Lovely infinity pool with amazing views. The rooftop bar offers a great selection of food and drinks, the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Lovely place to stay in Colombo. Make sure to get an ocean view room or better yet with a balcony. The facilities were great, rooftop bar, infinity pool, cafe & gym area all at a great price. The only downside was the painfully slow check in process - felt like I was applying for a mortgage rather than checking into a hotel.

This hotel is right on the water, with beautiful views! Two rooftop pools, an on site spa, jacuzzi near the gym with excellent views, nice staff. I love that my bathtub has a view of the sea, too. Room is very comfortable with good amenities. Highly recommend.

The Granbell is our favourite hotel whenever we are in Colombo. The staff are really friendly and very efficient, check in super fast. The infinity pool on the roof offers amazing views across to Port City and the 'Bar on Top ' is also situated on the roof and offers a great selection of food and drinks.

Lækkert hotel. Ordentligt og god stand. Flot udsigt! Hjælpsomt personale. God morgenmad. Dejlige pools, men kold jacuzzi. God Spa massage. Vinduet på værelserne er ikke lydtætte og mod vandet er der en togstation. Der kom en pivende lyd hver gang vi tændte for vandet. Langsomme eller for få elevatorer gør at man venter lang tid. Ucharmerende område, trods centralt og mange andre dyre hoteller ligger i nærheden.

Lovely hotel. Would recommend but the lifts were soooo slow

Excellent view and facilities. The gym is well equipped and the treadmills have a lovely view over the ocean. The jacuzzi was a real highlight and we had a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend. The only recommendation we would make is to have more water available in the rooms.

Absolutely stunning hotel, highly recommend a sea view room here. Beautiful room, excellent view, even the gym is rooms including dance studio have ocean views! Rooftop pool overlooking the ocean is magnificent, with nice minima progressive house music playing. Staff are the best. Just book your stay already!

Nice hotel with great location, super fitness with view at 10th floor and infinity pool at 27th floor. Room was big, cosy and clean.

Clean place

Whilst our room in the hotel was fine, the breakfast was very average in terms of food quality. The cleanliness of the dining tables was really questionable and not adequate. This needs to be improved. Breakfast is incredibly busy, but still not any excuse for cleaning properly. The pool area is fine but you don’t go to this hotel really to stay by the pool.

Stayed here for 2 nights. First night we received a room for which the toilet still had urine odour. The TV was broken and wires hanging out. 2nd night they accommodated us with a new room upon our request- which we really appreciate. However the toilet odour situation was the same. Both washroom areas had build up on tile hence was slippery. The TV- it’s a cheap piece of equipment for which it responding to its TV is a hit or a miss. Given the $$ spent here and comparison to other hotels around the area at same price point, can do better.

Unser Zimmer war so feucht und hat nach Schimmel/Nässe gerochen, dass wir Zimmer getauscht haben. Dies wurde auch ohne Probleme veranlasst. Allerdings war das nächste Zimmer so vom Personal präpariert, dass wir die Nässe erst am nächsten Tag rochen. 2 Tage später bei Abreise waren unsere Klamotten klamm, mein Buch hatte Feuchtigkeitswellen. Außerdem hat sich die Bettwäsche permanent feucht angefühlt. Die Vorhänge hatten Schimmelflecken und alles in allem war das wirklich unterirdisch. Rooftopbar: Cocktails an der Bar waren lecker, Essen dafür weniger

Conditioner was empty and bathroom floor wasnt clean. Bed was good

Hotel entrance was confusing. Roped off area with Tuktuks stopped any other vehicles from parking safely to allow customer drop off or pickup. Your luggage was taken from you and disappeared without a receipt. When you arrived on the first floor for reception there was bags everywhere as they had just been dumped by the staff. Not enough reception staff to facilitate check in. No queue ropes so people pushing in and staff allowing it to happen. Staff were only giving out low floor rooms to people checking in early. For a high floor you had to come back after 2pm and experience the chaos for a second time. This entire process needs to be looked at as the customer experience is not good. The room was looking tired and required attention. For example staining on seat cushions and rug. Large crack in feature window. The roof top is very nice but way too small for the size of hotel. Only 5 sun beds and no shade. Very difficult to get a towel. The worst part of the pool area was staff allowing hotel guest to stand or seat in and around the pool with drinks in glass, and allowed smoking no ashtrays were being used. Hotels.com need to inspect the hotels they sell on their platform as a matter of urgency By the way if you have a sea view room it doesn’t matter what floor you’re on. The noise from the train and station are the same.

ハウスキーパー、部屋の掃除に不満、バスタオルのみの日が２日、バスタオル交換なしが２日フェースタオルがない日が二日、ランドリーを受け取るのに丸２日もかかるか？館内利用が全てその都度精算なんていうホテルは初めてだ。

Room was immaculate, blew away my expectations! We had a sea view room with an awesome view. Trains can be honking at all times of night but that’s not in the hotel’s control!

ロケーションは最高。 まさにインド洋が眼下に広がり、完全なオーシャンフロント。 シェラトンなどは一歩奥まった通りに面しているため、ロケーションだけ取ってみると当ホテルの圧勝。 あと日本の会社がやっているだけあってウォシュレットが部屋の中に設置されているのは有り難い。 しかし、悪いことつが2つ。 1つは料理が致命的にマズいこと。 朝のビュッフェ、それと一度夜のビュッフェも食べた。品数はそれなりに充実しているし、食材のクオリティもまあまあ高い。スリランカ料理を初め、各国の料理が用意されているのだが、全体の1割程度のスリランカ料理はまあまあ美味しいのだが、その他各国料理が極めて不味い。 多分一度も本当の各国の料理を食べたことがないシェフ達がインターネットなどを見て、こんなものだろう、と想像で作っているレベル。 ほぼ全てのメニューが壊滅的に不味い。 2つ目は部屋の中には完全にベッドしかないこと。 部屋自体はとてもモダンでカッコいいのだが、机も椅子もないのが、こんなに不便だとは思わなかった。 飲み物もベッドサイドの小さな台に置かないといけないし、PCはベッドの上にしか置く所がないので、不自由極まりない。 なぜ椅子や小さくても良いから机ぐらい用意していないのか？

I have mixed emotions for the Granbell. I had booked a Deluxe Double Room, Sea View so we could watch the sun set from the balcony or soaking in the bath for our last evening in Sri Lanka. Arrived at 4.30 & apparently there was ‘fault’ with our room so we were put in a ‘temporary’ room. Which to be fair was very nice and if that was the room I had booked I would have been happy with it. I was told it wouldn’t take long for our proper room to be available & I would get a what’s app message advising me (no what’s app message was received). We waited patiently for 2 hours, watched the sunset through a dirty window (not the romantic dream I have wished and paid for). I chased reception several times. Sometimes hung up on and sometimes put on hold indefinitely. I remained polite throughout. Eventually someone came & took our bags to our new room 2002. The room was excellent and my review would have been completely different if the mess up in reception hadn’t occurred. We ended up getting room service as we were shattered from traveling all day and the time we were given our room meant our evening plans had to be changed. Nevertheless the room service food arrived and was still hot and tasty (just as a heads up they ask for payment when they deliver the food, I wasn’t given an option to pay at check out which was fine by me). The bed was very comfortable & We both slept well. I did request a gel pillow but it didn’t arrive (no surprise there as the request went via reception)!

Amazing swimming pool and view to see But wifi is not stable and cleaning of the room not did after dining in the room. Telephone not worked

The hotel did not meet my expectations. First, there was no wardrobe or ironing board or luggage stool in the room. It made my stay extremely difficult. Additionally, the room was not soundproof, so I was disturbed throughout the night by the constant honking of trains and vehicles. This made it difficult to get a good night’s rest.

Väldigt långsam och stökigt vid incheckning, inte särskild tillmötesgående kring möjlighet att få ett extra täcke till rummet etc. Möte inte vad vi förväntaade oss kring allmän service nivå

The staff at the property lack professionalism. The arrival experience was very poor. We were issued only 1 room key as the team mentioned we do not have availability. On insisting next day they issued another access. We rang for half hour to the reception no one answered the call. On arrival we reported that the balcony handle was broken and was not fixed during our 3 night stay. We requested to speak to the duty manager and the request was denied. No one called back. A simple laundry bag and pickup took 1 hour We ordered room service and on calling for clearance, we were told to keep it outside. It remained there for hours. Our laundry was misplaced and not delivered on time and had to make multiple calls, finally on the day of checkout it was delivered. The only amazing thing about this hotel is the view and the room amenities.

Worst hotel experience ever. Can't get any sleep in 7 hours stay because hotel people kept ringing the bell, even didn't know my booking information. Slow check in, lots of people have to wait

The hotel promised us that we could leave luggage there during our travel around Sri Lanka but when we checked out they had changed their mind. Very bad service!

Lovely hotel - beautiful rooms, friendly staff, stunning views. Food at the buffet was good and reasonably priced. Only recommendation would be to to respond to messages via the booking platforms as our request got missed (but rectified for a small extra price) at check in.

Hotel generally clean, service was absolutely terrible - they only staff interns on reception which makes it unbearably slow. When staff accidentally damaged items of ours which they acknowledged and agreed to refund yet never did and since we left the hotel they now refuse. I wouldn’t recommend this purely on that basis.

They did such an amazing job, very kind and attentive. I asked to print my boarding pass and they were able to do it at the front even though it took a while (on my part). Everyone was super nice and I will definitely come back to stay here again. Also the sea view was to die for, I am so glad we spent the extra to get the sea view

This is the worse customer experience I have received in a while.. - Lifts are taking ages to come - Checking in is a nightmare - F&B staff are doing their own things and their discussions when guests being served - It’s terrible Looks like they are short of staff

Nice hotel i use when in colombo. It is on marine drive and you really can nit walk on the roads or even get onto the beach. Even on the 12th floor you hear the train horns from 6 am. Wonderful friendly and obliging staff. Superb breakfast.

Really night upmarket! The infinity pool is right on the sea and nice bar on the roof top! We had the deluxe room with the balcony - worth the money! Not loads near by - but very easy to move around with Uber Tuk Tuks!

Nous avons séjourné qu'une nuit, l'hôtel est parfait, prestations parfaites, la piscine sur le toit avec une vue splendide. Le quartier n'est pas très touristique, cependant il reste agréable. Il n'y a pas de plage où l'on peut se poser. Il est accessible en bus, il se trouve pas loin de la gare de train kollupitiya.

Very nice hotel. Well appointed rooms. Breakfast was great and the staff helpful. The TV in the room needs a bit of improvement though. The location of the hotel is ok. Not a great deal of eateries nearby. The pool and restaurant on the top floor were great.

Convenient, easy to check in with 24 hour manned reception. The rooms were great, so was the pool and the view. Wouldn’t recommend the Japanese restaurant.

We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. The rooms are incredibly well suited for couples - perfectly sized and with an amazing view (if you are debating, upgrade to a sea view)! My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo.

Everything was great, even better than Amari. However, the pool bar’s food and drinks could be improved, as they weren’t very tasty.

Really lovely hotel, stylish and comfortable in a good location. Fantastic rooftop pool and bar! The Japanese restaurant was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. Very very clean facilities. Enjoyed my stay very much, thank you!

My only complaints are those lifts 😩 so slow and just need to top up breakfast- ran out of certain foods and it was not addressed.
