Manager can do better. As much as we paid for the rooms, the least they can do is offer breakfast. Have an exterminator spray more often than usual.

We have stayed in several Holiday Inn Express’s over the years and this I will have to say was the worst one. I will start with the pros. 1. The water in the shower had good pressure and was hot. 2. The room was clean. 3. The bed was comfortable. 4. AC worked good. 5. The breakfast options were good. 6. The biscuits & gravy were delicious. 7. The Staff was friendly. Now with the cons. 1. The look of the hotel was not the best. 2. There were several places on the walls that needed repair. 3. The walls in elevator were damaged. 4. Our tub did not drain the best. 5. The toilet did not flush unless you stood there a held the handle down and it may take 2-3 times before it would completely flush. 6. Our shower wall was cracked. 7. Shower curtain rod was very loose. 8. One side of the counter top in the bathroom was coming apart. 9. The staff was not dressed very professional. 10. They started breakfast at 7:00, but when we arrived at 815-8:30 they did not have the pancake machine ready. 11. They washed the driveway under the entryway awning, so that made muddy shoe prints on the floor and the floor was never mopped. I for sure try to find another hotel in Abilene next time we go. If I had to I would stay here, but only if I could not find another place.

The carpet was wet by the Air conditioner, the fridge has an awful smell. No sheets or comforter for fold out bed. Shower water was extremely hot. Wifi access was not clear so we didn't use it.
