Great stay! All the staff were friendly. Nice view. My only complaint it was far too warm in the room and too hard to sleep with the down comforters. Also the hot tub/jacuzzi lukewarm. Breakfast was fantastic.

Lovely hotel near train and Wengen ski cable cars with beautiful spa and great breakfast. Even though we didnt spring for the extra cost and classic view, We still had a lovely room with a view and a balcony. We would stay there again. All of the staff were especially nice to us, from the cleaning team to the front desk to the team in the restaurant.

They should clearly post notices at various locations on the property stating that the SPA and JACUZZI facilities are available only until 9:00 PM. Additionally, also indicate that guests must notify the lobby at least 30 minutes in advance if they wish to use the SPA. What a joke!

A estadia foi incrivel. Quarto confortavel, com varanda e frigobar. Nao tem ar condicionado, apenas 1 ventilador. Banheiro grande com banheiro e 2 pias. A estrutura do hotel é otima, com SPA, 2 jacuzzis, academia e sinuca. Cafe da manhã sensacional. Exatamente em frente a estacao do trem. Mas a cidade possui pontos de atenção: 1. Tudo fecha muito cedo, em torno de 20h; 2. Após esse horario a cidade fica vazia; 3. Não é possivel acessar de carro, apenas de trem que custa 7,40 CFH a viagem 4. First of all, the property is in Wengen and not in Lauterbrunnen as listed on Expedia. It takes a 25 mins cable car ride to reach Wengen from Lauterbrunnen. Starting with positives. Exceptional location. Its right across the Wengen train station and mins away from the Mannlichen cable car. The staff is amazing - polite and welcoming and responsive to all requests. Good breakfast & they have washer & dryer on site. So thats a plus. Now the cons. Its is supposedly a 4-star property but it is more like a cheap US motel. Very dated. Small rooms but that is expected in Europe. Uncomfortable mattress, flat pillows (we had to use two), and no extra blankets. There were very few plug points and were located in inconvenient places. No coffee machine but instant coffee with powdered milk was available. Cherry on the top was cable of the kettle. It was 6-inch long with no plug point near it!!! We had to bend over and reach under the table to plug in the kettle to heat the water!! Smallest bathrooms, no conditioner and shampoo + body wash that converted hair into hay. So it really depends on your expectations. We paid for a 4 star property and expected one. If we had known the condition of the place, we would have chosen another place.

We loved staying at this hotel , it was so quiet and peaceful even though it was right in the middle of big tourist attraction. It was right next to station so it was very convenient to travel to Jungfrau mountain or anywhere near by. There were lot of great food options near by in walking distance. Hotel breakfast was good , kids enjoyed it a lot but it had same options everyday without any new options , they should look at adding more variety. Hotel restaurant was good and nice sitting areas for families to relax, play pool or enjoy hot tub. Wellness spa was not available during our stay due to staff unavailable. Hotel staff were nice.

I stayed eight nights at this hotel in a classic Jungfrau view room. The hotel is a few minute flat walk from the train station which is perfect. The room also had an amazing view and nice balcony with a view which I ate several picnic dinners. Wengen was a really nice place to stay. The hotel staff was nice, the breakfast was great (especially the omelets) ,and it was fantastic to have a laundromat on site. A wash and dry was 10 CHF. The juzzucies and spa sun room was amazing after a day hiking. This is an old hotel, built in 1893. My bathroom was not renovated in grey as the pictures show. They also don’t offer massage services in the summer. My room was clean and nice sized, but there were some quirks. For example, the fridge door didn’t shut properly. I asked for it to be looked at and the maintenance person showed me how to jiggle it closed. Also my sink did not drain properly and the toilet had to be pumped to work. My shower worked great and it was nice to have a tub, robe, and slippers. I wouldn’t say my room was a 4 star room (due to the maintenance issues) but I would stay here again for the price I paid $200-250/night because of the fantastic location and view, and nice staff.

Hotel très confortable, très bien situé tout près de la gare et du télécabine. Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Petit déjeuner top et personnel extrêmement serviable et souriant. This was our favourite hotel so far in our 2 week trip from London to Paris to Switzerland. Nothing bad to say. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very very friendly and accomodating including at the breakfast which was one of the best we've had any any hotel. For us, the location was great for views over Lauterbrunnen, short travel to Interlaken and Eine Sheidegg.

Wengen is an amazing place that I have visited probably fifty times over the years. I have stayed at the Silberhorn half a dozen times over the years, and it is fine, although it really is in need of an update. it is certainly clean, and, like everything in Switzerland, it just works, but it is in dire need of an update.

Die Einzelzimmer sind in einem sehr schlechten Zustand und entsprechen dem Preis Leistungs Verhältnis überhaupt nicht mehr. Die Möbel passen nicht zusammen, die Vorhänge sind sehr alt, Schmutzig und zerrissen. Auch das Mobiliar auf dem Balkon ist alt und schmutzig. Badewanne ist zum Duschen oder Baden nur für jüngere Personen wirklich geeignet für ältere ist es sehr mühsam zum ein und aussteigen. Auch sind die Deutschkenntnisse des Personals miserabel und alle wollen nur Englisch sprechen und das mitten in der Schweiz im Berner Oberland. Wirklich gut ist die Lage und das Wellness dieses Hotels sonst empfehle ich als Single Reisender sich ein anderes Hotel zu suchen. Wer Erholung sucht sollte sich bewusst sein das dass Hotel sehr laut ist da es ein älteres Haus ist.

After paying 600 CHF a night, Rooms were smelly, No vegetarian options for Indians, Horrible staff, Breakfast did not have the basic brown bread and on asking for them they said they have gone to buy them and will be available shortly, this is definitely not expected out of a so called 4 star property and to top it up the restaurant staff was doing a favour on we indians as if he did not care, Indians and Indian vegetarian eaters should definitely avoid this hotel

The location was outstanding, merely steps away from the train in a much quieter area of Jungfrau. The staff was fantastic. Friendly, warm, and very welcoming. The breakfast buffet was simply unbelievable and reason alone to stay here. Yes, the traditional breakfast food is available with quality, but Prosecco, smoked salmon, fresh Brie. Not just one day, everyday! Outstanding. The Spa too was a great experience. My only issue, and it’s a big one, the mattress in the room I stayed in, was the second worst I’ve ever slept on. Zero support, and like the pillows, way too soft.

The staff was incredibly rude. When I asked questions about where to find breakfast and the room cleaning, the receptionist rolled his eyes and snapped at me that I should read my room card and “what did I think” asking those questions. Another receptionist turned off the lights in the reception area when I was on my computer doing work without saying a word. When I asked for him to turn the lights back on, he rolled his eyes.

I booked a double bedroom suite with 3 twin beds and one double bed and was charged that rate. Prior to arrival the room was paid in full through Expedia. When I arrived with my husband and two children there were only two twin beds in the room. I spent over an hour at the front desk arguing with the rude staff dressed in a T-shirt that was stained that the room I was given is not what I paid for. Long story short they charged me an extra $120 to bring the beds I had already paid for to the room. Under no circumstances do I recommend this hotel. It was awful. No coffee left by housekeeping the second night and we had to leave very early for a flight. There are other lovely hotels in Wengen. Stay far far away from this one.

While the snow conditions at the mountain in Wengen were far from optimal since it was unseasonably warm (+9 C) and had been raining for a couple of days prior to our arrival the fantastic staff at the Silberhorn still made our stay very enjoyable. The Christmas eve and Christmas Day prix fixe menus were phenomenal and the politeness and willingness of the staff to go above and beyond surpassed that of most 5 star hotels we've stayed in around the world. Kudos to everyone working there!

Lovely hotel, it looks ok from the outside however inside it is really nice. Perfectly located across from the station and a short 5 min to the main gondola for skiing. The views down the Lauterbrunnen valley are spectacular and the spa is great with these views. Would definitely return again.

Great stay and literally next to the train station and the Mannlichen cable car so everything was super convenient and walkable. I didnt get to tey the spa but their restaurant was delicious and they give you 10% off which was great.

We loved our stay at the Silberhorn and it was one of our favorite hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon travels! The property is clean, well maintained, and conveniently located. The buffet breakfast in the morning is also wonderful! Highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Wengen/Lauterbrunnen area!
