Kind of like camping out in a haunted house. O staff on site. Had to wait 30 minutes for a very pleasant person to arri e. No front door keys were available so it was left open until copies of the only key were made, but i never got one. The old house is lovely and well mantained. Breakfast was little egg sausage sandwiches and oatmeal packets. Nice young lady was there briefly and then off to another assignment. Neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. Parking was on the street. Not sure the neat old house justifies the expense (150) considering the minimal services.

The Tarabino is a grand old Victorian and the Garden Suite was on the first floor with a very pleasant sun patio with access to the back gardens. The large, well appointed bathroom with a claw footed tub is down a short hallway and is for exclusive use by our suite. We also ventured upstairs to take in the lovely view from the balcony. Everything was very clean. The one unavoidable problem we encountered is that there are a LOT of steps up from the street parking to the front door. Unfortunately, our hostess had a family emergency prior to our arrival so we never actually met anyone. We had a number we could call for emergencies and were offered access to the kitchen so we could make ourselves breakfast. This was clearly an unavoidable situation which was handled with grace. The Tarabino Inn is a great place to stay for a glimpse into the past.

As expected, an older property had some aged window coverings and furniture that has seen better days, but that’s what makes it fun. The library and sitting areas were all available to guests and very nice. The patio on the second floor roof was a delight evening and morning. Joy, the innkeeper, accommodated our early arrival and request for bottled water. She is a delight. We would definitely stay there again if visiting Trinidad.

Loved having the 3rd floor to ourselves. The balcony and the mountain views were incredible. Loved the big clawfoot bathtub. It was very easy to book. All the instructions were clear to follow and made arriving super easy. Overall it was amazing, definitely in my top favorite places to stay. Next time im in Trinidad i will be staying here again.

Very cool architecture and a beautiful view on top of the hill & from the balconies! Also only a 2 minute walk from main Street. Portable A/C and standing fans so if you're sensitive to heat, brace yourself during the day. The place does get a nice breeze though so it's not too bad. What shines the most though is the host, Joy - very accommodating, communicative, and helpful. Thank you so much for helping me find a way across town with my bags!!! I couldn't ask for a better experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarabino Inn! We stayed with our two children and they absolutely loved it as well. The property is easy to find and parking was simple. Everything was very clean and the Innkeeper, Joy was wonderful. She was willing to help out with anything that was needed or any recommendations. We would definitely stay again if passing through!

This was our first time staying anywhere that was not a hotel. The Tarabino is a beautiful home, built in 1907, and was a wonderful experience. The architecture is something that will never be built again and it was amazing to stay in it for a couple nights. The views from the porches are wonderful and sitting on the main porch, in the shade, with a little breeze was really nice on a warm July day.

The friendly host greeted us at the door, making us feel so welcome. We had the lovely Garden Suite. It is on the main floor and next to the bathroom. This was perfect since my companion has trouble with stairs. She brought her service dog and this suite had its own access to a private backyard. Our stay was perfect!

We family of 5 had an amazing stay at this unique and well-kept place. The historic building added so much character to our experience. Always happy to support local small businesses. The place was spotlessly clean, spacious, and quiet. The location was perfect—it's walkable to many attractions and very convenient. Staff was friendly. Cool idea but the fleas or black jumping bugs all over the ceiling was not good. Its hot inside took forever to cool down but did sleep good considering the bugs... lots of bugs.

The house was absolutely beautiful! Something out of a fairytale. Now the cleanliness is a different story the room was dusty the sheets were a dingy yellow color and there was hair on the pillowcase, we chose to sleep on top of the bed spread with our own towels on top just to be safe, there was also a ton of bugs everywhere i believe them to be kissing bugs which made for a restless night, there was also an air unit in the window that wasnt properly sealed which is where the bugs seemed to be getting in and also was letting in a cold breeze. Overall i had higher expectations but i was sent an email stating they were short staffed, so i guess that's why the room wasn't up to par.

The hotel manager, Joy, was outstanding in making sure I was set for the evening. I chose a room that had a private bath, but it was down the hall. I had to use a skeleton key to unlock my door in the middle of the night, go down the hall and use the facilities. Not convenient all. The door locks all need repair.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the lovely, old Tarabino Inn. Our downstairs room was large and comfy, but we missed the description that our bathroom was detached, so be aware of that. Things we enjoyed: Continental breakfast, in-room teapot & coffee maker w/nice coffees, half & half in the frig (!), spaciousness with sofa sitting area. Things we wish it had: Handrail for the two steep sets of steps into house, a fan to move the air in the room (no a/c or ceiling fans), did not enjoy claw foot iron tub (hard for us to get in and out of), a smart TV with no live channels.

The Victorian decor was beautiful! The room was super spacious with a nice sitting room & separate, but private, bath. Lots of grab & go breakfast options. We’ll be back!

Comfortable room and accommodations! We loved the atmosphere and house. Plan on eating breakfast elsewhere, a “light breakfast” was supposed to be included but the kitchen was pretty bare (dry cereal but no milk). Overall we would stay again and just bring a few kid breakfast items to hold everyone over!

Kind of like camping out in a haunted house. O staff on site. Had to wait 30 minutes for a very pleasant person to arri e. No front door keys were available so it was left open until copies of the only key were made, but i never got one. The old house is lovely and well mantained. Breakfast was little egg sausage sandwiches and oatmeal packets. Nice young lady was there briefly and then off to another assignment. Neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. Parking was on the street. Not sure the neat old house justifies the expense (150) considering the minimal services.

Worst B and B I’ve ever stayed at. Can you believe only a prepackaged gas station muffin and no juice for breakfast? I had to nurse the Keurig along to make coffee. Didn’t see an attendant at all.

Very cool architecture and a beautiful view on top of the hill & from the balconies! Also only a 2 minute walk from main Street. Portable A/C and standing fans so if you're sensitive to heat, brace yourself during the day. The place does get a nice breeze though so it's not too bad. What shines the most though is the host, Joy - very accommodating, communicative, and helpful. Thank you so much for helping me find a way across town with my bags!!! I couldn't ask for a better experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarabino Inn! We stayed with our two children and they absolutely loved it as well. The property is easy to find and parking was simple. Everything was very clean and the Innkeeper, Joy was wonderful. She was willing to help out with anything that was needed or any recommendations. We would definitely stay again if passing through!

We played a show and came in late. The innkeeper Joy was incredibly communicative and got us in our room even though we checked in late. The room was beautiful, and we even explored the great history and architecture of the building.

Joy was a so very helpful to us as we had some very minor issues (tv wasn't connecting to internet), and some other small items that she helped us out right away. Really nice place and the bed was very comfortable!

The Tarabino is a grand old Victorian and the Garden Suite was on the first floor with a very pleasant sun patio with access to the back gardens. The large, well appointed bathroom with a claw footed tub is down a short hallway and is for exclusive use by our suite. We also ventured upstairs to take in the lovely view from the balcony. Everything was very clean. The one unavoidable problem we encountered is that there are a LOT of steps up from the street parking to the front door. Unfortunately, our hostess had a family emergency prior to our arrival so we never actually met anyone. We had a number we could call for emergencies and were offered access to the kitchen so we could make ourselves breakfast. This was clearly an unavoidable situation which was handled with grace. The Tarabino Inn is a great place to stay for a glimpse into the past.

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Joy is a great proprietor, and the inn is very comfortable. Walking distance to food, drink, and art. 10 minutes from great mountain biking and hiking. A wonderful place. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a last minute get a way. The Inn keeper Joy was friendly and accommodating and she even let my son meet her little dog Ollie. The location was perfect and just a little walk right into Main Street with tons of shops and museums. All of the townspeople and museum volunteers were super friendly and very informative with the history of the town. Looking forward to coming back.

This was our first time staying anywhere that was not a hotel. The Tarabino is a beautiful home, built in 1907, and was a wonderful experience. The architecture is something that will never be built again and it was amazing to stay in it for a couple nights. The views from the porches are wonderful and sitting on the main porch, in the shade, with a little breeze was really nice on a warm July day.

We were to stay in a pretty room with a bathroom. The radiator was absolutely cold. This could not be remedied. We were given to plug-in space heaters to heat the room. Let’s talk about the breakfast. There were little fruit cups in the refrigerator. There was stale granola. There were little bags of Cheerios and oatmeal however, there was no milk. That was the bed and breakfast. Stay away from this bed and breakfast.

However, according to Expedia, breakfast was included (no surprise since it is listed as a Bed and Breakfast). It's a beautiful old home that we felt privileged to stay in. So much more interesting than a chain-hotel. We loved the breakfast basket. Homemade blueberry muffin tops! Banana bread! An eclectic mixture of healthy and yummy treats that we enjoyed immensely on our long road trip that day.

This is a beautiful old house with large charming rooms. Bed was comfortable. We booked one night enroute to California. The website indicated that a full breakfast was included, as did the welcome email I received after booking. Next morning we came downstairs looking for breakfast but there was none, and no innkeeper to be found. I contacted the innkeeper and was told that it is only offered June-December. If we would’ve known, we would have stayed elsewhere as we were out in the middle of nowhere and there was no place to eat before heading out early the next morning. Also, our toilet was clogged—we looked everywhere for a plunger but couldn’t find one. We contacted the innkeeper who came straight away to try and fix it but was unable to. We had to use a toilet in another room on the opposite side of the house, which was super inconvenient in the middle of the night. We never met or saw the innkeeper or a manager. I reached out to them about partial compensation but didn’t hear back. Very disappointing. We won’t be back.

Loved staying in this beautiful old home. We were only there for a quick sleep before continuing our journey, but very glad we happened upon this place. The history is always fun to read about and imagine what life was like back then! Our breakfast basket was awesome! Very plentiful and was perfect for our needs. Thank you to our hosts!! Very quaint and historic and a lot of steps(squeaky). Fun stay, enjoyed it. Negative was the booking. Price went up the second I ADDED another day. Emails AFTER booking notified that there was no breakfast offered or welcome basket as in the advertising. Reached out to the owners, but nothing.

The new owner is wonderful! The whole trip was just perfect. The historical home was beautiful, well maintained, an antique lovers paradise. We feel very fortunate to have found such a treasure for our little get away! Jeanne was a delight and her hosting skills are amazing with a delicious breakfast, awesome charcuterie and wine, and tons of ever growing knowledge on Trinidad. Will definitely be back!

The management is shifting currently, but it is definitely off to a great start! The property is beautiful with glorious woodwork and original light fixtures throughout. Clawfoot tubs and the most luxurious towels will have your muscles wobbling after a great evening purusing main street. The host is charming amd efficient as she works to shuffle and prep the place she so obviously loves. The breakfast (quiche, fruit, muffins, and mimosas!) Was excellent and the company so good that we lingered more than an hour! It was an absolutely wonderful stay and i cannot wait to visit again and see what she does with this impressive property!

The house was gorgeous. There was no staff on site. The front door was open and I had to call the phone number I had to find out what room I was in. The tub wasn’t usable, the shower head was too high to adjust so it just shot out the back of the tub onto the floor. I’ve stayed in places without staff on site, but with the front and back door open, it felt a little uncomfortable.
