The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Check-in was easy. It's a few kilometres from downtown, but I needed to stretch my legs so I walked in for supper. The only issue I had was that I was on my motorcycle and the parking lot had fresh gravel, so the bike sunk in a bit and was too heavy to push back out. I ended up driving through the curbs and on to the sidewalk and then out. When I checked in, the young fellow at the desk said I could park my bike on the sidewalk if I wanted to, but I didn't understand why until I went to leave the next morning. Fortunately, the curb blocks are low enough that they didn't scrape the mufflers. A lighter bike or a younger rider wouldn't have this problem. It was all good in the end.

The room did not contain what was advertised, there wasn’t a lock on the door, the tv didn’t work and the pool was out of service. It was only after multiple complaints that they moved our room however there was ZERO sound proofing. We could hear the people beside us and everything they were saying/watching on tv, could hear the other side of us brush their teeth, shower and the children in the space under us. The structural integrity of the building should also be taken into consideration as when other units have people walk around your room WILL shake.

Pool was a bit merky. I have a pool, and i wouldn't have gone in this one. Bed was very uncomfortable. Overall we had a great stay but pool was not open, though they have mentioned that they have pool on the property and it opens till 10PM. So it was a big scam. Rest of things were good.

The Property is not a bad property in context of cost and location. It is fairly close to main attractions in the area. The check in process was fairly late compared to other places in the area. But I was happy to hear it was because they were cleaning the rooms. Upon arrival, the rooms were very clean, but the WIFI and microwave did not work properly in the room. The pool did have garbage and items left from other guest on the deck, but it was a nice option to have a place to swim after a long day. The staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to resolving a late night noise issue with the next room over. Check out process wasn't available when we left at 8am, only an unlocked key drop off box. Breakfast wasn't available prior to 8:30am.

Despite the many ants in the room, everything was very clean. Fairly newly upgraded facilities. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Pool area was safe and clean. Lovely staff made us feel welcome.

The room we had smelt really bad. We just stayed there for 1 night. It smelled like mold. Hard to sleep even opening all the windows and keeping the AC on. I read on Google other people were complaining as well. Normally I get upgraded. First time I haven’t in a while. I know for Expedia gold it isn’t always guaranteed but so far I was on a streak. By far the worst hotel room I’ve ever slept in.

Location is great and motel has a lot of potential. The rooms need renovations but are not so bad. We were comfortable. My issue is nobody came to clean the room or give fresh towels for the entire 4 day stay. The website said they had various fire pits and sold wood and starter. They had 2 fire pits for the entire motel that were never available and did not sell any wood.

The room smelt a bit musty and the air conditioner sounded like it was drowning. Every time my partner was in the room they got signs of chest congestion, dizziness and sinus issues. We did mention to the front desk, once we started piecing it together that the signs and symptoms only got worse in the room, that we suspected there was mold. They assured us there was no mold but we had to leave throughout the night on the 2nd night of the stay as my partner could not handle it anymore and we had to abandon our vacation 2 days earlier than expected because my partner was so sick every time they were in the room. After a night and a half it was to much for my partner and the symptoms got worse and as much as they subsided after we left the room it was to late and my partner's lungs were done. We came home and went to the family Dr who put my partner on a puffer for the symptoms. We lost out on the rest of our vacation financially due to cancellation policies of the next 2 venues and we lost out on the vacation experience we had planned for the next 2 days.

Definitely not worth the price. An ok motel but for $300 per night - needed a new paint job, no soundproofing so could hear neighbours which kept us up all night, 20+ year old tv with fuzzy viewing, and no hot water in the unit. When we complained about the hot water, they said that they only had one hot water tank so that’s why - that’s not an excuse!! Get abother hot water tank or larger one so guests can have a hot shower.

We came back one night to no parking spot. Also, there was no one in the office until 8:30/9:00 in the morning. Considering many excursions people come for start before that I felt it was a very late start for front desk staff.

Very friendly and efficient concierge. We were in the cabin. It was a bit musty smelling but bed was comfy and it had pretty much everything we needed. Some suggestions: full length mirror; more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels et al; hair dryer would have been nice.

our neighbours were ridiculously loud until 1 am at 12am we told them off at 1am hotel staff finally told them off. the guy said hed call us back abt getting a partial refund for the issues and he ghosted us. fridge also froze all our food for the 2 and a half days we were there.

Staff hard to get ahold of. No one was readily available at checkin or checkout. Had to call a cellular to reach someone. They could not provide a receipt at checkout which was annoying. Room was fine. The gravel parking lot is annoying, but understandable given the age of the property. Also, not really a great value for the amount they charge per night in my opinion.

Stayed the second day of new owners. Absolutely the friendliest owners. Easy fast check in. Cute motel rooms. Very clean. Large walk in stand up showers. Two dressers with deep drawers. Had take out from their restaurant which is Indian food but also had fries and some other classics. The garlic Naan bread was amazing as well as the fries and rice we ordered. All in all a great experience.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Coach House Inn. From the early morning, there was no water in our room, which is completely unacceptable. When we raised the issue, we were offered another room just to have a shower, but this room had no toilet facilities. For six hours in the morning, we couldn't use the toilet, causing significant inconvenience and discomfort. We eventually had to check out due to this issue. The reception coordination was poor, adding to the frustration of the entire situation. The lack of communication and inability to resolve basic amenities issues made for a very unpleasant stay. I would not recommend Coach House Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

It would have been nicer if they had an early breakfast instead of 8:30AM. We were leaving early to go on the boat trip, and we had to find another place that served breakfast. When asked why the time was so late, the front desk said that they like to sleep in!!! We would not go back to this motel again even though it was okay for one night's stay.

Coach house inn was the perfect place to stay in tobermory. Was 3min drive to the main village and had ample parking. The room was clean, and the motel was beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone who plans to stay in tobermory.

Great value. Stayed over to catch the ferry in the morning which was minutes away. Close to restaurants. Spacious and clean room.

It is close to Tobermory, and food store just around the corner. Not a new place but you cannot complain paying $200 per night in August. Staff polite and helpful.

Nice and cozy little place, far enough from all the noise of tobermory but close enough to get there easily. Very friendly front desk staff. The signature cabin was a very nice little weekend getaway.

Well its a motel! Expedia or any online booking is the best option for best prices. The washroom area is very small plus minimal to no lighting. Morning breakfast includes corn flake, bread, milk and coffee.

Stayed the second day of new owners. Absolutely the friendliest owners. Easy fast check in. Cute motel rooms. Very clean. Large walk in stand up showers. Two dressers with deep drawers. Had take out from their restaurant which is Indian food but also had fries and some other classics. The garlic Naan bread was amazing as well as the fries and rice we ordered. All in all a great experience.

Hotel had all the things you’d need to be comfortable. Although they don’t advertise, they had free coffee/tea and cereal in the morning. Staff was very helpful.

Coach House Inn is a great place to stay while in Tobermory. Great location and close to the amenities. My only concern was the breakfast time that was said. We were told it was suppose to start at 7:30am, but no one was there and the office was closed. It did not open till past 9:30am.

The property is state of decay & disrepair and charges 4 star hotel fee for a hostel quality. For what you get, the property is overpriced to the extreme - 2 nights costed $650. Expedia & website photos do not provide an accurate picture of the rooms condition. The room we stayed in (Double Family) had various damage to walls, furniture and appliances. Upon check-in there was garbage in the room drawer stuck to the surface. Beds are on rollers without stoppers and move away from the wall if one tries to sit in a bed while leaning on the wall. Corners of the floor had dried out goo-like substance stuck to it. Restaurant on site does not work.

In General good however missing breakfast bar as mentioned in web site , also no lighting in shower place. Too dark . Anyway all server in this motel are good!

Check in and everything went well, then the power went out at 2:47am. There was something that continually beeped all night. I tried calling the number they advertise to call with any problems, and left two voicemails at two different points in the night. I checked the electrical website and no outages reported in the area, so seemed to just be the property. Had to catch the early ferry, then realized there was no running water. Tried a third time on the phone number, no luck, so exhausted we left and had to brush our teeth at the ferry terminal. A terrible experience; no one at this point has called me back and they charged me full price. It’s unfortunate.

If you are looking for a place to stay that’s affordable so you can enjoy what Tobermory has to offer this is the place for you! Just a quick note to management the cold setting in the shower is actually the hot setting and the hot is actually cold. This is for unit #17.
