The hotel is really stylish. We loved the decor and it was really well maintained. Plenty of room in the bar and restaurant with enough food and drink choices for our tastes. The 'cinema' (large screen projector) was a really nice touch, especially with the graduated seating, just like e real cinema. We were able to watch the ladies Rugby World Cup. The reception area was really light and spacious. Very welcoming with lovely helpful reception staff. The rooms...we'll.our room was again very stylish with the bed situated in the centre of the room. This might seem odd, but not at all. Other hotels should follow suit. Hopefully I should be able to upload some pictures? We had a perfectly usable fridge. Good sized TV and well placed. Really comfy queen size bed and snuggly pillows. Air con worked really well. The shower room was a again really well designed with a large shower area big enough for two. The standard shower head was easily good enough but the monsoon shower head was spectacular! I'm not a fan of showers...but I would be with one of those. Hot water was instant and always hot. Soft close toilet seat. The room was built for comfort and relaxation. Plenty of lamps and lights and the black out curtains worked to well. We didn't know if it was daytime or night time. Brilliant! Room service was excellent. Bar service was excellent. Restaurant services was excellent. We won't be looking at any other hotels when we revisit Leicester. Certainly the best we've stayed in.

Everything good although room 234 exec suite has a major issue with noise generated by the bathroom light triggering extractor fan in the main bedroom. The noise is horrendous especially if triggered in the middle of the night! Additionally the beer in the bar was very poor (Stella). It was completely flat and should not have been served. Everything else about my stay was good.

I am really sad to have to write this as I couldn’t have been more impressed with the hotel to begin with, lovely staff and gorgeous hotel, unfortunately I had the horror of finding faeces stains all over the bed sheets on the inside and on the side of the bed. I was so in shock I didn’t complain and simply left. I am assuming it must have been a member of staff as you would hope the sheets are changing daily in a hotel especially one of that quality. I am sure if I had said something the staff at reception would have been more than accommodating however I was more in disbelief as you don’t usually find something quite so bad in a hotel room. Traumatising

Although a stated 4-star hotel, it didn’t feel like that. During our stay at VOCO Leicester, we were thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The hotel is beautifully designed and perfectly situated in the heart of the city center. The rooms are wonderful, very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. We encountered a minor issue with the sink, but the team were helpful and sorted out a resolve.

Modern. Well equipped. Central hotel that is ideal for accessing the rugby stadium or universities. The room was very clean except someone left shaving remnants in the sink. Parking is very limited (only 20 spaces) and has to be booked weeks in advance. There is an NCP car park 10 mins walk away that’s much cheaper and has more spaces

Warm welcome and good vibe but…someone else’s scrubbie was still hanging in our shower and the conditioner bottle had shampoo in it. Made me question the attention to detail in the cleaning and preparing of our room which was unsettling. The fridge in our room was a bonus.

Lovely hotel, room was 10/10, good value. However quite thin walls, you could hear the chairs scraping on other floors (probably from the restaurant) which woke me up. Bathroom fan also ridiculously loud and annoying. Restaurant food was sub-par, slightly disappointing, the dishes did not match what was on the menu, definitely not worth the price. Staff were great and breakfast was lovely.

I have travelled all over the world and this was the best hotel by far! The staff were wonderful, the hotel is modern and comfortable, the rooms are big, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was amazing! Just really great overall

The hotel itself was great but the AC was not working properly, had the staff reset and look at it, still did not work, will not be staying at the property again, 2 nights of no sleep and all they said will fix in the morning when I’m checking out.

Amazing views from our terrace of the tiger’s stadium. Room nice but a little tired. Bathroom door had a dent in so looked shabby. Cigarette butts on terrace. Shower great. Missed the Leicester cheese biscuits that we used to get in room. Breakfast okay. Difficulty finding any staff to order from menu. No vegetarian sausages available. Cold scrambled eggs. A little disappointed to be honest. Overall a good stay but room for improvement.

I booked a balcony room and the people in the neighbouring room were had their balcony door open, music on and guests from other rooms in their suite until after 2am. I did speak to reception but there isn't a lot they can do about other people being inconsiderate. The room itself is genuinely lovely and I'd have loved it if the sun had been out and my neighbours hadn't been so annoying. Book a different room here unless you want to risk a group of drunk people screaming outside your window all night I really like this hotel and it's not really their fault but I didn't really get any sleep last night because I had an early start

Room was really good, comfy and excellent bathroom/ shower. Service at dinner was poor, every table around us was served before us even tho we ordered before them. We had 11am check out in the morning but come 9.10am we had the cleaners scratching and knocking the door which woke us up, ignored it but was now awake, then by 10 am they were back knocking again, we answered the door and they asked what time we were leaving as they needed to get on! Told them ‘polity’ that we had 11 am check out.

The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and always went above and beyond. I can't remember their names but both the girls on reception who checked me in and checked me out were absolutely lovely so polite patient and just all round made me feel comfortable. When it came to the breakfast I believe the front of house member I had on Sunday was called Leigh and they were just as incredible, the service they delivered was beyond my expectations, would highly recommend

When it came to the breakfast I believe the front of house member I had on Sunday was called Leigh and they were just as incredible, the service they delivered was beyond my expectations, would highly recommend

I called up ahead to book car park. Went to head office or another replace as they said I didn't need to do that. So I never had car park spot. I always book with breakfast. So on the website the breakfast was highlighted and in green. Get to hotel and told to pay extra for breakfast. I asked for a receipt and was told I would get this in the morning. The next morning I am told there is a queue of 100 print outs for a conference, so I will need it emailing. This wasn't emailed. I then call up again and am told that they cannot now send me an invoice for the breakfast. Wasn't a good stay at all.

Great facilities for a stay after the rugby, but wish we hadn’t opted for breakfast. I waited over an hour for a custom breakfast choice for it to never turn up! There was no communication from the staff regarding a delay and I had to check what happened. They reported that the chef was overwhelmed in what was then a near empty restaurant. Upon their advice it would be a further 10 mins, and no apology for the delay, I ended up missing the buffet to eat. Also the queues on rugby days are horrendous - staff not efficient and seem disengaged. Shame as the hotel is ideal with our tigers season ticket. Though the reception team were friendly and let us check in early.

Delightful hotel with its own unique style and very modern. Alisha and Anissa at reception were very good and despite working long hours at the stand only check in desks were smiling friendly and helpful. Service in the very large lounge bar with the giant theatre style sport screens was also top notch. Highly recommend!

Stayed here last night. The hotel was modern and nice, but the service was poor. I was told I could only eat in the bar lobby as the restaurant was booked for an event. Later, the bar closed, and I was told to order drinks from the restaurant, only to be confronted by the event hosts and asked to leave. Mentioned this at checkout, but all I got was a quick apology. I gave 4 because we arrived late at night and instead of reception helping us through the door which both was locked they were busy chatting amongst them selves the 3 of them and showed no interest helping with the door or turnstile we checked in went to our room the rooms are spacious clean and tidy great shower and comfy bed the cleaning ladies are very friendly and the day staff lady was very polite the rooms are great I would stay again but just don’t arrive when the night receptionists are on

Good stay as we used it for an overnight stop for a University visit. Price for us was very reasonable at £75 per night inc breakfast and only 15 minutes walk from the university. It is on the same site as the Rugby ground, so would be a great (though probably much more expensive) place to stop if you were going to watch a rugby game in Leicester.

The staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful hotel is amazing and clean and has a lot to offer and is also near so much and is only a minute away from the hospital that we need to be at for an appointment will definitely be booking here again .

The hotel was clean. My room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and came with a large walk in shower. I loved the retro phone and radio. The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town but was just across the road from a number of bus stops. Bus rides into the centre of town were very short. I ate at the hotel on one evening. The food was good and it arrived very quickly. Perfect for any attending a rugby match as its just across the road. The hotel is ideal for everyone

Wonderful one night stay, the room was beautifully appointed with an extremely comfy bed and plenty of pillows. Great spacious bathroom facilities with a marvellous shower and plenty of toiletries. Easy to walk to from Leicester train station. Nice bar & restaurant area with great staff!

This was a fantastic stay from the clean rooms, great AC, and great breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed the restaurant on site and bar. Everything was super clean and was the highlight of our stay. The interior design was really interesting with the features in the room and design. Would stay here again if I'm next in town.

The room and general service was of a very high standard. The beds were comfy, the furnishings were nice and modern, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The only downside was The Lair restaurant, which we tried for dinner on our second night. All of the food was fairly underwhelming and bland, and it cost us far more than expected (plus a 12.5% gratuity added to the bill, despite just two of us eating a couple of courses). After such nice food out and about in Leicester, I certainly wouldn't rush back to the in-hotel restaurant.

Lovely hotel, room was 10/10, good value. However quite thin walls, you could hear the chairs scraping on other floors (probably from the restaurant) which woke me up. Bathroom fan also ridiculously loud and annoying. Restaurant food was sub-par, slightly disappointing, the dishes did not match what was on the menu, definitely not worth the price. Staff were great and breakfast was lovely.

My first stay at a Voco hotel and I was very impressed. The location was good, as I was attending an event in the city. Parking in the nearby infirmary carpark was convenient. My room was great, and very clean and tidy. The restaurant offered a varied dinner menu and a variety of breakfast options. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, I very much enjoyed my two-night stay.
