King Evelthon Beach Hotel & Resort

I recently stayed at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel in Cyprus. While there were several highlights that made the trip enjoyable, there were a few areas—specifically the spa and beverage quality—that didn't quite hit the mark for a resort of this scale. The Highlights: Service & Scenery * Arrival & Reception: First impressions were fantastic. The reception area is beautiful, bright, and open. The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help, making the check-in process seamless. * The Room: We had a great room with a stunning view. It was a pleasure waking up to the scenery every morning. * Housekeeping: A huge shout-out to the cleaning staff! They were amazing—always friendly, and the room was kept impeccably clean and tidy throughout our entire stay. * The Food: Considering the challenge of catering to so many different nationalities, the food was actually amazing. There was a great variety and the quality was consistently high. The Lowlights: Maintenance & Drinks * The Spa (Needs Urgent Work): This was the biggest disappointment. The equipment only worked intermittently, and the maintenance was poor—hooks literally broke the moment we tried to hang clothes on them. Most concerningly, the covers on the beds in the resting area didn't look like they had been changed all week. Very friendly staffs in Reception. We came early and received early check-in! This Hotel is very good for children and teenagers because has many facilities like aquapark, pools, musical concerts.

Amazing big pool and good food and drinks

For a 5 star was disappointed. Gym floor all ripped, weights had chunks of rubber missing making uneaven weight. Hash browns was like 3 days old. Some food wasn't edible so bad. Canteen staff didn't understand any English. Sun beds broken. Pool towels took 20 minutes to get. Other than that everything was fine. Oh and entertainment is a 2;star

Excellent large pool, must have been around 50m if you swam the whole length. Plenty of space for children to play. Area around the pool was noisy but there were plenty of Sun loungers also available on grass closer to sea. Our air con in our room wasn’t very effective although maintenance team came out very quickly but they didn’t do much. Enjoyable stay.

We had a great stay at the King Evelthon Beach resort. The facilities and pool area were lovely, located right on the seafront with access to the sea and a beautiful pool. The food was excellent and the staff that served in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming, unfortunately the same can’t be said for the bar staff (pool area), who were generally quite rude and all seemed unable to even smile when serving you ! A big mention to Georgina the relations manager, Justin the entertainments manager and Rashid, lobby bar, for a good overall holiday experience.

Property is well located, the building itself is huge. It took a bit of time to really enjoy the the hotel, a lot of details caught our attention away, such as no plastering done after minor ceiling repairs, carpets were stained at places, one star knocked off at hotel entrance sign (literally). A bit of ants in the room corner. Tiny children play area. After a day or two, we have experienced friendly staff, mostly great tasting food/drinks, very warm indoor swimming pool and knowing the great value that we are getting, most negatives were out of our sight. Good gym, new equipment Free sauna and expensive massage therapists La carte rooftop restaurant is spectacular Food pretty good, same as drinks Great location Easy parking Good sized rooms Friendly staff Free waterpark 1min away on foot. Super value. Mostly boring evening entertainment, not engaging most quests. 1/3 are actual entertainment. Overal I would come again if I get a good deal on it. It feels like a cashcow for Tsokkos hotel group which it is, but they do provide good value for quests. So all is good here.

Entrance to hotel was beautiful and staff were friendly. However, they charged us for water, cold coffee despite being all inclusive. Pool was closed when we arrived due to a child having a poo. I have since been told the pool has been closed twice this week. Indoor pool was so cold and absolutely filthy. A real let down. Drink quality was also very poor and extremely acidic no matter what cocktail you chose. On the plus side, the bar staff were amazing. Rooms were very clean. Cleaners did an amazing job. I definitely wouldn't give a 5 star. Maybe a 3 plus. Entertainment is limited and the same chicken aqua dance daily along with darts and water polo. Would be nice if they offered some variation. The main show is downstairs in the ballroom which means having to leave the fresh air to go into a room with no access to outdoors. Can honestly say that shocked me. Would be great if they could have the acts up where they do the bingo and where the singers are. All in all we had a good time but glad we didn't book longer than 3 nights as we would have been bored

It was just perfect for us and we can’t complain, We are trying to get our next year holiday booked. The room was very clean and the staff are just lovely and polite. Always ready to assist with a smile. The Spa and pool facilities were excellent.

Notre séjour a été super, le personnel est très accueillant, l’hôtel dispose d’une salle de sport, d’une très grande piscine extérieur magnifique, une piscine intérieur également, il y a une salle de jeu, un spa. Tout ce qu’il faut pour être bien en vacances. De l’hôtel il y a la mer juste en bas c’est juste magnifique. On peut même y voir un bateau échoué au loin. Le restaurant est très bon nous nous sommes régalé, seul bémol c’est que les serveurs débarrasse trop rapidement la table, on s’est retrouvé plusieurs fois à aller chercher une assiette et juste le temps de se servir notre table était complètement débarrassé.

I know this hotel for many years but never had chance to stay in. the reputation was good so i saved it for my this stay. Unfortunately, compared to other 3-4 stars hotel i stayed in Paphos, this one is lacking a few things. Reception are ok. But not very welcoming. With this low rate of occupying of this winter season, they didn’t give me one to impress me and welcome me back. the window door to veranda has a broken lock and i had problem of falling asleep because of noise and lack of security. the cleaning was bad. The cups had coffee stains. The tooth brushing cups had water stain at bottom. Also the water kettle had thick calcium and dirty. So i never used the. Bathtub shower had problem of switching water from shower head and tap. Was impossible to use. Breakfast and dinner was fine. Managing staff were doing good to keep hospitality. The interior was a cheap turn over or looks like a low budget quick fix of old property. Mattress was 3 out of 5 maybe (personal experience anyway) The overall atmosphere was not so good. I would not go back. Parking was quite ok. Location is good with your own car. Wi-Fi very bad. Not friendly for business and leisure combined travelers.

We made a complaint and checked out early. While sat having evening meal in the restaurant a cockroach appeared and climbed over the table cloth. This was not the first incident, in the same restaurant the night before we saw a cockroach on the floor scurrying around before being stepped on by the waiter. This as well as seeing one in the bedroom bathroom was enough for us to leave. We felt we were unable to stay and eat in that hotel. Being with a 9 month old baby, we wanted a relaxing break. Instead we got stress and anxiety. When we mentioned to reception that we were checking out earlier for the above reasons. Their response was "Ok, bye". No mention of a sorry. The hotel is rated as 5 stars, I have stated in far better 2 stars.

Overall it was a good hotel. Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was good, evening entertainment could have been a bit better but might have been that time of year. No fighting for sunbeds.

While we had a lovely holiday the maid service was poor, out of the 6 days we were there 2 days the room was not cleaned, 1 day we had to go to reception to ask for it to be cleaned and on 1 day it was cleaned the cups and glasses were not washed. In the restaurant in the evening the tables are all set with linen table clothes, runners and napkins for the start of service at 18.30 great if you want to eat that early, if you don't and we didn't and you go in later the tables are not reset with linen and all you get if your lucky is a paper napkin. very disappointed.

Childs bed was not suitable for oyr 11yr old. Room was grubby and needed decorating. When we called to ask foe morw pilliws as we all had 1 thin one each, we were tild no sorry cant help this weekend!

Hotel much bigger than I expected. Room very comfortable. Daily housekeeping was a bit hit and miss . The food was very good lots to choose from . The entertainment was ok , typical hotel stuff . The sunloungers really good and comfortable. The pools were chilly the indoor no longer heated in May !Some places need a bit of a refurbish . I don’t think I would enjoy it height of season. Too many people.! I certainly can’t complain about our stay .

Definitely not a 5* resort. 2* would be pushing it. The food was bland, oily and soggy and not always hot. Quantity over quality, we were all inclusive and ate out most nights. The a la carte restaurants on offer 1x per stay, we chose Greek which was by the pool bar, just a set menu of Greek themed buffet food. The hotel needs A LOT of TLC. I don't think they've maintained any of it since it was built, falling apart. Fire exit sign just flickers in the corridoor. We had ants in our room one day, we told reception and to be fair they sent cleaners quickly which fixed the issue. The next day we had a 2 inch chunky cockroach swimming in the toilet and ants again on the balcony. Also there is no beach, super rocky and they're quite sharp so you would need to drive to a nicer beach instead. . If you like an elvis impersonator as entertainment and listening to the birdy song every morning for aqua aerobics then you'll peobably have a great time. I certainly won't come back. Only pros were that the drinks were good quality and the bed was super comfy.

Gone wrong right from the start. Rude receptionist. If there is the worst person to be on reception its at the Evelthon. An older lady shouting at staff and being rude to customers. 5 star???? questionable more like a 3 star 1-FILTHY CARPETS in the corridor 2- Lights broken in the toilet 3-broken shade which was one of the features we chose to pay extra for. 4-Lights on Balcony come on by themselves and cant be turned off. 5-Rusty screws in the bathroom. 6- filthy bathtub and black mold in the shower 7- Falling roof bits everywhere around the hotel 8 -exposed electrics Great location Maybe a 5 star 10 years ago Reception lady not fit for customer service. We had a good-sized room with an amazing view, so we overlooked the fact that the room was a bit tired and needed repair. The carpets in the corridor of the 4th floor needed a good clean. Unfortunately, some of the restaurants and the roof top bar were not open which was disappointing and meant we did not have much variety when it came to food. The food could have been better, but the staff in the restaurant were helpful and friendly. There were a number of weddings which created a great atmosphere. However, do not book a room on the 4th floor under where they have wedding receptions as the insulation is not great and you will feel as if your room is part of the wedding party. Not great if you want an early night. The facilities downstairs are good, the bar area, balcony, pool and space outside is great. We were told the hotel opens up properly in a week and saw staff painting and working on the building so it might be a different experience then.

The room was big and the bed comfortable. Aircon was working well . The food is beyond expectations. Drinks are served by waiters. Roof bar opened in the evenings. Friday evening entertainment is average, Beach is 100 m of pleasant walk from the hotel Seashore Promenade nearby for walking and jogging. Bus stop 4-5 minutes walk max 15 minutes to the Harbor and about the same in the opposite direction to Coral bay sandy beach

The hotels communal areas were very nice but the rooms could definitely do with a re vamp. Our room was definitely tired looking for a superior sea view room. Most of the staff were friendly with the occasional member who totally ignored us especially in the dining area. Also you need to get up early if you want a sunbed by the pool because towels are on the beds by 7am.

Wifi coverage was not resort wide as advertised. Was missing altogether around the outside pool.

Très bel hôtel, cadre somptueux, avec de belles prestations. Les repas ne sont pas les meilleurs, mais le choix de cocktails en all inclusive est incroyable. Si vous avez faim, ou soif, vous pouvez manger à tout moment de la journée grâce aux snacks, de 8h à minuit. Le rooftop est super et le coucher de soleil y est sublime, surtout grâce à l’hôtel donnant vue sur l’ouest. Les chambres d’hôtel sont spacieuses et propres même si finies à la va vite (les joints etc ne sont pas propres mais comme partout à l’étranger). La chambre est nettoyée tous les jours. Nous avons en plus eu la chance d’être surclassé d’une chambre vue cour vers une chambre vue mer supérieure avec une terrasse aussi grande que la chambre. La météo en ce mois d’octobre a été exceptionnelle (29 tous les jours sans nuage). Nous allons pouvoir rendre jaloux nos collègues. En résumé, hôtel exceptionnel, vous en aurez plein les yeux. Mais n’y venez pas pour vous en mettre plein les babines, car ce n’est pas le point fort de l’hôtel. Petit plus : aucune taxe de sejour à payer à l’arrivée ni au départ. Bref. Que du bon.

The WiFi was not working in the room they did eventually fix it after two days but it was the evening xmas eve when I reported it, so no one was available till boxing day , , I was offered another room but declined it. The staff were very attentive and the lady on reception Angela deserves a special mention.The food was nice and was very varied, also lots of it.The bed was extra large and very comfortable, the whole place was kept very clean, it is showing signs of ware and tear in a few places, but that is to be expected when something is in use all the time.

We had a wonderful stay: Food: Breakfast - brilliant, omelette station, grill stations, huge selection of foods. Each night the selection was different. The greek style salads were great! Bedroom: We had a balcony room, with a view. Bath in the room, large bed, aircon worked fine. Carpark: We hired a car, there was loads of space in the carpark. Drinks: All inclusive cocktails, there were over 20 in total! Gym: Decent gym! Loads of sunbeds, all in all a great trip! Having perfect weather helps too though!

Overall very happy with our stay, only a couple of minor points - very poor Internet speed, and as I am a very plain eater, struggled some nights to get something to suit, but breakfast and lunch choices were excellent.

The reception staff was excellent and ready to assist. The room was very good. I was expecting better facilities for a 5 star hotel e.g. Gym, Saouna, Jacuzzi Also the staff they use, apart from the reception, is of low quality and they need to address this as the quality of service is low.

Neive (maybe wrong spelling) at reception was professional, friendly and charming, made us feel very welcome. Accommodation comfortable inside and out. Good choice of foodcand good service from restaurant staff.

I’ve booked this hotel, my parents 50th birthday and eventually joined them on this holiday, but the hotel insisted that I have to pay them when I get to the hotel. On the arrival of the 7th of May, we arrived about 3 o’clock in the morning and they insisted they want €900, even though the agreement was around €640. Eventually, after arguing, they agreed that I would pay them €640, but the room was not ready so they put a temporary fold up bed in my parents room that had two single beds joints up together. The room wasn’t the best the headboard was Ripped In the bath and around the bath was a bit dirty, The worst of it was her the day before check out that room started to leak in the middle of the night. When we leave the bathroom will get flooded. Water was pouring out of the light socket as my mother went to the toilet in the middle of the night, as I feel this was a dangerous. I called reception 3 o’clock in the morning who offered me a different room which had a bunkbed into so one it was inconvenient, but we had to evacuate our room in the middle of the night. I used to service my parents quite a lot and then I had to sleep on the bunkbed for the rest of the next two days. I spoke to reception about this to follow. Morning, and she said it’s one of them things I asked about compensation but nothing was offered. Even though the hotel was booked for the sixth, but we arrived early hours of the seventh. We missed out on all the meals. The new room had no bus as it was acces

Would not go again to this hotel. Dining & bar staff worked very hard & always friendly, room cleaners good, management really poor. We had a serious incident with another guest which the hotel failed to deal with at the time. A complaint form was submitted while in resort but we have had no acknowledgement or feedback even though home now. This is not a 4/5 star hotel as advertised, hotel really tired, carpets dirty, chips out of furniture, and not enough staff to give a 4/5 star service. Good hotel with very good service. Food and drinks were amazing. no complains at all. if there's anything to be improved I would say the reception staff could be a little more polite. I found the security and a check-in staff were a bit impatient and arrogant. (not everyone though). Beautiful place to stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Staff made an extra effort to provide good service

This is a horrible hotel which is worth 3* maximum. The staff at the reception were awful…even when they are not busy, they ignore you! The hotel is run down with mouldy showers and worn out furniture. Also there were ants on our TV unit even though we didn’t have food in the room. Food in the restaurant was awful, and even though we had the all inclusive package, we chose to eat outside of the hotel. Breakfast was average although the pastries were absolutely disgusting! They would serve the same pastries in the afternoon! The only good thing about this hotel was the tennis court and parking which were free. Best not to stay here unless you’re happy with worn out hotels and horrible staff!

Not a good hotel like people say. Staff are rude. Only 1 pillow in the hotel when I checked in and was told I couldn’t have another until the next day. (2 of us in the room) multiple members of family caught food poisoning. A tragic event occurred and no first aid trained staff or any medical equipment. Rooms were not cleaned and toiletries not refreshed as often as you would want. Would not recommend. Half of the facilities are usable. I believe the health inspector is getting involved which is what this hotel needs. I shared my room with my brother which I made them aware of prior to arrival and the shower screen was see through to the room. Bit awkward. Pools weren’t cleaned.

Room needed repairs and better up keep. Food was middle of the road and cold most of the time. There is no beach.

Nous étions très inquiétes au vu de certains commentaires mais nous avons été agréablement surprise. l’accueil à la réception agréable et serviable les piscines top et propres. La chambre propre et faite tout les jours (pensez à mettre le petit papier à la poignée) Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec beaucoup de choix . L’hôtel se situe ds une zone un peu loin de tout mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé toutes les excursions sont venue nous récupérer et nous ramener.. le bord de la côte est bien aménagée il y a un sentier jusqu’au château de paphos pour une promenade à pied en trottinette ou en vélo .

Mugg på badet, og det virket lite rent. Rommet ble ikke rengjort godt nok daglig. Ligner ikke bildene her på hotels, hotellet er slitt og har behov for renovering. På rommet var det plagsomt mye støy fra vifte/aircondition, som ikke engang fungerte. Samme hva vi stilte på ble det hverken kaldt eller mindre støy. Badet (vi fikk et "accessible" rom) hadde hverken dusjdører/forheng eller tilstrekkelig fall mot sluk, som resulterte i at vi måtte vasse i flere cm vann over hele badet og gangen etter en dusj. Variert utvalg i buffeen, men maten var lite innbydende hvor det meste virket vått og veldig fett. "Stranden" er full av skarpe fjell/steiner hvor det ikke går an å bade. Det eneste positive jeg har å si er fin utsikt fra balkongen og stort bassengområde. Anbefaler å ha bil da det ikke er gåavstand til noe.

Came here for a relaxing holiday/birthday trip and my overall experience was a 7/10. Reasons being. PROS : walkable to Venus beach ( which is sand) great pool size , lovely dinner buffets always had different options, all guest I spoke to were very friendly and friendly staff especially CALLUM from the entertainment team. Good room size, comfy bed. CONS: upon arrival we were given a room with a broken lock and was expected to stay in that room until the next day. Had only one pillow even though usually there are extras in the wardrobe. I also wrote on my special request that this was a birthday surprise and I did assume maybe some fruit or something in the room but nothing. The snacks, well there isn’t any , just hard stiff sandwiches. The entertainment? Well what entertainment. It was the same thing every day, I feel that this was purely aimed at OAPs and not for all ages. There was no newish music playing all older style music which was a huge shame. It was bingo every night which started late always the same time and run by a lady called sally who I felt was very inappropriate when calling out 69 and telling men to call her, bare in mind there are families with children around. I feel her ‘ sense of humour’ was not funny and very provocative. The only person I saw from entertainment who was actually doing their job was Callum. Seeing the reviews below I have no clue who this David guy is it was just Callum everyday by himself.

Drinks not included in half board dinner. Staff kept staring at us while getting lunch when there was no one to tell that we wanted to trade dinner for lunch, more pork options than for bone pork eaters.

This property has great potential but unfortunately for an 'all-inclusive resort' it was very limited. The building/rooms were decent and clean. The bed was comfy but the pillows were awful. Unfortunately most of the staff were not friendly and made you feel like you were putting them out to clarify or ask for anything. There was very little entertainment or activities. There is only 1 buffet style eating area - the other 'restaurants' were closed until May - so cannot comment on the food/service. The food was basic at best - cafeteria quality. The salad bar was the best choice by far with lots of options and variety and build your own. Bottled water was limited or you had to pay for it, drinks/cocktails were only offered during specific times and ended early right on the dot - if you were in line at 1 min to midnight and midnight hit, you had to pay. You are not allowed to take food out of the buffet area and absolutely no take away. Some of the serving staff were excellent but they were few and far between. Most of the servicing staff were very surly and it seemed as if you were bothering them to ask for food or cutlery or coffee cups or glasses, which ran out frequently. The chair cushions as well as the lounge cushions around the pool were not clean. Thankfully the weather was good and we were with friends and family for a wedding so we made the best of it.

I recently stayed at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel in Cyprus. While there were several highlights that made the trip enjoyable, there were a few areas—specifically the spa and beverage quality—that didn't quite hit the mark for a resort of this scale. The Highlights: Service & Scenery * Arrival & Reception: First impressions were fantastic. The reception area is beautiful, bright, and open. The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help, making the check-in process seamless. * The Room: We had a great room with a stunning view. It was a pleasure waking up to the scenery every morning. * Housekeeping: A huge shout-out to the cleaning staff! They were amazing—always friendly, and the room was kept impeccably clean and tidy throughout our entire stay. * The Food: Considering the challenge of catering to so many different nationalities, the food was actually amazing. There was a great variety and the quality was consistently high. The Lowlights: Maintenance & Drinks * The Spa (Needs Urgent Work): This was the biggest disappointment. The equipment only worked intermittently, and the maintenance was poor—hooks literally broke the moment we tried to hang clothes on them. Most concerningly, the covers on the beds in the resting area didn't look like they had been changed all week. We had a good-sized room with an amazing view, so we overlooked the fact that the room was a bit tired and needed repair. The carpets in the corridor of the 4th floor needed a good clean. Unfortunately, some of the restaurants and the roof top bar were not open which was disappointing and meant we did not have much variety when it came to food. The food could have been better, but the staff in the restaurant were helpful and friendly. There were a number of weddings which created a great atmosphere. However, do not book a room on the 4th floor under where they have wedding receptions as the insulation is not great and you will feel as if your room is part of the wedding party. Not great if you want an early night. The facilities downstairs are good, the bar area, balcony, pool and space outside is great. We were told the hotel opens up properly in a week and saw staff painting and working on the building so it might be a different experience then.

Definitely not a 5* resort. 2* would be pushing it. The food was bland, oily and soggy and not always hot. Quantity over quality, we were all inclusive and ate out most nights. The a la carte restaurants on offer 1x per stay, we chose Greek which was by the pool bar, just a set menu of Greek themed buffet food. The hotel needs A LOT of TLC. I don't think they've maintained any of it since it was built, falling apart. Fire exit sign just flickers in the corridoor. We had ants in our room one day, we told reception and to be fair they sent cleaners quickly which fixed the issue. The next day we had a 2 inch chunky cockroach swimming in the toilet and ants again on the balcony. Also there is no beach, super rocky and they're quite sharp so you would need to drive to a nicer beach instead. . If you like an elvis impersonator as entertainment and listening to the birdy song every morning for aqua aerobics then you'll peobably have a great time. I certainly won't come back. Only pros were that the drinks were good quality and the bed was super comfy.

Entrance to hotel was beautiful and staff were friendly. However, they charged us for water, cold coffee despite being all inclusive. Pool was closed when we arrived due to a child having a poo. I have since been told the pool has been closed twice this week. Indoor pool was so cold and absolutely filthy. A real let down. Drink quality was also very poor and extremely acidic no matter what cocktail you chose. On the plus side, the bar staff were amazing. Rooms were very clean. Cleaners did an amazing job. I definitely wouldn't give a 5 star. Maybe a 3 plus. Entertainment is limited and the same chicken aqua dance daily along with darts and water polo. Would be nice if they offered some variation. The main show is downstairs in the ballroom which means having to leave the fresh air to go into a room with no access to outdoors. Can honestly say that shocked me. Would be great if they could have the acts up where they do the bingo and where the singers are. All in all we had a good time but glad we didn't book longer than 3 nights as we would have been bored

I thought you would of been entitled to at least one al-a-carte if you stayed 5nights all inclusive. Apparently you have to stay 7 nights to get 3 al a carte’s.

Der Umgebung war sehr schön. Es sind sowohl Stein und Sandstrände in der Nähe. Der Personal war leider nicht so freundlich außer die Reinigungspersonal die immer lächelte. Glutenfreies Essen ist sehr schwer zu organisieren. Ich habe vor der Reise schon 6 Email an die Rezeption geschrieben mit 4 verschiedenen Account leider haben wir keine Antwort bekommen. Vor Ort müssten wir an der Rezeption ausfüllen, welche Glutenfrei Essen man haben möchte. Leider diese Info kam nie an der Küche an und musste ich jeden Tag erklären, dass ich es bereits an die Rezeption bestellt habe. Ansonsten der Hotel war okay. Gegenüber die Wasserpark war auch cool. Wenn ich nächstes Mal nach Zypern fahre, würde ich eine andere Hotel nehmen.

We had a wonderful stay: Food: Breakfast - brilliant, omelette station, grill stations, huge selection of foods. Each night the selection was different. The greek style salads were great! Bedroom: We had a balcony room, with a view. Bath in the room, large bed, aircon worked fine. Carpark: We hired a car, there was loads of space in the carpark. Drinks: All inclusive cocktails, there were over 20 in total! Gym: Decent gym! Loads of sunbeds, all in all a great trip! Having perfect weather helps too though!
