I needed a lighter and the room had. There were sports equipments for the kids to play.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Convenient parking right next to our cabin. Overall excellent. We will stay here again!

We were very dissatisfied with this hotel for several key reasons. 1) False Advertising This booking says that it has free breakfast. Having breakfast included in our stay was very important to our families budget. However after arriving at the hotel and checking in we found out there was no breakfast. The host said it was Hotels.com's error, and hotels.com said that only the host could add or delete the amenities. Either way, neither entity made it right. 2) Parking. We were the only unit that did not have snow cleared from our unit. In fact, we had a out 8ft of snow packed in front of our door at the time of arrival. We didn't complain about this at first, even after myself, my kids and my husband all slipped and fell at least once trekking to and from our car. However, our first night, after parking as close as we could to our unit, we got a call and text from the host with a picture of our car asking us to move because it was inconvenient to another guest. I informed the host at that time of the amount of snow in front of our unit and how difficult it was getting in and out of our unit. He said he would have the snow cleared the next morning. As of noon the next day nothing had been done to clear the snow. I called and followed up with the owner. He said oh, there's no where else to put the snow. You can park in front of unit 3. The same unit we had parked in front of the night before and had been asked to move from.

This place was Great for my family and I. Cozy and clean. No AC but didnt need it the weather was great and this is during the middle of summer. Definitely a place to stay in future. They offer outdoor games and BBQ surrounded by redwoods.

Emerald Bay Ridge is an 8/10 stay for me. A family member had previously stayed here and recommended it. Some of the notable benefits include its proximity to a shopping center, which is convenient for last-minute purchases or forgotten items. The property features two larger cabins with full kitchens and additional space. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins, which can accommodate 4-5 people, featuring one king bed and two full-size bunk beds. The cabin has a small fridge, one restroom, and modern fixtures, including a microwave and Keurig. However, please note that hot water is limited, so showers should be staggered. The area is great for kids to play, with a gated access to the basketball court behind the fence. We attempted to roast s’mores over the table, but it was experiencing electrical issues or low propane. Keep in mind that there is no room service, as no manager or housekeeper is on the premises. Their main phone line and email are not operational, and the only way to obtain information is through a third-party service. The place was quiet during sleep, although you may hear some car traffic noise from the nearby main road.

I noticed 2-3 spider webs (big ones so they didn’t look newly formed) which I understand since it’s a cabin and close to nature. But when I saw spiders (5-6) crawling in my bed it made me uncomfortable. I had to go out and get some bug spray to get rid and feel somewhat comfortable sleeping. If bugs bother you a lot I would avoid it according to my experience, if not it’s a different experience. Closely located to a lot of food/convenience stores. Parking was easy. Check in and check out process was almost seamless, overall 4/5

Great gem in South Lake Tahoe, close to dining (Elmers and the Y restaurants/Cuppa Tahoe) and Raleys. Convenient to I-50 and exploring S Tahoe. Loved our two bedroom cabin with kitchenette. Comfy. Clean. Nice extras like coffee and tea, creamers etc, toaster, microwave and mini fridge made for ability to “cook” basics and store leftovers, extra blankets, bedside “white noise machines” and ceiling fans made rooms cozy for sleeping. Loved that they supplied shampoo/conditioner and hairdryer as extra touches, plus roomy closets and comfy beds with lots of pillows. Outside shared seating area with bbq and games like cornhole, made for nice spot to hang out under the trees. Definitely will stay again!

Absolutely loved our stay at Emerald Bay Village. The beds and bedding were SO comfortable. The shower was hot with great pressure. The set up included everything you need to eat in. It was wonderful. Kim was so sweet to go get us propane for the BBQ when it ran out so we could make breakfast. We will definitely be staying again!

This property was an absolute game changer for our family. With 3 teens that covet their privacy, this cabin worked perfectly. Very easy access and parking. It was clean, cozy and beautifully furnished. It is within walking distance to numerous great food options, including an artisan pizza place. Also a grocery store if you want to make your own meals. The fully equipped kitchen was fantastic! It had everything we needed and more. The 3 bedroom family cabin was very spacious, plenty of room for a family of five. It was so relaxing! There is minor road noise but it felt more like a pattern of white noise and wasn’t distracting. We loved the experience at this property so much it has changed how we will plan our vacations from now on!

I absolutely LOVED my stay in Emerald Bay Village! The aesthetic was so cozy, and the room was spotless. Super simple check in/ check out instructions and the owners were in contact with me as well! I will definitely come back again when I visit Tahoe.

It was absolutey disgusting..to say the least. The beds looked as if they justvrolled out of them 5 seconds prior to me arriving. The trash was full in all rooms, cups and sink were like a toddler was learning how to make coolaide and spilled every lasy drop on the counter... i could feel the bed bugs plotting on me as i walked in. I immediately left and was promised a refund, but have not had any luck getting that back. The "landlord" will not answer any calls.

We stayed in cottage 2 Bayview, which is a 2 bedroom condo. It’s tiny. It worked for 3 of us, but will be too tight for 4 people for sure. Living area sofa is a two sitter, three people can only fit in sitting tightly close to each other. Kitchenette is fully stocked and very convenient, but lacks dishwasher and hot water has no pressure. In general it’s a newly renovated place nice and modern, but it lacks general cleaning. There is so much dust on the door trim and shelves and watermarks on tiles in the bathroom, looks like cleaners are doing really poor job. I provided my feedback to property management, hopefully they take it to consideration.

We booked this place on Christmas Day for two nights and when we arrived, the place was not cleaned at all - at all…. There were towels everywhere (also on the floor), and the bed was a mess… anything that you can imagine. We called and messaged the contact multiple times to talk about alternatives with no response…. We then subsequently called multiple times and still no response….. We have also reached out to have Expedia to contact the property but also had no resolution. We had no option on that day, but to move to another hotel at the last minute, on the Christmas Day, and of course at an extremely high price. We have contacted the property for a refund, but received no response either. While looking at all the reviews now, it seems this is not the first time the visitor has this issue…. So just be mindful.

We loved our little cabin! It was clean and cozy and it had everything we needed for a weekend trip.

Very nice, well-stocked, clean, compact room in a great location, but... upcharges. No staff on site and electronic check-in was a pain. Especially as the wifi was spotty during check-in, and for most of the night. And I was able to report on the wifi for most of the night, as the bed aggravated my backaches, and I could barely sleep. Im sure others have had a better experience, but I myself wont be back.

Overall the cabin and stay were great, very comfortable and updated. My only complaint was the walls are too thin, the family staying next to us were pretty loud late at night and really early in the morning. We were woken up at 5am because of the chatter.

It was a cozy little room, with good amenities. Only thing is the walls are paper thin, you can hear the room next to you clearly with conversations. It’s was hard to get quiet or peace.

The WIFI is very slow.

It was big enough for a family of 5 for 2 night stay..It could use updated internet connection, tv/streaming was pretty bad as well.Livinf room throw rug was filthy

We have stayed at Emerald Bay Village several times. My kids love the bunkbeds and the room is clean and comfortable. Previously, the only issue had been noise from adjoining rooms, given how thin the walls are. It entirely depends on who is in the adjacent room in terms of how much your night and sleep could be disrupted. On this most recent visit, the people in the next room had a group of friends staying and playing games loudly until past midnight. Another issue we had on this most recent stay was that the heater stopped working for about a day. I messaged the property contact person several times about this and received no response whatsoever. In the end I reset the Internet connection of the wall thermostat and the heater started working again. I had also informed the property contact person of the noise the night before. I did not receive responses about these issues. I would say that if there are no issues during your stay and you have no need for anything to be fixed and the people in the next room are not making noise late into the night, you will be satisfied with your stay. Final issue is that there is a keypad on the door lock and you get in with a code. They do not seem to be changing these codes over time, as we had the same code on two trips separated by about a year. So anyone who has stayed in that room in the past is able to get in with the same code. This seems like a suboptimal situation and a potential security risk.

One of the few times I’ve stayed at a place and had to leave the property and request my money back. Very poor lighting conditions (can’t see much in room at night. Floors weren’t very clean. Top bunk bed didn’t seem sturdy— pulled mattress on floor for daughter to sleep on. Air conditioning did not work, and when we asked how it worked, was told the property didn’t have air-conditioning, which was not advertised. Staying in July w just a ceiling fan did not work for us. On the second night after a long day of activities, we came back to the room and found a weird smell coming from the bathroom. Shower was backed up and had standing water which smelled like sewer/dirty water. Called the next day and was told the plumber would come out. Plumber couldn’t fix the problem and we were told would show up sometime the following week. After so many inconveniences, we decided to pack up and find other accommodations. The property manager/contact was very accommodating and did get back to immediately, which is the only reason I’m giving it more than one star. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here in this location.

Stay was wonderful! The only small “downsides” were the shower temps were opposite (turn left for cold, right for hot) and the walls are thin to the point where I could hear convos in the other room. But it honestly didn’t bother me too much! The bed was so cozy (I want to buy those pillows) and I loved having the fridge, microwave, and all the glassware and kitchen things to help preserve food and enjoy a beer and leftovers after a long day! In addition I appreciated all of the towels that were provided. We would definitely stay here again! Also, the way it was decorated was very cute!

We were put in the Vikingsholm 3-6 Cabins. I wished we had gotten the edge of the cabins. The walls were very thin, I can hear one cabin to the next. And it cracked me up that we had to throw out our own trash 😅 before check out. Despite all this, I would still try to stay again because it was very cute and cozy for a family of four.

Was initially surprised when the inside cabin looked nothing like the online photos. The cabin was cozy and had a nice little kitchen except the little dorm fridge froze all of our freshly purchased produce (on lowest setting). The bathroom had an open window that could not be shut and someone had placed a piece of foam to cover it, but it was freezing. I had initially received emails from the property upon arrival and tried to contact them via text, phone and email, but no one responded.

It was good. The phone number in the Expedia instructions did not reach anyone. Would have preferred to be able to reach someone.

Summary: property management is non-existent. They never responded to any of our calls or messages regarding broken plumbing. This is not a hotel. There is no on-site management. We did a self check-in with the door code provided in a message. The room was largely as pictured. Wife started to take a shower, during which daughter had to urinate. Daughter informs us the toilet did not flush. Wife exits the shower and notes it is draining slowly; the water is about an inch deep. I use the plunger on the toilet but it does not budge. We notice the water in the shower is actually not draining at all because the soap suds are not moving toward the drain. Over the course of the next hour, we call the number given in the check-in message 3 times. The number goes straight to voicemail and we left a message each time. We also sent 2 messages via the hotels.com app, providing our phone number. These messages were never returned. We called hotels.com twice and they confirmed that they also could not reach the property manager. Hotels.com agreed to initiate a refund and credited us 50 dollars for our trouble. We scrambled to find other lodging for the night -- the water level in the toilet and shower had not receded at all in nearly 3 hours. The property sent us check-out instructions the next day as if nothing happened. They refused to issue a refund and hotels.com is citing no specific policy in standing with their decision. We will not stay here or book with hotels.com again.

They sent me multiple message informing how to contact them if any questions. Okay when shower and toilet got clogged nobody responded to my messages and txt even after we checked out next day. There is no front desk in this place so you are on your on.

Staff super efficient. They sent email before check in with directions so we could go directly to our cabin. Room is beautiful! Can I live here forever?

I have tried to contact the property several times and I get no response. I asked about parking spaces before we arrived and then we had an issue with the heat being on the whole time and not being able to turn it off. I messaged the property and no response. I even tried to call and got a busy signal every time I tried. I also tried to reply to emails they sent me and I cannot even get to a page to be able to contact them.

Good value, clean rooms, nicely decorated. Some minor issues: plugged sink, no bedside table on one side, poor ventilation, very low water on shower and road noise.

Super clean and comfortable. The host is very responsive too and made sure we had a great stay. Love it's outside the busy area of South Lake Tahoe, but still has ski rental right across the street, and enjoyed the restaurant selection nearby too. Could become our default place to stay during the ski season.

Emerald bay village was perfect for our trip to tahoe. Its was close to everything without being in the hustle of downtown. Very esthetically pleasing with extremely comfortable beds and linens.

This was an adorable cabin, perfect for our needs as a family of four. It was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. It is situated in the perfect area with restaurants, coffee shops, and a grocery store super close by. I have no complaints and would love to stay here again!

Stayed here 2/2023. Loved how close it was to shops and food, but tucked away enough into the snow and trees. They made sure the ice/snow was out of the way for us to easily access the place. They also kept us updated about frozen waterline and what not. Would DEFINITELY re-book.

The property in itself is great. Adored the cabin-like feel and although we had occupants next to us we never heard them. There were also mountains of snow right next to us so you can imagine that the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults as well) had a blast playing on them. The room is pretty spacious (700sq.ft) and I liked the bunk bed setup for the kiddos. They provided utensils/plates/cups which was great. The TV setup wasn’t great (smart tv but the connection continually dropped). Not a big deal though, we had our iPad to watch movies on. I was confused about the breakfast, which on Expedia’s site states is provided (hence why families “love them”). I reached out to confirm and I was told it was not provided. This caused a bit of confusion as I had to run out to grab some goods that we could eat in the morning last minute. Please modify listing to take this bit of information out. They had really good communication throughout the visit. Checking in and out was easy. We will be back.
