Mezquina! Así califico nuestra estancia en este hotel cuyas políticas parecen estar diseñadas para limitar el consumo de alimentos y bebidas; menús limitados, propinas no incluidas y firmas hasta para una botella de agua. Staff de gente buena que hace lo que puede con las ridículas políticas establecidas por su administración. Fui parte de una convención de 150 personas que se llevó a cabo en este hotel. Tengan por seguro que el efecto negativo de la reseña de estas personas será mucho más costoso que los $10 dólares que cobrar por el servicio de room service…

We booked through Expedia - we were assigned a room very far from the pools, but it was a beautiful walk so we did not mind as much. Although along the walk, you could see many many empty rooms.There was an unusual odor in the room that quickly gave us a headache. We called down to the desk to have someone check it out. They reassigned us a room, one floor directly above us, but we had to wait for it to be cleaned- even though there multiple empty rooms. The next room did not have a stocked mini bar, or slippers, or snacks, or water like the other room did. Again, we did not want to keep complaining so we may do. The pool water in July is very very warm so you should be prepared for the humidity and the heat if you stay during this month. Getting in the pool was not refreshing. Eating in the restaurants outside was not refreshing or enjoyable. The restaurants are not air-conditioned and the seating outside have very few fans. So basically be prepared to sweat while trying to eat a delicious hot meal. Add one glass of wine and you will melt into a sweat puddle. Not that this is the staff’s fault, it’s not. With the hotel being maybe 30% at capacity, I was surprised we weren’t offered better amenities or even a nicer room. Our showerhead was clogged and our sinks had poor water pressure. The grounds are very beautiful and the food and drinks were good.

Overall, our stay at the Hacienda Del Mar Los Cabos was highly enjoyable, though it's clear the property is still in transition. While it is now part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, the current standards still fall a bit short of what you might typically expect from the brand. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, I would still absolutely recommend this all-inclusive property—just don't head into it expecting JW Marriott luxury. The resort boasts a beautiful, picturesque location right on the beach. However, keep in mind that the ocean here is entirely non-swimmable. You cannot enter the water, so come prepared to spend your time lounging by the pools rather than wading in the surf. The onsite restaurants were consistently solid across the board. The standout culinary experience of our trip was definitely Del Cortez. Note: There is a $35.00 USD surcharge per person to dine here, even on the all-inclusive plan. Is it worth it? Yes. The incredible beachside ambience, stunning views, high food quality, and attentive service make the extra fee well worth it for a special night. The absolute highlight of this resort is the staff. From the front desk and pool servers to the restaurant waiters, everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like part of their family. A fantastic option for families and Bonvoy members looking for great service and a beautiful property, as long as you understand the ongoing brand transition.

I highly recommend this resort. The customer service was fantastic, the food is amazing, De Cortez is well worth it and the property is very clean and scenic. The layout is chaos but that’s the fun part. Walk around everywhere. It’s fun because it’s unique. You will not see many places like this.
