First Hotel Viking

Love 24/7 coffee/tea and hot water at the lobby.

Booked two nights for two people. Room was very compact room and only enough space to hang 3 items but we really enjoyed our stay. Front foyer is really small - one family with two adult children completely fills the space - but there are other, lovely places to hang out nearby. I recommend the Ølhallen.

Very nice staff and service with great tips on the surrounding area. Great location and decent rooms. Don't miss out on the complimentary assortment of tea, coffee and cookies in the lobby. Also the free waffles in the late afternoon appeal to my Dutch heart!

As a solo traveler I found the hotel was in an excellent location. The main town was a 10 minute walk away, also the meeting place for most tours was again only a 10 minute walk. The room was spacious although there is limited space to put your belongings. The bathroom was plenty big enough with a walk in shower. The hotel offered unlimited tea and coffee although the water in the flasks was not always the hottest. Between 5 and 7 there was free waffles available which were made fresh with a waffle machine. I would recommend this hotel and if I returned to Tromso I would use this hotel again.

Veldig slitent rom og møbler, hull i veggen og døren. Lite rom og komfor for pengene. Ingen mulighet for frokost. Finnes kun resepsjon og ellers rom.

Greit hotell - men ikke særlig mye komfort :) Hyggelig med mulighet for å lage seg en vaffel og kaffe + Te er alltid tilgjengelig i lobbyen

Staff were excellent, couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. Nothing was a trouble for the staff and rooms were clean, comfy and warm

Rommet og senger, interiør ok. Savnet mange tv kanaler eks tv2. Luktet urin i hele badet, som også kom ut i rommet. Kommer ikke tilbake

Studio leilighet nærliggende til resepsjon og resten av hotellet. Ok str på rom og flott str på badet. Men vanskelig å få ned temperaturen i leiligheten. Noe ukomfortable senger. Ingen skapplass og en del støv/smuss på gulvet og flekkete kappelaken. Gjenglemte gjenstander etter tidligere gjester eller renholdere. Ødelagt lampe og ingen spiseplass til tross for mulighet til matlaging.

Отличный отель! Всё понравилось: чисто, полотенца меняли регулярно, персонал вежливый и отзывчивый. Кондиционера не заметил, но на севере он особо и не нужен — в номере было комфортно.

El servicio de limpieza indican que está incluido, pero es mentira, solo cambian las toallas. La habitación y baño sucios, no limpian el suelo, ni hacen cama, ni recogen la basura y si lo pides te dicen que la política del hotel es no limpiar. No lo recomiendo.

Quarto limpíssimo e aconchegante. Equipre extremamente atenciosa e pronta para ajudar a qualquer momento.

Du får hva du betaler for - hverken mer eller mindre. Hyggelig personale men særdeles dårlig lydisolering mellom rommene/etasjene.

Good value for money, the rooms are nice enough but lack basic amenities such as kettle, coffee, tea, bar area, bathroom shaving plug. The fridge in the room is available to use but doesn't actually cool things down. Wi-Fi is free but really bad, barely usable. There is coffee and tea available in the reception, and breakfast only available if you request it. Staff doesn't inform you about any of this. The rooms are in general badly soundproof, with a lot of noise from the street and neighbouring rooms coming through

Utmerket beliggenhet. God servise i resepsjonen. Men det er veldig lytt. Det føltes som om folk som sjekket ut på morgenen, pakket koffertene sine på rommet mitt i gangen.

Room was a little small. No coffee making facilities in the room. Free coffee in reception, but it wasn’t very hot.

The location is great. However the WiFi does not work in the room. The sound proofing is not good. You can hear sound from the street. Difficult to sleep.

Relativft ganske bra. Rommene og betjeningen er helt ok. "Men ganske lytt mellom rommene" Tror ikke det er lydfeller på ventilasjonsanlegget mellom rommene. Våknet kl 04:00 med at naborommet hadde seg.

I'll be honest about the good and the bad. The good: nice staff, location, comfortable bed, netflix. The bad: this hotel was cheaper in comparison to other hotels in Tromso, but by no means inexpensive. We still paid alot of money and the room we got was tiny, stuffy and claustrophobic, when I say tiny, I mean tiny, felt like we were in a closet. The bathroom was smaller than anything I've ever experienced, no counterspace and the tiny bowl sink was hard to use, water got everywhere when trying to wash my face. The shower consisted of two fold out doors in the corner of the tiny bathroom, there was barely space to move and take a normal shower, and water got all over the rest of the floor. You get what you pay for and in this case we realize we should have just paid a little bit more and stayed in a different property.

Bare engelskspråklige annsatte. Kjnne ikke hjelpe med et dødt tv. Kald kaffe på kannen i resepsjon om morgenen.

Had the worst experience here as a solo female traveler. And if i was the owner of the hotel would fire the staff. Just to let you know: I am a doctor in my home country. Chose this hotel because it looked decent for spending one night, and had single rooms available, but it was a very bad experience: - I tried to contact the hotel several times before arriving to know about parking. Never got a reply. When arrived there asked if there was any free parking around because I don’t mind to walk: actually I was driving all day, so walk a bit was just perfect at the time. The girl at the reception started laughing at me. Like: did I told any joke? I then asked for paying parking, an announced at the reservation website. They told that there were non available. 3 min later was still at the reception and they gave a parking spot to another guest. Right in front of me. Unbelievable this kind of service. - there is a lot of noise at the hotel. You will not sleep the entire night, listening all the doors closing and people talking on the hallways. - I was at the 4th floor and when I wanted to do the check out elevator was not working. So i started to walk down the stairs with all my luggage to discover that the cleaning lady was keeping the door of the elevator open, with the cleaning car, at the second floor. Just a note: the polish lady at the reception was very nice. And even tried to look for a parking spot to me. The other one was very rude and mocking the guests.

Veldig bra lite hotell midt i sentrum. Nær resturanger og butikker. Busstopp til flyplassen rett nedenfor.

Staff was great. Hotel is on a noisy street so bring ear plugs. Room was tiny but clean and comfortable. Good walkable area.

Great for sleep, but low quality bathroom and desk. Service was ok, however no breakfat in the hotel. I got two 15% tickets for a resturant.

We stayed one night. The bed was a little too small for two tall persons. And it was very warm in the room. Bathroom is ok and the overall size of the room is also ok. Staff is friendly. Free waffles and coffe / tea in the evening.
