Need elevator on opposite end of hotel. Long lines build up at elevator

The hotel wasn't a bad experience. But the fact that the elevators did t work properly was horrible. There was only one working. And being 4th of july weekend made that even worse. From what other guests were saying it apparently was an on-going issue that had not been fixed for sometime. So that is definitely a big issue. Very hot hallways. Other than that, the hotel was great.

Need more area for the dogs to go to the bathroom

There is only 1 elevator to accommodate 4 floors of guests.

Would have like to have seen better landscaping around the pool area.

Very nice hotel! Very clean great breakfast in the morning. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Really nice gym and laundry area. Pool looked nice, a bit smaller in person. Was too cold out to try and use. Walking distance to the beach. Great Mexican restaurant called Salsa within walking distance. Quick ride to the cruise port. Also not far from pleasure pier. Was too cold and rainy to go. Nice sized rooms and comfortable beds. The pull out sofa was so so. The two young adults that slept there were a bit sore in the morning. Lots of area in the lobby to sit and play card games. Bar area and foosball tables. Would highly recommend.

I like this property. It was clean and good location. Be aware they charge for parking.

Pros Great place close to everything! Cons Noisy and there out side light comes on so there no privacy. So I really can’t chill at night unless u will be see at. Oh music blasting loud for a few hours on there pool

The checking process and the overall room was fine. However, the hotel only had one working elevator which caused major backups. I found out from a worker that it has been broken for at least three weeks. The pool is extremely small and the water color was absolutely disgusting. To the point where my child didn’t even want to get in.

We arrived very late in the night around 12:30/1am and after getting to a room after long travel we checked-in. When we went into the room and started to unpack we saw 2 cockroaches crawling the walls. Have pictures for proof as i took picture as my husband had to bang the wall to kill them. We called the front desk for a different room but they said they were fully booked. We were on the second floor and the balcony overlooked the porte.

We found multiple cockroaches in our room, and when we moved rooms, we had tiny bugs everywhere on the walls and on the sheets. Staff didn’t even apologize or say sorry for the infestation of bugs

My preference is always Home2 Suites due to the rooms having the sink, fridge, dishwasher. This recent time our rooms kitchen area had ants everywhere and small roaches. First time having an issue with the rooms. Apart from that, we still like this facility and love the front desk staff in the PM.

Whenever we go on vacation we stay at Home2 Suite, but this time the place was not clean, I found hair under the sheets, the hallways were dirty

The hotel stay was wonderful. Great view of the gulf. Great breakfast. Room was nice. The only thing i wanted to mention was in the bathroom, small tiny roaches were in the bathroom. I would give a 5 but for the bugs.

The hotel was easy to find. It’s right across the street from the beach. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was good and the staff kept the area clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

They had us in room 405 great room very comfy. They put an elephant on the 5th floor which must of been running with zebras all night . We got minimal sleep 😴

Friendly staff, clean facility, and clean rooms! Plenty of walkable restaurant options, and the busy pleasure pier area is right down the street.

Poor sound proof, you can hear your neighbour talking

The view was awesome. The room was very clean. The only cons that I have are that I thought a stove top was included especially with a full fridge, microwave and a dishwasher We kept getting kicked out the Wi-Fi and the cable kept buffering we had to keep refreshing it. We couldn't hook the firestick to the television

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our check-in experience was great! The hotel’s location is perfect — right by the beach, near the pier carnival, and surrounded by plenty of food options. The hotel was spotlessly clean and smelled amazing. The pool was super cute and perfect for our soon-to-be 1 and 2-year-old. Breakfast was also amazing! They offered two options — a continental breakfast and a grab-and-go station where you could make your own breakfast sandwich with chicken patties, ham, cheese, bagels, and croissants. Most guests seemed to be coming from or heading to a cruise, which made the atmosphere really fun and lively. Overall, it was an amazing stay! The hotel is very family-friendly, and our two-queen suite with a beach balcony view was spacious — easily fitting six adults and a couple of kids. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again! 🌊🏖️

Room was great walls are to thin sounded like someone was having a dance party above us all night could hear people talking next door and they weren't even talking loud didn't get any sleep I will not stay in this hotel again especially for almost 300 dollars a night pure rip off

Told me room would be ready early but it wasn’t .. tried to check in at 4 pm room still not ready .. but watched agent check person behind me in .. whatever. Finally room ready about 445 .. girls at desk kind of clueless .. coffee was ugh sludgie and not hot at all ick .. and no hot tea water at all .. had to leave early 430 am agent was asleep in chair with blanket haha .. oh well better stick with holiday inn.

I did not get the ocean view I booked, their idea of a privacy curtain in the room was sheer and see through, one elevator was broke and the working was literally the slowest one I have been on in my almost 53 years of living. 20.00 for parking but no security and nowhere for visitors to park without paying if you don’t want to get towed. I definitely was not impressed with the lady who told me some bs story why I wasn’t getting my ocean view after driving 6 hours to get there. She wasn’t even apologetic or nice about being she works in customer service and is the face of the hotel when you walk in. I love this chain but not this location.

Very clean room. Staff went above and beyond to get us checked in early.

Check in was quick and went smoothly. We go up to our room and after about 30 mins, I find a balled up, severely make-up stained face cloth in a bathroom drawer. I’m abhorred and call the front desk to let them know. Demeris at the front desk, paused for about 5 seconds then said something very sarcastic. She didn’t apologize or anything! Didn’t offer to have someone come up and remove the used facecloth from the bathroom either. After we hung up I was getting more and more upset about it so I called back down there. Someone answered and hung up. I called right back. A lady picked up the phone and sighed and said “Yes?” I recognized the lady who answered as the same one I’d spoken to before and asked her name and she said Demeris. I told her that I didn’t appreciate her response to my complaint and that I wanted to speak with a manager. She paused for a bit (again!) and said, well do you want me to have somebody come get it, there’s no manager here. I’m like, Yes!! By this point I am absolutely seething. So I go down to the front desk. No one is there. Finally a lady comes out and I ask to see Demeris. When Demeris comes out, I introduce myself as the guest who found the dirty towel in the bathroom. I told her if a guest complains, the FIRST thing you do is apologize. After some other words, I asked for the managers contact and she gave me his card. I should’ve called. But it was late and I was tired. She needs a refresher course on customer service, Now. Terrible attitude.

I liked the convenience to the beach and the cleanliness of the room. I think the customer service representatives could be a little more enthusiastic or at least express a little more happiness.

The staff was great! Everyone was amazing, I will be back next summer for sure!

We primarily enjoyed the hotel for it's proximity to the beach. We could easily access the beach each day. The beds were comfortable and there were good breakfast options. Areas that could be improved is the friendliness of staff. We arrived about 2:15 and were told our room would be ready by 2:30 or 3:00, so we decided to wait before venturing out. At 3:00 I went back to the desk to ask again and was told no it was not ready, but they would call housekeeping to find out when. I was not told an answer. Again at 4:00, I went to ask again and a different person was there. When I told her I had already asked twice, she just said, "check-in is at 4:00" She didn't apologize for the miscommunication or even smile. I just wondered why the first person didn't say this? The other issue was that on 2 nights the people in the room upstairs banged around until 1:00am, so sleeping was difficult. Finally, I did hear that people staying at the connected hotel (TRU) were only charged $10/night for parking while Home2Suites charged $20/night. Both hotels used the same lot, so that seemed unfair and excessive to me. Other than these issues the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay.

This was our first visit to this hotel in the Galveston area. We come for dickens on the strand each year. We love the proximity to the beach and some other nearby attractions. The front desk staff was often unavailable or scarce. The breakfast was wonderful. The facility is very nice. There is also posted ours on the door of the bar, but when we inquired, they said the bar was closed until a later time.

The breakfast, maintenance, and housekeeping staff were all great. The front desk staff, more specifically, the night front desk staff either need retraining or they don’t need to be front line employees. I asked two questions at check in and was told, “I just got here, let me get adjusted and I’ll let you know.” Never got the questions answered. They were easy questions. Is my room facing the Seawall and did you see on my reservation that I had a service animal, I figured the first out on my own and didn’t care about the 2nd being answered. If they don’t care about the details why should a guest? Next, I stayed 2 days, paid $454 a night…ridiculous for this hotel. If the airbnb would have answered I would have stayed there for half the cost for an ENTIRE house. Another issue, we stayed 2 nights, I had to get new cards 3 different times. I kept them in their sleeves in my pocket, alone. No cell phones or anything else came in contact with them. Why are we paying for parking when we pay almost $500/night?! Lastly and most importantly, the staff never secured the gate leading into the pool from the parking lot. I came through that way every time my cards didn’t work. I told the staff each time the gates are not secured. On the last time, I stopped to use the restroom right inside the gate by the pool. There was blood splatter all over the wall and floor. This is from the drug addict population taking advantage of the unsecured access to the restroom and they are shooting up.

Great place for overnite stay prior to cruise

This hotel is incredible. The service from staffs are fantastic, staff are friendly and well trained. The hotel was overall clean and comfortable, equipped with big rooms to stay in. I stayed in the hotel with my family of six before our cruise, it’s very convenient. The cruise port was near by and many restaurants are around to check out. This hotel is a definitely worth the stay!

While the property is busy with people coming and going until late in the evening, everyone was friendly. The noise stayed on the lobby level. Breakfast is in two rooms in the lobby. Ride share can get in and out easily. Rooms are clean. Hallways were pretty quiet during my stay. Literally across the street from the beach. I stay here each year.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's right across from the beach. The staff was friendly and it's next door to a great pizza place and ice cream. We found that convenient as we were only staying one night before our cruise. We just walked over to pick up dinner. We will be back for a longer trip next time. Also loved that the lobby smelled nice, small detail that I noticed right away.

Room layout was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Location may be the best feature - right on the beach and close to all we wanted to visit on Galveston's Seawall Blvd.

We have stayed at Home2 Suites in other places and were quite disappointed at this location. We requested our room to be cleaned after the second night. When we returned after a day out, after 3PM, the room was not done. We then just asked for clean towels and coffee. The next day, we even made point of stopping at the front desk to request housekeeping but, again, after returning close to 4PM, the room was not done. We gave up at that time. The hotel is also listed as "pet friendly" but don't think that means bringing your old smelly dog into the breakfast area during breakfast hours. It was NOT a service dog. The pets are apparently allowed on every floor not just a dedicated section. The very worst part of this stay is the chaos at breakfast. We understood that on one morning, there were three cruise ships departing and it was spring break time in some parts of Texas. However, the layout for breakfast is what causes the most chaos. The machines to make pancakes/waffles are in the middle of the set causing the entire breakfast line to wait while a pancake or waffle is being made. Those machines should be separate from the rest of the selections. The foods that were offered were lukewarm each morning. We even went over to the Tru side of the hotel but their food was also not hot. Hilton needs to get their act together and get this mess straightened up! A lot of guests were complaining.

Property was good. Breakfast service is very poor for the price we are charged. They fill up only once. When it gets over, they do not fill up any items. Also, breakfast varieties and quality needs to be improved 100%
