It was nice and peaceful to be on the lake. And we enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The included breakfast was pretty good. They charge extra for parking and the kayaks though.

Great property! The staff were friendly and efficient from the moment we booked. The room and public areas were clean, the hot tub and sauna were absolutely dreamy, and the views of every room over the lake gave us the peace we were looking for. It was a bit noisy die to the traffic of the highway, but if you're a heavy sleeper, or use a noise app (like me) it'll help drown that out. Close enough to downtown and the harbour, and far enough out of town that it's easy to explore north of the city. Highly recommend!

Right now I will only discuss the $10 parking fee, which I feel is unnecessary for a hotel/motel in the suburbs. I am sure it was mentioned somewhere on the listing, but frankly if you charged 10 dollars more for a room, with free parking, that would be more transparent. I can’t imagine that many people would go to this inn without a car, given its location

The location is off the hiway yet it is quiet. Free breakfast but limited selections and the dining room is too small and crowded. Checking-in was at 3 pm , we were there at 3:20 after a long day of driving, all we wanted was to have room to rest before heading out again to do some activities. Well we were told, room will be ready at 4 and they took our phone number so they can call us when the room was ready. We went to the store and came back to the hotel at 4:10 after waiting for the said phone call. There were other people in the lobby waiting for the room. When I noticed that the group who came after us at 3:30 was given a room, I speak up and asked if our room was also ready as I am not getting a call from them (it’s now 4:20pm). So they checked and said they finally have a room for us. The hallway infront of the elevator was very dirty and stained that is needing attention. The open hallway is full of cobwebs and spiders. The room was adequate for what we need for the night. It is also nice as the property is on the lake with nice sunrise view.

The rooms were old and tired. The carpets were well stained. The outside patio was full of spiders and cobwebs as was the entry area. The breakfast had limited options compared to other similar properties in the price range and in the area. The view of the lake and the cleanliness of the reception arwa was absuty wonderful. The staff did go out of their way to meet our needs and we appreciated their efforts.

Overall the place is amazing and I would definitely book a family suite with them again. However, the cleaning staff was subpar. The first day, no garbages were cleaned and replaced, dishes were not done in the kitchenette and the water glasses were not replaced in either the bathroom nor kitchen near the ice bucket. Even after mentioning this to the amazing front desk staff, the next day, dishes left in the sink were still not done and coffee pods had not been replinished. I ended up having to do dishes on vacation - I wasn't impressed with this. Also, the continental breakfast cannot pass off folded eggs as omelets. Add a little cheese at least if you are going to call it an omelet. Also, leave some cooking spray next to the waffle iron so people's waffles don't stick so bad that you cannot even remove them. The views, hot tub and front desk staff were incredible! I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hot tub & sauna spa is in a separate building & not easy to get to (especially when the book you in a rom furthest away. We had to pay extra for parking because we booked through a 3rd party. They said the rooms were soundproof but they are not. Beds were comfortable & room was very clean. The carpet was stained

The location was beautiful and we loved having the lake right outside. The staff were friendly but our room was never cleaned unless I asked for it to be. Sheets weren’t changed, garbage wasn’t removed daily, beds weren’t made. One of the exterior doors was broken and you could access guest rooms and fully bypass the front counter which made me very nervous travelling with children. Finally the gym doesn’t open until 8am making it very difficult to get a morning workout in before starting your day.

The double Qn suite is recently updated, very clean & fresh, facing directly to the lake, very relaxing. Room is big, bathroom clean, continental breakfast included, for me if there’s ham or bacon that would be perfect. I’ll still stay there if I’m in town.

This is a great location. Staff were very helpful. The decor is dated. They need to get rid of the carpeting. The breakfast is good. It gets busy and the space is small but they have extra seating outside. It’s a good choice for the price you pay.

This is a nice place to stay for the price. The staff is friendly and helpful. The decor in the rooms is tired. We saw that some of the rooms are renovated and they look great. Unfortunately we never got one of those rooms for either of our visits last week.

A similar situation occurred during check-out—another guest suddenly interrupted, and once again, the staff prioritized that guest over me. Allowing others to cut in line and disregarding the guest currently being helped is unprofessional and reflects poor service. Unfortunately, this lack of courtesy and proper service occurred during both check in and check out. 2.Room Not Properly Stocked Upon entering my room, I noticed that both the body wash, shampoo and tissue box were nearly empty. I contacted the front desk to request a refill. A staff member came to the room and informed me that housekeeping was unavailable and asked if I could wait until the following day. This was unacceptable, as these basic amenities should be replenished before a new guest checks in. When I insisted a second time, the staff eventually refilled the items but did so with an impatient and dismissive attitude. 3. Undisclosed Parking Fee and Rude Response I was charged a parking fee that was never mentioned during check-in or check-out. When I called to inquire, a supervisor answered and responded rudely, asking, “CAN’T YOU READ? The policy is online.” He failed to address my concerns and hung up while I was still speaking. We had booked for one night and at the last minute decided to stay an extra night. The staff were great accommodating us in the same room despite being heavily booked. This is a great hotel with comfortable rooms facing the lake.

We were in a pet friendly room that was ideal. It was ground floor so we could walk out to our patio area. Location was great: convenient for our early morning fairy to Horseshoe Bay. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating.

I had a wonderful experience here. They were very accommodating to me and my Girl Guide Unit. The staff was very understanding and helped me out when needed. There was an issue trying to get ahold of the front desk on the one day (over 1.5 hours to get a hold of anyone - we called & went to the counter & no one was around. And there were a bunch of people wanting to check in). Breakfast is the basic free breakfast, but it hit the spot to get us going. I would say being there early because each morning, they ran out of drinks & food. I love the fact that they had games to bring to the rooms to play. That was a hit for the girls in their rooms. I had a wonderful experience here. They were very accommodating to me and my Girl Guide Unit. The staff was very understanding and helped me out when needed. There was an issue trying to get ahold of the front desk on the one day (over 1.5 hours to get a hold of anyone - we called & went to the counter & no one was around. And there were a bunch of people wanting to check in). Breakfast is the basic free breakfast, but it hit the spot to get us going. I would say being there early because each morning, they ran out of drinks & food. I love the fact that they had games to bring to the rooms to play. That was a hit for the girls in their rooms. When a mutlitple night stay in Nanaimo is required, this is our go to place. Convenient location, ample parking, large 1 bedroom suites, lots of furniture, good view of lake, good bed, nice breakfast and reasonable price.

The front desk is down a short flight of stairs so as someone with a mobility disability this was not convenient. The room was okay. Sorry carpet and dingy. I asked for a wake up call (because my phone battery was dead) which was delivered late.

The view from the room was amazing. Extremely clean and has been updated, so bathroom the fixtures were modern and worked well. The breakfast included has a great selection of food. Different types of bread for toasting, eggs, cereal, omelet. Oat milk one of the beverage selections. The fruit and yogurt also a great selection.

We arrived just before check-in and were pleasantly surprised to see hundreds of Canadian geese on Long Lake. Yes the highway is right there, but there’s plenty of green space behind the Long Lake Inn. I especially appreciated the first floor and was able to park right near our door, which is helpful since we’ve been traveling with our dog and a crate and all of our stuff easy access to our clean room. The location is close to everything.
