The staff were friendly. The cottage we stayed in was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a good breakfast and enjoyed a roast dinner at the Restaurant. It is an easy drive to Camber sands beach and is within a reasonable distance from the town centre. We could easily walk to the town. Great place to stay in Rye.

Truly exceptional accommodation in glorious coastal East Sussex. Great hospitality and hearty breakfast daily, with unique pub setting for lunch and evening meals. Looking forward to my next stay, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks to all at The Kings Head Inn, Rye, East Sussex.

Have stayed many times before, we always have a laugh with the staff and breakfast is excellent. Will continue to go back.

Overall it wasn’t a bad stay however, the person checking us in was neither friendly nor welcoming. The shower in the lodge was leaking, and there was a big puddle of water in the bathroom when we first arrived. Also the hot water tap was scolding. The lodge was clean but lacked basic amenities such as hand wash in the kitchen. I understand it’s self-contained but these are little touches that make a difference.
