The bed was dirty upon arrival: red stain on the sheet like that of bedbugs; dirty mattress cover with stains and stray hairs. While the housekeeping staff was attentive the following day, the absence of any on-site staff or in-person assistance with the unsanitary room makes obvious the fact that Bob’s customers and staff are less important than cost-cutting shortcuts. Overrated and overpriced.

The place is perfect. It was very easy to find, and check in/out. We also were able to do early check in by paying an extra that was reasonable. The only “not good” thing, is that there was a retro Nintendo console with the joysticks, but when we wanted to play with it, the console was broken. Also, we wanted to use the TV and when trying to connect as “screen mirroring”, the TV had the “network” connection disabled so we couldn’t connect our phones. Other than that, the place is fantastic, is well equipped and is located very close to most of places that are popular in Helsinki. We would stay there again :)

Logement propre. Proche de la gare centrale d'Helsinki et dans le centre ville. Equipements de la chambre moins pratiques que dans un autre Bob W. Lieu sûr mais peu agréable (accès aux chambres par un long couloir peu lumineux).

Could not open the windows. The room was very hot even with the cooler and a big metal fan running all the time. The consept of the hotel is nice, but the heated room ruined the sleep.

The Bob W sign for this particular property is quite small, so watch for it right at the top of the stairs. I never did get the app to work, so be sure to have the check-in code handy. This proved far more difficult for me than it should have been. That was just me, but I'm sure I'm not alone. The luggage storage, washateria, and rooms are all very clearly marked. It's unfortunate that my room for 7 nights was right beside the entrance door, and when people are inputting the code to get into the outside door, it can be heard in this room. I'd recommend stays more than 2 nights not be assigned this room. One washing machine was broken the week I was here, so there were a few of us lined up to use the one machine. It's a bad design, so the bathroom was flooded every time I used the shower, which was annoying. That said, the location is excellent in relation to the university, and it's a decently comfortable place for the price. It was really nice to have access to a small kitchen during the stay that was stocked with a few basics.
