Designer Inn and Suites

The room had a pungent odor, the curtain was broken hanging by strings, the surfaces did NOT look wiped down at all in the room. The room phone did NOT work to call out and the phone itself was broken. The beds sit really high off of the ground and are NOT comfortable at all. The pool was drained at some point (assuming during the stay because our first night we looked in and saw the pool... We had planned to go swimming the next day and then when we went to look at the pool it was emptied) but no one informed us of their plan to do so or we would not have booked that hotel.. We booked the hotel BECAUSE it listed the pool. The Staff was very kind and attempted to be helpful but the facility itself is dirty and overpriced for a low budget motel. The photos online marketing this hotel are deceiving because the rooms do not look as they do in the advertisement. I would not recommend and do not plan to stay again.

Great staff. Casino was close

We've stayed at this hotel before and were satisfied. But it's been a while and the place has gone down hill. When we pulled up it was apparent that the hotel has become the go to place for construction workers, a large group were having a loud party in the parking lot. Its starting to look run down too, broken doors and windows. The pool looks like it's only used by the kids of the owners, lots of toys and life jackets lying around. Our room was dirty, the carpet dirty in the corners, the lighting in the room is not the best so it wasn't apparent when we got in there after dark. There was dirt and even dead bugs in the corners, not sure when the last time it was really cleaned. There was also a dead cricket in the bathroom and a live bug of some sort on the bar. We got a designer suite, so it had the jacuzzi tub, but half the jets were inoperable and half the lighting didn't work. The sheets on the bed and the towels were at least clean. Everything is outdated in the room. When I brought these issues to management's attention they said they'd never had anyone complain about any of the things I'd mentioned before. Then they offered to give me a large discount on the room. In the end they gave me a discount but it was nowhere near what they said they were going to give. All things considered, I don't see us ever returning to this hotel.

The rooms smelled a little bit. The beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was good. Mexican restaurant that was next door was great.

No coffee pot. Not enough towels and wash cloths to accommodate all guests. Had to ask for them 3 times
