Days Inn by Wyndham Waco University Area

Grounds were in disrepair. Railing missing on stairs. At breakfast, out the window in an attached fenced area was old buckets & lumber that had been there for months.

Tripping hazards all over the outside. Wires running across walkways, broken concrete in Walkays. No attempt to create temporary ramps or surface to walk on. The concrete steps were all broken and definately a fall hazard. Outside doors to go to the upstairs rooms were broke and unsecured. Was told the juice machine in the breakfast area has been broken for weeks.

My recent stay at Days Inn was OK, though the room was a bit dated. However, the numerous steps to access the room, some without handrails, created an unsafe environment, contributing to an accident within our group.

Parking very well lighted. Nice and clean and staff very helpful.

Good price. Poor building maintenance, siding coming off, cracked concrete, metal handrail for front steps broken off and on the ground.

This was the absolute worst place I have stayed. There were bugs crawling on the furniture. The carpet was damp. The handrail out side was laying in the grass. The parking lot was a shambles. The continental breakfast was terrible

I'm surprised this hotel is part of the Wydham Family. The property is old and in terrible need of upgrades: the outdoor steps are cracked and a safety hazard, there were no elevators (I have problems with my knees), there is no water available for purchase on the property and the room had roaches. I was terribly dissatisfied but could do nothing as there were no other hotels available in the area for a Baylor visit as this was Family Weekend at Baylor. I would have taken pictures however, I was too busy killing small roaches with my shoe. Like I say above, I'm surprised this is a Wyndham Property, not like the Day's Inn I've stayed in before.

Property in renovation so lots of debris and unfinished areas. Cleaning products used were very strong smelling. Access to building has pitted and broken concrete stairs and uneven walk. Coffee was good. Staff was friendly.

The property was well kept and clean. The gardening was well shaped and added well to the design. There were many options for parking and the doors were wheelchair access accessible.

So the halls were super dirty and there were tiny bugs jumping on the bed. I ended up with bug bites after staying here. Not worth the $90 I paid to stay.

Horrible, dirty sheets, stained and filthy bed cover and mattress protector. Stains on the wall, roaches in the room, busted front door, bathroom door wouldn't close, Bathroom counter not cleaned. Horrible stay.

Stained bedding and fridge was not cleaned out. Had old broccoli in it. Stained carpet and dirty walls.

Does sheet have spots on it? The toilet was dirty and the carpet was dirty.

Absolutely horrible!!! Bathroom was absolutely a mess!!! There was missing tile, mold and so much around the toilet I thought it was going to fall through the floor!!! I also killed cockroaches in the room!!!

Bed bugs. I understand you have different property owners, but the parent corporation should be able to transfer guests and work it out on the back end when encountering a serious situation such as this. You made it my problem to resolve, with no compensation. I will be sharing this story, and likely not choosing to stay with your company again, personally or with my companies people.

They have bed bugs, I woke up covered in bites down my leg, on my back and on my stomach, I told the man at the front desk and he was immediately aggressive, saying they don't have bugs, when when I showed him the bites all down my leg he was still very adamantly aggressive that it did not happen at that hotel. I did not leave the room once I checked in, I am an over the road driver so I went to sleep. I checked in without any bug bits and woke up covered

Area was convenient, however hotel smelled of tobacco and weed, the ceiling I. The bathroom had mold and the tv didn’t work consistently- it kept loosing connection

It was very noisy from the interstate traffic but mostly could hear it because the door moldings were missing so it was no tightness when the door was shut. It’s an old hotel that needs updates. The staff was friendly an it was clean. Just needs updating to the rooms a property.

There was a lot of improvements that needed to be done, roof leaks, equipment not hung on the walls properly, and the door to access the inside by keycard would not pull close to lock. The first room that was given to us reeked of smoke and weed.

Carpet in Room 136 was stained and dirty. The bathtub surface was covered in a strange laminate that was peeling and had holes in it. Wood door frame in the bathroom was rotting. Chrome surfaces on plumbing were rusty. Bathroom door scraped the floor, it was too big for the floor tile. Door into room was too small for the frame and had gaps around the entire door. It was not sealed.

Its mostly what you expect from a Days Inn. The only problem is, there is a gap under the entry door to the hotel room, which can allow bugs inside. I didnt see bugs, but that doesnt mean theyre not there, i mean, theres a gap where you can see the carpet when you're outside, and when you're inside, and its dark in the room, and sunny outside, you can see the sunlight peeking in from the gap under the door.

Room smells strongly of cleaning product. Bed was comfortable. What do you want, it’s a motel.

The highway traffic noise was very loud. The tiny square pillows were horrible.

The best part of the stay was the front desk staff. Nice and friendly and welcoming. I also appreciate that the room was generally clean.....but, this is a very dated property. The exterior and the interior needs major updates. The floors in the room are uneven (very). Almost like they are mushy. The front door shuts but not completely. There was a gap between the door and frame. The bathroom door has to be forced to shut and the sink fixture completely moves back and forth. The TV is old (30 inches maybe) and too small for the room. The breakfast was adequate but every table wobbles and the tops move. I travel quite a bit and I know that I was not choosing to stay at a five star place but this property is not acceptable in my opinion. It needs fixed and updated. Wyndham should send representatives as I don't think this should be in their portfolio unless things are fixed. As a matter of fact, when I look at my bill, the bill says Motel 6 Waco...which, honestly, is more like it, and if I knew it, I would not have chosen it. Please hear me say, I know I was choosing a Days Inn, but there are standards that need to apply to this name brand and this hotel does not meet the mark. I was so uncomfortable we left a night early, and I paid to stay somewhere else. Sorry Days Inn, I hate to leave this review but it is what I experienced and others should know.

Updates need to be done in bathtub. Faucet was out approximately 1” from tub.

Front desk personnel rude and unprofessional. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

There wasn\'t any check-in staff on-site from 3:55-4:05 p.m. By the time that the 2 staff members sauntered in, there were 6 guests waiting for assistance in a stuffy reception area without air conditioning. There is obviously a lot of remodeling going on. The room was clean enough, but the halls, stairs and outside of the buildings are old, worn, and in disrepair. A strong smell of fresh paint permeated the building and room. The "security" door into the 2nd floor area does not fully close unless forcefully slammed shut. Most times it is left open and anyone can access the building.

I was pleased. I arrived very late since I had a delay with the rental car company. The front desk person was very accommodating, I jad called at least becauce of the inconvenience mentioned above with the car rental company. We get to the hotel at 5:15am, he mentioned that breakfast is from 6am-10am on the weekends, but that he would try to have it ready in 15 minutes so that me and my family can have something to eat before we go to bed. I thought it was thoughtful. When we visit again, for sure we will stay again.

The staff was polite, efficient and helpful in every way. The room was very nice but the carpeting could use a good shampooing. The bathroom floor was slightly sticky..that comes from certain types of cleaning fluids. But overall I would give this place as a 8 out of 10 rating.

No one was there to check us in, we waited for an hour, and had to go somewhere else. The next day no reason was given why no one was there. Unacceptable

Quick checking in, settled in our room quickly. Very quiet, and in the morning a beautiful breakfast. The smoke alarm was doing that beep on the battery needs to be changed, when we first got into the room. Call down to the desk and battery was changed in less than 5 minutes.

So much… so so so much was wrong with this stay. I’ll bullet point to be concise. -Online check-in was moot as I had to do the whole process again at the front desk. -The option to request a late check-out (that was part of the online check-in) was moot as the clerk said that they don’t offer that. -The floor had several spots that indicate the sub-flooring was damaged and if not for the carpeting, would end in someone falling through the floor. -Food trash and a sock under the bed. -Small bugs throughout the room. -Bathroom floor has broken tiles that had to be covered as they posed a tripping/cutting hazard. -Water pressure so hard that it was akin to a pressure washer. -Bathroom floor flooding less than 30 seconds of running the shower (water bypassing both the shower and floor drains). -Housekeeping knocking on the door at 10AM when check-out time is 11AM. -And a litany of other little things that would just seem petty to point out. Would have left a 0 star review if the app didn’t require at least one. Would add pics but the app won’t let me.

Whatever you do, DO NOT COME OR STAY IN THIS PLACE. The Manager epitomizes the definition of the word Psycho. He literally will curse you out, verbally!!

Dirty, door looked to have bern busted open and poorly repaired. Area was unsafe.

Great location! Clean room. Bed was very comfortable!

Great value for a short stay but plenty of noise from I-35 (depending on location of your room).

Real close to highway

Convenient easy access to I-35, close to Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, and very clean with comfortable beds.

The location was good as far as visiting waco. Easy to get to anywhere i wanted to go visit. The place was as clean as can get but still looked questionable. I got what i paid for. Thank you.

Great for a one night stop over right off the interstate but you hear the traffic.

Basic no-frills accommodations. By the way, don’t let the name fool you; it is NOT in the university area (at least not Baylor University). There are lots of homeless people in the area, and they wander around the parking lots day and night.

It was close to the interstate and convenient to eating places.

Everything was great, except for one change that I would suggest: Offer hot sauce or salsa at breakfast to go with eggs/omelets. . .

Thanks for having hot food items (waffles, sausage, egg) for breakfast. A lot of small hotels only offer bread, cereal, bagels, fruit.

Breakfast was really good and the room was clean. We did have to wait almost 25 minutes to check in because the person that could check us in wasn't there. Otherwise, good price for the room.

First 3 rooms had rusty puddles in bath tub. Numerous code violations around property…exposed wires also near pool. Breakfast unappetizing in tiny area of front desk. Dark grounds with unsafe vibe

The price was right, but man did this hotel feel its age. Every table in the lobby was wobbly. The coffee/juice machine did not work. Breakfast egg patties were still frozen as they were served. The room had discernable wear around the sink/vanity. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, but the room had a weird musk to it. If given the choice to stay here again the price would have to be really right.

It was overpriced for the quality and the location. The coffee was very good.

I arrived to eat breakfast at/around 7am and barely any was left. Definitely need more quantity of items, since breakfast starts at 6am.
