Econo Lodge Gretna - New Orleans

Power went out for 5 hours during day and the parking is horrible.

It had coffee but no coffee pot when asked was told they didn't have one. We had 5 nights booked Sept 7, 2024, thru Wept 12, 2024. On the 3rd night found out Hurricane was coming in. We decided that we should leave while we could travel and not get caught in evacuation routes back to Kentucky. We called the service desk and told them we were leaving because of the incoming hurricane. We asked for a refund for the 2 nights we weren't staying. She told us no refund, if they refunded ours, they would have to refund the others also. I told her this would be the last time we would ever stay there. We got up early on Tuesday morning to leave for our home Kentucky. We left key in motel. Will never stay at a Econo Lodge ever again, anywhere, any state because of this happening. We purchased the insurance, but we know it was an event that was out of our control. We could not stay with a hurricane moving in. I'm sorry for filing a complaint but I think it's very unfair to not refund 2 nights because of what was happening. James & Barbra Priddy Leitchfield, Ky 270-287-7133

You get what you pay for. Cheap hotel, but having cigarette burins in the sheets was a surprise… thought we were booking a no smoking room… the TV was not working either, but I didn’t bother asking the staff to see if there was a solution.

So much was wrong. The room was clean as it should be. The sink was disgusting and there was dust everywhere. The toilet started back up, which was disgusting. I notified the front desk who were quick about fixing it meanwhile my husband had to go to McDonald's to use the bathroom. Come back hours later and there's no running water. This place was horrible, something off of a movie. I thought it was a prank at first but that what my husband gets for being cheap. I wouldn't recommend for animals.

The stay qas great. The only thing parkin was congested.

Shower was clogged, there was a television but dis not work. When i called front desk they said it was a wifi issue and that there wasn’t gonna be any tv. As someone who likes to wind down feom a busy day tv is a comfort.

Came down to Louisiana two days before our cruise and this location was very convenient being just 8 minutes from the cruise terminal. Room was clean and we had an easy check-in. Only thing I disliked is there is no coffee Maker in the rooms you have to walk across the parking lot to the main lobby entrance. That was a minor inconvenience though.

It was decent. There was hair in the bathtub so that freaked me out a bit. Probably wouldn't stay here again but it's good if you just need somewhere to crash for a night for a cheap price.

The sheets were dirty. The chair was stained. I had a large group of four rooms. Two were so cold the guests slept fully dressed. One had a gap between the door and the frame, so all the cold air and noise came in. Lots of questionable characters hanging around.

Room had roaches, smelled like mold and mildew in shower

It was terrible the room smell of mold. The toilet was coming off the wall. There were bugs in the bathroom. Crack beads and meth heads all around. It was disgraceful. Not even worth the price. It was so dark a gloomy I. That room and the air conditioning leak moldy water out side the room door. O. And you can see outside through you door. It was a nightmare

Roaches, roaches, roaches!

The quality inside the room was bad.. i found roaches too there. Floor was not clean. It was sticky.

Spots and hairs on towels and sheets

This was the worst place we have ever stayed. Can not believe Expedia books for them. We made reservations several months in advance. Drove 12 hrs to get there, to be told they didn’t have our rooms. That the people before us stayed over. Ended up being up into rooms that were no where near what we paid for. I had to take pics to believe what we walked into. The walls didn’t meet the ceiling and the tiles of the ceiling looked like they were bout to fall in. The bathroom was even worse. And to top it all of there were roaches everywhere. Like I said I have pics.

Room was filthy dirty. Bed had hair on it. Tub was all rusted on the bottom. Shower curtain had blood stain. Terrible experience. Originally had a three day reservation I canceled two, had to stay one night, did not had where to stay then. Not recommend. Inexpensive doesn’t mean it has to be filthy dirty!

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. When we checked in the front desk clerk couldn’t be bothered to stop talking to on her cell phone.The entire property is poorly maintained. We were greeted by not one but two dying roaches. The towels are so thin as to be non existent and the room was hot and stuffy.

Properly is very old and while kept together, it was obvious that it was done so with "paint and a promise". The ceiling tiles in the room appeared to be falling in and were bowed in. The ironing board was soaking wet from the leaking iron left on it. The bed was suspect, but fortunately, the mattress was inside of a plastic case. We literally slept on top of the covers. The front desk staff were friendly and responded well to a operational issue (TV remote control) and was the highlight of the stay. All in all, it barely met the 3-star rating it had before arrival. It DID meet the low-cost criteria set before making the reservation.

The staff here is absolutely amazing they are super nice and helpful the water is hot the water pressures good the bed and pillows are just right in my opinion

The hotel and its accommodations are out dated. I arrived to the area a bit early and stopped by the hotel to see if early check in was possible. Unfortunately it was not as check in time was at 3:00pm. I was asked to come back after 3pm, so I did at 3:45pm. They still didn’t have anything ready and asked that I wait 2 hours for a room to be ready, so I waited. Almost 6pm when a room was finally ready. I had booked two rooms for myself and family with two double beds in each for two nights. Getting the rooms and only one room was ready with two beds and the other was a room with one king bed. They would be able to move us into a room with two beds for our other night. Not cool. But we decided to make the best of what was available because we had been traveling and were tired. The king room had these plastic dollar store bags as lamp covers, a ceiling tile was missing, the T.V didn’t work and the bed was broken. I go down to the office to let them know and they send maintenance to fix the problems. The T.V was just out , he replaced a ceiling tile, and tried to fix the bed with a brick and was still unsuccessful. We changed rooms to one with another king bed and that one was subpar yet we were able to salvage our stay in that room. Being that we were family we didn’t mind sharing a bed. The room with two beds was also subpar but we made it work as most of the hotels in the area were fully booked.

The property was pretty much as advertised. Stayed 2 nights there was no house keeping between the nights. Way too much noise at night, horns blowing, dogs barking, moving furniture above us. It said that they had a breakfast, coffee only is not breakfast.

It was good. It was close to a lot of places I needed to go to. There was a lot of nice restaurants around. The bad thing was that it was a little dirty, didn’t have a vent in the bathroom, and the door wasn’t properly placed which allowed a lot of noise into the room.

Amazing place rooms beds and pillows comfortable places to eat all around hot showers 10/10 spend your nights here

Did not look like the pictures. It was actually a gross run down motel.

I was given a double room although the facility was pretty empty. I’m traveling alone so the double room was no benefit to me with smaller beds. The photos of the rooms need to be updated as they are highly deceiving. The room was extremely hot and took hours to cool down, the sheets smelled and there were flies in the room.

The main door needs to be closed tighter, big gap

It's looks nice in da inside and out but the staff at da front desk was rude and mean didn't like her attitude but other than dat me and my husband stay was excellent

The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Very pleasant.

Overbooked location and cancelled peoples reservations without telling them before or after they did it. Got there late at night and they told us it was cancelled but did not say why. Expedia called them to find out why and they said overbooking. Had to find another hotel fast.

We booked a room 2 months in advance. Arrive to check in and they state that the room has been canceled, but it was still showing on the expedia app as booked. I asked the owner who was checking us in if there were any other rooms available (tswift was in town and limited lodging available) and he stated he had to see if anyone canceled. he then told me yes they had a room, but it would be double the price we originally booked for. 10 hours from home with nowhere else to stay, we agreed to the room even if they wouldn’t give us the original price. a minute later i got a notification on expedia that our reservation had been canceled. the whole situation was suspicious. other than that, the room had clean linen. but walls are paper thin and not the nicest part of town.

Great little hotel to stay in the rooms were clean close to down town New Orleans. The staff is amazing Candy the front desk attendant was so helpfull kind and friendly made my stay very enjoyable. Its great to have such awesome staff to make you feel welcome to the area!! Had really good conversation with her.

My sister and I booked a room here for the Eras Tour and found out day of stay they had bumped us. We received no notification from the hotel. We called to confirm and that’s how we found out that we did not have a room. The lady I spoke to was rude and unhelpful.

DO NOT STAY HERE. stayed here for two days for the Taylor Swift concert and immediately the staff was so rude. They told me that they never got paid from Expedia, which was a lie so she charged me twice. the rooms reeked of Pine-Sol to the point where it would make you seriously nauseous. There was weird goo on the wall and cockroaches in the bathroom, and I do have video. the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain and the toilet would randomly stop flushing. The worst of it all was the smell of Pine-sol. It was so humid in the room and smelled like a basement. I had chest congestion for a week after staying there. Still trying to get it figured out to get my money back from being charged twice. It almost seems like the front desk was looking to make extra money claiming that Expedia never paid them.

Great spot with a lot of amenities around it. Food, Walgreens and mall!

Great room clean place great location

The staff was friendly. The room was clean & the bed was fairly comfortable. The place is a little run down, but you can tell they are trying to renovate it. It was a quiet weekend considering the motel is next to a busy expressway. The room felt a little damp for some reason.

Awful location next to highway. Bad area. Although rooms look decent online you get exactly what you pay form. Room was awful.

This property would have potential if they painted the rooms and replaced the stained chairs. The location was great, it was within a bus station.
