Amazing place and location. Breathtaking views, beautiful outdoor and indoor pools with thermal water, luxurious spa. Wonderful restaurant with the best Tuscan specialties, second to none wine list. Beautiful room with own private garden, entire property and gardens impeccably maintained, peaceful surroundings typical of the Tuscany hills. The best wineries of the famous Brunello all within a 15-minute drive, Siena, San Gimignano and other historic places reachable in an hour or less. A truly unforgettable experience.

Das Hotel ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung, das äussere Erscheinungsbild als auch das Personal sind gut. Allerdings haben sie mafiöse Preise. Wir hatten eine Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmern für 900 CHF. Das Zimmer ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt wenig modern. Die Badezimmer waren alt und sehr klein, die Betten durchgelegen. Der Spa ist ein Thermalbad, allerdings funktioniert die Hälfte nicht, Licht viel aus, Experience-Duschen funktionierten nicht, und das ganze wirkt ziemlich lieblos und nicht besonders gepflegt. Der Hammer war jedoch das Restaurant. 40 € für eine einfache Pasta, das Filletsteak war garniert mit kalten Kartoffeln, verwelktem Salat und ein Paar Tomaten, das Ganze wurde als Gemüse verkauft. Der Wein (Brunello aus der Region) startete bei 120 € die Flasche, Wein aus der eigenen Produktion bei 200 € die Flasche. Hinzu kommen stolze 10% Service-Charge auf die Gesamt-Rechnung, dem Kellner schien das Ganze sehr unangenehm zu sein, der meinte die 10% seien für die "property". Das Ganze die Krönung aufgesetzt hat jedoch das Wasser für das Zimmer, man wollte mir dies mit 8€ die Flasche verrechnen, das Ganze auf der Restaurant-Rechnung, mit zusätzlich 10 % Service-Charge. Everything was 5 star. It’s like living in a castle in the sky with hot thermal pools everywhere and amazing food. We loved our outdoor patio with the sunset view of the panorama.

The property was exquisite. The view spectacular and the staff top notch. The indoor and outdoor thermal pools and sauna made our stay very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

Honeymoon trip. I liked it more than my husband but we look for different things. He was very disappointed with the bedrooms. Not much space. It felt like we were sleeping in the same room as the bathroom. But the view from the bedroom was spectacular. The pools were absolutely gorgeous. The spa doesn’t open until noon. And the sauna was never hot. We would have liked to go earlier. One thing to note: if you book on Expedia the spa (saunas, steam room, salt bath) is not included when otherwise it is. The staff told us it was included and then at checkout they tried to charge us $50/each per day we used it. So just fyi- it is not free. The food at the restaurant is great for breakfast but not worthy the money for dinner. You will pay $160 for a steak that feeds 3 people (no option for less) and it will be the most mediocre steak of your life. It will be unforgettable since you’ll regret the choice! Better off eating dinner in Montalcino.

Contudo, um pouco caro. Entretenimento 7 Mesmo com 2 tvs no quarto nenhuma delas tinha possibilidade de logar netflix. Para um hotel desse padrao nao comsigo entender tal fato.

My review starts with hesitation,but it's important for potential guests. Despite its beautiful appearance, this resort disappoints. It's labeled as 5 stars, but falls far short, lacking in both quality and service.Staff struggle with English, rooms are outdated and unclean,with moldy carpets and worn-out towels.Basic amenities like coffee and water are not provided.Comparing it to other 5star properties in Tuscany, it's a huge letdown.Even the dining experience was subpar,with overcooked pasta and poorly prepared duck. Watching their failed attempt to cook the duck was like witnessing a culinary disaster movie.Our waiter, in a misguided attempt to be friendly, veered into awkward oversharing territory. And to add insult to injury, Marcelo charged us an arm and a leg for a couple of drinks. My gripe wasn't just about the hefty bill, but the blatant lack of respect.It felt like they were trying to milk us dry with those jaw-dropping charges. Skipping ahead to the next day, we decided to brave breakfast in the dining area.Sadly, the only thing worth swallowing was the coffee.That evening, we ventured into Montalcino for dinner—I just couldn't stomach another night of Italy's most lackluster cuisine. No hay buenos servicios. Tuve que pedir hicieran la cortesía de noche en mi habitación. Muebles muy maltratados viejos. Tuve que pedir más agua no dejan suficiente. Si quieres algún huevo especial en el desayuno debes pagar más. Nunca me ofrecieron ascenso de habitación gratis. El elevador no funciona. Tuve que pedir que pusieran camastros en Mi terraza pues no tenía. Me pidieron propina para todo el stag al hacer mi check out. Y eso nunca me había pasado En res La. Omisa no es buena

First of all the views are to die for. Few issues I had and I’m going to keep it short, bath would not drain, we asked for maintenance to come out but after two attempts nothing was improved. Make sure to make reservations, even with a half board they had issues accommodating us. We found bugs in our room which was report to the staff. Overall we will not be returning. The staff is nice but no accommodation was made for my stay with these issues it was easier for me just to pay my tab and leave.

Love the castle, it is lovely. The thermal spa is nice, the spa is good. The food is excellent. The only thing that was not pleasant was the air conditioner was not working. We opened the door to the terrace which is beautiful but there were mosquitos and ants in the bed that I was not able to sleep well for two nights.

The location is beautiful. Its a 2 to 3 star not a 5. Needs lots of work. Has bugs and animals in room. They are thiefs, they lied and abused us financially from the moment we walked in. uprofessional.

Amazing place and location. Breathtaking views, beautiful outdoor and indoor pools with thermal water, luxurious spa. Wonderful restaurant with the best Tuscan specialties, second to none wine list. Beautiful room with own private garden, entire property and gardens impeccably maintained, peaceful surroundings typical of the Tuscany hills. The best wineries of the famous Brunello all within a 15-minute drive, Siena, San Gimignano and other historic places reachable in an hour or less. A truly unforgettable experience.

Das Hotel ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung, das äussere Erscheinungsbild als auch das Personal sind gut. Allerdings haben sie mafiöse Preise. Wir hatten eine Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmern für 900 CHF. Das Zimmer ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt wenig modern. Die Badezimmer waren alt und sehr klein, die Betten durchgelegen. Der Spa ist ein Thermalbad, allerdings funktioniert die Hälfte nicht, Licht viel aus, Experience-Duschen funktionierten nicht, und das ganze wirkt ziemlich lieblos und nicht besonders gepflegt. Der Hammer war jedoch das Restaurant. 40 € für eine einfache Pasta, das Filletsteak war garniert mit kalten Kartoffeln, verwelktem Salat und ein Paar Tomaten, das Ganze wurde als Gemüse verkauft. Der Wein (Brunello aus der Region) startete bei 120 € die Flasche, Wein aus der eigenen Produktion bei 200 € die Flasche. Hinzu kommen stolze 10% Service-Charge auf die Gesamt-Rechnung, dem Kellner schien das Ganze sehr unangenehm zu sein, der meinte die 10% seien für die "property". Das Ganze die Krönung aufgesetzt hat jedoch das Wasser für das Zimmer, man wollte mir dies mit 8€ die Flasche verrechnen, das Ganze auf der Restaurant-Rechnung, mit zusätzlich 10 % Service-Charge. Honeymoon trip. I liked it more than my husband but we look for different things. He was very disappointed with the bedrooms. Not much space. It felt like we were sleeping in the same room as the bathroom. But the view from the bedroom was spectacular. The pools were absolutely gorgeous. The spa doesn’t open until noon. And the sauna was never hot. We would have liked to go earlier. One thing to note: if you book on Expedia the spa (saunas, steam room, salt bath) is not included when otherwise it is. The staff told us it was included and then at checkout they tried to charge us $50/each per day we used it. So just fyi- it is not free. The food at the restaurant is great for breakfast but not worthy the money for dinner. You will pay $160 for a steak that feeds 3 people (no option for less) and it will be the most mediocre steak of your life. It will be unforgettable since you’ll regret the choice! Better off eating dinner in Montalcino.

No hay buenos servicios. Tuve que pedir hicieran la cortesía de noche en mi habitación. Muebles muy maltratados viejos. Tuve que pedir más agua no dejan suficiente. Si quieres algún huevo especial en el desayuno debes pagar más. Nunca me ofrecieron ascenso de habitación gratis. El elevador no funciona. Tuve que pedir que pusieran camastros en Mi terraza pues no tenía. Me pidieron propina para todo el stag al hacer mi check out. Y eso nunca me había pasado En res La. Omisa no es buena

First of all the views are to die for. Few issues I had and I’m going to keep it short, bath would not drain, we asked for maintenance to come out but after two attempts nothing was improved. Make sure to make reservations, even with a half board they had issues accommodating us. We found bugs in our room which was report to the staff. Overall we will not be returning. The staff is nice but no accommodation was made for my stay with these issues it was easier for me just to pay my tab and leave.

Hotel distante 11 km do centro Montalcino (difícil de achar). Fica numa colina, num lugar simplesmente deslumbrante. O Hotel é simplesmente espetacular em suas instalações. A chegada é no meio de ciprestes, o lobby da recepção é lindo, os quartos são excelentes, o spa com as piscinas de águas termais são maravilhosas com a vista para a Toscana. PORÉM os colaboradores não são muito prestativos e atenciosos, “pecando” em coisas simples. OUTRO PORÉM …. O JANTAR NO RESTAURANTE É PÉSSIMO (não jante no hotel) e não tem nada perto; programe-se para jantar em outro lugar. Cardápio restrito, preços abusivos (cobraram 20 euros de uma salada só de alface), pratos RUINS, porções restritas e sem sabor algum. UM HORROR. PÉSSIMO CUSTO BENEFÍCIO. Os garçons fazem um show que não leva a simplesmente NADA. Não me importo em pagar mais caro quando a comida é boa e sou bem servido. We stayed two nights midway through travelling around Tuscany. It was a lovely peaceful break for us. We felt very pampered by all of the staff who were superb. Dining by the pool area was lovely. A very happy couple of days.

The property was exquisite. The view spectacular and the staff top notch. The indoor and outdoor thermal pools and sauna made our stay very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

Our second stay at CDV. Such a special place in Tuscany. The hotel has made many improvements since our last stay, and has nothing but 5 star amenities, the friendliest staff, and the incredible castle hotel with views of the Tuscan countryside. This is world class luxury. The spa is in a league of its own, the restaurant and chefs are making top quality cuisine. I can not wait to come back!

Me and my wife stayed there for our honeymoon. We had an exceptional time. The service was exceptional. The pools and amenities were very nice. Great! Breakfast was just free. Located close to montel Chino and many great wineries. Specifically, we really enjoyed the wine tasting. The entire staff were great but here were some standouts , We were helped by Kristian who made us feel extremely welcomed and Morris who performed our wine tasting and he was an exceptional. Strong recommendation, great value.

Hotel distante 11 km do centro Montalcino (difícil de achar). Fica numa colina, num lugar simplesmente deslumbrante. O Hotel é simplesmente espetacular em suas instalações. A chegada é no meio de ciprestes, o lobby da recepção é lindo, os quartos são excelentes, o spa com as piscinas de águas termais são maravilhosas com a vista para a Toscana. PORÉM os colaboradores não são muito prestativos e atenciosos, “pecando” em coisas simples. OUTRO PORÉM …. O JANTAR NO RESTAURANTE É PÉSSIMO (não jante no hotel) e não tem nada perto; programe-se para jantar em outro lugar. Cardápio restrito, preços abusivos (cobraram 20 euros de uma salada só de alface), pratos RUINS, porções restritas e sem sabor algum. UM HORROR. PÉSSIMO CUSTO BENEFÍCIO. Os garçons fazem um show que não leva a simplesmente NADA. Não me importo em pagar mais caro quando a comida é boa e sou bem servido. Amazing place and location. Breathtaking views, beautiful outdoor and indoor pools with thermal water, luxurious spa. Wonderful restaurant with the best Tuscan specialties, second to none wine list. Beautiful room with own private garden, entire property and gardens impeccably maintained, peaceful surroundings typical of the Tuscany hills. The best wineries of the famous Brunello all within a 15-minute drive, Siena, San Gimignano and other historic places reachable in an hour or less. A truly unforgettable experience.

Das Hotel ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung, das äussere Erscheinungsbild als auch das Personal sind gut. Allerdings haben sie mafiöse Preise. Wir hatten eine Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmern für 900 CHF. Das Zimmer ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt wenig modern. Die Badezimmer waren alt und sehr klein, die Betten durchgelegen. Der Spa ist ein Thermalbad, allerdings funktioniert die Hälfte nicht, Licht viel aus, Experience-Duschen funktionierten nicht, und das ganze wirkt ziemlich lieblos und nicht besonders gepflegt. Der Hammer war jedoch das Restaurant. 40 € für eine einfache Pasta, das Filletsteak war garniert mit kalten Kartoffeln, verwelktem Salat und ein Paar Tomaten, das Ganze wurde als Gemüse verkauft. Der Wein (Brunello aus der Region) startete bei 120 € die Flasche, Wein aus der eigenen Produktion bei 200 € die Flasche. Hinzu kommen stolze 10% Service-Charge auf die Gesamt-Rechnung, dem Kellner schien das Ganze sehr unangenehm zu sein, der meinte die 10% seien für die "property". Das Ganze die Krönung aufgesetzt hat jedoch das Wasser für das Zimmer, man wollte mir dies mit 8€ die Flasche verrechnen, das Ganze auf der Restaurant-Rechnung, mit zusätzlich 10 % Service-Charge. Das Hotel ist der Nepp und man verscheissert hier die Kunden. Nicht zu empfehlen und bitte meiden. Solche Methoden zerstören das Bild vieler guter Hotels.

The property was exquisite. The view spectacular and the staff top notch. The indoor and outdoor thermal pools and sauna made our stay very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

Honeymoon trip. I liked it more than my husband but we look for different things. He was very disappointed with the bedrooms. Not much space. It felt like we were sleeping in the same room as the bathroom. But the view from the bedroom was spectacular. The pools were absolutely gorgeous. The spa doesn’t open until noon. And the sauna was never hot. We would have liked to go earlier. One thing to note: if you book on Expedia the spa (saunas, steam room, salt bath) is not included when otherwise it is. The staff told us it was included and then at checkout they tried to charge us $50/each per day we used it. So just fyi- it is not free. The food at the restaurant is great for breakfast but not worthy the money for dinner. You will pay $160 for a steak that feeds 3 people (no option for less) and it will be the most mediocre steak of your life. It will be unforgettable since you’ll regret the choice! Better off eating dinner in Montalcino.

A very elegant old vineyard with an amazing view! The quality of the restaurant was very high. Spa and pool area with thermal source makes it an all year round destination. Only minus is that it is quite expensive and that it is remote in location and very expensive to go around the area by taxi / hotel transport. Bring your own car is recommended. The hotel staff was very service minded.

BUT: food & drinks in the hotel are very overpriced (for exemple: 12 EUR for a Coca Cola - 32 EUR for a Spritz - 265 EUR for +/- 1,2 kg of BBQ-meat (that was also cold!) and so on… You also have to know that the pool-watertemperature is about 36 degrees … hot… For the rest: great experience!
