The Modernist Hotel

One of the best places I've stayed at! Breathtaking views, quiet, clean, and very large space. Receptionist was the who recommended the penthouse and my goodness I am so happy she did!! The staff there is super sweet! Love love love this place! Looking forward to staying in the penthouse again in the near future!

The hotel is small enough that the front desk knows everyone and they are extremely kind and accommodating. The rooms are large and the sky deck is humongous with a fantastic view. Kitchenette is well stocked and clean. Shower has great water pressure. The location is near the subway. I don’t have any negatives except for the quality of the Murphy bed in sky deck room. Decided to stay longer and moved to another room and the bed was extremely comfortable. I ended up needing an emergency appendectomy and they were very helpful in managing my belongings and management was extremely kind to remove the room charge for that day. I very much appreciated the kindness and help they extended. Can say enough good things about The Modernist!

The room was clean and spacious, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, and the hotel itself was cute and comfortable to be in. Only complaint I have is that the bed was not comfortable to sleep on at all. Other than that, it was a nice stay.
