Grand Summit Hotel

the heated outdoor pool and hot tub were great, as was the dry sauna. The fitness center and locker rooms were well located and appointed. We didn't stay in what I'd call a fancy or luxurious room, but it had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, parking was easy, and the staff was helpful. I'd highly recommend the property.

We love staying here every year for the TMC. It’s clean, comfortable, and friendly. The pool is great! The restaurant in the hotel, however, is always a disappointment. Food is ok, but service is poor.

I was at the location for a convention. It is a good facility. Parking can be a problem if you arrive later because you may end up having to walk a bit. Other than that, I was pleased with the accommodations.

Loved the ski in ski out location and the daily ski check made things even easier.

This was my third stay at this hotel. It's a perfect place to do an overnight if you're interested in going to the falls in the area. The outdoor pool is huge, the hot tub is right next to the pool and large enough to feel like you aren't rubbing elbows with strangers, the ski hill and lift are in the back drop and there is a bar poolside for those who want a drink (I don't drink so I can't attest to the quality of drinks). The gym facility is really clean as well as the sauna. The restaurant in the hotel did not have the Sunday buffett like it has in the past. We had to order off a menu. The food was nicely presented but average tasting if you're a seasoned foodie. Overall, this is a really clean and quiet place that's centrally located to the area's activities of river swimming, hiking, Sunday River ski lift and shopping in Bethel.

Could use more parking. Also path behind hotel was pure mud. Could use rocks or boardwalk to ease getting to cars during warmer weather.

We hadn’t visited Grand Summit for a while, but upon our return improvements to the facility made our visit very enjoyable. In particular, the upgrade to the pool area with resurfacing and the addition of a new hot tub was a major improvement. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast in Camp was outstanding!!

Love this hotel; fitness center is wonderful: coffee in the lobby is hot. Staff is incredibly friendly.

The hotel was in a great location. Very nice property. We were disappointed that our room was overlooked and not cleaned while staying there. After being gone all day, we had to call the front desk and ask for new towels, coffee, etc.

We visited for the eclipse. Resort had transportation that made viewing fun and easily accessible. Restaurants were good. Clean rooms and knowledgeable staff. Overall enjoyable experience

Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Other items in the room appeared clean. Some people didn't realize they could control the air conditioner by pointing the small remote control at the air conditioner above the windows. Maybe make this info a bit clearer? Overall, I was very pleased with this facility.

The key system wasn’t working and we had to keep going to get new keys. At one point the front desk attendant got very frustrated with me and said she would come with me to make sure it wasn’t working. There were dirty plates left in the cabinets if the kitchenette which did not make us want to cook and take advantage of that feature. The heat was set on auto at 75.5 degrees and we slept with the door open the whole night. I usually am not one to complain but for as much as we spent on this room we were pretty disappointed.

Loud rooms quiet people yelling and walking. This was peek season so I get it but that’s why not an excellent stay

Great location for slopeside skiing. Camp, the restaurant in the bottom floor was not that great. Front desk staff was friendly and polite, but understaffed. Staff in general was very nice though. The rooms haven’t been updated in at least 30 years maybe 40, Refrigerator barely got cold, and the back burner on our stove did not work. In view of the amount of money we paid to stay slope slide on a holiday weekend, I thought that they would light the fire pit outback every night, but they did not. In fact, we were told that if we wanted it lit, we had to talk to rentals to actually pay for the firepit to be lit, Which again not that accommodating when you’re paying $350 a night for a room. There were no other festivities around the hotel and the fireworks occurring at Sunday River were not visible from the hotel Aside from that if you’re a beginner, The only way to get from the mountain to the rest of Sunday River is through a narrow, steep winding “green” that would be a blue if not a black anywhere else. Not exactly confidence, inspiring for the beginner that was with me. Heated pool was great, as were the hot tubs. There is a smoking area which is covered in front of the hotel but we were there were during a cold spell and it really would’ve been nice to have a heater lamp above that area the same way they have a heater lamp above the front entrance. That would’ve made my Sunday evening cigar much more enjoyable. Overall, I liked the place despite its shortcomings

Gorgeous property! Rooms were very spacious. There’s a sink inside the bathroom and outside, so multiple people can get ready at once. It was a great stopping point on the way to New Hampshire during our leaf peeping trip. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Queen Beds need new mattresses due to sinkage. Not firm enough for 2 people. Otherwise, everything else was good.

my friend had a very difficult time sleeping due to the blue wifi light over the bed. Also the air conditioner was extremely loud. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. no continental breakfast which was very annoying and breakfast menu was ridiculously expensive. It was hard to see all the conference guests served a lovely buffet while regular guests lacked those choices. Staff were great in the restaurant.

Went offseason mid-May…Beautiful mountainside setting with views of the slopes…large, rustic Montana styled hotel with wooden beams throughout…room was spacious with 2 large Queen beds, more lighting would be better in the room, bathroom was fine but could be updated, food quality and service there was excellent, very nice service at front desk…no complaints, a very good stay.

Staff was really friendly and helpful at check-in. Great amenities with easy access to the lift. Rooms were outdated but clean.

Outdated rooms

I have been staying here since it was first built. Location, location, location. The food a camp was good, service great. Checkin was fast, pleasant, simple. My only real criticism is it’s noisy, you hear toilets flushing. You could participate in your neighbors conversations through the walls and they close the bar at 9:00. This puts people back in the rooms early and they stay up and that creates noisy rooms. But location you can’t beat.

Liked the decor and the amenities. Swimming pool. Hot tub, sauna, gym restaurant and the staff were awesome. The rooms are pretty shabby. Lamps needed attention. Patio door didn't work. Just very dated in the bathrooms and the faucets did not function. Well. Need some TLC on the rooms.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff!

Did not give us the room we reserved and we had to wait 2 hrs to get a room even after arriving in time for check in . We boom 2 bed standard room but the gave us studio deluxe which had one bed and one sofa bed .

The hotel made it clear that because we used hotels.com we were given less amenities then regular customers. After a faulty air conditioner had us moving to another room, they emphasized they would have comped us but because we had a discount they would not do anything. This was our second move because they put us in a room with one bed so after taking all our belongings to the first room, we had to go back to the lobby to get a second room and then had to move again. I have never been made to feel like I was subpar simply for using hotels.com

Noise!! When parents let their children have full on races down the hallways at 9:45 pm, complete with 1, 2, 3 Go! and six kids pound twelve feet repeatedly down the hallway, I give a poor rating. When I mentioned this to management, they suggested I call them is the folowing night was the same. It was, called the desk only to receive no answer. For what I paid for the stay, you would expect a bit more of a response.

This is located in a ski- area and i was here in the off season. The hotel was conveniently located to several local pubs and restaurants. Family friendly but quiet i would visit again

Resort was great. Hotel room was mediocre. Hotel restaurants were fantastic though a bit pricey. Hotel lobby had nice fireplace to hang out at. Heated pool and hot tubs were clean. Ski in ski out was very convenient. Will return.

Amazing stay at Grand Summit. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. After hitting the slopes for Sunday River's "not really opening day" on Halloween the hot tub and sauna were a radical way to rejuvenate. The cuisine at the on site restaurant "Camp" was superb. Highly recommend the cheesy short rib fries.

The employees were all great. Rooms were spacious and average for a big mountain ski in/out. Restaurants are reservations only with zero flexibility. That’s unfortunate, they must lose a lot of money with half the hotel going out to eat. Will stay at a cozier inn about 8-10 miles down the road next time.

The dining room closed at 8 pm, a little early for our taste. The layout of the hotel included very long corridors, which would have been a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
