Likes: Great stay, no kids in sight which is awesome. The staff was attentive and courteous. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. Room was large and clean. Dislikes: Advertisement said 3 minute walk to beach, which is accurate... but the beach shore is filled with large boulders which makes it unsuitable for going into the water, let alone swim in it. The rooms have no TV's in them and the only ones at the hotel are at the poolside bar which did not have a bartender on duty. Also, the flooring around the pool gets very hot in the middle of the day, maybe some decking or heat deflecting coating would be helpful.

Excellent small hotel - quiet, comfortable, nice pool & spa. Friendly and helpful staff. It's a short walk from the beach but there are limited nearby options for food and drink. Staff are happy to order in and bring you the food. We enjoyed a few beers in the hot tub.

The Cove was an amazing place to stay! Staff were so friendly and easily answered any questions we had while we were there. Pool and hot tub were a great way to unwind and the poolside drinks and food were great. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into the design of the rooms and hotel, the look is gorgeous and the rainfall shower head was perfect! 5-7 minute walk to Manny’s for drinks/food/beach access and 20 minute drive to Wrecked at the Reef. Wouldn’t think twice about booking with them again!!

The Cove Hotel is a great little find! It’s new, and exceptionally clean and nice. What stands out most is the management and the staff. Unbelievably accommodating, always sincerely, friendly, and able to help you with absolutely anything you need. The location is interesting, just a few minute walk from the beach, although it’s not the nicest beach, it is long and connects to a few bars and restaurants. It is next to a big open lot, which is nice, but there is a hill past the open lot, which is a bit noisy as per usual Mexico, people without any mufflers. It’s not a constant noise so no problem. It feels very safe there. The pool and large hot tub without jets are gorgeous and clean and it’s a nice spot to relax in the loungers. The owners, Nora and JP are very communicative and accommodating and the day and night managers Andrea and Mauro will get your drinks from the bar, extra towels, and directions to the best bakery! Bonito, the maintenance man will help with luggage and anything else you need and the housekeeper was always so friendly and helpful too. As I said, the people working here are excellent! Being a country girl, the lighting there is very bright and beautiful, but made it difficult for me to sleep so they removed my patio lightbulbs! They went above and beyond, and I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying at Rocky Point!

A hidden gem! The staff were all pleasant, professional, and extremely helpful- I've not been genuinely treated better at 5-star accomodations in major cities. They proactively reached out prior to the trip and inquired off my needs daily. The unit was clean and smelled fantastic. There were an adequate amount of towels that smelled so good I wanted to bring them my home towels to process. The shower water pressure and temp were perfect. The king sized bed was super comfortable. The environmental unit kept the room temp to my liking. They provided a robe, access to room service for food, beverages, and alcohol. The sliding door to the room didn't lock, the property is on a dirt road amidst ruins, and the parking was unsecure, yet I felt perfectly safe. The beach, dive bars, and a bowling alley are in walking distance. There are stores and a full Walmart within a 3 to 7 minute drive. Finally, although the view is partially obstructed, the ocean could be seen from the unit balcony. Very nice heated pool and hot tub. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The price was great and there were no children as advertised.

I loved that the property is adults only. We stayed from Monday to Friday and it was quiet. The hotel didn't really fill up until Thursday. We were the only ones at the pool on Wednesday. Plus they have a snack menu and a bar at the pool. Will absolutely stay again.

I really enjoyed the glass tiled pool. It sparked in the sun. All of the staff were friendly and so helpful. The bar had a limited selection of hard alchol, which is understandable due to the size of the property. There is a Beach club in walking distance that serves great food and drinks with probably the best Chille Relleno I have had in years! There is no television in the hotel rooms.

From the moment I arrived after a tiring motorcycle ride, I was welcomed with nothing but smiles. Both from the lovely receptionist to the cleaning staff who made every effort possible to make my stay a great one. I particularly enjoyed my conversations with Nora (the owner) she is extremely personable and made every effort to ensure my stay was the best it could be. As for room and grounds they were all top notch you’d expect from a 5 star. The king size bed was very comfortable all fixtures are very modern and the walk-in/handicap shower included a rain style with option spray wand. Also extremely clean with perfect hot water. Mini fridge, Keurig, coffee maker, small working desk all made the room even better. Now to mention the pool and hot tub, perfect size for groups surrounded by the perfect amount of chairs and covered recliners which were all very clean and well maintained. Parking is not gated but Nora an John spent no expense to instal many outside lights and security cameras. In fact upon checking in I was told I could park on the concrete slab near the lobby entrance both under lights and cameras so I never had to worry about theft. All in all I had a very enjoyable stay, I personally have spent much time at the higher rated/cost hotels but never a better experience from a staff who is so devoted to ensure your happy and content I highly, highly recommend!!! Absolutely LOVE The Cove and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Immaculate rooms, comfortable beds, the grounds and pool area are beautiful, and the staff incredible. They truly care about the guests and their experience in Rocky Point. I noticed some reviewers have mentioned the lack of TVs in the rooms as a negative, and we actually enjoyed it. It allowed us more time to intentionally be present with one another and my husband brought his iPad so he could watch a game that was important to him. Finally, we love the adults only atmosphere. Rocky Point is a "family friendly" destination and children are lovely, but it's nice to have a quiet oasis that is adults only. Thank you for creating this wonderful retreat.

The rooms are super clean and well-maintained. It appears to be a newer property with a beautiful pool, hot-tub & outdoors bar area. The staff is super-friendly. For the price, you can't beat it!

This is a small, intimate hotel. The rooms surround a lovely pool with plenty of loungers around it. A poolside bar. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and pillows. Nice rain shower. Three towels which all women with long hair appreciate. Wash cloths which can be rare. Keurig coffee pot with 2 pods. The room and grounds are neat and clean. We will stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property. Everything was spotless and high quality. I was here at a slow time of year. It was very quiet. I can see this being a really fun place to hang out. It is not beachfront but the beach is not far away. The surrounding area isn’t beautiful but it felt safe. The employees are super friendly. I will definitely come back. It would be a fun place to bring a group of friends. It is not a destination resort but it is a great home base.

The staff is exceptional here, really nice and very accommodating to your needs. Only suggestion I have is they should put small TVs in the rooms, as of now no TVs.
The staff is exceptional here, really nice and very accommodating to your needs. Only suggestion I have is they should put small TVs in the rooms, as of now no TVs.

Todo fue increíble! El hotel es realmente nuevo. Cómodo, habitación amplia para 2 personas. Cama súper cómoda, cafetera 👌y refrigerador. El agua de la Regadera con una súper presión y agua realmente caliente 🙈 (No todos los hoteles tienen ese nivel y/o presión) Como saben, es hotel para adultos y eso es genial si no tienes hijos. Y por cierto, si eres fan de ver tv, no hay televisión. A nosotros no nos hizo falta.

The property was amazing. If I can make one recommendation to the owner to install some shades to keep the Sun out of the room in the morning. The curtains that are there are not sufficient. I was up at 5:30 in the morning I could not get to sleep. Other than that everything is amazing

The good news; it's a newer property, the pool, spa, pool chairs and pool surround is lovely and new. It's very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Not so good news; it's not near much of anything, the surrounding area is mostly dirt, the room is very small, no TV, one tiny chair at a tiny desk. The bathroom is huge, but the flooring throughout is super slippery when it's wet. I'm old, and don't need that kind of scary footing. I wish it was a better report, as the staff is lovely.

This is a small, intimate hotel. The rooms surround a lovely pool with plenty of loungers around it. A poolside bar. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and pillows. Nice rain shower. Three towels which all women with long hair appreciate. Wash cloths which can be rare. Keurig coffee pot with 2 pods. The room and grounds are neat and clean. We will stay here again.

The Concierge Victor was super helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the staff were all very friendly. Mannys beach club is a short walk away which made dinner and drinks with an ocean view a nightly occurrence. The only inconvenience was the floor above us was very creepy so anytime the people above us moved we heard it. Definitely was rough going to sleep and they woke us up bright and early. Thank goodness it was our last night there.

It is always a pleasure to stay at this place, the crew is very frinedly and ready to help any costumers with any need they might have, advising the best place to go anywhere from there safe & sane, they simply go extra miles for us, so THANK YOU ALL! The Cove Boutique Hotel was an excellent choice. The staff were friendly and responded to every request. Efram makes the best margaritas and the housekeepers keep the place immaculate. When I go back to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) I’ll be staying at The Cove Boutique Hotel. We spent two weeks there.

This place is sincerely great! They went above and beyond for our stay. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday and they were fantastic about decorating our room. We already booked again for October. All the staff was exceptional and excellent.

The Cove Hotel is a great little find! It’s new, and exceptionally clean and nice. What stands out most is the management and the staff. Unbelievably accommodating, always sincerely, friendly, and able to help you with absolutely anything you need. The location is interesting, just a few minute walk from the beach, although it’s not the nicest beach, it is long and connects to a few bars and restaurants. It is next to a big open lot, which is nice, but there is a hill past the open lot, which is a bit noisy as per usual Mexico, people without any mufflers. It’s not a constant noise so no problem. It feels very safe there. The pool and large hot tub without jets are gorgeous and clean and it’s a nice spot to relax in the loungers. The owners, Nora and JP are very communicative and accommodating and the day and night managers Andrea and Mauro will get your drinks from the bar, extra towels, and directions to the best bakery! Bonito, the maintenance man will help with luggage and anything else you need and the housekeeper was always so friendly and helpful too. As I said, the people working here are excellent! Being a country girl, the lighting there is very bright and beautiful, but made it difficult for me to sleep so they removed my patio lightbulbs! They went above and beyond, and I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying at Rocky Point!

This place is absolutely fabulous! The staff is above and beyond! They cater to your every need or questions! And if you want local recommendations for excursions or restaurants they are on top of it! Victor, Efran, Nora, John Paul, & entire staff were so gracious and accommodating the entire stay! Relaxing, friendly, quiet, and modern beach vibes! I can't wait to stay here again. I highly recommend! 10/10 5 stars!

From the moment I arrived after a tiring motorcycle ride, I was welcomed with nothing but smiles. Both from the lovely receptionist to the cleaning staff who made every effort possible to make my stay a great one. I particularly enjoyed my conversations with Nora (the owner) she is extremely personable and made every effort to ensure my stay was the best it could be. As for room and grounds they were all top notch you’d expect from a 5 star. The king size bed was very comfortable all fixtures are very modern and the walk-in/handicap shower included a rain style with option spray wand. Also extremely clean with perfect hot water. Mini fridge, Keurig, coffee maker, small working desk all made the room even better. Now to mention the pool and hot tub, perfect size for groups surrounded by the perfect amount of chairs and covered recliners which were all very clean and well maintained. Parking is not gated but Nora an John spent no expense to instal many outside lights and security cameras. In fact upon checking in I was told I could park on the concrete slab near the lobby entrance both under lights and cameras so I never had to worry about theft. All in all I had a very enjoyable stay, I personally have spent much time at the higher rated/cost hotels but never a better experience from a staff who is so devoted to ensure your happy and content I highly, highly recommend!!! So the property was absolutely amazing , clean , the rooms were beautiful, bigger than expected. The area around the property wasn't bad but not ideal for our activities, Bodagoes restraunt was top notch food , Manny's club was 3 minutes walking, but... If you have kids there isn't anything to do , the beach near Manny's bar is so so.. if you want more of the beach experience go with another resort in the more of the resort area , but if you want safe gated area controlled by the staff use this hotel it's peaceful in the resorts area gated area!

we went for Memorial weekend. I love the location of the hotel. Not to mention the hotel is very nice! you are walking distance from a lot of things. The staff was great. The drinks at the bar were great and not expensive at all.

Really nice hotel that is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom and showers were excellent. Pool was great when the tide was low. Mannys bar/beach is 1 block away. Convienent for food and drink and access to the beach when the tide is in. Beach was very clean and hospitable for everyone to enjoy.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property. Everything was spotless and high quality. I was here at a slow time of year. It was very quiet. I can see this being a really fun place to hang out. It is not beachfront but the beach is not far away. The surrounding area isn’t beautiful but it felt safe. The employees are super friendly. I will definitely come back. It would be a fun place to bring a group of friends. It is not a destination resort but it is a great home base.

The Cove was an amazing place to stay! Staff were so friendly and easily answered any questions we had while we were there. Pool and hot tub were a great way to unwind and the poolside drinks and food were great. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into the design of the rooms and hotel, the look is gorgeous and the rainfall shower head was perfect! 5-7 minute walk to Manny’s for drinks/food/beach access and 20 minute drive to Wrecked at the Reef. Wouldn’t think twice about booking with them again!!

I loved that the property is adults only. We stayed from Monday to Friday and it was quiet. The hotel didn't really fill up until Thursday. We were the only ones at the pool on Wednesday. Plus they have a snack menu and a bar at the pool. Will absolutely stay again.

I really enjoyed the glass tiled pool. It sparked in the sun. All of the staff were friendly and so helpful. The bar had a limited selection of hard alchol, which is understandable due to the size of the property. There is a Beach club in walking distance that serves great food and drinks with probably the best Chille Relleno I have had in years! There is no television in the hotel rooms.

Don\'t let the name conjur up adult fantasies. This property only allows adults to remove the distractions of our normal family life. There are no TV\'s or phones in the rooms for the same reason. We did not miss the TV during our stay. We instead, enjoyed each other, the beach, the pool, and talking with the other guests and staff. When you check in you are welcomed with a friendly helpful smile. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The first morning, I was standing outside the room having my coffee, and the owner, JP, walk up, greateed me and asked if I needed anything else or possibly more coffee. They will mix you your favorite drink and bring it to your room. There is also a limited but sufficient room service "snack" menu. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

Muy bien ubicada, el personal siempre atento y te recibe Nala una perrita que te lleva su tacita de café muy juguetona, la alberca genial muy limpia buen tamaño también la alberca de agua caliente muy relajante, en general el hotel está exelente en limpieza buenísimas camas bien insonorizadas las habitaciones, me gustó también que nos quedaban 2 restaurantes bar muy cerca de la propiedad uno caminando y el otro si en coche a 3 minutos, pregunten en la propiedad, tiendas de conveniencia en coche 3 minutos muy segura la zona y no hay bullicio de gente y autos y la playa está cómoda en la zona del segundo restaurante bar en coche.

This hotel is very cute and the owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The sea is an easy walk away, but not swimmable (too rocky). Further down the beach you could swim a bit, but you definitely need water shoes. There are a few restaurants/bars within walking distance, but not many.

This is place of great for adults only. Room was immaculate when arrived. Pool and hot tub are are right by the bar, so it made watching the games on TV way to do while enjoying the pool and tub. They set up massage tables one day during our stay also Staff was amazing, Mauro checked us in, and helped us to our room. He is 100% on top of what you need. This was our first trip to Puerto Peñasco, and when we asked of places to eat his recommendations were spot on what we wanted. Andrea was very friendly and courteous, she even caught somebody on the phone saying they were me, and quickly called my phone number only to find out it was not me. She advised as care not to be scammed. These two employees are great and a huge asset to The Cove Boutique Hotel. This review comes from a person who spent 35 plus years in the customer service industry ( hotel and entertainment). I highly recommend The Cove Boutique Hotel if you are wanting to visit Puerto Peñasco and want a quiet time without many young loud guest. Great job Mauro and Andrea.......
