Brads was great. It’s older and small but we were very comfortable. Everything was clean. We stayed in the James Dean room. Trains go by frequently but the owner has ear plugs. She was a delight as well. I would stay there again.

Rooms decorated with a theme, ours was James Dean. Parking in front of room, ground floor. Train stops blowing whistle at night, but vibrates the room. Advertised 2 beds, all rooms have a king bed only. No ice machine. Comfortable bed. Okay for one night, close to petrified forest national park.

I would give this place 5 ⭐️ for a motel. Obviously this is not an all inclusive five star resort but for a motel it’s in the top, as I’ve stayed at a variety of resorts/hotels/motels to provide a true honest rating. Customer service far exceeded my expectations from BEGINNING of my check in till the end. The property contacted me prior to ask what time I was checking in and my reservation change on hotels.com didn’t update properly to postpone a day and they were happy to change it. Easy communication with text message, and offering a call back number if necessary. Property kept clear and polite communication with me throughout my day and I was going to be checking in very late (after 2 A.M.). I was given instructions for a lock box my key would be in and a contact and number if I had any issues. Property vibe is unique and corkey, unlike any other property I passed by in the town of Holbrook. Came into a super comfortable and clean, original decorative room, with the heat turned on (it was cold outside), microwave and fridge, and a shower with great water pressure and temperature. Ended my night with a comfortable bed. Extra perks of this motel is that they have Netflix available as well as it’s super close to Petrified Forest 🪲🌳

Don’t let the shabby exterior fool you - rooms are refurbished with funky designs, clean and comfortable. Easy check in and out, and the mini fridge has a freezer that actually works!

This is definitely the place to stay to get that Route 66 feeling. Park right outside your room, and enjoy plenty of entertainment on the tv or fast wifi. Most importantly, enjoy the nicely cleaned room.

We were surprised to discover we were so close to an active railway, but complimentary earplugs & kind caretakers convinced us to give it a go. So glad we did! Tiny parking lot, couldn\'t imagine parking full size truck. Small room, bathroom. Toilet faces sink with about 8" between them, knee bumps vanity. Train tracks run about a hundred yards behind, with an average of 3 or 4 trains an hour. On the good side, check in was quick. Manager was friendly. Price wasn\'t terrible, around 100$, but after seeing the pics online, had higher expectations.

Ear plugs were provided at check in. Trains in back run all might. Be prepared.

We loved Brads Desert in. It was very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We highly recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Room was non-smoking, but smelled of smoke. Water damage in the bathroom. Staff and location are great!

I was catfished! This place was nasty! Mouse traps under sinks. I even saw a cockroach on the wall. We left shortly after checking in and never came back! We enjoy visiting little known places like this. The clerk was busy playing video games and took forever coming out to help, even his dog was barking at me and he didn't come out

Unique, clean, quiet, conveniently located, owner operated motel.

We are deep sleepers so train noise didn’t bother us but it woke me up in the morning!! It is a great place to spend the night if you are deep sleeper!! Bed is comfortable and clean!! I would prefer floor is cleaner!! Rest is as same as any other hotels!

It's an old Route 66 motel that hasn't been renovated in a while. It was clean but a bit noisy as it's not far from the railway. The bed was confortable.

I liked the look and feel of the property. It had a lot of route 66 themes and such including the ac temp being set at 66 which was a little funny. My only complaint is that they could maybe use some better pillows and some better curtains for blocking sunlight. Other than that it's a good place to sleep than hit the road again early morning

The hotel was very cute and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom could really use a new sink with a counter or some sort of table or somewhere to put toiletries. We had to move the towels off the shelf and use that, as there was absolutely no room on the sink area. The trains were noisy, but I've lived near trains most of my life, so they weren't a problem, but I could see them being a huge issue for some people.

Brad's Desert Inn is what I imagine to be the most authentic of the Route 66 motels from the heyday of auto travel. The motel is adorned with old signage and decor which makes for a little added fun. The room was cozy, bed comfortable and the price was affordable. However... if you are a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. You are literally a block away from a very active railroad and you can expect to hear horns all hours of the night which didn't bother me but made for a restless night for my wife. Other than than, all good vibes!

Jody was super nice! I enjoyed the white noise machine in the room and the bed was very comfortable.

It's an old Route 66 motel, don't expect some modern facility with large rooms. It's small. And I don't want to hold it against the facility, but there is a train track right behind it, and trains went by all night every 30 minutes or so, if you are a light sleeper consider ear plugs or you won't get much sleep.

Turned up right on 3pm to find the office closed and no one about, so I just wandered around until the clerk showed up with his little dog who wouldn't stop barking at me (and even tried to nip me). The carpark needs to be completely resurfaced with the parks redrawn - they're all over the place. The room was fine but felt small & cluttered, and the floor was badly warped. The train was loud, but nowhere near as bad as Mountain Home ID, so at least I could sleep. Best thing about the place was the classic Dr Who channel.

A lock box checkin is unusual for a hotel, especially when no staff are present. It did not lead to a smooth process.

The man who checked me in was very nice. He personally brought me to the room and made sure everything worked and that I was happy with everything.

I stopped in told him that it wouldn't come and date my truck and trailer that I needed a refund and called Expedia Expedia tried calling them they said they couldn't get a hold of them so they was not going to refund my money poor business as far as I'm concerned would not stay there

Found a new favorite local-owned motel. Perfect for Rt 66 exploration or for Petrified Forest NP. The room was somewhere between cool and quaint. I felt like I had invited myself over for a slumber party. Great stay. Will be back.

Turns out downtown Holbrook pretty run down and just an unsafe feeling, especially with no staff on duty.

It was an old property but had been updated. I had booked it because it was iconic on Route 66. It was a comfortable night's stay and we got what we paid for. I wasn't looking for luxury, and I stayed there based on the price and the artfutlness of the place.

Staff was wonderfully accommodating but the train tracks were less than 100 yds. away and trains came through blowing their whistles every twenty minutes all night long.

It is a decent place and is close to the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. We liked that we could walk to an excellent steak house.

Very quaint and newly renovated. It is right by a very active railroad. It did not bother me, but there was a train every 15-30 minutes.

Place was great. Kitschy. Very Route 66 vibe. Cool spot, good food nearby. Bed was impressively comfortable. High end. My only complaint was the train. Thing was loud and close. But I slept through most of it. If the train wasn't there blaring all night I'd give Brad's a 9/10 easily.
