Good but not great - have stayed in similar hold/spa hotels for half the cost and had much better experience. Over all it was ok, but that’s all. We were not warned that a Christmas market was taking place during our stay so utter chaos! The room size was nice but tired, worn and dated decor food was good, both dinner and breakfast. (Be warned the plates at breakfasts dangerously hot!) Overall staff seemed a bit disinterested, other than th breakfast staff who were consistently happy and chirpy. The entire needs a thorough cleaning, dirty windows, stained carpets everywhere , marks on walls, bathroom sealant mouldy. And over all rather dated. “Spa” was the most disappointing. Overall dirty and tired. Pool has areas of green on the tiles, bins not emptied, cold poolside showers no shampoo in the changing room showers, under the sauna benches filthy (black/muddy) dirty sinks. And not helped that the no one seemed to bother with the spa etiquette of showering. Plus side - Golf had been enjoyable , even in the subzero temperatures! Also no EV charging on site.

Helpful staff lovely rooms and food was excellent. The only downside was no children allowed in the pool after 10:00am which was disappointing as we specifically chose the hotel for the pool so had to have 2 very early morning starts.

Good hotel, nice sized room, staff very friendly. hotel and spa needs refurbishing. Crack and dirty sealant in shower tray. Spa area needs a very good clean, marks on walls, broken handle in steam room. More staff needed in bar area as tables were not cleared! Golf course looked nice. Plenty of free parking.

Room was spacious and breakfast was good. Easy parking but no EV charging. Room keys repeatedly failed. Lift carpets were dirty. Building was new but lacked character or atmosphere.

The hotel is well kept and clean, but traditional looking. We stayed in a suite and had a limited, restricted view of the golf course. The staff answer all questions but the hotel does not cater well for families, especially with younger children. For use of a mobile cot, payment had to be made which is not something seen often today. Use of facilities like the swimming pool for families with children under 16 is very limited. Only a few hours in the morning. So this can spoil your plans for the day especially if weather dependent. Breakfast was nice enough but selection is also limited. Dining at the hotel is costly with limited meal choices for vegetarian or specialized diets like Halal catering.

Lovely setting and views of open countryside. The facilities were great and nice to have use of the spa inclusive in the price. Relaxed but also felt quite luxurious. The only minor grumbles were the lack of working lockers in the spa and the coffee machine at breakfast used longlife milk. Room size and facilities were great!

Great location and nice views. The hotel had decent facilities however, jacuzzi didn’t seem to work properly. There was also some confusion on the first day we arrived, as we were told at reception the pool closed at 6pm that Sunday, only to be told at the pool that we needed to leave at 5pm. Overall hotel was ok.

Plenty of parking available, which felt secure. Unfortunately, there are no EV charging points for guests—only three reserved for staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a little dated (but perfectly functional). The golf course was fantastic and is clearly the main attraction of the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout. The spa facilities were fairly basic, with just a sauna and steam room—both clean, slightly dated, but working well. The jacuzzi by the pool was in good condition, the pool itself was lovely, and the gym was well equipped. Dinner was very enjoyable—I had steak and chips, which were excellent. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel and would be happy to return.

The hotel is very tired which I can cope with but sadly it's also not too clean. Spa area was very dirty with ingrained dirt on swimming pool tiles and slimy walls in shower cubicles. The rooms are large and beds comfortable but again, cleaning wasn't very diligent. Breakfast needs attention. Bullet hard poached egg and tough overcooked bacon although I think these issues are partially caused by the very hot serving plates.

Room was very clean and spacious with comfy beds. Friendly staff and rest of hotel spotless. Breakfast was very nice too . Stunning views from dining area. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Would be nice to have a selection of fruit to help yourself to at breakfast and water stations around howl to fill up bottles.

The property was as expected (we stay once annually) but, lacking a view from the window.The toilet flush was only working in part and the basin tap was very stiff.The wardrobe had not been dusted top or bottom:a little more attention to detail would lift the rating somewhat.

Hotel reception area and room welcoming start however leisure spa pool and changing area no way near the images the hotel advertised need some tlc.skylight over pool filthy and could easily be cleaned externally with power wash, ceiling over pool had brown staining horrible plastic kitchen bin by pool. Changing room shower wash despenser gaffa taped and broken doors with paint missing and a velvet chair from rooms in changing cubicle definitely not hygienic with wet costumes. Gym equipment good however could do with deep clean and bin at 7.30am full and overflowing. Gym also closes fairly early at 8pm. Hotel room 126 was facing delivery area and at 630am woken with deliveries and trollies being pushed around definitely not a room for a good sleep

Didn't find staff particularly friendly, however did let us check in early. Shower had mould in and outside of shower dirty. Breakfast basic and building and certain areas seem quite dated.

Room was cold. Had to ring reception twice to get someone to come and see why. I good told you keep bathroom door shut ! He then went and got me an electric fire which was on all night. In the night when I opened the door to the bathroom I was freezing in there

Room was very clean and spacious with comfy beds. Friendly staff and rest of hotel spotless. Breakfast was very nice too . Stunning views from dining area. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Would be nice to have a selection of fruit to help yourself to at breakfast and water stations around howl to fill up bottles.

We were there as a couple for an night away. Unfortunately, even though we had an executive room, it was disabled and so the shower had a seat right under the shower and there were 2 sinks at different levels. The room was otherwise ok but we found the hotel in general a little bit dated. Reception tried to change rooms but there was no availability. Breakfast was ok but not especially amazing. We found it quite expensive for what it was

Hotel reception area and room welcoming start however leisure spa pool and changing area no way near the images the hotel advertised need some tlc.skylight over pool filthy and could easily be cleaned externally with power wash, ceiling over pool had brown staining horrible plastic kitchen bin by pool. Changing room shower wash despenser gaffa taped and broken doors with paint missing and a velvet chair from rooms in changing cubicle definitely not hygienic with wet costumes. Gym equipment good however could do with deep clean and bin at 7.30am full and overflowing. Gym also closes fairly early at 8pm. Hotel room 126 was facing delivery area and at 630am woken with deliveries and trollies being pushed around definitely not a room for a good sleep

Plenty of parking available, which felt secure. Unfortunately, there are no EV charging points for guests—only three reserved for staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a little dated (but perfectly functional). The golf course was fantastic and is clearly the main attraction of the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout. The spa facilities were fairly basic, with just a sauna and steam room—both clean, slightly dated, but working well. The jacuzzi by the pool was in good condition, the pool itself was lovely, and the gym was well equipped. Dinner was very enjoyable—I had steak and chips, which were excellent. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel and would be happy to return.

I given you bad reviews because i stay in your hotel on 06 June - 7 June 2025,I pay deposit 100£ on my check-in (06 June ) and on my checkout (07 June 2025 ) they didn't give me the deposit back. Today is 01 July 2025 and yet I didn't get my money back,they said is make the refund back on 13 June 2025 but I didn't get this money....Big scam, I don't recommend

No air conditioning working. And whilst a very small heater was provided all I can say is grateful it was mid autumn as we did not require the air conditioning. Shame we were not told on booking. Breakfast was awful. It took 50 mins for my cooked breakfast to arrive and when it did it was not edible. On the table next to us was a coupe with allergies who specifically told the staff about and was still served food that could have made them unwell. This is the third time we have stayed and very disappointed. Think twice about staying - especially if you pay extra for breakfast.

Looks lovely from pics but definitely some rooms dated and rude receptionist! I was given the ‘red room’ which felt like walking in a time warp from the 70’s! The carpet was filthy and had not been cleaned, dreadful lumpy bed, broken lock on bathroom door, hair in bath, and safe not working. When I called reception and politely explained and asked to speak to a manager the receptionist said twice they were fully booked and that she did not like the ‘tone of MY voice! Again I politely asked to speak to manager. Manager Gemma came and sorted the problem out, and offered me a choice of two rooms and was apologised for the member of staff. Thank you Gemma for your kindness however I will not be staying there again ever.

Really nice large rooms with big comfy beds, fresh sheets, nice modern and clean bathrooms. Rooms are very quiet and the staff is friendly, helpful and always smiling. Beautiful views of the golf course and farms surrounding it. Just a short drive into Thames which is such a cute little city with excellent food options and shopping. And there's a hot tub, pool and sauna! Loved it!

The hotel and golf club is a beautiful building set back from the road by some distance leading to a very peaceful and quiet stay. The room I had was a classical style, large, and included a small outside terrace looking into the central courtyard. Tea and coffee facilities available but no bottled water. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, and good continental options available too. Really nice orange juice!! Had an evening meal in the bar, which was satisfactory but perhaps slightly overpriced for what it was. All in all, I had a lovely couple of nights and would happily recommend the hotel to others.

It was a little more than the usual hotels i stay at however was worth every penny. If a relaxing stay without the crowds at the pool, spa or breakfast is what you want. Absolutely the place to be. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner overviews of lush greenery. Perfect.

Great location and staff very helpful and friendly. There was a wedding happening whislt we stayed there and apart from seeing the bride and groom doing their photos we didnt even know a wedding was happening. Nice countryside walk into Thame as well. If i had to find issues then the room could have done with some complimentary water and dressing gowns though which was a bit of a surprise considering we were in a suite and the cost of it. Car park is a bit of a walk if its raining. However those little things didnt ruin a great 2 night stay!

The hotel is looking quite tired . Which is fine is everything else is good but sadly the Food was very poor and very overpriced . And the Bar was understaffed so queues most the time and the Prices where ridiculous. Vodka and coke over £10 . Pint of beer £7 . Guinness £9 . We were a medium size group and decided as a that the overpriced drinks and poor service and poor food would be the reason we would not return despite the Golf course being superb .

Breakfast was lovely, bar staff in the Lounge were very friendly. Spa could have been open a bit longer, as didn’t let you in just after 7.30pm and a double gin & tonic was £14.70, so a tad pricy. The pulled pork fries were delicious and good portion size.

Friendly reception staff, easy check in/out. Room was clean, with eco toiletries but room was looking tired. Breakfast service was very good, as was the breakfast. No fresh coffee, it was an automatic machine with UHT milk. Lovely view of the golf course at breakfast time, shame about the dirty windows. We used the restaurant in the evening, a service charge is added, not sure what for, as a waiter took our order, food served, no check to see if the meal was ok, left to our own devices, an expensive meal and service charge for no service!, Pool area - the changing rooms and comments are the same as what you find on trip advisor from a few years ago. Wet/pools of water in the changing rooms. Showers useless in the changing room, dirty cubicles. Plastic bags provided for wet swimwear. Cold showers in the pool area. Sauna ok, steam room not hot.

Room was clean, comfortable and warm. Food leaves a bit to be desired in the bar, really basic and not great for price charged. Otherwise good, will return in future but would encourage a refresh in menu I’ve been coming on and off for a couple of years now and there’s been little or no change.

One of the nicest hotel stays I have had for a while! Room and bathroom was far better than an average hotel room, and good quality toiletries. Breakfast was best hotel breakfast I’ve had for years! Spa/sauna was nice. Lady on reception was super helpful and friendly :) :)

Hotel and spa is a stretch. Rooms dirty (Sand from bunkers on the golf course). Towels with massive holes in, a spa (loose term) that wouldn’t look out of place in a run down caravan site. Then food and drink that’s ££££ and average at best. Would avoid

Had a good nights stay at the Oxfordshire Golf Hotel & Spa, Room was Huge with separate lounge and bedroom area. The view over the golf course was also lovely , especially as the weather was amazing! Only down side for me was that on the day of my visit the bar was suffering with an issue with their beer chillers, this meant the beer was warm. These things do happen, i know from experience having lived in a pub. I swapped my pint for a bottle of beer but was not offered a refund of the difference in cost. Would return again for sure.
