There are rare times when you schedule a stop on a trip, that you find the most incredible place to stay. Magnolia Manor & Chapel, owned and operated by Lee and Lyne Sands, is one of those magnificent places. Lee and Lyne bought this old church and turned it into, not just overnight lodging, but a real event venue. The rooms where you stay are so charming & are each decorated individually. Our room included absolutely everything we would need for a stay. We felt very spoiled. When we walked down the stairs to the dining room, it blew our minds. It was decorated so delightfully. We smelled something good cooking. Oh my gosh, our drinks arrived along with a plate of french toast sticks. When I found out they were gluten-free I was in seventh heaven. Next came the enticing mixed fruit. We then enjoyed scrambled eggs (egg whites!) bacon, and the most delicious hash brown casserole I’ve ever had. Now that, is A BREAKFAST. They also serve lunch and offer brunch on Saturday & Sunday They also have a building in the back with a beautiful patio to listen to different bands while you have drinks and light food. Right now I believe it operates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also have the most splendidly redone chapel. Wonderful place to have a small wedding or celebration. All in all, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through that area. It’s not far off the highway between Memphis and Nashville.

Who wouldn't want to know what it would feel like to stay overnight in a church?! This place is unique! It is very well designed, with all of the modern amenities you would expect, and it is super clean, very comfortable beds, and even has bathrobes ready for your use. Extras that you would not expect, but are super cool, are the Speakeasy and a beer garden on the weekends (we missed these as our travel was mid-week), and a coffee shop in the basement that opens at 6 a.m., which we utilized twice. Some street noise, as the church is located on a corner with a stoplight, but not enough to detract from this very unique experience! Loved walking the small town, too, and checking out Moore Interiors design store across the street, Nails of Grace, and the awesome watercolor exhibit at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center. Cute town; awesome lodging!

This was a very nice surprise stay. Beautiful old building, the Chapel is lovely. The white linen breakfast was first class...the Speak Easy food was great as well....the only thing I would suggest...a step up to the bed (for the old people)....it is very high off the floor and hard to navigate for someone older, however the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time speaking to the owner who was just so sweet. I would give the whole experience an 10 for sure.....
