Lovely inn in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great for our dog too. The room was lovely, the bar area was really nice and the breakfast was very good too. Would definitely recommend, and we will stay again.

The accommodation, the breakfast and the pub itself were all excellent. BUT, sadly my car was damaged whilst parked in their carpark overnight. It's a small, unmarked and uneven cobbled space with barely enough room to manoeuvre any vehicle. So, I wasn't actually surprised when I noticed my damaged vehicle. I imagine it's an all to frequent occurrence here. There are no cameras overlooking the carpark and the response that I got from the pub was lack lustre to say the least. The message of my review is yes stay at the pub, but park elsewhere or it could turn out to be a more costly stay than anticipated.

A stunning old hotel nestled in the heart of the also stunning wee village of Hebden bridge makes for a glorious stay for exploring the area. From check in to check out the staff couldn’t help us enough and the food was amazing including breakfast which set us up for a day of walking. Room was spacious and comfortable and as we had our wee dog with us we had a lovely quiet courtyard room. We will return

This is a lovely wee hotel in the heart of Hebden Bridge. The pub and staff are great. The parking is very limited and the very uneven cobbles will challenge some cars. there is space for about 10 and park closely to ensure other customers can get in. The main problem with the Hotel is its position on a corner of busy roads used by buses and farm traffic also, as well as normal traffic. This means your sleep will be disturbed if you're alike me with good hearing, but even my wife who has some hearing problems was repeatedly disturbed by it. Still well worth a visit but ear plugs highly recommended. PS the breakfast is huge so pick only what you want and will eat.

We stayed in room 6, a Superior En-suite room with a courtyard view. The room was absolutely amazing, more a mini-suite than a room with separate bathroom linked by corridor. Location could not be better, right in the middle of town with its own parking (but note that its small and a bit tight!) Food is excellent, nice wines and great local ales on tap, staff are lovely and friendly, especially with our large dog. Only gripe was the wifi is very weak, but if you can't disconnect and enjoy life in a town as beautiful as Hebden Bridge then the problem isn't the weak wifi! Would love to stay again.

We loved our stay at the White Lion. Rooms were lovely- a view of the river i would recommend. Food was lovely- breakfast and evening meal. The staff were lovely. Hebden Bridge was at its best, in the sunshine on the day we visited. Lots to do on the door step of the hotel, all within easy strolling distance. Market day was the Thursday we were there which was worth a visit. We parked away from the hotel, as the Hotel car park was full when we arrived- but this wasnt too far to walk so not a problem.

Second visit and equally as happy as our first time. Lovely decor, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet for sleeping. Delicious breakfast. Great service. Free parking a bonus in Hebden Bridge town centre.

The staff were very efficient during check in. We were shown to our room which was in the courtyard, it was very spacious and spotless. There was everything you could want, tea , coffee even hot chocolate, there was also an iron and ironing board along with a hairdryer. There was a good choice for breakfast we had the full English which was very hot and delicious. I would definitely return.

Arrived and checked in for 1 night bed and breakfast...duvet cover on the bed was dirty so we complained and got it changed, we also got a free drink at the bar, the room was adequate but for a 4 star needed a little TLC, seal on the bottom of the shower was coming off, no toilet brush for cleaning, lock on bathroom door didnt work, material on the stool by dressing table was stained, carpet was threadbare in 2 places, breakfast was average, no cereal, yoghurt or fruit...had an evening meal in the bar my steak and ale pie was so oversalted it ruined it...for £165 a night for 2 people we wont be going back.

Comfortable, clean and well equipped room overlooking Hebden Water. Comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was delicious, table service and cooked to order. Staff were friendly and location excellent.

Really convenient for a day’s visit to Hebden Bridge as it’s right in the town and walking distance to everything. Breakfast was generous (so beware!) and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The en-suite was lovely but there are a few damp-related issues going on in there!

On first arrival no where to park. Finally managed park on car park but had to climb over passenger side to get out because was so little space. When got in room very nice indeed but the 3 bins in there were full of rubbish from previous guests the day after 2 of them were emptied. Had evening meal very nice but next morning had breakfast and the beans were off following morning breakfast was spot on. Would of liked a iron in the room other than that was lovely stay.cheers

It was my 4th or 5th stay at the White Lion and I can honestly say that I love this place with one reservation. Some of the furnishing needs updating or at very least a very deep clean.

The room was amazing very clean, comfortable and modern. The bed was very comfy. The shower was walk in and very hot. The view from our room shown the river and was very beautiful to look at The only thing about the room was the road traffic noise you could hear. The pub itself was very busy and the breakfast was really good. We also had a meal and that was brilliant too. The staff was very helpful and really informative. Would recommend a stay here.

A really lovely place to stay in Hebden Bridge, right in the heart of the town we stayed in the newer section of the hotel and the room was one of the best and most comfortable hotel rooms we have stayed in in a long time. The breakfast and evening meal were top quality and the staff were friendly and extremely attentive I thoroughly recommend staying in this hotel if you’re visiting Hebden Bridge. 5⭐️

Just a couple of minor niggles, which did not really detract from the overall impression of a great place to stay in Hebden Bridge. Our room was spacious and comfortable but had a broken lamp shade and a loose leg on the dressing table stool both of which should be easy fixes. The bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath a bonus but the addition of a shelf near the sink or hook on the back of the door would be useful, as there was nowhere to put toiletry bags other than the top of the toilet cistern! The bins being wheeled over the cobbles below our window at 5am was very annoying. However, the service was excellent and food good and we would certainly recommend as a place to stay.

Lovely old pub in the middle of pretty Hebden Bridge. The sloping bedroom floor was challenging, but entertaining. I chose this place to stay because it had parking, but there isn't much space so ended up having to pay to park overnight in a public car park.

Lovely stay at the White Lion Hotel. We stayed in room 9. Did say river view but wasn't visible from the room but was from outside. Could hear the water though which was lovely. The room was very big and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was good. There wasn't any continental though. Would recommend.

We stayed in Hebble for two nights. The room was lovely with high quality fixtures and fittings. The shower in particular was excellent. The staff throughout the pub were consistently friendly and helpful. There were just two issues: 1. When we got back to our room at 5pm after our first night we found that the room had not been cleaned / made up. We weren’t worried about the bed being made or towels replaced but it also meant that the bathroom supplies and drinks caddy hadn’t been replenished. However as soon as I reported it one of the staff apologised and promptly brought us new supplies 2. There is no means of controlling the temperature in the room. The weather was cold outside so it was good to have a warm room to come back to. However the radiators were on all night and couldn’t be switched off. This made the room far too warm for comfortable sleeping

A characterful hotel. Our room was large with sloping floors (not a complaint) but nicely furnished and comfortable. The staff all seemed to be very young but couldn’t have been any more courteous and welcoming. I cannot fault it.

Accomodation was perfect for us as we were travelling with our small dog. Excellent selection of coffee and teas in the room. Staff were all really helpful and friendly. We had our evening meal in the hotel, whih was excellent, as was our breakfast the following morning. Lovely town to stay in with plenty of pubs restaurants and bars. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
Accomodation was perfect for us as we were travelling with our small dog. Excellent selection of coffee and teas in the room. Staff were all really helpful and friendly. We had our evening meal in the hotel, whih was excellent, as was our breakfast the following morning. Lovely town to stay in with plenty of pubs restaurants and bars. Lovely inn in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great for our dog too. The room was lovely, the bar area was really nice and the breakfast was very good too. Would definitely recommend, and we will stay again.

Booked to stay here for one night for our wedding anniversary booked a table in the restaurant. When we sat down the Restaurant was not busy at all and we ordered food starters one soup and one scallops and mains one salad and a burger. After a while the waitress returned to say she got the type of soup wrong, so we said don’t worry about soup, and we would just have one starter the scallops, we then waited and waited nothing appeared 45 minutes later waitress came back and said mixup in kitchen, the mains were ready but not the starter (scallops) did we want the mains first then the starter afterwards! At this point having waited nearly an hour for our food, we decided to cancel the meal altogether and leave. Although the meal was then offered foc the special occasion had been spoilt by the poor service. We had booked to stay here again later in the year but we have cancelled this booking, as we didn’t want to take a chance and have them spoil another special day, we won’t return here.

Our stay was lovely overall and so was the Hotel. Fantastic location in the middle of town just what we needed. If you want to park in their car park space is very limited and I would advise you get there early to guarantee a space otherwise you will have to find parking elsewhere which is at a premium if it’s busy. The room was lovely we stayed in the main part of the pub and although really busy we weren’t disturbed by any noise. We ate at night in the restaurant and the food was good, the front of house host was a little frosty though ! Breakfast was amazing. All in all thoroughly recommended

I have stayed quite a number of times and often eat lunch there. I have never had an issue with the service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I enjoyed breakfast too.

Perfect location for a visit to Hebden Bridge - literally footsteps from the town centre. Free parking. Rook was in a small annexe right next to the main building. Very quiet - only noise at night was the river next to the room which was very relaxing. Very clean, plenty of space. Fantastic breakfast and the staff were all lovely - no fuss, just handled everything perrfectly

A lovely stop over weekend to see a play at Hebden Bridge Little Thatre. The hotel was busy , the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were massive. It’s a very old building with charm and character right in the centre of the Town.

We stayed in room 6, a Superior En-suite room with a courtyard view. The room was absolutely amazing, more a mini-suite than a room with separate bathroom linked by corridor. Location could not be better, right in the middle of town with its own parking (but note that its small and a bit tight!) Food is excellent, nice wines and great local ales on tap, staff are lovely and friendly, especially with our large dog. Only gripe was the wifi is very weak, but if you can't disconnect and enjoy life in a town as beautiful as Hebden Bridge then the problem isn't the weak wifi! Would love to stay again.

We loved our stay at the White Lion. Rooms were lovely- a view of the river i would recommend. Food was lovely- breakfast and evening meal. The staff were lovely. Hebden Bridge was at its best, in the sunshine on the day we visited. Lots to do on the door step of the hotel, all within easy strolling distance. Market day was the Thursday we were there which was worth a visit. We parked away from the hotel, as the Hotel car park was full when we arrived- but this wasnt too far to walk so not a problem.

Excellent location, good sized room and bathroom, well appointed. All the staff were very efficient and welcoming. We had supper in the bar and we've never had homemade steak and ale pies like the White Lion's! Amazing. Too full the next day to partake of what would undoubtedly have been an excellent breakfast. Good coffee though. All in all a very good one night stay in the centre of Hebden Bridge.

Everything was brilliant. Room was clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast choices were great, the full English was amazing, all local produce.

Arrived and checked in for 1 night bed and breakfast...duvet cover on the bed was dirty so we complained and got it changed, we also got a free drink at the bar, the room was adequate but for a 4 star needed a little TLC, seal on the bottom of the shower was coming off, no toilet brush for cleaning, lock on bathroom door didnt work, material on the stool by dressing table was stained, carpet was threadbare in 2 places, breakfast was average, no cereal, yoghurt or fruit...had an evening meal in the bar my steak and ale pie was so oversalted it ruined it...for £165 a night for 2 people we wont be going back.

We absolutely LOVED the food! The standard of cooking and variety was like being in a Michelin starred restaurant. This is the second time we have been to the White Lion, this time I bought my mother and her partner for a birthday treat. They also said they absolutely loved it and would like to return soon. Cosy rooms, excellent facilities.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! Located right in the heart of Hebden bridge. The room we had was gorgeous, very spacious but also impeccably clean and a really fancy touch to it. We stayed here for our wedding night and couldn’t be happier with the service. The breakfast was also amazing! It was such a calm and organised morning where the staff greeted us to our assigned table and we were offered a range of different breakfast choices. They catered brilliantly to vegan which was great! Would definitely stay here again, thank you.

On first arrival no where to park. Finally managed park on car park but had to climb over passenger side to get out because was so little space. When got in room very nice indeed but the 3 bins in there were full of rubbish from previous guests the day after 2 of them were emptied. Had evening meal very nice but next morning had breakfast and the beans were off following morning breakfast was spot on. Would of liked a iron in the room other than that was lovely stay.cheers

This was our 4th stay at The White Lion. It was amazing as always. Such a fab location. Lovely staff, fabulous breakfasts and gorgeous room. The rooms are constantly upgraded and all little home comforts are available. Comfy beds, great toiletries, tea, coffee, chocolate and cookies. We just love it here which is why we keep coming back.
This was our 4th stay at The White Lion. It was amazing as always. Such a fab location. Lovely staff, fabulous breakfasts and gorgeous room. Looks lovely on the surface however be aware the car park is tiny and as The White Lion is a pub is used for people going in the pub. Public parking in the vincity is also limited. Some areas need attention, carpet on corridor to room 5 is very dirty with boot prints. Breakfast would have been an 8/10 however the Breakfast order for my husband was when brought out, myself and the rest of our party had almost finished eating when they brought it out again, unfortunately the food was cold , in my opinion they had just swapped it onto another plate and re did the egg
