Marsh Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here. The coffee shop/bar was great with cozy spots to chill in the common areas. The employees were super friendly and helpful. Parking was free and easy. We would stay here again.

Great Hotel, walls are a little thin, had to bang on the wall to shut the lady up next door. The room and staff were nice. Parking was my only real complaint. They need a parking garage or some kind of designated parking area. You are literally just parking outside of someone’s house on the street in a neighborhood!

Nice quiet hotel with comfortable accommodations. The room was small but well appointed clean and fresh. I was taken back by the victual key and check-in as it was the first I experienced this system. It worked very well. The Bar/coffe shop weren't open and looked like it had been closed for a period of time, no stock visible.

New hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms are nice and very clean.The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked great. No Elevator, but not a big deal. Limited Parking.

This place is beautiful the decor was on point ! The guest service all 5 stars ! And the coffee bar has great coffee. Rooms are quiet and comfortable.

A boutique-y hotel that’s close enough to everything, but far away enough to not have to deal with the commotion. Easy street parking. Lovely personable staff. And a damn good cup of coffee

Check in was a little difficult due to a severe storm. They were very responsive to that. The facility is new. The room was a bit small and I stubbed my toes on the bed frame several times. It was nice having the coffee and regular bar on site. The staff was great.

It was very cute boutique hotel. Very nice decor and inviting lobby/ bar area. The staff are very nice and attentive. Fresh brew coffee in the morning at the bar/ lobby. In a quiet spot not too far from busier St. Charles Ave. parking was easy, next to the hotel.

Sheets were filthy on both beds

This was my second time staying at this property and overall I would have to say I loved it. Joseph provided great customer service. The hotel has a beautiful modern look and feeling. Very intimate type setting. The one thing that absolutely grossed me out was there was a long string of hair on the shower curtain and a string of hair in the sink. I do feel like the bathroom was cleaned in between stays they may have just not cleaned those areas properly. Because the toilet was definitely nice and clean. But overall I have to rate this place a great place to stay.

Yes it was not as clean when we got there night stands was stained hair on floor of the bathroom was given key code for room 101 when we arrived they had changed room to 207 without notification

I liked this property, the area was close to where I needed to be. The room could have been a little cleaner or I should say the bathroom. Other than that the property was really nice and they even have a bar & coffee shop on site.

The hotel offers beautiful lounge areas and the rooms were very clean. It was definitely a smaller hotel than expected. But it was exactly what my family needed for the Holidays.

We had a really nice experience at the hotel. The only downside is that there is no soundproof, and we could hear every noise coming from the hall and upstairs room. Also, the bathroom door is a barn door style and doesn't closed completely so there is no privacy. The staff was friendly and we experienced an excellent service overall.

Only one problem we didn’t have hot water the next morning. Otherwise the hotel is BEAUTIFUL. I enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be back.

I stayed at the Marsh hotel for 4 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was nice and it was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was an easy 4 block walk to the streetcar. Of the highlights of New Orleans, this hotel is closest to the Garden district. It's in a quiet area. The only issues I experienced were hearing the people on one side of me off and on and having temperature issues in the shower, although the water pressure was great. I had less issues when I took a shower in the evening. I would stay there again.

Walls are extremely thin and the rooms are very small. So loud. And bathrooms have barn doors - no privacy. Nice place but I got no sleep over 4 nights.

We enjoyed our stay at Marsh. The checkin process was easy. The complimentary drinks on arrival was a nice touch. The 2 ladies behind the bar were friendly. Parking was always available and near by. Rooms were simple/minimalistic and clean. The only complaint is that the room’s ventilation. The room is small and it felt very humid and muggy. The covers had a damp feeling. It was a little uncomfortable to sleep at night. The bed was comfortable and plush. I’d stay again with hopes that another room isn’t as muggy.

There were no elevators but rooms were small but very clean. Didn’t really like the location but I would def recommend it or stay there again.

Location is prime for this place - there is a lack of hotels uptown and this is perfect. It's clearly new and modern, recently renovated. BRING EARPLUGS. There is minimal soundproofing between rooms and you will hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do. If you can, ask to stay in the 2nd or 3rd floor and that might help the noise. The coffee shop/ bar is nice and a perfect place to hang out for a while.

Driving to the hotel, the neighborhood looked a little iffy, but after two nights stay, we realized it was safe and quiet. We actually walked to St Charles street to watch the Mardi Gras parade. The hotel was extremely clean and bright. The only drawback was the way we gained access into the hotel and into our room. We loaded an app onto our phone which was supposed to open the outside door and our room door. Sometimes it would work after a few tries and the other times it would not work even we did a hand stand while spinning three strands of Mardi Gras beads on our big toe. They did provide us a card that faultlessly opened the door every time when I told them about the trouble. Very nice people.

Arrived after hours and the key process didn't work. The guy who came and helped was amazing and we got to our room once he arrived on property

Part of it is covered so if it's raining you can still be outside. The decor/furniture is beautiful and well thought out. They have a little coffee bar/regular bar on premise. Hours are limited on the weekend but it was very nice to grab a beer and play chess outside. Some things to keep in mind: While the staff is very responsive, they are not onsite 24x7. This is a small place so not surprising. Some prior reviewers mentioned the area isn't safe. That's not really fair. New Orleans is a major city. You are in the city. You should lock your car and be aware of your surroundings. That's all. No big deal. We had some issues with the electronic key card (it appears only one person can use it/when we got a second one for my husband mine stopped working). I think they are still working out the kinks. You can get regularly key cards so really not a big deal. If you are sensitive to light at night, bring an eye mask. Between the light on the a/c, the 'gap' under the main door and the farmhouse style bathroom door, I had a lot of trouble sleeping the first night.

The Marsh Hotel is a great place to stay. We give it 5 stars and hope to stay there again. The rooms are tight for two people, but it works! Please note though that the staff leaves after 11pm. Make sure you have everything you need for your stay (i.e. provided toiletries and towels) before that deadline.

The hotel itself was looks really nice and modernized. However, there’s only one set of stairs in/out.The building isn’t leveled so we had to place our suitcase on the bathroom door to stop it from sliding open.There is also a gap at the bottom of the door so you can hear everything coming from the hallway. The hotel has one person doing several different jobs from making alcoholic drinks, coffee, checking guest in and taking care of any others problems that my arise so there’s quite a wait just to be helped. The gentleman who checked us in (afternoon) was very nice and friendly however, the lady who worked the bar area in the morning shift acted as if we were a bother to her.

The staff were so nice and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood. The room was comfortable. There is easy access to the Garden District and it’s a quick ride to other popular neighborhoods. I would definitely stay here again.

The Marsh suited my needs perfectly as a solo traveler, it was quiet and accessible, great communication as needed, and friendly onsite staff. It's a simple and clean place with cute decor, and nice patio to hang out if desired. Close to the St. Charles streetcar and a lovely cafe nearby as well. I will definitely stay here again!

Area near and around the property is super sketchy. We paid a lot of money for the room and it wasn’t worth it.

It’s a nice little hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the streetcar that takes you to thr city, which we liked.

This hotel is not a safe area. We didn’t feel comfortable spending a night there and switched hotels. The hotel refused to issue us a refund for the second night of our stay.

The marsh in is perfect for your days in NOLA there is a ton of restaurants that are walking distance surrounded by a quaint neighborhood. The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and full of charm. If you need to work while you’re there the court yard is perfect for reading, working, or sitting outside and sipping cocktails from the bar! Would highly recommend
