean. Air worked well. Overall, a nice, quick stay in Lynchburg in a good spot near campus and the mall.

The elevation was closed for the entire weekend. I came solo and th location is great to the city. We had people that had a physical disability that was on the 4th floor along with me. The mattress was horrible. The door had a cracked by the seal ehere you could look outside from the side. I placed my coat over the door for privacy. The front desk staff was friendly on Friday morning.

Gross. Popcorn all over the room. Including on the toilet??Tub was brown with mildew/soap scum, towels had mysterious orange and brown stains. Paper thin walls so you can hear every conversation within a 5 room radius including the woman who walked up and down the hall screaming for 4 hours

Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was dirty overall: hallway floors, bedroom floors, drywall bits on the ground in the room. My wife found a clump of hair in a brand new towel.

The property was clean. It’s the lack cleanest of the rooms. The floors aren’t being mopped. The bed sheets aren’t being changed in between guests stays. The carpet isn’t clean and it smells. They are very short staffed. There’s not employees to clean the rooms as they should.

The building itself is updated and in a safe location. Room was somewhat clean. Floors were extremely dirty (floor mat turned brown when we got out of the shower) and some stray hairs in tub and sink. No bedbugs or anything crazy but not the cleanest. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall-mid.

Bed bugs. Need I say more. This was brought to the management’s attention at check out on Saturday September 20th and as of the afternoon of the 23rd there has been no contact from the hotel management regarding this health hazard. We stayed in room 317 for two nights while attending CFAW and woke up on the morning of September 20th itching. It was then that we noticed large bed bugs crawling on the pillow cases, sheets , etc. What a nightmare! We had to decontaminate everything before getting back in our car. We have spent the last 2 days high temp washing everything that we took on our trip as well as treating all the bags, car etc. Do not stay here. I’m an ER doctor so I know what I saw and what a bed bug bite looks like so I speak from a position of education not ignorance.

We were very happy with our stay! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Our room was very clean and smelled nice! Perfect place to stay!

Great staff and clean rooms

When we arrived to our room. The whole room was a complete mess. It looked like we had walked into a used room as the beds were undone and the place looked lived in. Thankfully we were able to get a new room. However there was a pair of used socks in the room and no hotel soap, so maybe are new room hadn’t really been turned over either. I will say that the people at the front desk were very nice and polite.

When we arrived in our room after check in- we found a mess walking into the “cleaned room”. On bed was properly made, but with a plastic knife surrounded by crumbs. The other bed not made, the garbage can full of trash. The bathroom had dirty towels piled on the counter, the kitchen had a dirty rag soaking wet near the sink.

PROS: This hotel was very clean and looked shiny-new. My room wasn’t carpeted, and had nice sweepable flooring instead. The room was comfortable with a full-size refrigerator, a couple of burners, a microwave, a sink and decent-enough counter space. We stayed only one night but it would have been nice for a longer stay. CONS: No hotel should exist without blackout curtains. The window shades look nice but are impractical and let light into my room all night long. There’s no ice machine. There were two ice trays in the freezer but you have to wait for the water to freeze. The hotel can’t do anything about this, but a herd of elephants was having a drum-playing convention right above me at 5:30 in the morning. My friend said her room was very quiet all night. All in all, it was a nice stay.

The property is new and clean. The beds were cheap quality mattresses on a metal frame. The walls are very thin so we heard dogs barking and babies crying during the night. There were no curtains, just window blinds so it was very bright in the room all night long.

Very few amenities. Minimal towels in the bathroom. No hand towels, just bath towels and wash cloths. No hair dryer. Thankfully I brought my own. Definitely more of a long-term stay place than those staying for a couple nights. Bed was very uncomfortable, tiny, flat pillows. Very glad we brought our own. Sheets were the thinnest I’ve ever seen. Coffee only available in the lobby and it was more like drinking hot water than coffee. No breakfast. Front desk is only open beginning at 10:00am. Glad I didn’t need anything. And so much for no smoking within 25 feet of the building. The elevator and hallways reeked of weed. The only positives I can say about this place was that it was and clean and convenient to everything. Also the A/C was good and it was quiet.

Very clean hotel. But bare bones on amenities. Glad I looked at reviews prior and took a hair dryer. For the price it was fine. Only major concern is like a lot of other people which is you can hear EVERYTHING. In the morning I kept hearing a thumping noise over and over. Im pretty sure it was just people walking the halls and in their room. But at 5am it's pretty miserable. There's no carpet which is nice for cleanliness but i think that attributes to the noise.

I understand getting what you pay for - but I also expect a comfortable bed. The bed was horrible. I sank into the middle of it. The hotel was incredibly noisy. People in rooms above, next door and in the hallway. This hotel is not that old but already looks worn and it had no sound proofing. Floors were sticky. Just wanted a nice place to rest for an overnight - I hardly slept and will not only never stay here again, but am hesitant to stay at any WoodSpring Suites if they are all the same caliber. Room was not ready when I arrived either - staff did call when it was ready.

This was my first time staying at this property. I was here for LU commencement and while other area hotels were price gouging, this property was reasonable. After walking through two doors to the front desk and checked in, we had to use our room keep to go through another set of doors to the elevators. We were on the 4th floor. It was quiet except for the occasional screaming kid. The smell of marijuana filled the elevator and hallway. The room looks new, clean, and had a kitchen. What it didn’t have was a comfortable mattress or pillows. The bed squeaks so loud when you toss and turn. No dishes, utensils, pots/pans, iron, or hairdryer. These you had to purchase separately. The bottle of combined shampoo, conditioner, and body soap was less than 3 oz. We had to throw out our own trash and if we needed new towels, we had to exhange them at the front desk. Our room never got cleaned or serviced the entire week of our stay. The cost is cheap so you get what you pay for. I don't know if I would stay here again.

Too costly for an extended stay property and the Wi-Fi service from 3rd party service provider is not good even though we paid for a premium Wi-Fi service.

Front desk was not helpful with "free" wifi issues. Wasnt able to connect at all.

Bed is uncomfortable. Can hear the people moving above you.

Checking in was okay, however what they do not tell you is that front desk staff leaves at a certain time so they have a note sitting up on the wall as you walk in stating to call a number for front desk. I’m not sure how this works with you getting your key and them getting your incidental payment. My stay was the worst. All night long the people upstairs were partying and up until checkout - this is an extended stay hotel as well and I was not aware of that so pretty much staff was aware of who it was and they didn’t offer me another room or anything. I kept calling the 500 number to complain all night as i only got 2 hours of sleep. I complained and the staff originally said I would receive a full refund then the next morning they stated I would receive a 15 percent discount and I could contact Expedia and their manager of which I have not heard back from their manager and they have been giving Expedia the runaround with my full refund. Don’t let the looks of this being a “newer” hotel fool you. Staff is highly unprofessional, the people living there are questionable & you are provided with nothing more than a towel, wash cloth and one small bar of soap. The only way that I would ever stay here again is if it was a snow storm and I had nowhere else to sleep besides my car, but then again my car would probably be the better option because I would be able to sleep in peace.

I had arrived after checking due to a couple of accidents on the highway there was a lack of communication between the morning crew and the evening crew but the issue was still resolved and I was put in a beautiful room which I was very happy with and I decided to extend of my stay by 2 days thank you to the manager she was awesome and to the crew you guys are great much love from Chicago

Great staff and a very clean room.

Staff was generally not available. We were locked out of the building for some time upon arrival until another guest let us in. Then we waited longer until staff showed up to check us in. The room weas not ready. The alternate room we were given was recently cleaned but was full of odd odors (in addition to the cleaning chemicals). The pillows were small and flat, and no additional pillows were available - and no staff was available to ask for more. The window only had a venetian blind which failed to block out the extremely bright floodlight in the parking lot. The room was clean and the furniture was new, but it was all quite stark and uncomfortable. There was an apparent drug dealer in the parking lot for the first day of our stay (on his phone, watching the traffic and meeting folks in the parking lot who came and went quickly). A steady stream of traffic was passing our window and making noise as they visited him late into the night. The second night I was awakened around 3:00am by a large, loud group returning to their rooms. Once awake, the only place to sit up and work without keeping others in my room awake, was the tall, uncomfortable table in the lobby. When I did meet staff they were pleasant and perfunctory. The building was new and clean. But no, It wasn't a great experience.

I got to the hotel at 5 pm on Friday. I was informed that the rooms were not ready and I needed to come back later. I asked the problem the lady said cleaning people had called out. I came back at 9 pm waited in line for 45 min. 5 people in front of me. I witnessed two families come down and said their room was already occupied. 1 said door was wide open tv was on, nobody in room. Another said their room had not been cleaned. When it was my turn to check in there were 10 other people behind me. The lady told me that she had no clean rooms snd I could wait until she took care of the other customers and she would then go and clean the two rooms. It was 9:45, I asked that shecancel my reservations , she told me I needed to call Hotels.com with who I booked. I called them as I drove back home to Richmond. They were starting a inquiry. I would like to be refunded. Please

I had a great stay and will definitely stay again here. I was greeted by employees with smiles and a nice welcome or can I help you from them. Even getting off the elevator this morning the front desk lady that checked me in was waiting to get on the elevator and asked us if we had a good night. They even forgot to update the last name for Wifi access and called us to let us know of the mistake and it was good to go at that moment. This was great service!

The girl who checked us in was rude. Barely said anything to us. Didn’t tell us how to get WiFi or anything. I expected it to be like a home away from home…meaning blanket on the bed, shampoo, conditioner, towels and wash cloths for more than 1 person, hair dryer….just basic items you get at a hotel. It was spacious and clean but my comfy.

When we got here we waited in line to check in for 45 mins just to get a room that was already occupied came back down and 3 other guest had the same issue. it took another 1 hour to get another room as she had to clean some rooms herself to make it work. all other hotels were booked. i will not be back especially after traveling 9 hours with 2 small children. With booking 2 weeks in advance I did not expect to have this issue. I want my money back.. There was only 1 staff memeber on site handling all of the issues she was great considering the circumstances. this is on the establishment

Everything was fine until checkout. No one was there when i rang the bell or called out. I found out they were outside having a smoke break. I asked for a reciept and they told me one would be emailed but it was not. Poor service !

Hotel was clean, seems to be pretty new. Great location close to Liberty University, lots of shopping and dining.

Overall the parking lot seemed a little unsafe but well lit. I was glad we checked in before the lobby closed or we would not have had a place to stay. Overall impression our room was clean, surprised no hangers or soap/shampoo. I was very disappointed in the smell of pot and smoke everywhere it was a bit overwhelming. Yet I was in a non-smoking room ironic.

Newer property, smoke free, basic rooms with mini kitchen, no hair dryer, no coffee or breakfast.

Minimal for the price. 1 pillows,1 towel, per person unless you ask for more. Very noisy could hear tvs in hallway and people conversations thru the walls. Coffee in lobby never full and only until 10 when we were there. Staff was very nice only plus to hotel
