It was difficult to figure out where the hotel’s parking was until after I checked in. But it was fine once they told me.

Loved the climbing gym

Nice staff, super cute facility. Definitely designed for outdoorsy/athletic folks. There is a climbing gym, indoor skate park, yoga classes, etc. all in the hotel building that are super cool! Cute lobby with a cafe and free photo booth. Not a ton of close parking, but it is free. It’s just street parking, and most of the road is under construction as well as the lot on the other side of the street. Whole first floor smells like a gym. Rooms are nice, cute, and clean, but not very soundproof. Can hear people in other rooms and hallways pretty loud. Overall would recommend!

Major construction occurring next to the hotel so parking is limited and nose level in the morning is high.

This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed—we bouldered for free (included in the stay), and everything is clean and welcoming. There are cornholes and a lounge on the floor with the rooms and a nice bar and coffee shop. There’s construction close by but it didn’t bother us. Lots of incredible restaurants—check out Laziz, a Lebanese place nearby. Delicious and lovely!

We only stayed overnight. It was a good place to stop overnight. Parking is all street parking, so unloading and loading could be smoother. The gym was great, however as we went on a holiday it wasn't open overnight which would have been preferable but, that isn't anyone's fault. In the morning, it would have been easier to grab coffee and food at the cafe downstairs, however after we loaded the car and went back in, it turned out that they went on break. Otherwise it is definitely a cool spot to check out.

This place is amazing, I wish we had been able to enjoy it for a full week. We were utterly shocked when we arrived to find a full skate park INSIDE with skate shop to boot. they also have a HUGE Bouldering gym that guests get passes to. There are 2 outdoor gear stores on site, as well as a bar and Barista. The staff were some of the best we've ever met, very friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and activities. The bouldering gym was running a competition over the weekend so we were able to watch some crazy good climbers do their thing. Even with all the things going on our room was comfortable and quiet, the lobby was not inundated with loud obnoxious yungins. Everyone was very congenial and friendly.

Super fun hotel with great amenities! Lots of local breweries within walking distance. Shopping and entertainment on site. Highly recommend if you want a non standard hotel experience!

I was a bit taken back with the industrial rooms and no windows in the room (just a change of pace) but beds were comfortable and for the most part the rooms were clean although there were cob webs coming from the open ventilation both in my daughters room and mine Staff was very courteous both on check in and departure The hotel needs better signage as we drove right by it The kids enjoyed the games

When I first got there, I saw hair on my pillow and bed. There was no place to sit besides the bed. The TV was in the middle of the room with no where to sit. I asked for room service and no one came... For the price not the best experiment.

Very unique hotel. It has a climbing gym, yoga studio and fitness center within the building. It also has several outdoor gear stores. The coffee stand is very good. The hotel is very clean. The only things I didn't like were the windowless room and the low rafters on one side of the room. It was also very quiet and clean.

This hotel needs a wake up call. Starting with cleanliness of the hotel rooms to the nosey staff. The girl working the cafe is rude and the girl working the front desk Monday morning caused me a huge inconvenience by not properly activating my key that was disabled @ 10:30am. When I was told at check in it was disable at 11:00am. The rooms were filthy covered in dog, human hair and bugs. Roaches in one room. Gross. The staff in the store need help w/customer service and now racially profiling guest STAYING AT THE HOTEL. I also did NOT get the 10% discount because the guy working said the item was already marked down for Black Friday. Sad reason to not give a discount. The maid was nosey and rushy and for what reason the rooms were absolutely disgusting. She was also lingering in the hallways. Super weird. The balconies are a plus bc not many hotels in SLC have them but some changes are due!

The atmosphere was cool. But the bathroom and walking into the room smelled like wet dog. Should have asked for a non pet friendly room on are part. Was a good stay.

We enjoyed our stay in the "Wasatch Two Doubles" room at the Evo hotel, despite not taking advantage of the perks like indoor rock climbing etc. It was a very clean and quiet hotel. It was also within an easy and safe walk to a couple breweries.

We went for a small business market being held at the hotel. My favorite was the bouldering gym and fitness center. Our room was very clean and tidy. 5 stars!

Rough looking upon arrival. Construction everywhere. Not a friendly check in. Room was much smaller than expected. Not clean. Hair on pillow in bed and on sheets. Parking was a trainwreck. Coffee shop was great. Location was pretty good. Definitely not our vibe. Was basically a skateboard park. Never would stay again.

Rooms and facilities really clean-was construction going on next door but didn’t hear any of it in our room-room was on the smaller side but manageable.

My husband and I first made reservations for one night, we left thinking that we would check out another hotel, but we loved this one so much we decided to check back in, the employee at the front desk made it so easy. They were polite and professional. The room although small and perhaps uncomfortable for a tall couple, it was perfect for my husband and I. The room was very clean, bathroom was roomie, and overall it was just a great experience. Parking was also a breeze.

Staff is nice and rock climbing wall and atmosphere is amazing.. However, the bunk beds are horrific, i didnt feel safe for my twenager sleeping there.. also, they do offer earplugs but we could hear everyones conversations , including construction workers and children running. Also room doesnt have a fridge but they did give us a cooler upon inquiry. So overall, nice place for young couple or single athletic person who sleeps through everything but i dont think it is the best option for families

People and vibe was very cool and loved the options of a great work out. The front desk staff was fantastic and so helpful. The only disappointment was how loud my room was when the store opened......the music echoed from the store right into my room and was very loud...I could hear each lyric. Only solution was ear plugs and the white noise machine did not work.

I was put into a room with NO WINDOW! No joke. See the picture. This was NOT disclosed when I booked. I am only 5'7" and could NOT stand up next to the bed due to the angle of the roofline. Parking is atrocious as in there is not any. Street parking proved incredibly difficult to find a spot. There was no TV as well but it is a basic item that everyone expects. I paid $250 for this room. What I received was worth $40. The neighborhood around was like a demilitarized zone. Buildings around it had been torn down. Perhaps the whole block is being renovated but it looks awful. This place is like a dorm ABOVE an indoor skate park, retail shop and climbing gym. I think if you are a 20 to 30 something and wanted to do some indoor bouldering or skating this place could be of interest except for the cost! The staff was friendly, I have no beef with that. I booked with Hotels.com, not the Evo Hotel, but no human on earth would assume a windowless room was possible. This is not a capsule hotel in Tokyo. The hotel should clearly indicate that they have windowless rooms. I would not have booked. There is no restaurant in the building. I was told there is a restaurant a few blocks away. There are no sidewalks and it was snowing. There is a bar but no food items and no beer on tap, just cans. They also had wine and hard liquor. I will never return nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Just don't.

The rooms as described by hotels.com were inaccurate. My original room had no windows and i feel that i should have been informed of such. Bad info. More expensive room had window

Room did not have window to outside, only to the atrium area, but it was comfortable

Nothing particularly bad happened during my stay but it wasn’t worth the price to me. I would stay at a comparatively priced normal hotel next time, and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Stayed in the rafter room, prolly banged my head against it 15 times. The bag stand and every other piece of furniture is in the short (4 foot ceiling) part of the room. No sound insulation between the rooms. Must climb stairs to access the room so it sucks to haul your ski bag in and out. The vibe is that they teleported several businesses from the block of their Seattle shop into a warehouse, and you’re living in it. Notably, they forgot to bring stone way cafe or sea wolf :/. Service was average. Reception told us we could check out at noon, then walked that back. My room was clean, but my friends found dirt in their furniture. Towels never swapped during my 4 night stay. Everything else was fine. Access to a real gym was nice, I appreciated the foam rollers and sauna. And it was convenient to have the evo shop look at my ski. But ultimately, just a perk for a ski trip where you need a car anyways, and evidently you do pay $25 a day for that “luxury.” Ultimately, for me it just wasn’t worth the price. This either needs to be higher or lower end, but the current price point is a rip, imo. You’ll probably appreciate it more if you love living in a climbing gym or evo store, which, to be fair, is their whole shtick.

Well- no hangers, no iron, no mini fridge. No coffee, no closet and you have to ask the bar for ice. The stand lamp was broken and the only way to turn it off was to untwist the bulb. Cute hotel but weird vibe.

First, the roof was oddly shaped to where you could easily hit your head walking by. There was no windows in our room so alarms are a must to wake up on time. There was no fridge or microwave as all our food spoiled. There was no door for the shower so the floor would be completely soaked even with a towel. Parking lot was very small and we had to park in the rocks.

Interesting property and cool campus with action sports/alpine theme but - had it been made clear that the rooms were windowless, extremely dark, bare bones, and sloped ceilings, I would have booked elsewhere as the overall experience felt claustrophobic. Allergies to the feather stuffed pillows made sleep a challenge, too. But on the bright side (no pun intended as I couldn't see much) the room was clean, decent new bathroom, free parking, and strong complimentary WiFi. This is definitely just a place to enjoy the environment outside of the room & to rest your head but unfortunately didn’t find much rest here. Not for me as lodging, but the communal spaces I would visit again and would probably work for others who don’t need much light, natural or otherwise.

The building and the staff were amazing!!! The only downside was the parking and the construction around us. Other than that, it was GREAT!!!!

Kennedy made my whole stay. If she’s not recognized or appreciated this review will be a highlight of her amazingness. From the moment I walked to the front desk, she had the most welcoming energy and attitude. She was super informative on the property and gave details about my stay, most employees wouldn’t even care to share or remember. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and accommodating. She is the reason I would come back. I loved my room and the bed was amazing. However, her customer service designates the most! Thank you guys for having a gem!

Staff was very nice and vibe of the hotel is great.

Clean, comfy bed… but strange amenities fee & not all staff are very friendly… e.g. today’s team was great, but yesterday’s cafe barista couldn’t bother to squeeze a smile out, which was ironic given the “smile! You are on camera” sign in the cafe.

With active construction happening at the property, it took a few times to get a room that would be just right. MK, Bee and the barista (whose name escapes me!) were nothing short of wonderful and made. Stay that started off bumpy, one that I look forward to again in the coming months.

Front desk services are excellent

This was an overnight stay for a music festival we were attending. The EVO was in walking distance of the venue and also some very tasty dining options. To be honest, the area looks sketchy at first sight but it is anything but sketchy. We safely walked to a restaurant and then the venue and much later

Overall a good place to stay. It's not located in a great area of SLC, but we didn't have any issues. The set up inside is very unique, which we really liked. The price was fair and there were things to do and see around the hotel.

Everything was amazing. Just surrounding area was not up to par with the hotel.

This place is so cool. Our rafters room was cozy with a nice bathroom. We had good coffees and breakfast sandwiches at the cafe before leaving. I would come back to take advantage of the gym and spend more time in the area.

Cool building concept, poorly executed. Windowless room very noisy, too spare (no toothbrush cup, in-room coffee, “breakfast bar” extremely limited choice and poor quality), parking extremely limited, front staff poorly trained. Needs refinement. Feels incomplete. Relies too heavily on “outdoor bums are happy with anything” image.

There was no parking, the street parking was shared with a bouldering gym and some retail shops. Broken glass in the nearby streets from cars being broken into. The room had no windows and I bumped my head on the rafters when I woke up. Only one cup of drip coffee available in the morning. Was more of a vibe then a hotel. Drinks were comped though.

This place was definitely geared towards a younger audience there are a lot of really fun amenities like yoga, Full gym, bouldering and a skate park. I’m a little disappointed that breakfast isn’t until seven as we had a long drive today and were well before anything was open. And they don’t have one of those little shops that you can get stuff if you forgot it but if you’re planning on roughing it and you’re here for the adventure it was a 10 out of 10 stay!

Boutique hotel, its nice, rooms are nice, if you like yoga, rock climbing the gym is available, the rooftop bar is nice. Only downside if you are staying too long there is no closet. The area around there are nice places to eat or drink, you can easily walk to SLC Downtown, closest train station is just a couple of blocks away. For a quick stay I prefer this place over any other hotel on the same price range.

This property is very unique. It actually looks more like a rec center from the outside than a hotel. While it was a bit eclectic for our normal taste, we enjoyed staying here. We didn't get an opportunity to use the fitness center, but the hotel lobby was a great place to work. One con of the hotel, however, is that there is no food on the premises outside of a coffee bar. Therefore, you had to order delivery for everything, which was okay, but not ideal. It's important to note that the rooms do not have a desk. They're nice and functional for sleeping and resting, but not for a longer stay.
