We enjoyed our overnight stay in Geelong at the Belmercer Hotel. The staff were lovely and accomodating. Our room was lovely and warm upon arrival. Fresh towels and linen all round. The facilites were well layed out. Parking was a breeze. A short 15 min walk down to the waterfront and beach makes this Motel perfectly situatied for dining and entertainment. Would definitely stay again. Geelong and the Belmercer have a lot to offer. Given we were bringing an unregistered car back to Tassie with us and everything was organised last minute, the Staff at Belmercer were very supportive upon arrival and very informative. Would not choose anywhere else to stay. Fantastic guys!

Was happy with the room and staff. Was worried about height into carpark with vehicle carrying camping gear.on the roof, but it wasnt a problem at all. Also thought it may have been noisy with trains at the rear of the property and dual lane road out front, but was pleasantly surprised.

Property was close to the spirit for our departure next morning. It was a clean and spacious room. Shower was great. Bed was uncomfortable and the lift only worked going up to our room had to take the stairs down. Was only one floor but for elderly people a hassle. Good value for money.

Easy check in, room is as it is advertised. Bed uncomfortable (though is a normal hotel bed) Easy walk to restaurants No additional facilities such as pool, bbq area- again it is as advertised. Overall for a one night stay the hotel is as you read and book. Nothing spectacular but is a clean, nice rooms, with friendly staff.

Door would not lock properly, there were loud people at 12 am outside our room. microwave had food leftover on door. dining table in a old condition does not look good. carpet looks worn out. staff were very nice and welcoming. loved the parking. close to the beach. place outside the room clean enough. i think it should be a bit less price wise.

We stayed for 2 nights. On arrival the carpet hadnt been vaccumed from the previous visitors there was even toenail clippings on the floor. Carpet wasnt vaccumed on the second day either. Had to ask reception for toilet paper.

If you just want somewhere to sleep for one night the bed is comfy and unit reasonably clean (apart from a big clump of hair in shower drain). No cold water in fridge and no jug/container to put water in. No face washers, no pool. One biscuit portion between 2 people. Value for money extremely poor. Friendly receptionist, good location close to esplanade/restaurants etc.

It was a great place, close to the beach/city, room was awesome. Reception lady was lovely, We just struggled to sleep from noise. The road out front never stopped. Being a saturday night probably didnt help. And we had a street facing room. Prehaps the rooms at the back were quiter.

The Belmercer is rated 4 star on hotels.com, but is 2 star at best. The rooms are dated, the bed is comfy, but other furniture is old and not suitable, such as the desk chair which is wooden chair. The carpet is marked, tiles chipped in the bathroom and for an average establishment, there should be a second lock on the door for security in the room. No food on site, and no cafe next door for breakfast. Not suitable for work, and difficult to access with the median strip on the road meaning the driveway can only be accessed from that side of the road. Disappointed that the info provided was misleading for this booking.

Friendly staff on arrival. Room clean. Could have small bedside lamps instead of downlights above bed. Had trouble connecting wifi even after obtaining new passwords just kept dropping out. Good location within walking distance to shops and waterfront. Bit noisy near rail and highway.

Safe environment, but other guests easily heard from car park below . Internet didn’t work for password provided . Reported to staff mid afternoon but heard nothing back for duration of stay. While the staff were extremely welcoming, the motel backs onto the rail line which is very noisy at peak times. While it is a close walk to the bay, it is quite a walk from the major shopping centre and shops. Taking transport would be better. The rooms are in need of upgrading, bathroom was newly renovated but there was no hair conditioner or face cloth.

Staff were LOVELY. Not many clients but I was put at the front room facing busy road - opposite a motorbike shop that needs all its security lights on all night - venetian curtains that dont join and let lots of light in - loud. Plus 100 bins under my window for the bin truck to collect at 5am. NO SLEEP - on a business trip when I need sleep this was just not good.

We were unable to get early check in even though the motel was empty and all rooms cleaned. Reception not manned, when there was someone there they were mot friendly at all. Bathrooms not very clean.

Stayed for two-nights for a business trip (two rooms booked) - Arrived at 2PM neither room was ready. Was told to come back after 3PM. - Both of the rooms were not serviced (bed not made, rubbish not removed, coffee/tea not re-filled). - Location adjacent to the rail and highway at the back of the property, resulted in a constant "thumping" noise. Understand that it can't be avoided, but definitely not good if you are a light sleeper. Talked to the owner on the morning and she did apologize for the rooms not being ready or serviced.

Just an overnight stay. Rooms clean, tidy and a comfortable bed. Very friendly staff with a quick and hassle free check-in. Central location and close to the tr ain station.

The Belmercer is rated 4 star on hotels.com, but is 2 star at best. The rooms are dated, the bed is comfy, but other furniture is old and not suitable, such as the desk chair which is wooden chair. The carpet is marked, tiles chipped in the bathroom and for an average establishment, there should be a second lock on the door for security in the room. No food on site, and no cafe next door for breakfast. Not suitable for work, and difficult to access with the median strip on the road meaning the driveway can only be accessed from that side of the road. Disappointed that the info provided was misleading for this booking.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in Geelong at the Belmercer Hotel. The staff were lovely and accomodating. Our room was lovely and warm upon arrival. Fresh towels and linen all round. The facilites were well layed out. Parking was a breeze. A short 15 min walk down to the waterfront and beach makes this Motel perfectly situatied for dining and entertainment. Would definitely stay again. Geelong and the Belmercer have a lot to offer. Given we were bringing an unregistered car back to Tassie with us and everything was organised last minute, the Staff at Belmercer were very supportive upon arrival and very informative. Would not choose anywhere else to stay. Fantastic guys!

Great Stay at Belmercer Motel! My disabled room, was very functional, had lots of room to move around the bedroom and Bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. I love that the location of the motel had a burger cafe next door and is very close to Westfield & sporting events. I definitely will be back to stay here again when I am back in Geelong.

Close to city and waterfront. Easy parking. A short walk to the Sir Charles Hotham Hotel where we found a beautiful meal and very friendly service.

If you just want somewhere to sleep for one night the bed is comfy and unit reasonably clean (apart from a big clump of hair in shower drain). No cold water in fridge and no jug/container to put water in. No face washers, no pool. One biscuit portion between 2 people. Value for money extremely poor. Friendly receptionist, good location close to esplanade/restaurants etc.

Safe environment, but other guests easily heard from car park below . Internet didn’t work for password provided . Reported to staff mid afternoon but heard nothing back for duration of stay. Bathroom very generous size and clean . Room on the smaller side. Basic supplies provided which is fine but little pack of biscuits a bit stale . Fridge and microwave needs a good cleaning. Otherwise a good stay with food places nearby for meals . Bed very comfortable.

Easy check in, room is as it is advertised. Bed uncomfortable (though is a normal hotel bed) Easy walk to restaurants No additional facilities such as pool, bbq area- again it is as advertised. Overall for a one night stay the hotel is as you read and book. Nothing spectacular but is a clean, nice rooms, with friendly staff.

Husband and I stayed at motel for two nights. Close to city centre & beachfront. Easy walk into shopping centre. Microwave, kettle, toaster very clean. All amenities needed for stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I forgot to ask the person’s name at desk but he is such a generous and humble person to talk with. The room I was assigned was slightly smaller and it was changed on my request. Very clean well maintained rooms and super helpful staff. Don’t be discouraged by reviews on google map. Waterfront is just across the street and easy walk to cbd

Proximity to Corio Bay for walking & relaxing park views + we could see the bay from our balcony spa unit :-) Lift gave excellent access to upstairs unit and quite bedroom with firm mattress (preferred). Great shower and handy microwave for warming breakie (BYO). Modern amenities and excellent value for money.
