We had the best time at Royalton Splash Punta Cana! The waterslides were amazing super fun for both kids and adults, we could’ve spent all day there. The food was delicious with so many choices, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling and making sure we had everything. The whole resort was clean, and just a huge party! Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing getaway with great food and service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Its a nice place. There are a few things that I didnt like. One was our main issue, They make you download their app to use for rsvping to get into the restaurants. If you are not a diamond member you wont get into most of the restaurants they have. And the restaurants you do get to pick from you cant because they are already booked. They tell you you can book around 4:30 but in our case it was never available. Then they told us to book around 6. And of course that didnt work either. So when we did get a chance to rsvp, the only times we could get in is at 9 or 9:45pm. So we didnt have a choice but to eat at the buffet. Which wasnt bad. But we wanted to try the 4 restaurants that we were allowed at without having to pay extra. And the extra is $50per person and kids were $20 per kid. Which if we are paying $6000 to stay there we should have access to all restaurants. Next is the water park. Its only open from 9am to 4pm. One more thing was our bath towels in the room. One day the maids made us a swan out of a towel. Which was cool. Once I undid the towel I noticed it was our used towels! I only know this because my hair dye was on that towel from taking a shower.

The water park was wonderful for the kids, nice selection of food and staff was great. The property is getting pretty tired, lots of broken tile and the bathroom shower wasn’t ideal but staff fixed issues quickly. The big issue would be the sickness, 3 out of 5 of us got very Ill and are still dealing with the aftermath of it. Even being careful we got incredibly sick so keep that in mind when booking. Amarlys was a fantastic butler, she helped us with transportation issues and general bookings around the resort. Overall It was a fun experience but with how sick we are I’m not sure I would go back.

Over all it was a great vacation. We attended a wedding at the Royalton ( resort right at the ocean). The beach was amazing but it definitely is a walk away.. The water slides were amazing to say the least! They were for sure a highlight to our vacation. We had the pleasure of dinning at Jade (great food and amazing service!!) we did have some troubles securing an A LA CART online... I recommend getting a butler so you don't have to worry about getting into a restaurant. The buffet was decent.. Seems silly but its kinda hard to find coffe cups and to simply get a glass of water during the day time. Dinner at the buffet was great and we have no complaints there. The entertainment staff was AWESOME!! Shout out to *Black Coffee* his nickname not ours lol.. JEFFFF loved every minute of it! ***We hope you still have his sticker!!*** Foam party was a HIT, unfortunately it did rain half way through... I would recommend the staff to tell their guest to stay off the platform to insure that the foam makes it into the pool... Get some leaf blowers out there to move the foam around so the others in the back can also enjoy the party without having to be in the thick of it.. For the rooms with walk out levels to the main pools.. some lawn chairs would be great! The main pools definitely need MORE UMBRELLAS. 2 per chair if I'm being honest.. The sun is STRONG and a little shade if needed would go a long way so you don't have to leave and go to your room.

Overall I was pleased with the resort. The rooms were very clean and impressive. There were a few minor issues. I was in room 29-224. The door lock didn't work. The snacks and mini fridge were not restocked every day like we were told. The selection of restaurants was very good. And the variety of activities was appreciated. We liked that the pools and the water park were not overcrowded. However, the water park needs more tubes to prevent waiting in line for some of the slides. The beach cabanas were impressive and our server that day, Maria, was absolutely awesome. One of the best parts of our vacation week was having our butler, Daniel, who took excellent care of us. He was always responsive to our needs and inquiries and was an immense help in booking excursions and our dinners. We did find it difficult at times to get good information on what was included with our Diamond Club status and also what was available within the resort. An example was when I ordered a beer while having dinner at Hunters Steak House and was told that there would be an additional charge. I thought drinks were included anywhere in the resort.

El bar de la piscina Punta cana no les gustas que le pidas nada, principalmente un chico moreno alto que ni siquiera usa placa con su nombre para que no lo identifiquen cuando habla y trata mal a los huéspedes. Amazing resort for families, has many pools, beach and waterpark. Food options are plentiful and there is always a snack bar and sports bar option for picky eaters. Staff is amazing and always accommodating, beans coffee is the best and the entertainment staff - JJ, Mickaela, Balky, Luis, Miguel, Yaby are all great. Bar and wat staff at the splash pool are awesome - Ernesto, Elby, and Maria! You will love it here for sure. Its super safe for kids and a family resort.

This property should be stripped of its Marriott name and stars. This hotel, that is marketed as a 5-star resort, is less than 2 at best. Extremely dirty (the staff washes the floor at night using buckets of pool water), there are leaking holes in every ceiling, including the dining hall, where they use buckets of water and dirty towels to absorb the water next to where they cook your food. We found bugs in our food on several occasions and cockroaches in our room. When we complained to head office their reply was “we recommend you deal with your resort staff”, who was equally unhelpful.

What I liked about the property was the waterpark. The many nearby bars to grab a beverage. There’s two main buffets one of which is better then the other and that is the one located closest to the beach. Now what I dislike is how run down the rooms are. There was giant cockroaches in my room. And I paid for a luxury deluxe room and it was far from luxury smelt like dirty water pipes. Thankfully, I didn’t do one week here I stayed for two nights and I wouldn’t go back. 2.5 out of 5

The property itself is beautiful. But there are no elevators, each building it has consists of 3 floors. They saw me check in with a stroller and still put us on the third floor. A whole week going up and down with the stroller plus our bags was very inconvenient and not baby friendly. The water in our room shut off, TWICE! Very annoying when you’re trying to shower to get ready for dinner. All of the restaurants should be included, I had to pay a total $340 to eat at 2 restaurants that aren’t included in my room, just because we aren’t diamond And last but not least, the pressure to make you join their vacation club, Prime travelers club, is ridiculous. Waste of 2 hours of our time on our last day. Anyways, would we return here; yeah, but eh. It would have to cost more because we’d have to get diamond

We originally booked to stay at the Royalton Splash and had to change our stay to Royalton Punta Cana. The rooms at the Splash were terrible, mold, dust, bugs, outdated, etc. The waterpark was closed for 2 days and the smaller children waterpark was completely closed for renovations. We switched over to Royalton Punta Cana and that was a complete different story. Beautiful and renovated. Glad we were able to make the switch!

The property and the facilities were well-mantained. I could see the staff making sure that everything was neat every morning. This is great. What we didn't like in terms of property was that the shower in our room only had one static glass panel covering it. This was inconvenient as we had to clean the floor outside of the shower every time we showered or we had to be extremely careful not to make a mess outside of the half-space within a small shower.

Could never get clean pool towels. Room freezing, thermostat did not change the temperature in the room. Food at breakfast buffet, unless you got eggs, was always cold and out of staples ie. Syrup, bacon. Same buffet options for dinner over and over. Restaurant reservation system was horrible and none of the staff could explain when reservations opened for the next day. Entertainment limited.

Food was ok. Rooms were amazing. Butlers were great. Drinks were watery. Internet was good. Everything was good walking distance for the most part. Transport available if needed. Fun all white party. Music by the pool was good. Unfortunately not a good rating because MOST of the staff apart from the butlers, and guest services, were extremely dismissive unless if you offered them a tip or if you spoke their language which I do. They would barely acknowledge you at the pool bar and take a while to attend. And in the restaurants some were dismissive as though to make it known that they force to deal with you, not that they want to. But the staff in the entrance, the butlers and those attending to the poolside/beachside cabanas were amazing.

I wasn’t expecting this to go so bad. Since I arrived. The check in took 2 hrs. The main lobby is under construction and they are using a smaller area to attend everyone. The first thing I noticed is that they made me walk through the wet floor as they were moping. 2 ladies fell as I got into the line. The room was ready but when we arrived it smelled really bad. They weren’t clean. The sealing had dust bunnies hanging. The service at the buffet just to get a table or a cup of water from the server was an issue. The food wasn’t replaced. During breakfast they denied me entry because I needed a tshirt, but once I came back the rule was just for a few others had their bathing suit top without issues. I contacted Customer Service and notified them of my many issues. They tried cleaning the room better and it smelled nicer. The Manager tried their best to make our experience better. They decorated our room and gave us a dinner on another resort. Next morning the room stank again. I believe the service is the result of low staff and bad management. You could hear the staff complain. To get an attendant to help with the luggage on check out was another issue. I called 3 times and still no one answer. 2 nights 10 people in total and no one had a good a experience. The pool area was nice the water park was nice.

This has been my worst hotel experience in my life.....I arrived at the proper time around 3 pm and the hotel had me waiting until 630pm. on that matter i asked for a late check which i was given....but when i arrived to my hotel room my bag were not in my room and my girlfriend went to take a shower and the fire alarm in my room starting ringing very laud, i called for help and no one came so i went to the lobby to complain. they took 1 hour to fix the problem sending 5 people to the room while my couple was very uncomfortable of having 5 men looking at her and she couldn't change because our bags were not sent until the end......so finally at 715pm i finally get settle in my room. The hotel acted on this and offer me upgraded dinner and upgraded room. which this was totally fine until the next day when i get my room after dinner....i get a non functioning key that never worked, i had to go several times to the lobby making me loose more time. also they never sent the bags again...so again i had to wait 30 more mins and to top that the room smelled like tabacco and the mini fridge empty and when i call asking to send water and beer they denied sending it....in a all inclusive hotel they simply dont care......by far the worst costumer service of all time... they simple dont care about their guest....by the way the key never worked until 1 hour before check out...i was at the mercy of the employees around to open my room.

This was my second time staying here. First time was 8 years ago and it was great. This time we found the hotel quite disorganized, with poor service in general -with a couple of exceptions, of course. The reservation of restaurants is almost impossible, it seems like they make it so difficult so they can sell you the ‘upgraded’ restaurants (steakhouse and other) or to become a Diamond Club which is totally a scam. You will find also some members of the staff basically asking for a bribe to ‘help’ you with reservations. We were very disappointed with that. Sargassum was all over Punta Cana but the hotel did a good job keeping it as clean as possible. The beach bar by the Jade had terrible service except one guy that was ok (make sure to bring a tip or you will get nothing). In general you can tell there is a management problem and also not good conditions for the staff of the hotel (it’s inhuman not to have ceiling fans in the lobby, restaurants, and other areas where the heat is unbearable for the staff. Also the uniforms should be more suit for the heat- i.e., no long sleeves or leggings). Hope they improve service because they do have a nice infrastructure.

Nice resort but for the price, it’s not worth it. The staff were pretty bad when it came to service. I travel to many resorts and always received 5 star customer service, this was pretty bad. I also had the diamond club suite and still had bad service. The butler was cool but overworked.

Nuestra experiencia en este hotel fue regular. Hubo aspectos muy positivos, pero también situaciones que afectaron nuestra estadía. Al llegar, nos asignaron una habitación en el tercer piso, a pesar de que viajábamos con una persona mayor, dos niños pequeños. Aunque finalmente nos reubicaron en primer piso, el proceso fue incómodo y generó un mal momento al inicio. Las habitaciones están limpias y en buen estado, aunque se sienten un poco antiguas. El personal de limpieza hizo un excelente trabajo durante toda la estadía; siempre muy atentos y las habitaciones mantenían un aroma agradable. Las piscinas y el parque acuático son hermosos y están muy bien cuidados. La playa es bonita y el servicio en esa área fue excelente: los saloneros fueron muy atentos. En el restaurante, el servicio fue inconsistente. Notamos que los huéspedes europeos recibían mejor atención, mientras que a los latinos —incluyendo dominicanos— el servicio era más lento y menos cordial. Las bebidas tardaban bastante y el menú, aunque bueno, resultó limitado. Además, varios platos ofrecidos no estaban disponibles durante nuestra visita. El servicio de carritos internos suele ser útil, pero en algunos momentos no había personal disponible, lo que complicó la movilidad dentro del hotel. We had a wonderful vacation, and the vast majority of it, was thanks to our Butler, Ernesto! He also, really went above and beyond to help my daughter's 21st birthday, special and memorable. Any reservations for dinner, recommendations for excursions, and anything in the welcome Diamond Package the hotel left out, he made sure we did receive. Ernesto had the best customer service experience one could offer. Very prompt with response and professional. Going into the buffet, the female staff at the front desk would argue our clothes were wet, even though they weren't, they said I couldn't enter with a red halter top swim piece and a high waisted red skirt cover up. Although it's a beach look that's appropriate for a buffet AT THE BEACH. The food itself was always the same IF, it was open and there was actually food in the trays and not empty. The Bella Cucina was the absolute worst, just don't go there. The Teppanyaki was the absolute best though!!! We actually went twice!! So fun and food was delicious!! If it wasn't for Ernesto, I probably would've rated the overall experience lower. A lot of the staff were really rude and unhappy looking. I would highly suggest stay at the sister resort on the same property, not Splash. Splash was so amazing for the water park though!! Our girls 13 and 11, and even us adults had so much fun!! No alcohol served in there, but it was definitely fun!! Overall one and done, but again thanks to Ernesto, we had a wonderful time!!

The best thing about this hotel is absolutely the staff!! The hotel had its hiccups, for example, check in was horrid. Getting dinner reservations at the specialty restaurants was impossible and the hotel is NOT oceanfront like it says it is. Royalton punta cana, the partner hotel, is. You had to take a trolley which was not a huge deal but u went under the impression that it was oceanfront which was not. Keep this in mind if like me your prefer this. Back to the best part of the trip, the way the staff is just amazing! Victor was our concierge and he went above and beyond daily to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Victor was just truly the best part of our trip. Willy at the swim up bar was fantastic and always had a smile on his face.

Very small space for reception of guests for entry and exit. The reception staff does not inform about the additional charges and do not stop to explain the amenities and use of the facilities. Little or no security control to avoid excessive noise from drunk guests at night to sleep. Few places open to eat and they did not have updated information in the app for restaurant reservations and almost all closed when you walked so much to find it. To move from one place to another it took more than 20 minutes for the transport to pass and when it was full you had to wait another 20 minutes, it was more the wait to move from one place to another than the moment of enjoyment. There was construction work everywhere. They had to change my room because I could not sleep due to excessive noise and then very loud music. In the rooms neither in the 1st nor 2nd that they transferred me this after informing that I would look for the manager since they did not want to change my room. They didn't put the mini bar in. I had to go out twice to get water and say that the room was empty. I had an exceptional time with Jenny, the food and beverage supervisor, and the waiter Juan, who is called Russian, in the Mexican restaurant. They were the ones who saved me from the disaster that happened.

We were pleased with our room and the option to access the pools and most of the facilities at Royalton Punta Cana. Other comments had us worried about the resort being rundown or the staff being unfriendly or unhelpful…none of this is true. If you are looking for a family vacation, this is a good place. The Splash side is quieter but still has activities and some entertainment. The nightlife ends around 9pm, so if you have children who need to sleep, this is ideal. The waterpark was added entertainment and never had long lines or no seats available. I found booking for restaurant reservations on the app annoying and was told by front desk you could only do so for the next night starting at 6pm, when in fact some of the locations (including the Italian and Mexican) posted booking options at 5pm so if you waited until 6, you could only get a 9pm reservation. Overall an enjoyable experience…bonus, there are amusing birds, turtles and iguanas on the property!

Its a nice place. There are a few things that I didnt like. One was our main issue, They make you download their app to use for rsvping to get into the restaurants. If you are not a diamond member you wont get into most of the restaurants they have. And the restaurants you do get to pick from you cant because they are already booked. They tell you you can book around 4:30 but in our case it was never available. Then they told us to book around 6. And of course that didnt work either. So when we did get a chance to rsvp, the only times we could get in is at 9 or 9:45pm. So we didnt have a choice but to eat at the buffet. Which wasnt bad. But we wanted to try the 4 restaurants that we were allowed at without having to pay extra. And the extra is $50per person and kids were $20 per kid. Which if we are paying $6000 to stay there we should have access to all restaurants. Next is the water park. Its only open from 9am to 4pm. One more thing was our bath towels in the room. One day the maids made us a swan out of a towel. Which was cool. Once I undid the towel I noticed it was our used towels! I only know this because my hair dye was on that towel from taking a shower.

This hotel is not located on a beach so if this is a deal breaker do not book. You have to take a trolley to the neighboring report, Royalton Punta Cana, in order to access the beach. You do not have access to the neighboring resort restaurants so you would need to take a trolley ride back to Royalton Splash for meals and snacks. Also they will offer you a welcome breakfast. This breakfast is a 90 min presentation to try and sell you on future Royalton vacations. Save yourself the trouble and spend the additional money and just book Royalton Punta Cana. This gives you access to the Splash Waterpark in addition to direct beach access.

Loved that punta Cana splash is an all inclusive with great entertainment for the kids near to the airport Disliked that the the majority of staff are not hospitable for working in an industry where you are supposed to be friendly. They didn’t care. Check in was a disaster. I commented previously that guests should be called when room ready and not have to wait in a line every time we needed to check on room status. Room near the nightly entertainment so I was kept awake after 10:30 every night. The room is worn especially the bathroom. Water park closed for a day. No signage that it would be unavailable that day. Overall it was a sunny vacation. But I would not be returning to this property

Basert på vår erfaring med ett 5 dagers besøk, dette er en veldig bra resort! Ja kanskje ikke den aller mest fantastiske bufferen, men god variasjon i utvalg. Hyggelige ansatte (som alle snakker engelsk) God stemning, fine bassengområde, bra rom og en super seng! Daglig rengjøring og påfyll i minibaren. Og med unntak av en lunch der det tok 25 min før vi fikk noe å drikke, så var servicen helt grei. Denne resorten ligger ganske langt fra vannet, men man har full tilgang til den som ligger på stranden.(med unntak av restaurantene) men alle barer og solsenger osv kan man fint bruke. Det tar ca 10-15 min å gå mellom resorten i gjennom et veldig hyggelig område med både fugler, skilpadder og maravaner. Om man ikke vil gå kan man ta transporten som går mellom resorten. Vi skal definitivt tilbake hit igjen, men neste gang blir det nok på resorten som ligger nærmest stranden.

Over all it was a great vacation. We attended a wedding at the Royalton ( resort right at the ocean). The beach was amazing but it definitely is a walk away.. The water slides were amazing to say the least! They were for sure a highlight to our vacation. We had the pleasure of dinning at Jade (great food and amazing service!!) we did have some troubles securing an A LA CART online... I recommend getting a butler so you don't have to worry about getting into a restaurant. The buffet was decent.. Seems silly but its kinda hard to find coffe cups and to simply get a glass of water during the day time. Dinner at the buffet was great and we have no complaints there. The entertainment staff was AWESOME!! Shout out to *Black Coffee* his nickname not ours lol.. JEFFFF loved every minute of it! ***We hope you still have his sticker!!*** Foam party was a HIT, unfortunately it did rain half way through... I would recommend the staff to tell their guest to stay off the platform to insure that the foam makes it into the pool... Get some leaf blowers out there to move the foam around so the others in the back can also enjoy the party without having to be in the thick of it.. For the rooms with walk out levels to the main pools.. some lawn chairs would be great! The main pools definitely need MORE UMBRELLAS. 2 per chair if I'm being honest.. The sun is STRONG and a little shade if needed would go a long way so you don't have to leave and go to your room.

I would never go to a Royalton again. There was a cockroach in our shower which we kept contained underneath a glass. The rooms were damp no matter how low we had the AC set. It was impossible to get dinner reservations. The buffet food was repetitive and disgusting

This was my second time staying here. First time was 8 years ago and it was great. This time we found the hotel quite disorganized, with poor service in general -with a couple of exceptions, of course. The reservation of restaurants is almost impossible, it seems like they make it so difficult so they can sell you the ‘upgraded’ restaurants (steakhouse and other) or to become a Diamond Club which is totally a scam. You will find also some members of the staff basically asking for a bribe to ‘help’ you with reservations. We were very disappointed with that. Sargassum was all over Punta Cana but the hotel did a good job keeping it as clean as possible. The beach bar by the Jade had terrible service except one guy that was ok (make sure to bring a tip or you will get nothing). In general you can tell there is a management problem and also not good conditions for the staff of the hotel (it’s inhuman not to have ceiling fans in the lobby, restaurants, and other areas where the heat is unbearable for the staff. Also the uniforms should be more suit for the heat- i.e., no long sleeves or leggings). Hope they improve service because they do have a nice infrastructure.

We had the best time at Royalton Splash Punta Cana! The waterslides were amazing super fun for both kids and adults, we could’ve spent all day there. The food was delicious with so many choices, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling and making sure we had everything. The whole resort was clean, and just a huge party! Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing getaway with great food and service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The dining options were limited to 3 restaurants and always unavailable. The shows were very low budget, the food was below average. Staff is nice. Definitely not Marriott caliber. Rooms were remodeled, beds comfortable, water park is great. WiFi good too. The biggest issues is that the resort is advertised as 1 big resort with 2 properties where restaurants are shared which is not the case. Advertised as 14 restaurants but both sides barely had 6 open restaurants which were always booked! We were at same property 9 years ago and food, staff and entertainment was way better then. Resort is best for the kids because it’s geared for them. They also advertised arcade, bowling, trampoline and staff had no idea what that was. Definitely not going back again. I also mentioned I was a Bonvoy member and the reception said oh well because I booked through Expedia.

Staff was all either amazing or worthless, I don't think there was anyone we interacted with that was in between. In general the cleaning staff, bartenders, and concierges were incredible and the wait staff was terrible, but there were exceptions to all of those. The pools were well maintained as well as the bars. The room water ranged from clear to "are you sure you flushed?". Regular (about every other day) power outages. Sunscreen was $37-50 US. I expect and am fine with some amount of price gouging for the convenience of not leaving the property, but that exceeds what I am willing to tolerate. We also had more than one incident of being charged the wrong amount or wrong conversion rate "accidentally". The shop staff didn't realize that we understood them talking and know it wasn't accidental. The entertainment was actually entertaining and the dancers/circus performers were amazing. Food ranged from good to inedible. In the same meal at the seafood restaurant I had wonderful octopus as an appetizer but then when I also has octopus as part of my entree it was so tough I didn't think I'd be able to chew it enough to swallow. The food in the buffet was typical buffet food, overcooked and not kept at proper temperatures. The Italian and Mexican restaurants we ate at were good, except for the steak at the Italian place. We didn't do the steak restaurant because the steak was so poorly cooked any time someone ordered one at another restaurant that we didn't want to chance it.

Could never get clean pool towels. Room freezing, thermostat did not change the temperature in the room. Food at breakfast buffet, unless you got eggs, was always cold and out of staples ie. Syrup, bacon. Same buffet options for dinner over and over. Restaurant reservation system was horrible and none of the staff could explain when reservations opened for the next day. Entertainment limited.

In the service area at the buffet, they didn't have the right staff to provide the best service. Additionally, the buffet variety wasn't very good, nor was the desserts. When it came to serving dessert, they didn't have spoons to eat it, and you had to use forks or the soup spoons. Reservations for restaurants through the app were problematic because the app only opened at 5:00 p.m., and even if you managed to get a reservation, the time I was able to choose was 9:00 p.m. because it always said they were full. The pool area wasn't properly maintained, and they didn't use the correct chemicals for cleaning. The water was always cloudy and contained fruit residue from the drinks people drank. The trolli system for getting around the resort was extremely poor, with long wait times.

Excellent food, great place to rest. Professional staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only problem is that they have an online system that does not work to make restaurant reservations, but if you bring it up to your butler’s attention, he will do it for you.
