The staff at this property are amazing! They definitely go out of their way to make you happy. The pool bartender and server at dinner, named Israel, is so friendly and welcoming. Aside from the staff, the rooms are comfortable, the views are amazing, great food options, and the spa was spectacular. Our only complaint is that the largest pool that has a pool bar is kept to a very hot temperature- we have not seen anyone want to be in it more than a few minutes. Meanwhile, the one cooler pool is half the size and looked a little dirty by the end of the day. Everything else is so wonderful that we would still plan to stay here again!

The staff were incredibly friendly. Right away they offered drinks while we checked in. We were able to use the pool and gym while we waited for our room to be ready. Very clean stay and open spaces. Breakfast had many options and changed depending on the day. Loved the variety of pools and jacuzzis for privacy or bigger groups.

Great breakfast and lovely staff. Hotel felt very dated, especially for the price. Room was large and had a lot of noise through the door and the sound of chairs scraping in other rooms came through the walls and ceiling at all hours, particularly in the day when others were moving around. The pools were heated through a thermal spring which was a novelty but overall felt very shabby - tiles had fallen off areas which left sharp corners and a poor look, the concrete floor had worn away in areas which made the floor very uncomfortable under bare feet. Overall not what I would expect for the money.

This stay was great but short. Everything from the bedding to the lobby to the restaurant was perfect. Only thing that they need to improve is fixing the Jets in the Jacuzzi because the pumps evidently are not working. And if they can make the sauna or steam area hotter would be great .other than that Pura Vida fantastic. Also the best shower ever . Staff very friendly and go out of there way to make your stay memorable

This place was incredible! The resort itself is stunning! The thermal hot springs were relaxing and super clean. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The views from the balcony overlooking the main pool and a straight shot view of the volcano were out of this world. But the real stars of the show are the staff. I’ve traveled all over the world and the amount of attention the staff gave us was above and beyond. From the doorman, to the incredible front desk staff. The pool bar tenders, breakfast and dinner servers. I cannot rave about them enough. It was my wife’s birthday and they surprised her with multiple birthday celebrations unexpectedly. From decor in the room, to birthday cupcakes at breakfast, to birthday decor at dinner. The staff were just amazing! We reserved some of the best massages and body wraps ever. I highly recommend the spa treatments. This place was just an all around amazing resort experience. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel extremely special! Until next time. Pure vida.

Excellent hotel. The thermal pool was amazing! Restaurants on property had great options for both the vegetarians and non-veg family members. We loved the spa and the amenities (sauna, jacuzzis, cold water plunge, and more! The staff were super friendly and courteous. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds.

The hotel is right on the main road so it’s quite noisy but when the door is closed it’s a minimal sound. For the cost of this place which was over $500 we didnt see the value at all! Place is older but very clean. But the pool was just okay but the swim up bar is nice. Some of the thermal pools the jets weren’t working and are in fair condition. The 5th dining area is lovely but quite expensive but we found this overall is CR: it’s very expensive. The staff are lovely. The room smelled like urine and they had a rug which I felt the smell was coming from..I feel in a tropical place you don’t need a rug!

Beautiful hotel, staff super friendly and helpful, Valentina from receptiion and Justin made our stay even more confortable, very personalized, thinking in us like we were fakily member, they both made us feel this way. Will come back again. The only negative thing i will say is that bathroom needs to be clean better, there is mold between tiles. And one of the jaccuzi was not to clean either.

Overall I agree with other reviews, even the negative ones. We stayed during the low season, so I don’t know what it’s like when the occupancy is 50% and more. We loved how private it felt, and staff were very accommodating and put a lot of care to make us feel very special. Top 3 highlights are amazing view of volcano, staff and thermal pool/swim up bar & jacuzzi. Negatives are like others said, there’s a very busy road just beyond the property, so if you wake up early and hang out on the balcony, all you hear is a traffic noise from there unfortunately. But the volcano view is amazing, so I guess you just have to tune it out. Robes and pool towels need some updating - robe was very worn out and fraying at many parts. Pool towels aren’t as comfy as room towels, which is somewhat expected, but they can definitely improve on making them smell better. Also, maybe because it is low season, I was woken up by cranking noise one morning, most likely doing some renovations in other rooms. I understand it’s the perfect time to do it, but maybe not at 6am. I loved how the jacuzzi areas were set up, but only 1 out of 4 was warm enough for me to sit in - maybe because not enough guests were there to keep all 4 nice and hot, but I wish they let us know about it. You might think I have lots to complain about, but I think they are more about being there in low season. I would still give them 4-5 stars for their excellent services - they went above and beyond, and I would love to go back.

I would highly recommend staying at this resort. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, welcoming and helpful. The resort is clean and inviting. The pools, hot tubs and sauna were all so relaxing and well kept. Our bed was super comfy and the rooms were spotless. The food was delicious and the swim up bar was well staffed.. both Jordon and Wilbur made our week with excellent conversation and service. All the staff did what they could to make our visit one to remember.

Our family of four (including two older teens) very much enjoyed our stay. The pools are the highlight - we spent hours there every day, enjoying freshly made cocktails (pina coladas here are amazing with the fresh local pineapple). We slept well in the comfortable beds and quiet rooms. We had no problems getting Ubers for a short ride into town to enjoy the many tasty restaurants in La Fortuna. This is our second time at this hotel and we highly recommend it!

Nice place - excellent staff. Be careful with the rooms - ours was smaller than expected, and the 2 queen beds we expected (I called ahead to make sure they were queens) turned out to be Full beds, small for two adults, especially on vacation. Otherwise, food was excellent. Staff was great

There aren't enough kind things that I can say about The Royal Corning. Every person on staff was beyond kind and accommodating. The property is incredibly beautiful to top it off. Justin was always there to be a help even if it was to open the elevator. Johnathan after even day 1 always made sure I had my cappuccino with my breakfast. Hands down, one of the best places we have ever stayed! Upon arrival, we were greeted by name with a refreshing n/a drink and two cool towels that were scented with aromatherapy oil. They sat us down on a comfy couch so we didn’t need to go to the front desk. They explained everything to us in detail and had our luggage transported to our room. Every day when we walked past the front desk and around the resort, we were greeted with a hello, a smile and a wave. We quickly made friends with Jeslynn at the front desk and others around the resort. At breakfast, they remembered our names and immediately sat us in our favorite spot outside. Jeslynn was our favorite. She always made us laugh with her witty personality and always had a daily lesson to teach us a new phrase or word in Spanish when we interacted with her. On our first night, they treated us to chocolate covered strawberries and a thank you note for our stay. Then on Thursday, around 8pm, we received a knock on the door with another treat that thanked us for choosing them for our extended stay. All of the food was delicious and the free breakfast buffet was plentiful. Interesting fact: the hotel empties the pools every night at 10 pm when they close. Then they refill the pools by pumping the water in from the hot springs of the Arenal Volcano.

Hotel and staff were excellent. We had to ask management to quiet down a group of drunks who took their own speakers to pool and spent 3 hours screaming like animals. The second we asked, the hotel did everything right and addressed the situation in a classy and professional way. It was well handled. Not hotel’s fault— shame on the people.

The hotel staff were excellent and made every effort to ensure our stay was the best it could be. The concierge team and front desk staff (Milena, Jacqueline,, Val, Brian) were so helpful in advance of our arrival with excursion bookings and transportation, and answering our many questions. Upon arrival all of the lobby staff were helpful and continue to offer suggestions and additional assistance . We enjoyed the pools area and swim up bar service. It was close to town for additional dining, and a short drive to most excursions. I highly recommend Royal Corin!

We had an enjoyable stay at the Royal Corrin. The facilities are excellent with a range of pools and jacuzzzi’s of differing temperatures, as well as a swim up bar. The staff were fantastic with a lot of attention detail and a feeling of a personalised service. The location, outside of La Fortuna, means it is quiet but within easy reach of the tours and excursions.

Positive: View of Arenal Volcano from every room. Hot spring pools of varying temperatures. Wonderful staff. Central Location to town and nature excursions but also felt remote/exotic. Negative: Meals/drinks on site were resort pricing but its close enough to town that you have options. Overall: One of my favorite resorts and I wish I was going back soon.

Beautiful hotel, 20 minutes from Fortuna airport. While the hotel is lovely and has a good location, it definitely needs a few comments. First off, the noise from the street at night is very very loud as well as noise from adjoining rooms. The traffic noise was difficult if you’re a light sleeper. Other minor tweaks include improving vegetarian selections at restaurants, better access to towels in the pool area, and pool is in need of some updates. Pool area looks and feels tired and dated. Not as nice as in photos. Many hotels in Costa Rica are very expensive, this one seemed very high priced for some aspects. Being allowed only one pool towel at a time, and being held responsible with a ticket for it doesn’t seem appropriate for this level of a hotel. Staff was amazing. Service was excellent throughout. Never felt crowded. Food was good but not outstanding.

absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely go back. It was very clean. The hot springs were my favorite part!! The hotel breakfast was so good! And we even ate lunch/dinner there most of our stay and it was also a 10/10. I highly recommend staying here! It’s also very close to many activities
