Beautiful hotel with fantastic gym, pool and spa facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and we ate in the bar and menu was extensive and food delicious. Look forward to staying here again soon.

It’s a decent stay for the price. The property is starting to show its age and the health club was out of commission during my stay. Included breakfast is good, not exceptional. It’s a short walk to the city center and all the great restaurants and pubs so not bad overall.

GREAT gym. Rooms are fine, they have done a superficial redecoration but for instance the cupboards are old. Common areas modern and to high standard, Good breakfast. Free parking. 15min wallk to centre.

Comfortable stay. Great staff with excellent breakfast options and service. Leisure centre and pool facilities were excellent and staff polite and friendly. Only downside the room was not ready untill 1630 which shortened our stay.

We stayed at this property for our last night in Ireland and were quite pleased with the property and service. The hotel is well located as you enter town with easy parking and walkability to the castle/city center. The room was spacious, well appointed with a large bathroom. My son especially enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and the gym seemed really nice. We didn't make use of the on site dining or spa amenities but it's nice that it's all there. Overall a good value and very pleasant/friendly customer service. Previous reviewers note the rooms can be stuffy- we did not feel that as we opened the windows for some fresh air (most of the buildings we were in in Ireland did not have or need central AC).

Estancia muy agradable, habitación espaciosa con camas cómodas. El desayuno estaba muy bueno y las instalaciones eran geniales. El parking en gratuito y se puede llegar al centro del pueblo andando a unos 15 min. Todo perfecto. Recomiendo este hotel.

This is a very nice hotel and you can use the pool at the gym that is attached! It is in a nice location- but a little far from town if you want to go to the castle or the medieval museum- you will probably want to drive.

The room was very nice and clean. Some of the common areas were overlooked when cleaning was taken place. We were there 3 days and crisps were on the floor outside the lifts all three days. The breakfast was not that impressive. We had better in other hotels that same week. The room was nice the bar food was good to. I'd give it a 7/10

Great location with plenty of options for dining and sightseeing. The rooms are clean and the staff were friendly. Just know that they do not have air conditioning in the rooms. They will provide you with a portable fan if requested. Well worth the cost to stay in this beautiful area.

Very nice luxury hotel, 20 minute walk outside of central Kilkenny. The rooms are very spacious. The gym is very nice, but very loud. The breatfast buffet is nice, but somewhat limited, as are the menu options.

The staff were friendly and the room was fairly clean, but everything seemed pretty old fashioned. The bathroom particularly needs an update. Also, the TV in the room was not only small, but positioned in the corner with the curtain slightly obscuring the view. The tea facilities were also in a really awkward place, high up, right beside the door so we didn’t use them. There also wasn’t any plugs near the bed so had to charge our phones the opposite side of the rooms which was very annoying. Only stayed one night so didn’t try any of the spa or pool facilities.

Had a fantastic night in this hotel. Lovely staff and very helpful. The staff upgraded my room to a deluxe as it was my birthday and I hadn't even known only for my girlfriend had asked to upgrade. When I needed a phone charger they were quick to assistance with a USB type extension lead so I went out to hit the town fresh and recharged. I would happily come back to this hotel and I am currently planning to.

Kilkenny Hotel is a great hotel. Our room was very nice and quite spacious. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were very welcoming and friendly. Not a criticism but just a comment, the gentleman that checked us in was very professional and efficient but not friendly. He’s the only person not to have a welcoming smile and kind words.

This hotel had a large number of amenities within the hotel but wasn't really that close to anything downtown. It was a good 15-20 min walk to make it to more of the downtown food options and Kilkenny castle. There was also a gas station (if you wanted a quick breakfast) nearby but it was very difficult to walk to due to the fence running the property.

We had a great stay in Kilkenny. Celebrating our honeymoon and surprised us with a nice sweet treat when we arrived. Hotel is a 10-15 min walk outside the castle / city centre which is perfect location. Huge parking lot on site which is free to use for guests. Staff were friendly and room was perfect for what we needed. Would highly recommend.

It’s a very nice, modern facility, in a good part of town. If you don’t mind a 15-20 minute walk or 5-minute Uber to the main pedestrian area, you can’t beat the amenities. We’d stay again.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic gym, pool and spa facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and we ate in the bar and menu was extensive and food delicious. Look forward to staying here again soon.

We arrived on a Friday night in September for a 1 night stay. We should have known it was was going to be a bad night when they they never texted us to tell us our room was ready. There happened to be a wedding reception (more than one) in progress when we arrived. We were tired so we ate at the hotel. Big mistake. The worst food we had in Ireland, hands down. Regardless, we just wanted a good night sleep and continue our vacation to our next destination. Just as we were going to sleep, at 11pm we could hear from our room loud music, literally pounding in our room. I called the desk and they told me that the music would end at 12:00. When 12:39 came and the loud music continued, my wife went to the desk to complain. She requested that we get moved to another room in another part of the hotel. We ended up moving to a room at 12:30pm where the noise was inaudible. We finally managed to get some sleep. In general, the rooms are outdated, the food was awful and the service was horrible. The toilets in both rooms continue to run water after flushing. It clearly is waste of water. The rooms are outdated, bathrooms, electrical outlets, etc.

Very nice luxury hotel, 20 minute walk outside of central Kilkenny. The rooms are very spacious. The gym is very nice, but very loud. The breatfast buffet is nice, but somewhat limited, as are the menu options.

Comfortable stay. Great staff with excellent breakfast options and service. Leisure centre and pool facilities were excellent and staff polite and friendly. Only downside the room was not ready untill 1630 which shortened our stay.

The hotel itself looks good from the outside and the lobby, however the rooms are very dated and old. The faucets and shower head are old and dirty and the room could really use a good cleaning and some updating. The breakfast was not good and the hot part of the breakfast was just re-reheated food. It did not feel freshly made. I had better breakfast at all other hotels we stayed on our Ireland trip.

Great hotel! Beautiful spacious rooms. It's a 15 minute walk to the town centre but that was fine for us. If you're not able/wanting to walk that far every day and back, I would look at staying somewhere more central. Otherwise this hotel was excellent and very friendly staff. I would recommend that for the room with the terrace, it would have been nice to have a couple of chairs and a side table to be able to enjoy the terrace. That would be my only recommendation. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff were excellent throughout. Breakfast was very good, with a vast selection of foods available in the buffet and a lovely choice of sit-down menu. The room was very big, with very comfortable beds. We had plenty of space even with the rollout bed for our teen and we all slept very well. Just felt for 4star the room was a little tired and needs a bit of TLC.

Hyggelig og stort hotell med stor parkeringsplass utenfor. En herlig frokost med full irish breakfast. Rommene var store og rene. Vi fikk dessverre ikke tid til å bruke alle hotellets fasiliteter da vi hadde sen ankomst. Beliggenhet litt for langt fra sentrum etter vår smak, det tok oss 15 minutter å gå til sentrum med restauranter og butikker.

This is a beautiful hotel within a short distance of Kilkenny city centre. Rooms were well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A full buffet and cooked breakfast were available and both breakfast and bar food menus were excellent.
