Had a junior suite, the lounge and especially the staff in the lounge (Tina and ?) are amazing! Food is of good quality, location is nice, limo and laundry service are superb. The suite service made it a real Ritz Carlton experience.

The Ritz are consistently great hotels. The suite we had was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is basically spotless inside and out. The bar lounge is elegant and well staffed. Breakfast and lunch buffets are out of this world in terms of variety service and cleanliness. We enjoyed the service and food daily with no regrets. Our advice might be to download a taxi app to help get a cab to return at night because they all work that way now. Great hotel. Classy staff and management. Everyone knows their part and performs to perfection. Stay here.

Many restaurants and several shopping malls are steps away from the hotel. It's also very close to subway station. The property has an upscale appearance inside and out. Most staffs were pleasantly polite and helpful; room was clean and well equipped; breakfast buffet selection was quality and substantial. It'd be my first choice when I return to Shanghai next trip.

My stay at Portman was perfect! Besides its excellent location and elegant decor, the staff was incredibly lovely and cordial. Their hospitality and courtesy were superb. I would like to give my special thanks to Helen who patiently helped me solve my issues and accommodated my requests. With utmost kindness, she continuously ensured that my 8-day stay at Portman was joyful. She also updated me about the fast-changing nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and boutiques. My room was constantly crystal clean with pink roses and everything was perfectly placed. Therefore, I will definitely stay at Portman again when I come back to Shanghai next time.

Nice grand hotel, even it’s a bit dated, but very well maintained. Rooms are good size in this location, but the view from our rooms are not great. Breakfast is good, not outstanding though. Staffs are ok, only if you ask something, they will talk to you.

This is not exactly Ritz Carlton's standard. The room is small and not well maintained. We felt the room is similar to a 3-star hotel. The breakfast is great, but we hope to have oatmeal and soft-tofu in the morning.

The lady who checked us out was cold. She made me pay for my and the kids' breakfast even though we didn't go to the buffet on the 2nd morning. (The buffet staff scanned my room card on the first day, we didn't go on the 2nd day, so my room card wasn't scanned, she should have the records) When we checked in, the front desk strongly recommended the breakfast package, I said sure I will try it. We went to the buffet on the first morning. The breakfast was not good, but it was expensive compared to other hotels. They didn't tell me that I had to call and cancel the breakfast if I didn’t want it on the second day. The other hotels I have stayed only charge if we went to the breakfast. I am very disappointed.

What a wonderful experience. Service was terrific, food was wonderful and Frank, the guest services manager, could not have been more helpful and an example of what the word “hospitality” means. Would definitely be my first choice.

Had a junior suite, the lounge and especially the staff in the lounge (Tina and ?) are amazing! Food is of good quality, location is nice, limo and laundry service are superb. The suite service made it a real Ritz Carlton experience.

Right in the downtown area of PuXi. Location is perfect! The room seems a little outdated but still very clean. Staff is very friendly and prompt. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection from Chinese to western options.

The Ritz are consistently great hotels. The suite we had was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is basically spotless inside and out. The bar lounge is elegant and well staffed. Breakfast and lunch buffets are out of this world in terms of variety service and cleanliness. We enjoyed the service and food daily with no regrets. Our advice might be to download a taxi app to help get a cab to return at night because they all work that way now. Great hotel. Classy staff and management. Everyone knows their part and performs to perfection. Stay here.

This is not exactly Ritz Carlton's standard. The room is small and not well maintained. We felt the room is similar to a 3-star hotel. The breakfast is great, but we hope to have oatmeal and soft-tofu in the morning.

The lady who checked us out was cold. She made me pay for my and the kids' breakfast even though we didn't go to the buffet on the 2nd morning. (The buffet staff scanned my room card on the first day, we didn't go on the 2nd day, so my room card wasn't scanned, she should have the records) When we checked in, the front desk strongly recommended the breakfast package, I said sure I will try it. We went to the buffet on the first morning. The breakfast was not good, but it was expensive compared to other hotels. They didn't tell me that I had to call and cancel the breakfast if I didn’t want it on the second day. The other hotels I have stayed only charge if we went to the breakfast. I am very disappointed.

We had Club Lounge access during our stay and couldn’t have been happier with the service. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were incredibly welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, particularly when it came to making our stay comfortable with our two kids. The Club Lounge was a real highlight, with excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere. The team went above and beyond to look after us and made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend the Club Lounge experience, especially for families.

It is located in the best area in the city close to shopping centers and many good restaurants. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Room is pretty big and in very good condition. Beds are comfortable and sheets are comfortable and in good quality. There are six elevators to the high floors and almost no waiting time. WiFi in the buildings is excellent. Love the place. Will stay again if visiting the city.
