Rooms were terribly noisy and struggled to get to sleep due to noise from other people’s tvs and water running through pipes. First table we sat at for dinner had ants running all over it so we had to move. Staff were fantastic however, and very helpful. They couldn’t do enough for us - we were checking out very early and they offered to pull a breakfast together for us. They also said we could keep car in car park until our return which extended beyond our check out time

Good size carpark, just make sure you put in the number plate in th terminal at the bar Check in at the bar all information given and shown where the room was In a different building at the back of the pub Up a flight of stairs. Room is a good size as was the shower room Bed super comfortable Wifi excellent Shower good Breakfast not included but could add on if wanted in the morning Location is in a small village lots of nice walks close by Evening meal was excellent good choices and great value would definitely stay again if in the area.

Clean room, large TV, large bed and decent shower

Room was poor. No bedside lights had to get out of bed and find main lights to switch on Radiator in bathroom would not go off so extremely hot to touch- dangerous Bedding was clean but bedroom and bathroom needed a good clean

the staff were really nice, friendly efficient. everywhere was nice and clean and spacious. Food was excellent, evening meal and breakfast. it was nice and quiet at night. The bed was comfy, very large. The only let down was the bathroom. The shower head would not stay in it's holder, so couldn't have a decent shower, and the floor was very wrong. We think it had been recently laid, but the underneath of the flooring was soft and squishy. There was also a lot of black mould around the tiles, and loads of spider's on the walls. We stayed there because we had an appointment at Harefield hosp early in the morning. The website stated 5 miles away, but it was actually 9 plus miles.

Our adventure began with a charming surprise — a room seemingly modelled after a Victorian greenhouse, complete with an impressive mould collection. Not wanting to disturb the delicate ecosystem thriving on the walls, we asked to be moved. Our upgrade? A room guarded by a fully operational wasps’ nest. Yes, nothing quite says “Welcome!” like battling airborne stingers before even reaching the door. Once safely inside, we were greeted by walls covered in mysterious stains that looked like they’d been part of a forensic investigation. The bathroom was a particular highlight. The shower preferred to store water rather than drain it — perhaps it was saving up for a rainy day — and the toilet bore marks that suggested it had long since given up on life. The floor? Let’s just say a hoover hasn’t crossed its path in this century. On the bright side, if you enjoy nature, adventure, and testing your immune system, this place offers it all in one thrilling package. In summary: A perfect stay for anyone who enjoys mouldy décor, insect warfare, and plumbing that defies physics. For everyone else — I recommend a tent.

Check in was great. Staff friendly and helpful. My first room smelt musty, was dated and there was a leak from the toilet. My room was changed really quickly. Sadly, the second room was worse. Musty again, a huge stain on the carpet, covered by a bath mat, bathroom sealant was mouldy. It wasnt dirty but it felt it. Ths bed linen was clean. I didnt stay my second night. I'd say the rooms desperately need a refurb. I wont be staying again.

The pub/hotel was good apart from the state of rooms 3 an 4 the towel rail in room 4 was hanging off the room was full of dust and cobwebs everywhere and not seen a vacuum seen god knows when same in room 3.at £80 a night plus breakfast included it would have been a good stay but these rooms need a proper good make over especially the bathroom, the food in hotel was very nice but again very over priced for a pub in these tough times ps all the staff were very nice and helpful

The room was cool and the bed comfortable. Nice towels It’s more basic than a Travel Lodge, loud plumbing, slightly loose light fittings, no reading light switch separate to the over head light. Paper thin walls. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and ambience warm.

Very tired “Superior Room”. Needs a major refurbish. Nice size room and bathroom, just worn out and dated. No nets on windows so no privacy from people sat in the pub garden.

The room I had was fine but you had to be very careful about not banging your head on the gable roof in the shower area.

The room was clean and ok for our two night stay, th only issue was the low leaning wall in the bathroom you had to be aware off

It was OK. The rooms were a little tired but very clean. The lights in the bedroom were not independent so I had to walk to the door if I wanted to switch my bedside light off. It was a very high step into the shower which had a fairly slippy floor. The staff in the pub were lovely and very helpful. A bit expensive for what is was (including the food)

This pub hotel is lovely but we had an upstairs room in the chalet block. Sloping roofs in bathroom and bedroom. Hot my head a couple of times - next time we will request ground floor or cottage rooms.

My stay there is always good with nice friendly staff.

We have happily stayed here before but this time our visit was to attend a funeral. Yin and her team could not have been more helpful or caring (special mention to Jamie and Brian) and also provided delicious food for the wake. Only one thing to improve - whilst cleanliness is first class it is let down in the bathrooms by the state of the grout around the bath which looks mouldy. Even if it isn't it needs replacing.

My spouse and I had a rather unique experience here. Our international flight got delayed, but we made it to The White Hart with 3 hours of our reservation left. The front desk was very accommodating (albeit surprised when we showed go and still wanted our room). We were able to nap for 2 hours, shower, and enjoy a delightfully delicious breakfast, which they cooked for us outside of the normal breakfast hours. Our only reason for staying in Chalfont St Giles was to visit Milton’s Cottage. The White Hart was within walking distance.

Room sink had no plug. Window catch very loose otherwise all good staff friendly & helpful

Just stayed for one night, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, perfect for what we required. The staff were professional, attentive and friendly. The breakfasts we had in the morning were excellent and at £7.99 each fantastic value for money. I would recommend the Eggs Royale for a change from the Full English! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the area. Also the Guinness was beautiful, always a winner with me!
