Didnt use the Sppa but o/s pool excellent. Dont agree with dogs in eating areas. Never had to pay for parking at an hotel before! Staff all exceellent.

Beautiful, stylish hotel with fantastic amenities. The sea view rooms really are the best. Parking is valet and costs £27 per night on top of rooms charges. The spa is very high quality. Indoor pool and sauna was excellent. The outdoor pool was a real treat for a winter swim - it’s heated to around 28 degrees. The hotel is located around 10 mins walk out of town, but the beach is a short, downhill walk. Be sure to check out the cocktails at the Ocean Drive bar, but watch out for the £3.50 service charge when getting one drink.

This is a really stylish hotel with beautiful outdoor pool area, good gym, cinema if the weather forces you indoors and friendly staff. At times form appeared to triumph over function (the gap between the tap and sink is so small you can barely fill up a glass let alone kettle) but the rooms feel light and beds spacious.

Nice hotel, excellent service, relatively new . One of the best looking places in Bournemouth. Good location , close to beach. Indoor pool wasn’t great, could be more inline with other 5 star hotels and have more space as very tight with only 8 or so seating. Food could be better, pitched as a 5 star hotel but I don’t think it is hence the reduced score given the expectation versus reality.

Pros: the place is very clean, bed was comfy, staff were friendly. Mid: food wasn't great, facilities were a little dated, room was a tad basic, drink selection wasn't great. The air dryers in the loos were almost unusable. Poor: the spa Jacuzzi was broken, the sauna didn't work one day, there were kids in the spa Sunday morning before time. Also for some reason the distance between the tap and the sink in the bathroom was too low and it shouldn't be that much of a bother but it annoyed me every time. Not the 5 star experience I was expecting.

Clean room, with coffee and tea facilities in the room! Spa was clean, modern and great outdoor pool! Would definitely book again! Nice view of the seaside and close to the centre of Bournemouth. Only downside was the parking, as limited spaces best to get there early to get a spot.

It was a great stay. Shame about the spiders , it was a lot! Couldn’t really use the jacuzzi due to all the insects. With these prices, we expected everything to be perfect. Even when we asked for it to be cleaned, it wasn’t that clean. The whole external area in the garden suite needs proper cleaning. Other than that, all was good.

I booked an annexe room and upon arrival was escorted through out of the main hotel, through the car park to the room. I expressed my discomfort at staying here alone as I didn’t feel safe. As the hotel was fully booked I couldn’t move room. I was really disappointed by this as there were still a room available on the website at the time. I didn’t sleep well as the entrance was onto the car park. The room itself was very clean and had a comfortable king bed. I found the staff friendly but the food was very average and overpriced. The pool area was busy as the weather was lovely during my visit, beds were reserved by 9:30 each morning. Overall, when comparing the room price, which didn’t even include breakfast, I don’t think I would visit again. Had the location of the annexe been accurately described I wouldn’t have booked such room and maybe had a better experience

The property is stunning and improved on last year with the addition of a new pool and redesigned gardens. But... the service during this second visit was so incredibly patchy - great from some staff, terrible from others. The thing that got us most was how dirty the terrace was. At breakfast (well I say breakfast - we never managed to get any service apart from bar drinks - no cutlery, nothing) we sat in the sun feeling utterly depressed by the tables of left breakfasts just left to fester; the glassware piled high in the bar from the night before right next to the breakfast cereal counter), and the - frankly - filthy condition of the floor and some furniture. During the Sunday lunch service, food from departed tables was just piled high in the corner, left to sweat (and smell) for hours. The property is stunningly designed but in grave danger of going downhill owing to the last of service and diligence of some staff. I really want this place to do well. There aren't many options or hotels with this sort of ambition at UK beach resorts. It wasn't cheap (£1.5k for two nights in a garden suite, plus a £950 f&b bill) and we left feeling rather short changed - we wouldn't have if the service was top notch as the design and architecture.

Very nice hotel, needs looking after more to continue the wonderful decor and ambience. Our room was nice, few concerns with unwashed glassed left in our room, tv wasn't working but was fixed once we raised it. Bed throw was dirty. But otherwise, comfortable nights sleep. Good bed and cosey room. Close to the beach. Lovely pool area outside. Spa is decent for hotel stay too.

Nice hotel room 118 noisy and avoid at all cost some generation outside your window and rattling all night long plus people downstairs in the bar are very loud so no sleep possible a specially with baby .

Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. The only issue was that our room was next to the lift which woke us up during the night a couple of times each night.. Spa was excellent as was the Old Harry Rock restaurant.

How disappointing. Great pics on the website but a real let down. Our family room faced a building site who started work at 7:30am on a Sunday.. and our room was so dark with a view of a brick wall. Spa not open despite saying on the website that it is.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, with a modern-kitsch feel. Very cool! However as it’s an old building that’s been gutted and redesigned, there are quite severe noise problems. You will hear your upstairs neighbours every footstep through the ceiling, and the room doors are not sound proofed. The doors are also not on slow hinges at the top, so doors slam which you will hear whether it’s your neighbour next door or down the corridor. This was reported to the front desk who told me there is ‘nothing they can do’. There is one lift for the whole hotel which is also very old and tiny, you can get a maximum of two people in it! Aside from that is a beautiful hotel, food is good, bar is a great vibe and the staff are friendly.

We had a lovely staycation at The Nici. The stay surpassed our expectations. Check in was easy, we were given the most beautiful room facing the sea and pool area. It had a lovely comfy new bed, sitting area and well appointed bathroom with bathtub and shower. We were totally blown away by the facilities, the beautifully decorated inside spaces and the dreamy spa with large heated outdoor pool were top notch. The location of the hotel is great, a short walk from the beach and pier area making it a good place to explore the area by foot. The only negative we could find is the extortionate cost of parking, and we honestly felt this could have been at very least reduced for people staying in the hotel. Fortunately we got lucky and found some on street parking for our stay. We also felt that it was a shame that breakfast wasn’t included in the stay for a hotel of this kind of price point/quality as it was expensive to add on. The hotel is new and there is still some building work going on. This didn’t detract too much from the stay but I’d be excited to return once it was fully finished.

Lovely hotel, very well renovated, beautiful old building. Great facilities, indoors and out. We were luckily upgraded and had an amazing room. Unfortunately, building work started at 745am with builders in rolling carpet protector which wakened the full floor...not what you want to be wakened with on a weekend away. Only reason for not giving 5 stars.

We've had the pleasure of staying at this hotel before. The location is ideal, and overall, it's a lovely establishment. However, our recent stay was somewhat marred by inconsistent staff attitudes. While some members were really lovely, others seemed disinterested and conveyed their reluctance, creating an awkward atmosphere for guests. While our first visit featured a fantastic breakfast, this time around, it was a bit more on the average side. The hotel possesses all the elements one would expect from a 5-star experience, but there's a sense that it falls just short of fully embodying that luxurious standard.

Fabulous stay. The hotel is gorgeous, with lovely views of the Pool and sea beyond. The staff are super friendly and ready to help. Super comfy beds too. We enjoyed the food, drinks, spa and the people watching!

This is our third stay here. We do love it but I still think there are things that could be improved. For the price, nothing should be too much trouble. We stayed in 2 x garden suites with 4 adults and 2 children. Rooms were lovely, although there was a broken leg on one chest of drawers which could be a hazard. Lovely bathrooms, plenty of towels and robes and the free rum is a nice touch. Things that let us down a little was the service around the pool - if they could offer drinks service or even QR codes for self ordering that would make it better. The service at old Harry rocks bar during the day is very slow. We also phoned reception a few times for little things, that either weren’t delivered or we just simply couldn’t get hold of anyone. Generally staff are friendly and accommodating. Spa area is lovely and not too busy - however every time I have been there is always people speaking on their phones, which ruins the relaxing experience. Perhaps there could be signs up about this?

Beautiful hotel. We had the standard room and it was great. My only feedback is around reception and room service. Reception staff very friendly BUT don’t seem to be able to cope with anything other than booking people in and out. I asked for shower mat on first day as the shower is slippy when soap and water on the floor and it is a massive shower, nothing came to the room and no one called. I had to use the towel mat in there so didn’t slip. Twice at breakfast we were asked if we would like our room serviced while we ate which said yes. 3:30 one day finally got serviced but next day no service. Called reception left message no one returned call. On way out that evening had to ask for it to be done which when we got back it was but things like no milk so could not have drink next morning. On checkout asked for car to be brought round this was not requested had to ask the valet gentleman myself who apologised on receptions behalf. There was only me checking out so they were not busy. They took my money quick enough. Reception did not give you the feeling of being in a 5 star hotel

Very cool and stylishly decorated hotel; everything was of a high standard. We were met and greeted at the entrance of the hotel when we pulled up in our car and was valeted away and welcomed by friendly and cheerful reception staff. The room was very tastefully decorated. The rain and hand showers were powerful and exhilarating to use. Towels and robes were weighty, from being so thick and fluffy and the bathroom was equipped by the quality New York range of bathroom toiletries by Malin & Goetz, which smelt great, leaving you feeling refreshed. The bed was very comfortable, felt like sleeping on a cloud. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the inviting pool or loungers, gutted (defo next time). The breakfast was very tasty, we only had the continental, there was your usual fare but very fresh and of a very high standard; smoked salmon, pastrami, cheeses and breads and a nice range of pastries, fruit and juices. There were further cooked breakfast choices, which all looked great. The service was very good most of the time, polite and efficient, however found some drink delivery a little slow at times (both coffees in the morning and some cocktails in the evening) however don't let this little comment put you off. The decor throughout the hotel is amazing, so many possible Instagram opportunities, got the Miami style hotel down to a T! You could easily visit this hotel for a weekend and not leave its grounds, I would highly recommend a stay in this well thought out hotel.

So we were very much looking forward to our stay here. Ideally the weather would have been a tad nicer to make the most of the outdoor facilities but there is a lot to do here regardless. The hotel decor is amazing, the restaurant and terrace is really impressive, pool and spa all fab. We had a cosy double room and although the smallest room it was comfortable and the bed was huge which is the most important things. Unfortunately, I do agree with a lot of other reviews that this hotel simply cannot achieve 5 star ratings with it’s current level of service. All staff were friendly enough we just felt the service was a little lacklustre. For example, bar one occasion every time we ordered drinks it took 30 minutes from sitting down to having a drink in our hands. Breakfast service was prompt so no complaints about that. Also, when we arrived our room was nearly 2 hours late being ready. This simply isn’t good enough for this quality of hotel. They did compensate by giving us some free drinks and complimentary breakfast which was really nice. I just feel some improvement on the service is needed then this would be an amazing hotel. Having to pay for the parking seems a little off when everything else is included in the price.

Beautiful, stylish hotel with fantastic amenities. The sea view rooms really are the best. Parking is valet and costs £27 per night on top of rooms charges. The spa is very high quality. Indoor pool and sauna was excellent. The outdoor pool was a real treat for a winter swim - it’s heated to around 28 degrees. The hotel is located around 10 mins walk out of town, but the beach is a short, downhill walk. Be sure to check out the cocktails at the Ocean Drive bar, but watch out for the £3.50 service charge when getting one drink.

We had a brilliant weekend stay at The Nici. this really is a first class hotel. The rooms are a good size, beds huge and comfy, staff very efficient and friendly. Great location for the BIC and town centre. the outdoor pool is luxurious and warm. The new restaurant is fun and lively on a Saturday night. No complaints at all. Well worth the money and will be returning.

We had a lovely staycation at The Nici. The stay surpassed our expectations. Check in was easy, we were given the most beautiful room facing the sea and pool area. It had a lovely comfy new bed, sitting area and well appointed bathroom with bathtub and shower. We were totally blown away by the facilities, the beautifully decorated inside spaces and the dreamy spa with large heated outdoor pool were top notch. The location of the hotel is great, a short walk from the beach and pier area making it a good place to explore the area by foot. The only negative we could find is the extortionate cost of parking, and we honestly felt this could have been at very least reduced for people staying in the hotel. Fortunately we got lucky and found some on street parking for our stay. We also felt that it was a shame that breakfast wasn’t included in the stay for a hotel of this kind of price point/quality as it was expensive to add on. The hotel is new and there is still some building work going on. This didn’t detract too much from the stay but I’d be excited to return once it was fully finished.

Clean room, with coffee and tea facilities in the room! Spa was clean, modern and great outdoor pool! Would definitely book again! Nice view of the seaside and close to the centre of Bournemouth. Only downside was the parking, as limited spaces best to get there early to get a spot.

My husband and I went to the Nici for 4 days. Everything was lovely about the hotel the staff, the service, the amenities and the location. Will definitely be back to visit again. We had a suite on the first floor which overlooked the pool and sea and was a really good size. The only thing I wasn’t pleased with was the breakfast for £26. It was a bit chaotic in there and the quality wasn’t good for the price. There were no gluten-free options that I saw. Most of it looked like it was just off the supermarket shelf and when I had avocado on toast, it was the pre-mixed one not a cut up fresh avocado. I think this is the only only thing that let the hotel down and should be changed. Could also do with some hands on management.

A 5 star stay at a 4 star property. I cannot say enough about the quality of service and the ambience of the Nici Hotel. From the valet parking, check in and restaurant staff, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Nothing was too much and everyone was professional. The property itself is stunning (especially the pool and dining areas) and our room was the perfect size (get one facing the sea, so worth it). Highly recommend the afternoon tea and continental breakfast (all fresh and delicious). Highly recommended to visitors to Bournemouth and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic, wonderful place and an amazing NYE. Staff went beyond and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend. One comment, even if you order a bowl of olives in the bar it all comes with a service charge. A small surprise when you’ve spent a few quid in the bar over 4 days. But that’s it, perfect otherwise.

We were left disappointed after expecting a wonderful stay for our anniversary. The restaurant only offered a basic set menu for lunch and dinner- 5 choices and it didn’t change. We had planned to arrive, have a light lunch and eat in the restaurant again later that night. However we were told it would be exactly the same menu and there were no alternative options not even a light bite/sandwich menu. We therefore didn’t eat there that evening. The restaurant staff just didn’t seem to care, after explaining the above they weren’t bothered and then when I asked a simple question relating to my pregnancy and being able to eat certain foods, the response I received was one with a tone like I was stupid for asking. Hallways were left cluttered with ironing boards and ice buckets from housekeeping. The decor is stunning and rooms beautiful, but when the service doesn’t match it’s a huge let down. Certainly not worth the price for a below average service.

Good hotel but a bit loud and a party venue especially on weekends. A bit roudy around the pool with people drinking and being very loud. More on a Mallorca feel to it than Miami. Breakfast items of poor quality especially the full english breakfast. For the price paid one could expect better. Overall average value.

Beautiful decor, view from bedroom atrocious. Service very mixed. Poor in check in, great on check out. I waited 1 hour for poolside chips and was offered no discount and still charged service! This was deducted upon check out when I queried this. Food- very limited vegetarian section and same lunch and dinner menu. The only item available for main meal as a vegetarian was a very poor pad Thai. At £19 for such a high end hotel, this was very disappointing.

This time last year, The Nici was definitely 5 star but now it's maybe 4 stars. The pool needs some serious maintenance (my child and her friend were diving for loose pool tiles and found over 50 all in), the cleanliness particularly around the pool and pool loos needs serious work and the service in both restaurants is now decidedly not 5 star and neither is the cleaning service in the rooms. The rooms are showing significant signs of wear, also inconsistent with a 5 star rating. The hotel would do well to cater better to vegetarian diners as well, there are a total of two vegetarian options on the main restaurant menu and one by the pool. It feels like the owners moved on to the other Nici hotels and forgot about this one.

Wonderful stay at the Nici Bournemouth. Weather was fab so used the pool. There was quite a few kids splashing in there and sand in the bottom of the pool but didn’t ruin our stay and will definitely be going back.

I booked normal double room but upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised that my room was upgraded to Deluxe suite with balcony and pool view. They also let me check in right away we had reached. 14:30 instead of 15:00. Very helpful and friendly staffs, my husband enjoyed his birthday trip. Cannot thank enough. Will visit again in future, highly recommended
