Very frustrated that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. There are only take-away food outlets in Alyth in the evening. Other hotels can give information about days when the kitchen is closed - Why not this one! Everything else about the hotel was very good. Friendly helpful staff, recently refurbished room. Very clean and comfortable - so I would have rated it 4 or 5 star overall if they took the trouble to give important information .

Lovely quirky hotel, evening meals were excellent as was the breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel, great value for money.

Initially apprehensive as hotel frontage not particularly inviting Also next to “ dubious looking” convenience store Also disappointed that only parking was on street or municipal car park Once inside pleased to see things improved Accomodation fine Menu in restaurant had good selection and quality of food good Breakfast was comprehensive Unfortunately it appeared everything had been fried instead of being grilled resulting in “fat saturation” Over place fine and would return
