Comfortable and clean rooms. Water on tap and coffee machine appreciated. Toiletries were disappointing…hand wash and shampoo only, not quite the Elemis experience that was sold online. Restaurant was dated, plastic (broken) plants and organised like a Victorian classroom…not sure who advertises that as elegant and romantic 😂 No views for us, other than the exit. Service was ok, plates not cleared for ages and then not all plates taken until desserts ordered. Food was good, although feel the starters weren’t prepared to order… Buffet breakfast had a good selection of cold options but hot food limited - eggs were fried, no other options, and tomatoes had to be ordered 🙃 Spa could only be used between 2 p.m. and 11 a.m the following day…not great for us as we couldn’t check in until 7 p.m. and it’s children’s hour in the pool between 9 and 10 a.m. Hotels with spas usually allow you to use the facilities after checking out and so, for that reason, I’ll not be staying at Frimley again.

Tranquility and relaxation in an adorable Manor House surrounded by ancient woodlands, full of tweeting birds. Highlights include a 300 foot sequoia, top notch pool, sauna and steam room for wet time activities and fried potato scones at breakfast!

Very comfortable bed, but the room was quite small, and the air con doesn't work!! Breakfast room very tired, badly needs a decorating upgrade!! Breakfast hot selection good, but the continental selection wasn't good .... very poor bread selection, hardly any fresh fruit salad, so non hot food guests, would struggle for a good breakfast!! And no-one clears tables, to get rid of dirty plates!! No lift, so it's stairs only, and the fire escapes were left open, to allow guests in and out to the car park, but I'm sure that's not allowed!!!

The staff were brilliant however the overall experience of the stay was hampered by the poor quality of the facilities. On arrival the first challenge was parking with no free spaces and people resorting to any space including double yellow lines to park their cars. Then when checking in we were informed of the family swim sessions which on the days we were checking in ran from 4-6pm and then the next morning 9-11am. This meant the key times between check in and checkout had busy pool sessions and the spa facilities were very busy. The showers in the changing were poor quality with 1 of the 3 not working. In the room heating was challenging and there were only 2 accessible plug sockets in the whole room. The shower in the room had broken controls and inconsistent water pressure. I feel like the hotel tries to pitch it as higher quality however the facilities are not well maintained.

The hotel itself is a pretty cool old manor style hotel. The staff are very nice and friendly. The food is very expensive for what it is though, (we ate there a few times) so for example..... you pay £6 for about 5 very bland tasting chips! The spa next door is nice, but is not your typical spa per-say, as the pool is full of young kids and relaxing in the pool after a treatment is not an option you’ll have.

The hotel staff, with the exception of the breakfast supervisor were completely disinterested. I contacted them several times on WhatsApp and they did not respond. The room was dingy, old and lacked basic comforts. The hotel is disappointing as it looks tired and lacks investment which is such a shame as it s a beautiful property. This is the second time we stayed when there was a wedding and it was complete chaos. Overall we were utterly disappointed. Only redeeming quality was the breakfast supervisor who was delightful.

Rooms are very tired (stained carpets and walls). Minimal toiletries provided, no conditioner. Breakfast was ok but choice limited, no fresh bread, rolls. Not much fruit on offer. No boiled eggs. I thought it was pretty poor. Also didn’t like the fact you had to reach over breakfast items to get plates etc, it didn’t seem very hygienic. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Dinner was very good, outside seating area nice and enjoyed the pool. Only visiting due to convenient location to family, I’d have been quite disappointed if staying for a holiday.

We stayed one night before travelling to LEGOLAND. The staff are all super friendly… dinnner was lovely. I had a massage which I don’t think was worth the money… I’ve had far better and for less money. The changing rooms in the spa were very busy, and dirty. The therapist who I had seemed very rushed and didn’t make me feel relaxed… a bit of relaxation music wouldn’t go a miss

The property is pretty, but the room was in dire need of an update. Chipped woodwork, stains on the floor, bath had stains and large chips out of it, where the enamel was gone. Definitely in need of a large facelift. the cleaning staff were great, but other staff were nonexistent. The bar is a poor excuse of a bar, just a bar and a few seats in a hallway. there are no elevators, which made it difficult to carry suitcase up the stairs and no help was offered. The food was expensive, and the room service food was over proced and poor.

Our 1 night stay was good. Reception very friendly and helpful. This is a decent place to stay, ok, a little tired here and there but, comfortable and does its job very well. The drinks and food expensive (didn’t try) as we think this large hotel is used by business customers, probably on expense accounts. Set in large grounds away from town youll need to drive if you wish to eat elsewhere.

It was an unmitigated disaster to start with. Placed in a room above a wedding disco ; asked to change rooms ; receptionist lied and said no other rooms. Went online and found they had them. Arrogant tall gentleman continued to argue and said it was my fault for booking late. No apologies or anything Then after 30 minutes - left while he found duty manager who in the end did agree they had rooms and moved us to a nice room which was quiet.She said we would have to move back the next night which was rubbish and the saviour was AREEYA who the next morning immediately , politely and with a smile tap on the computer and said we could stay in our room. BOZENQ in the restaurant was another star making us feel special. One other negative was ; if you want milk which a sign says in the room 'call reception' - they want £8 tray charge !!!! Mega rip off ; we went and picked it up ourselves. So a mixed bag but at a higher end hotel - the reception experience was one of the worst in my 40 years of hotel visits ( roughly 1-2 per week for context !) Macdonald - must do better and reward your 2 exceptional staff

The bed was so uncomfortable both my self and my son have had to see the doctor with our backs . My son’s shower wouldn’t go past warm because the valve was set up wrong . The sofas in the rooms were so old you couldn’t sit on them or you will fall into them . When functions were on people huddled around the front door smoking and blew smoke in your face when you walked in . I booked 3 rooms and all of them were just as bad . I spoke to the receptionist about this and she told me people like the soft beds they say they are like sleeping on a cloud and they can’t please everyone. I also mentioned that there were no bathrobes in the room so didn’t make use of the spa . She said they have never put bathrobes in the room and it was down to the 3rd party putting the wrong details . I said it’s a spa hotel ? Wouldn’t you put bathrobes in a room? It’s such a shame because it’s a lovely looking hotel . One night would have probably been ok but 1 week was too much .

She said they have never put bathrobes in the room and it was down to the 3rd party putting the wrong details . I said it’s a spa hotel ? Wouldn’t you put bathrobes in a room? It’s such a shame because it’s a lovely looking hotel . One night would have probably been ok but 1 week was too much .

Very comfortable bed, but the room was quite small, and the air con doesn't work!! Breakfast room very tired, badly needs a decorating upgrade!! Breakfast hot selection good, but the continental selection wasn't good .... very poor bread selection, hardly any fresh fruit salad, so non hot food guests, would struggle for a good breakfast!! And no-one clears tables, to get rid of dirty plates!! No lift, so it's stairs only, and the fire escapes were left open, to allow guests in and out to the car park, but I'm sure that's not allowed!!!

Lovely setting, efficient and friendly staff. Bathroom was very aged and shower difficult to stand in. Mattress was very poor and well worn. Noisy mechanical sounds all night which presumably was AC from other rooms.

The hotel staff, with the exception of the breakfast supervisor were completely disinterested. I contacted them several times on WhatsApp and they did not respond. The room was dingy, old and lacked basic comforts. The hotel is disappointing as it looks tired and lacks investment which is such a shame as it s a beautiful property. This is the second time we stayed when there was a wedding and it was complete chaos. Overall we were utterly disappointed. Only redeeming quality was the breakfast supervisor who was delightful.

Nice, quiet hotel. I just wanted to highlight the amazing customer service I received at both the reception and the restaurant. I arrived a bit early, and the lady at the reception ensured my room was made available to me as soon as possible. I also didn't realize that breakfast was served from 8 AM on weekends, which was a bit late for me as I had to leave the hotel early. The restaurant manager, Bozena, made sure our breakfast was ready before the opening hours so we could leave the hotel on time. Many thanks.

I have stayed at Frimley Hall several times in the past, albeit not for the past 12 months. I arrived at check-in at 7pm after a 4 hour drive. There was one person dealing with check-ins; by the time I was served there were 6 groups waiting to be checked in behind me; it took me 30 minutes to finally get my room key. I suggested the person behind the check-in counter call for help, but he said there was nobody who can help. There was a wedding reception on too, so the hotel was packed! At the restaurant, many of the items on the menu were not available. Again, the staff tried their best to help but I waited about 20 minutes before my wine turned up. Breakfast used to be great! Their full English with black pudding was a brilliant start to my day. Now it is Premier Inn style. Hotel management has seriously let Frimley Hall down. I won't say I'll never stay there again, but there are better places to stay for the cost in the area & I will be using them in future. Our company depot is in Camberley so Frimley Hall has been handy... but there are far better places to stay in Ascot. I review only when a hotel is really good or really bad. I stay in at least 1 hotel most weeks so I do know good from bad. It was an unmitigated disaster to start with. Placed in a room above a wedding disco ; asked to change rooms ; receptionist lied and said no other rooms. Went online and found they had them. Arrogant tall gentleman continued to argue and said it was my fault for booking late. No apologies or anything Then after 30 minutes - left while he found duty manager who in the end did agree they had rooms and moved us to a nice room which was quiet.She said we would have to move back the next night which was rubbish and the saviour was AREEYA who the next morning immediately , politely and with a smile tap on the computer and said we could stay in our room. BOZENQ in the restaurant was another star making us feel special. One other negative was ; if you want milk which a sign says in the room 'call reception' - they want £8 tray charge !!!! Mega rip off ; we went and picked it up ourselves. So a mixed bag but at a higher end hotel - the reception experience was one of the worst in my 40 years of hotel visits ( roughly 1-2 per week for context !) Macdonald - must do better and reward your 2 exceptional staff

Outside tables full of empty drinks, staff repeatedly came out and didn’t tidy up. Bar ran out of beer, even although not busy. Empty bottles from rooms left on ledge for over a day. Room staff did great but considering price/previous ratings kind of feels like staff are going through the motions. Stayed in London, York this trip in similar hotels…. Unfortunately this was not up to same standard.

Amazing friendly service, super dog friendly and thoughtful. Gorgeous hotel, lovely grounds, superb food, simply delicious 😋. The best meal was breakfast, we were looked after by the amazing Bozena, she made us feel like royalty every day xx

At check in, the receptionist did not speak good English at all. I also had to ask him what room number he had scribbled down. I reserved a table for 8pm and my colleague was running late due to traffic so I popped my head into restaurant to advise them. I went to the bar next door to wait and saw the restaurant lady popping in a few times. When we eventually got to the restaurant, she advised that we were too late for a meal. I protested and she reluctantly gave us a table. Not once had she advised that the restaurant would close by a certain time. I had to wait about 10 minutes to be served in the bar, 1 member of staff on a go slow, not all his fault because only 1 card machine shared with restaurant to take payments ( no offer at check in for a card deposit), no Peroni draught which was like that 12 months before, just a glass over the pump, a bit like Fawlty Towers really. The food that we had was nice enough and the room comfortable

Clean enough but slightly dated. Unfortunately some of the bookings for dinner and spa had not been arranged (later transpired a system update had happened). Most of the staff we interacted with were lovely and did a great job, especially Charlie at dinner. But just felt like it was running on very low staff and there weren’t many around on reception, bar or at the spa.

Our 1 night stay was good. Reception very friendly and helpful. This is a decent place to stay, ok, a little tired here and there but, comfortable and does its job very well. The drinks and food expensive (didn’t try) as we think this large hotel is used by business customers, probably on expense accounts. Set in large grounds away from town youll need to drive if you wish to eat elsewhere.

We stayed one night before travelling to LEGOLAND. The staff are all super friendly… dinnner was lovely. I had a massage which I don’t think was worth the money… I’ve had far better and for less money. The changing rooms in the spa were very busy, and dirty. The therapist who I had seemed very rushed and didn’t make me feel relaxed… a bit of relaxation music wouldn’t go a miss

The bar staff weren’t that helpful or knowledgeable how to make a cocktail. As it had a very limited cocktail selection. We wanted a Stawberry daiquiri a pretty basic cocktail and they didn’t want to go that extra mile by making one. The menu at the Linden restaurant was very basic and not a lot of choice. The portions were very small. My friend had a Chicken Tikka masala at £24, hardly any chicken at all! I had the slow cooked belly of pork at £23 which was only served with potato rosti/ cabbage and one black pudding truffle ball. No other vegetables which I felt it needed as all very beige looking. We also had the afternoon tea the scones were lovely however the sandwich’s weren’t the bread was hard as if it’s been left out too long or prepared the day before.

This is a beautiful property. Very classy while being very comfortable. Food in the lounge was great, especially tortellini. Lovely environment definitely weighs following negatives. The breakfast was not impressive. Few hot choices. Eggs were unpleasant. Tomatoes had to be ordered, and took 15 minutes to arrive. Was amazed at how lax servers were at clearing dirty dishes in lounge. Would deliver a beer and walk away without empty glasses on table.

So the initial impression is very good, nice reception, good looking building. Unfortunately the layout is rather old (probably due to the building to be fair) and I was miles from the reception/Spa area. Rooms look good but need an update, all slightly dated and old. Breakfast was...well ordinary. Had better at Premier Inn or Wetherspoons. Not a great selection of fruit, juices running out and pastries that were a bit dry...just ordinary and not fitting a place that looks like this.

It's a perfect hotel for a single traveller. Reception is very helpful. The manager of the restaurant is very attentive. There was a great choice of breakfasts on offer.

The hotel itself is a pretty cool old manor style hotel. The staff are very nice and friendly. The food is very expensive for what it is though, (we ate there a few times) so for example..... you pay £6 for about 5 very bland tasting chips! The spa next door is nice, but is not your typical spa per-say, as the pool is full of young kids and relaxing in the pool after a treatment is not an option you’ll have.

All the rooms are dog friendly. Comfort cooling a bonus. Have stayed a few times over the last 4 years and have always been made very welcome. Feel safe and comfortable especially when travelling with our dog.

The bar advertised Taittinger champagne but did not have any in stock. Bar food was good and it was pleasant to sit outside and be served. Used the pool and steam room but, being a Saturday, it was busy and limited space to swim.
