Nice, average condo. Very steep, long, dangerous stairs to get to the 2nd floor. Very difficult to carry luggage up and down. The kitchen was great. The bed was great. The shower was great. I wanted to do some work and watch tv at the same No work area, just an uncomfortable dining room table and uncomfortable couch to work and relax. But I will return

The hotel is in a fabulous location and the room is large and terrific, with a full kitchen. Just like advertised. Only issues were (1) parking on Monday evening is a huge pain, (2) the electric base heaters make a lot of noise all night, and (3) you can hear people walking in the room above - so if they get up at 7am to go skiing, then you will awake up too. Overall it's a terrific place, but be aware of those three things.

The location couldn't be better, right in the middle of the shopping and dining area. The view was outstanding. The apartment is big enough, the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need (could use a second skillet). Once in the apartment, we were quite comfortable. There is no elevator available nor a reasonable loading/unloading area near the entrance. No one present to greet me so I paid for parking to find a pass in the room. the email didn't mention a pass. I had to make 6 trips up and down the steps to get everything to the room. The wife is not allowed to lift anything.

The location couldn't be better, right in the middle of the shopping and dining area. The view was outstanding. The apartment is big enough, the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need (could use a second skillet). Once in the apartment, we were quite comfortable. There is no elevator available nor a reasonable loading/unloading area near the entrance. No one present to greet me so I paid for parking to find a pass in the room. the email didn't mention a pass. Lovely room overlooking the lake. Check in was quick and easy, just left the key for check out. Located right in the hub of town, with access to lots of dining, shopping and activities. Parking off site, but easy walk and you never need your car while you're there :)

Great romantic getaway! Very comfortable. Beautiful view of Mirror lake. We could hear the loons singing! We were staying in suite 7 all the way upstairs. 2 flights of steep stairs could be challenging for some. We were Hotel.com’s Gold members but late check-out is apparently not the owners’ cup of tea…

What an amazing place to stay , it’s absolutely beautiful and clean clean clean !!! There was not one spec of dust , dirt , grime anywhere !!! The corners of the floors and baseboards are spot free which are areas my eyes see especially in bathrooms, this place was spotless !!!! View of the mountains no matter which room you were in . Stayed in suite 8 which had the full view of the little park , and the most incredible view of the lake . I certainly appreciated how quiet the hotel was , we did hear people outside but that’s to be expected staying on the Main Street , but it was fine , didn’t bother us at all . Great location for hiking , we were minuits away from some amazing hikes , and the most amazing restaurants and shops , everywhere !!!! Shower was great , hot water and great pressure and an amazing view of the mountains while showering, just awesome. Parking was great , could see our car from our room , was a safe and well lit lot . Did not mind at all carrying our bags up to the room , that’s part of the charm here. Absolutely loved the Haus and would stay there again . Yulia was so so nice also , only met her during our check in , didn’t need her for anything once checked in as the accommodations were just perfect !!! Thank you for such as amazing stay !!!!!

This place was amazing! It had 2 bedrooms with very comfortable beds; a living room also with a very comfortable couch; a full kitchen; and a dining table. We had a corner room facing the street and it was so fun to watch the people on Main St. The windows were gigantic, so there was plenty of light. All this for the same or lower price the hotels were charging for just a room. Check-in and check-out was super easy and we had a parking pass for the municipal lots, one of which was just across the street. The building is located right in the heart of the village, on Main St. We will definitely book here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was equipped with everything needed to make some dinners in. Was nice staying in with the fireplace on making dinner. Parking was easy and check in super easy as well. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect overnight stay at The Haus. The unique, beautiful film fit right in with the Lake Placid atmosphere. Perfectly located in the center of Main Street. Host was welcoming and attentive. Clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Perfect overnight stay at The Haus. The unique, beautiful film fit right in with the Lake Placid atmosphere. Perfectly located in the center of Main Street. Host was welcoming and attentive. Clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

The entire process was a breeze. The keypad entry was efficient and meant one less thing to deal with. The suite itself was large, clean and could have been described as an apartment rather than a hotel room.

The property is located in an amazing location right on Main Street. It is very spacious with a great kitchen and two bedrooms. We found that several items in the apartment itself needed some love specifically around door handles and a couple of drawers. That could benefit from small repairs please be aware that in order to get to this second floor apartment you do need to climb through some steep stairs so if anyone has any accessibility challenges, this is not the place for you. This is advertised as part of the website but should be emphasized. Overall good option for a large apartment with a full kitchen but keep in mind the issues

This property was very dated. The entryway was filthy. The furnishings were tired. Cobwebs on the balcony w stained seat cushions. Bottom of the shower curtain was dirty. If you have mobility issues do not stay here! Steps and crappy load in process. Because it is an old building, every step on the creaky floor in the room above us was super loud. The parking situation was ridiculous! U hope to get a spot using your permit but often the area was full or closed and then you are out of luck because there are no spots on the street. The view was good and the location fine but the pictures of the facility were very misleading. Not a fan.

Location was great. Convenient check in. Great parking situation, as the yearly pass means you really can pretty much park and leave your car for days (with some exceptions). Staff communicated via email, as promised. The pictures were rather misleading though, as to both the amenities listed and the condition of the property. For example, our fireplace was probably about 16 wide. I wasn’t expecting a roaring wood fireplace but this thing was silly. The flooring and furniture has seen better days.

The Pros: Comfortable beds and living room seating, easy to use shower, kitchen with all the basic essentials, excellent location with easy access to multiple good restaurants and a park next door with a lake view The Cons: The stairs to the 3rd floor where most of the units are located are old and steep and have been covered with a vinyl material so that every step you take makes a terrible crunching noise. The carpeting at the entryway to the 3rd floor is filthy - although the carpeting in the rooms is clean. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are very loud - made it hard to sleep (there were earplugs in the bathroom but who wants to do that when you are “home”. ) Bottom line: We’d stay somewhere else next time.
