The hotel is beautifully up on the mountain and quite a walk from Forio (2km). The host will happily picked up guests by the ferry. It is recommended to rent a car or scooter to get around. The hotel has stunning views of the city and sunset from all balconies. The pool is really nice, although not that big, but a nice addition. Breakfast is rather simple but nice enough with the bare minimum. We experienced some days with low wather flow in the bathrooms, it was fixed after two days.

Charming hotel, with a remote location and lovely staff. When we finally got the room we payed for (we were placed in a cheaper room the first night for some reason) we really enjoyed our stay and the Superior room. The hotel is lovely, not the newest or the cleanest, but amazing value for money. The hightlight is the staff, Amerigo the owner, and the hilltop location with amazing sunset views. Will definitely consider staying here again for our 4th visit to the island.

We had an amazing stay and truly felt at home in this family run hotel! A special thank you to Paolo at the breakfast room for his perfect cappuccinos every morning! Beautiful Martina in the front desk always helpful and with a smile. Thank you to the owner Amerigo for the amazing hospitality and for always being there for the guests. He works so hard! A beautiful place, breathtaking views and unforgettable sunsets from the hotel terrace and pool area, we made some great family memories there. We can hardly wait to come back

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Poggio del Sole and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ischia. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or requests we had during our stay. One thing we really appreciated was the free access to La Rotonda, which was a great bonus and made our experience even better. We also recommend renting a scooter while staying in Forio, as it makes it much easier to explore the island. The hotel staff were very helpful with transportation as well and even picked us up when we arrived in Forio, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel offers great value, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again.
