On a whole it was an ok place to stay. The key wouldn't work all the time. We had to enter the main door to get into our room. Pool area had no towels and a sketch open wire by where you turn on the hot tub. Once reno's are complete it will be better!? Breakfast was decent and it was a nice big area to sit and have the meal.

The staff was very friendly and got us into the right room for having 5 people. The pool was clean but the area needed some more attention but not the end of the world stuff. They are under construction right now so the hallways and such are dirty but that is to be expected during construction. The front entrance needs a lot of attention as i didn't even know the front was the front. very sketchy looking. The breakfast was okay however they need to stop burning the sausages They need to clean the juice machine more frequently

Room wasnt cleaned prior to check in (dusty, dirty used towels, water on bathroom walls and dirty shower curtain, dirt coming off underside of countertop, flys buzzing around). Hot tub and pool covered in scum and physical dirt on bottom. Sauna is actually a steam room and was also visibly dirty.

What I didn’t like was there was no elevator. For people with mobility problems it would be problematic to get to the second floor.

The front desk area smelled bad. No dishes in Kitchenette room. The staff gave us some, that we had to pick up, only to discover most were OBVIOUSLY dirty, including one pot with dirt, food and even a dead fly! Garbage and 2 pairs of garbage shoes were in parking lot within 10 ft of our door, the whole 3 days, and very dirty outside. In 10 minutes, a worker could pick up garbage and sweep!! Very dumpy looking outside, especially at the farthest back area, makes for a bad first impression. 1 inch gap under the inside door to the hallway with light and noise coming in. Many doors were this way. Disgusting couch in room, dirty with greasy looking stains. Positive - excellent breakfast - great pool - helpful and polite staff

Was very disappointed in the rooms. Was told they have been renovated but our room was not. It smelt like stale smoke, and our beds had granola in it. We asked to get a refund they said no and moved us over to a different one which wasn’t any better.

I wish I could attach a picture of the tub. It was disgusting. You could see the light through the outside door. Overall cleanliness was not good.

It’s an older hotel, so you do get what you pay for. Outside there was a lot of cigarette butts everywhere you’d walk, which was gross. Better clean up of the outside area would be nice. The hotel was as clean as it could be. We had a baseboard near the door that was water damaged and it made the room smell musty. There were some ants in our hotel room. The beds, bathroom, etc, were cleaned. Staff were friendly. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I’d spend an extra $100 to get into a nicer hotel next time. But if you’re on a budget, and need a cheaper but decent enough hotel, then this hotel would be a not bad choice.

The rooms were filthy. It’s more like a motel and people hang out outside and it’s very noisy.

The pool area was very nice! By far the best part of this hotel. Rooms have both inside and outside access which was nice - we could park right outside of our room and enter through the exterior door and walk out of your room on the other side right into the pool area. Very nice for convenience, but you could definitely hear people using the pool when it was busier Rooms left a lot to be desired. Bathroom was small and definitely needs an update - we used the pool shower instead. Beds were comfy but we had three double beds squished into the room - with the desk, dresser and additional furniture, it made it very squishy for our family of 5. We did find ants in our room (likely due to the exterior access) but what I disliked most was that the room was fully carpet - you walk in wet from the pool area and can see large stains where it hadn't been dried or cleaned properly over time. All in all, pool area made it a good stay, but the rooms left a lot to be desired - no fault of the cleaning staff by any means - just showing age and in need of some work.

The photos are VERY misleading. I think they may have renovated a couple of the rooms & took photos of those but left the rest as they were 40 years ago. The bathroom (toilet & tub) had been redone recently & it was nice, but the sink was straight outta the 70’s. The faucet is so short that the water runs down the edge of the sink so it’s very difficult to wash your hands & the drain can’t handle the direct water flow so it backs up, leaving a pool of toothpaste & spit when you brush your teeth. The carpet was filthy & very old & the chair in the corner had all kinds of stains on it. Although the hotel room is non-smoking now, the stench of decades of stale smoke smacks you in the face as soon as you open the door. The bed, however, was comfortable & the sheets were clean. The price was low (which admittedly should have clued us in, but again, those photos are misleading.) I wouldn’t stay here again or suggest it to anyone else, but my husband & I were looking for a quiet place to sleep while our son celebrated his 18th birthday at our house with his friends & we got what we went there for… the hotel was very quiet & we both slept fine.

The bed was really uncomfortable. Construction was going on and disruptive.

Television didn’t work, staff looked at quickly and then left without helping. Room was supposed to be 2 queen beds, they were smaller than queens

Booked a room listed as "sleeps 6" for 5 of us and the room only had 2 queen beds.

The room was ok - very dark and dated, but the price was low so I expected that. My big problem was the pillows on the bed were horrible - cannot believe they were that bad. They had 5 on the bed and all were lumpy and horrible

Wouldn't stay again. I booked this hotel for the kitchenette and hottub, the hot tub was out of order and the kitchenette wasnt stocked with dishes. Flies in my room, killed 6 on the first night. Paper thin blankets and walls. You can hear your neighbors moving in their rooms and talking. Hammering early in the morning near my room, and because half the rooms are outside facing (motel style) there was random knocking on my door at 7 am one morning. Staff are friendly, lobby needs some serious TLC. Wishing I had booked at the hotel across the parking lot instead. Overall unimpressed and frustrated.

The bed was very comfy and the linens were great. The breakfast was good too and the hotel was quiet. The room was quite dated. Was missing electrical outlet covers. The curtains had something in the middle of them which made it impossible to close them all the way. The bathroom door was difficult to shut. The caulking in the bathtub needs to be replaced. And faucet in the sink was too short so it was difficult to use as it was too close to the edge of the sink.

Room was clean, but somewhat dated. Oddly, there are no phones in the rooms. Good breakfast with a reasonable variety of food items.

Check in was very slow

The front desk was amazing. Both during check in and check out. We were very pleased with this stay and value. Definitely recommend

Checked in at 4 pm and when I arrived to my room, I had 2 separate doors. Both keys did not work. Went back to the desk and had my key cards “reprogrammed.” Walked back across the property and up the stairs to the second floor, as there is no elevators and my cards still did not work. I went back to the desk and found the same girl with a look in her eyes…”deer in the head lights” I again asked her to properly get my keys working. She swiped my cards, improperly and I again had to walk across the property to get my keys so that I could enter my room. I then came do n and asked to change rooms, she was helped out and I was moved to the main floor, again extremely far from the front desk. I again had 2 moments where I could not enter my room. I again walked to the front desk, and it’s now 6:30 pm. 2 and a half hours of absolute ridiculous incompetence from the front desk. I then entered my room with the assistance of a young man. I tested my cards again and realized that they are not being programmed properly and the front desk is incompetent. I won’t be back. Terrible experience, just not acceptable.

Clean room, good staff. Room card stopped working right after check-in, got replaced. Then the room card stopped working another 3 times in the late evening. Staff had to let me in with the master card. It was annoying.

- [ ] Had to use my cell phone to call the front desk as the telephone was not working. - [ ] Explained to Ali that the air conditioner would not turn on. He said he’d be up in five minutes. Which he was. He went and reset the breaker that was located in a different room. Assuming a mechanical room. Air conditioner seems working well now. - [ ] Later the AC stopped and was just blowing air. Lucky we had a window to open. - [ ] The room was pleasantly cool enough. - [ ] Bed nice and comfortable. - [ ] No floor plan posted anywhere. Should at least be in the room showing emergency exits, alarms and extinguishers. Not sure if I just missed it. - [ ] No fire escape plan. Did not see any indication of the emergency exit in hall. - [ ] I’m sure there were there but I didn’t notice any fire extinguishers. - [ ] A sign not seen is useless. The sign for the ice machine was flat on the wall. Not visible from either end of the hall. A hanging sign over the ice machine would be more visible and useful. Much like the sign for the breakfast room. - [ ] Was a menu for the neighbouring restaurant, that was nice. - [ ] Breakfast eggs, just ok, sausages undercooked and funny spice, potatoes were overcooked and tasted bad. - [ ] Had real plates and bowls, very good. - [ ] Utensils were poor plastic but not unlike most other places I have stayed. - [ ] Hot water dispenser extremely slow. Took nearly a minute to fill my large mug. Did it in two trips. .

The property is a bit older, but good value for the cost. Rooms are clean, the staff was friendly, and the warm breakfast was a nice bonus.

We had a problem with the front desk worked being rude but other than that it was a wonderful hotel!

Probably a 3 start facility. However if you are a traveller who wants something convenient, a quick swim and hot tub , hot breakfast and get back on the road, this is a real deal. The area has multiple restaurants within 200m of the facility including a lounge, a steakhouse, indian foos restaurant and Tim Hortons.

No waffles at breakfast despite being advertised as available. This is and important little treat I search for when booking motel rooms. The rest of my experience was good but I gave it a lower rating due to my disappointment at breakfast.

I wished they have more variety breakfast stuffs. I’d stay here for work but they have the same breakfast everyday. Need some additional/alternate menu.

Good for a budget hotel but wouldn’t want to pay too much for this one. Staff was great. Breakfast was better than we anticipated.

No stopper in tub, could not have a bath if we wanted ! Extremely dated and needs a lot of cleaning and redoing furniture and tub was disgusting , would not even use it ! We question the necessity of the wall between car parking and door to room , making you walk a distance to unload and load your vehicle ! The breakfast was good !

Positives: Front desk staff were very polite. The pool looked nice but we did not use it. Negatives: Room needs a serious renovation. The tub looks like it was an installed insert many, many years ago. Breakfast - hot food was actually cold. There was no yogurt, etc in the fridge. In fact the fridge unit was empty. The orange juice dispenser pretty much dispensed mostly water. Terrible. In general, I will not stay at this property again.

Decent price, friendly staff, the room was clean and reasonably quiet. Breakfast included was a bonus!

It was an old building that had some renovations done. Regardless, it was clean and the shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast meal was okay -not great. I would say, good value for the money.
