Sonder industrialist was an incredible stay in a handy location to get anywhere in the city, the front desk staff were incredible and accommodating. Even though there is no laundry we did ours at the closest laundromat $10 for wash dry iron fold and pick up! Only thing we would have loved is to not pay $35 for cleaning and sheet changing during our stay but otherwise would happily stay again and recommend to anyone needing a place to stay!

Great place for short stay. Comfortable and great location for visiting family. I wish it had its own gym. The sink position was a bit narrow and the light fixture above the sink was missing. However everyone was super nice and helpful. Would give it another go.

The vibes of this place were immaculate! The room was small but I didn’t mind. The hotel was very clean and quiet. They do not offer a lot of amenities but since I was only there for two nights, it was fine. Definitely in a great location, there were plenty of restaurants and shopping places within walking distance. I would stay here again.

The room was cozy and clean. The staff were incredible! There was just a few issues with the key code system malfunctioning that left us trapped outside for a few hours late at night. Otherwise my review would be higher.

Interesting style of hotel, clean and straightforward, you use a code to enter front door and your room, and you check yourself in on the app/website. At night when you enter there is a uniformed security guard in the lobby, too. I stayed at the previous version of this hotel (gowanus inn and yard) and the price is now spot on for what is being offered: a no-frills but nice and clean place to sleep. Unlike other places at the same price point in the same area I didnt smell Weed being smoked at all, most other places at this price point stink of weed, and look like they were not really cleaned/just made the bed between stays. I didnt use any other amenities but would stay here again. Construction site right outside my window but it's not the hotel's fault, and it was a good excuse to get up and out early, anyway. Smelled like wet carpet as soon as you walked in. The room floor looked like they were not mopped/cleaned. The central hair unit was broken to the point that the room itself had an oscillating floor fan. Would not recommend.

It was a great place to stay. Very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views. Housekeeping was very thorough and efficient. Easy access to the subway. Only a few blocks of walking to a nice range of good restaurants.

The rooms do not look like the photos at all. They are visually cold/shockingly ugly: very little furniture, scuffed walls, visibly broken fixtures. My bathroom mirror had holes in it for vanity lights, but no vanity lights—it looked like a half-finished, badly flipped house. Very little counter space to put my toiletries and no light to do makeup well. In my room the outlet was broken and the only light that worked was the overhead fluorescent light. Bathroom reeked of mildew. Room was generally very dirty—I dropped an earring back on the floor and when I got on the floor to find it I screamed. Dust bunnies, dirt, just generally so gross. Pros: the staff I interacted with were very nice, the location is good, there weren't any bedbugs in my room. (I checked.) But absolutely avoid this place. I was in town for business and this room was so bad I had to leave early so I could function. I could not get comfortable in this room, even for a minute.

We were very disappointed with this property. The room was deceptively photographed and was worse than mosr dorm rooms in terms of size and character. But even worse the whole building smelled. It is appalling they charged over 400 for a box in a place that stunk from refuse. We urge everyone to spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere.

It is a good location right next to Park Slope and near the subway. The condition of the rooms could be better looked after and more attention to detail. It was difficult to use the sink in the bathroom due to the shelf just above it.

The pictures definitely make it look more glamorous than it is. The location & neighborhood are great, the coffee & roku TV were a nice touch and the bed was quite comfortable, but the room itself was incredibly sterile (borderline institutional). Thin doors & walls let a lot of noise in, making it tough to sleep soundly. A decent stay if you can get it at a good price, but it felt less like an upscale hostel and more like a dormitory lined with stark white walls as far as the eye can see.

A comfy bed and an excellent shower only let down by a poor bathroom layout, some cleanliness issues and a bit of sound leakage around the door all of which are easily fixable! The subway is minutes away and some good nearby breakfast spots to start your day. Lovely staff and a fair price. Would recommend!

The big surprise they hide is that the shower is unusable. It's installed around a foundational beam, leaving only a space of 18" for you to stand in and take a shower. In order to move around, be prepared for full contact with walls and curtains. The sink also prevents you from washing your face, because of a shelf. The entire place was falling apart. The vents into the room were full of crud. The curtains did not work. The windows do not open. When reaching management about the problem, I was ignored. I imagine this is part of the design for more than just my room.

Small room (typical in NYC), but wow, what a nice city skyline view, and a private balcony. The mattress was too firm for our taste, but everything was clean and the hotel staff were friendly. Great location in Brooklyn's Park Slope.

Sink design and location outside bathroom made it impossible to wash face or brush teeth without getting floor, self completely wet. Tiny room with 12” of space on side and end of bed. No where to store luggage. Not set up for two people or one person with more than a small backpack. Loud noises from water or plumbing in middle of night woke us. Good shampoos, etc and helpful locker service for early bag drop. Friendly staff. Good location convenient to restaurants, etc. yet quiet.

The property is in a great location for accessing New York City. The room was reasonable size for New York and comfortable. My two complaints would be 1. There is no accessible restroom if you arrive prior to check-in. 2. Billing: I prepaid for my room and was charged the full amount again when I checked in again when I was checked out. Have been told it will be five business days before I can have a refund of my $3500.

Sonder the industrialist was an incredibly good property for the price and I would easily recommend it to everybody. The staff were phenomenal, especially Christian, me and my girlfriend chatted too many times. The only complaints I have for the property is simply the beds and pillows, which I feel should have had other options. As it was quite uncomfortable for me and my girlfriend. But either way I would not say that as a deterrent for staying here. I will definitely be coming here again, if given the opportunity.

The hotel was beautiful and clean and comfirtable, but the most important thing was the people. All the staff were amazing, super kind and helpful. That made my stay all the more unforgettable!

This is my second stay at this property & next time I come to the city, I’ll stay there again! The staff is primarily friendly & helpful. Most of them go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect! Love the neighborhood & this property!

I didn't have hot water for a day and the front desk laughed at me when I went down to ask what was going on. I had to go to work without a shower. Horrific. I was told I would get $50 compensation but still haven't received it. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. Disgraceful

I didn’t like the checkin and what happened when i was entering my room and saw someone clothes in the room that was assigned to me. Even this happened I was the one that have to call to manage it because only the security was there to help.

It was a great place to stay. Very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views. Housekeeping was very thorough and efficient. Easy access to the subway. Only a few blocks of walking to a nice range of good restaurants.

The hotel was in a good area of Brooklyn there’s were nice stores a block over, the train was very close to the hotel as well. The room was a good size for me and my sister. Lastly the staff were nice and helpful as well would stay again.

Very clean and quiet rooms in the heart of Brooklyn. Subway station is across the street. A nice coffee shop and many deli shops. Walking distance or one subway stop to the center of downtown Brooklyn. Highly recommended.

Interesting style of hotel, clean and straightforward, you use a code to enter front door and your room, and you check yourself in on the app/website. At night when you enter there is a uniformed security guard in the lobby, too. I stayed at the previous version of this hotel (gowanus inn and yard) and the price is now spot on for what is being offered: a no-frills but nice and clean place to sleep. Unlike other places at the same price point in the same area I didnt smell Weed being smoked at all, most other places at this price point stink of weed, and look like they were not really cleaned/just made the bed between stays. I didnt use any other amenities but would stay here again. Construction site right outside my window but it's not the hotel's fault, and it was a good excuse to get up and out early, anyway. Recommended versus other options in park slope/gowanus

I loved the location. There was a subway stop directly across the street, and everything in Park Slope was within a short walking distance. The room was small but comfortable enough. I liked the no-frills vibe.

this visit should’ve been amazing. The location is great the morning staff was wonderful. But I arrived late and had some trouble checking in, despite the multitude of emails that preceded my arrival. But the true problem was that the room was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep. yes there were loud guests, but the sound is amplifiers down the hall and the walls appear to be paper thin. then renovation noise began in the morning. It was a relief to get up and out. The staff on the other hand was amazing, so friendly, offering special, breakfast treats, and coffee, and making me feel completely comfortable . shame.

The vibes of this place were immaculate! The room was small but I didn’t mind. The hotel was very clean and quiet. They do not offer a lot of amenities but since I was only there for two nights, it was fine. Definitely in a great location, there were plenty of restaurants and shopping places within walking distance. I would stay here again.

The room was small but clean. Staff were friendly. The air conditioning did not work during our stay. The staff provided fans for the room, but we consider ourselves lucky that temperatures were unseasonably cool. Parking is ... well, it's Brooklyn; do your research. The thing is that the subway is very close by and the neighborhood has some nice little restaurants and bars.

Basic hotel in the heart of Brooklyn. Was fortunate enough to find street parking in front of the hotel, which was added bonus. Walls are paper thin as we could hear doors opening an closing throughout the night.
