The hotel has been going through updates since it changed hands a couple years ago. The floor I stayed on was updated and very comfortable. They started to renovate the third floor while I was there so there was a bit of noice. I was advised when I booked that this was happening. The noice was kept to working hours and it was not too bad. The area that you get breakfast needs to have an update done, it looks like it had some paint and wall paper done a bit ago but it needs a renovation as it is outdated. The restaurant/bar/coffee shop has a buffet /carvery but the menu does not meet the needs for vegetarian or Vegan without substitutions. The bar layout is chopped up a bit. We sat one night and we waited for 10 min and no wait staff came over as they did not know we were there so we moved to a different table so they could see us to get served . After 6pm a different menu is served as the buffet shuts down. The hotel has an amazing gym and pool area with steam and dry sauna. Overall the hotel and staff are amazing.

Clean and modern hotel. Reception and gym staff were superb. Gym was very good with absolute top-of-the-range equipment - specifically two Concept 2 Rowers and one of each of the Watt Bike models. One C2 was out of batteries but both were immaculately clean and well serviced (185 Max DF for those who know) - as were both WattBikes. Room was good with very good shower although hot water needs to be a little hotter for a safe wet shave. Large bed was firm and comfortable. Food was the only thing that let it down. Poor choice of vegetarian options and breakfast was limited (not even porridge) and quality not great (dry). Because of the gym, we would DEFINITELY stay again - although eat elsewhere for meals and breakfast.

Wonderful staff,lovely room but the heat on the 2ed floor was uncomfortable even with the Dyson fan. We had a lovely meal on our last nigh.Nachos to share followed by a steak and it was cooked to perfection and I had the Duck. Emily took our order and made sure we had a lovely evening.The hotel should be very proud of her on the team.live music was fabulous.

Room is exceptional and bed is very comfortable. USB charging capabilities. The hotel is beautiful and has sauna room that feels great for tight muscles (and pool + steam room). Good on site is really fantastic, but the staff themselves is what really made this place stand out, both at front desk and restaurant area. 💕

Very modern and very clean hotel. We didn’t have food but the food in the bar looked lovely. Lovely singer n the bar on the night we stayed- her name was Cheyanne Stewart- really engaged with the audience. Only negative was that the room was roasting even with window open and a fan in the room. We will definitely stay here again.

Good points - bed was comfortable, shower very hot and powerful, excellent internet speed. Bad points - no tea or coffee making facilities in room, windows open a crack, and room is very very hot. Bathroom floor tiles loose/broken. Toilet struggling to flush and sewage smell in bathroom. Dusty everything! All furniture old and marked, marked carpets. Television didn’t work! Remote control buttons had missing backs, so batteries just fell out. Couldn’t watch any tv! Tv is hooked up to a little internet thing, that didn’t work either. All just a bit old and tired and need a good clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Nicely presented room. Looked clean. Bathroom smelled of death. Told reception and was told someone would be up to check it out but no one came. Also water provided in the carton in the room, one was already half drunk. Nothing major but the reception desk couldn’t provide replacement.

I would not stay here again. The hotel is beautiful, parking is easy and free, staff were lovely, and the on-site restaurant was very nice. Our rooms were beautiful -- the only problem being that they were VERY hot. We stayed in early summer, and the high temperatures the days leading up to our stay were low-20s (as in, not a heat wave). But our first floor rooms felt like they were 30'C all night. The hotel rooms have no HVAC (no ventilation system; just radiator heating) and the window only opens 2". They gave us a small fan, which made it barely tolerable. The entire first floor was very warm. We were all miserable the next morning. It's a shame because the property is gorgeous.

Restaurant is good, but room cleanness was terrible. Rug was extremely dirty and bathroom not very clean (hairs found inside the shower). We also had an incident where around midnight a hotel employee opened the door of our room and tried to get in. Apparently it was a mistake as was trying to get in another room but these sort of event should not have happened. Manager did apologize but it was definitely a bad experience.

Angelika is an excellent, friendly and efficient receptionist. Our room was spacious and light. The bedroom furniture was old, brown, dated and had definitely seen better days. The bed was comfortable. There was an unpleasant aroma in the bathroom. It took a very long time for the hot water to come through to the basin in the evening, which wasted a lot of it. The food in the restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. On the first evening there was an experienced team of professional waiters, including a Manager, Dean, who is one of the best we've met. We had a lovely evening. On the second evening there was no apparent leadership and the waiters were inexperienced. Although they worked hard, they needed direction and the service was a shambles. From our arrival to the serving of the food took an hour. Our drinks didnt come, so we collected them from the bar ourselves. At breakfast, Geraldine was a professional, hard working and friendly supervisor. They were understaffed, but on both mornings she made sure the service ran well. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel. We appreciated that breakfast was served until 11 am at weekends and also the 12 noon checkout time.

Great hotel. Big minus Debs ball which I was told about but even though I was told about it & told I was in quiet room! I was kept awake as all the noise from the people underneath my window just outside the leisure center! Why tell me about it & tell me I would not be disturbed when I was. Also told the receptionist when checking out. Didn’t believe me & said the ball goers were not allowed outside!

Fantastic get away for 1 night, arrived late but was accommodated did check in. Bar is fab, music and pints were lovely, very romantic setting. Room was unnaturally hot but there is a fan provided, the bed was so comfy. The only feedback I’d give is the reception staff in person seemed very distracted and didn’t interact much with us. Over the phone and from the room they were very polite. We would definitely return.

The hotel is just outside of Clonmel. I stayed 5 nights because I was working during one week of my longer vacation and needed reliable internet. The desk staff were not terribly friendly. On a positive note, there are grocery, electronic, and pharmacy stores right next door to the hotel in a strip mall. The room and hotel were clean, but very basic. The maids were very efficient. The pillows emanated a horrible odor which I was told related to the fact that they were brand new feather pillows (they smelled like feces). They were quickly replaced with foam pillows when requested. There is no air conditioning. The window does open but there is no screen. The fan and TV remote did not work, but again the staff quickly addressed these issues. I did have to request that the coffee service be re-stocked each day. I scheduled an afternoon tea in the restaurant with family members and while the tea sandwiches/deserts were good, the service was terrible. It took quite awhile to even be served water- the waiter seemed to be ignoring us and I had to get up several times to request basic services from the bar tender who was the only person around. Our tea pot was never refilled, so we basically each had one cup.

Clean and modern hotel. Reception and gym staff were superb. Gym was very good with absolute top-of-the-range equipment - specifically two Concept 2 Rowers and one of each of the Watt Bike models. One C2 was out of batteries but both were immaculately clean and well serviced (185 Max DF for those who know) - as were both WattBikes. Room was good with very good shower although hot water needs to be a little hotter for a safe wet shave. Large bed was firm and comfortable. Food was the only thing that let it down. Poor choice of vegetarian options and breakfast was limited (not even porridge) and quality not great (dry). Because of the gym, we would DEFINITELY stay again - although eat elsewhere for meals and breakfast.

Wonderful staff,lovely room but the heat on the 2ed floor was uncomfortable even with the Dyson fan. We had a lovely meal on our last nigh.Nachos to share followed by a steak and it was cooked to perfection and I had the Duck. Emily took our order and made sure we had a lovely evening.The hotel should be very proud of her on the team.live music was fabulous.

Angelika is an excellent, friendly and efficient receptionist. Our room was spacious and light. The bedroom furniture was old, brown, dated and had definitely seen better days. The bed was comfortable. There was an unpleasant aroma in the bathroom. It took a very long time for the hot water to come through to the basin in the evening, which wasted a lot of it. The food in the restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. On the first evening there was an experienced team of professional waiters, including a Manager, Dean, who is one of the best we've met. We had a lovely evening. On the second evening there was no apparent leadership and the waiters were inexperienced. Although they worked hard, they needed direction and the service was a shambles. From our arrival to the serving of the food took an hour. Our drinks didnt come, so we collected them from the bar ourselves. At breakfast, Geraldine was a professional, hard working and friendly supervisor. They were understaffed, but on both mornings she made sure the service ran well. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel. We appreciated that breakfast was served until 11 am at weekends and also the 12 noon checkout time.

Vi hade bokat två likadana rum som kostade lika mycket. Men vi fick ett fint, fräscht och rent. Sen det andra rummet kändes gammalt. Var skitigt, fläckar överallt och kändes allmänt sunkigt. Det var fläckar på väggarna, golvet, möbler och till och med på lampskärmen. Båda rummen var varma och det enda som fanns var små bordsfläktar till hjälp. Hade båda rummen (som vi nu betalade lika mycket för) sett ut som det första hade de fått bästa betyg. Men nu gjorde det ju inte det.

We were on the 2nd floor room 212 and it was HOT. There was a little oscillating fan to use as the AC for the room. The lobby was ice cold only place on the property that has A/C. So just be prepared. Front desk ladies was short with me when I asked about and said I could upgrade to the Dyson room. Which has a Dyson fan. LOL

The staff let me check in slightly early on arrival which was welcomed. The room was comfortable and well appointed, including having the ability to screen cast to the TV from chrome devices - great for playing music. Due to the heat-wave at the time of my stay the room was the warm side, a function of the large picture window giving great views of the hills to the south of the town. On the plus side cold water was readily available from the filtered water dispenser by the lift, and a large rainfall shower also provided cooling when required. The breakfast buffet has an ample selection of hot and cold food whilst the lunchtime carvery served in the bar also leaves you feeling full for the rest of the day. If you are at a loss there is a Supervalu supermarket next door and other food options within the adjacent retail park.
