I really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting castles after a long overseas flight. The hotel was conveniently located. The staff was delightful. Dining was excellent as was the pub.

Whole experience, hotel, amenities, breakfast, room and staff amazing. Woukd wholeheartedly recommend a stay. Only small issue was car park which was small and difficult to get in and out of spaces especially when large vehicles were parked. I saw several patrons struggling to manoeuvre their cars in and out.

We needed somewhere in westerham and this fitted the bill, very nice, easy to find easy to park, breakfast was 10/10 , the food (evening) looked fantastic, what I saw coming out, we didn’t eat as we went to a private party function, my only gripe was for me personally the mattress was to soft

I stayed on Saturday 13th May, 2023 and it had been at least 7 years since I last visited, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find the venue had been completely refurbished and looked nothing like the old dark and dreary pub I remembered. The staff were helpful and friendly with brilliant service. We did find a dirty glass in the room but the hotel staff were quick to get this replaced. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and we had an amazing night sleep. There was also access to a private quite lounge, which came with complementary whisky, although we didn't use it felt calm and peaceful, a perfect place to read. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the service was brilliant. The only negative comment is the price of the food and wine was a bit higher than we had expected, Red Rioja was £43 for a bottle, although there are cheaper wines available.

The place was great - lovely downstairs pub atmosphere and tasty food. The manager was really friendly and the room was excellent. Lots of lovely little touches which made the experience special like the cosy quiet room upstairs with complimentary drinks and real coffee and milk in the room.

What an absolute wonderful place . All the rooms are named after dragons and of course there is a George room too . Room was gorgeous, clean and very spacious. Staff were so helpful, above and beyond. Breakfast was lovely too . We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back . Andy C

Lovely hotel, clean, warm and with great staff. Comfortable beds and pillows too. Well worth the stay, newly refurbished. One negative was the lack of mainstream apple cider, but you can’t have everything! Very near to Hever Castle and Chartwell House. Village High Street, several good restaurants too!

Stylish and immaculate hotel in the centre of beautiful Westerham. Really quirky, tastefully furnished and interesting rooms. Loved the sloe gin in the room. Friendly, attentive staff. Very good food. Lots of interesting attractions nearby. We enjoyed the spectacular bluebell banks at Emmets Garden. We’ll be back.

We stayed in Idris. While comfortable and clean, there is almost no storage in the room and it's not really suitable for anyone over 5ft10in due to a low beam. While the breakfast service was frendly we felt it could have been more proactive towards the wants of the guests. For instance a couple clearly wanted a window table that had not been cleared. However, while this was observed by the staff, they were clearly expected to use the tables that were laid. This was not the only incident where it appeared that staff acted in ways that were more to do with minimizing the work-load than giving the customers the nicest experience.

We stayed for two nights in January 23. We had a deluxe room which was absolutely fabulous and newly refurbished. There were lots of special touches such as free sloe gin and whiskey, chocolates, lovely coffee. The breakfast was also of a really high quality. This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. We’d thoroughly recommend.

The room was amazing, such a good size and the bed massive and comfy. It was clean and tidy, so many nice little features in the room too. The decor was so to our taste it was perfect. The bathroom was a really good size too, with a big and a lovely bath! The breakfast was really good too, lovely service didn’t feel rushed or pushed to order to leave. Cannot fault the place.

When booking very misleading and paid top price and was expecting the top room On walking into room my husband nearly knocked himself out because of low beam and fell over and then the young lady said I was going to tell you about the low beam but it was to later. There is no sign saying mind your head walking in to room Room was very noisy with cars driving past and bottle collection at 6am. Would not stay again

Great place with fantastic staff. The room was also great with lots of nice touches, particularly the digital radio and good quality coffee. But, unfortunately, the extremely soft bed was not comfortable at all and spoiled it for me I'm afraid. Everything else fantastic, just firmer beds please!

Very much recommended! Lovely spacious room with a king size bed that was very comfortable (room named Copper Grey ) it had a roll top bath and large shower, lots of nice extras, good tea/coffee, sloe gin, dyson fan, lovely toiletries, dressing gowns Food was very nice in the restaurant, plenty of veggie choice, and service was excellent Nice breakfast choices Pub was v busy after our meal so nowhere to sit, had to go to the pub over the road for a drink, but it was a friday night! Overall a lovely place to stay Westerham itself had 3 pubs, a wine bar or 2, lovely artisan shops and lots of cafe, coffes shops and restuarants

A one night stay only but in a cute village. The George & Dragon is a beautifully restored pub hotel. All the staff were charming and welcoming and our room and bathroom had been tastefully renovated. It was very comfortable with complimentary drinks had we wanted them and lots of Bramley products for our use. However, Westerham High St is busy so choose a room at the back and away from the main road as despite the double glazing it was noisy.

The George and Dragon is a high quality pub hotel, full of character and yet with modern and very well equipped rooms. Everything from the free gin, chocolates, bath robes and slippers was very much appreciated. The only downside was the tiny sink in what was a spacious bathroom.

What a super hotel, the staff are so welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Special thanks to the lady who helped with our bicycles, explained everything and showed us to our room (sorry we didn’t get names). Our room was bijou but perfect with some nice chilled music on arrival, a fab coffee machine along with quality tea bags, delicious shortbread and even a complimentary tipple. Comfortable bed and excellent shower - we loved the room names too.

My partner and I arrived at The George & Dragon and was met by The very friendly Kate who checked us in and showed us to our room. On the way to our room we told Kate and her collegue Tracy that we had just got engaged that day. Our room was bright, clean and very welcoming. The bed was comfy and the room had a relaxing atmosphere. To our surprise, Kate and Tracy came to our room with an Ice bucket and Rosé bubbles, we were very taken back and it made our day even more special. It was above and beyond what we expected. The breakfast was excellent and had a good range if continental options. Would definietly stay here again!

Great hotel in a location close to some good National Trust properties such as Chartwell. Breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful. The staff we came into contact with were polite and friendly.

I really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting castles after a long overseas flight. The hotel was conveniently located. The staff was delightful. Dining was excellent as was the pub.

Great hotel in a location close to some good National Trust properties such as Chartwell. Breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful. The staff we came into contact with were polite and friendly.

A one night stay only but in a cute village. The George & Dragon is a beautifully restored pub hotel. All the staff were charming and welcoming and our room and bathroom had been tastefully renovated. It was very comfortable with complimentary drinks had we wanted them and lots of Bramley products for our use. However, Westerham High St is busy so choose a room at the back and away from the main road as despite the double glazing it was noisy.

Located in the heart of the town. The welcome at check in was warm and friendly. Free parking was available. The bedroom was located up a flight of stairs it clean and had everything we needed. We also ate in the restaurant which was a lovely as was the breakfast. All in all, a great place for a long weekend.

Lovely hotel, clean, warm and with great staff. Comfortable beds and pillows too. Well worth the stay, newly refurbished. One negative was the lack of mainstream apple cider, but you can’t have everything! Very near to Hever Castle and Chartwell House. Village High Street, several good restaurants too!

Stylish and immaculate hotel in the centre of beautiful Westerham. Really quirky, tastefully furnished and interesting rooms. Loved the sloe gin in the room. Friendly, attentive staff. Very good food. Lots of interesting attractions nearby. We enjoyed the spectacular bluebell banks at Emmets Garden. We’ll be back.

Absolutely loved the George and Dragon. We stayed en route to the Channel Tunnel and also visited Chartwell. The hotel is in quaint Westerham. It has such character and the staff are excellent and so friendly. They are an asset. The room was nicely furnished and decorated with nice touches such as free gin, dressing gown and slippers, dab radio, decent coffee, tea and chocolate discs. Lovely toiletries and great shower. The included breakfast was served in the restaurant and there was a great choice of cooked to order items. We had dinner the night we arrived and it was interesting and well cooked. The restaurant has a lovely decor and views over the hills. I really enjoyed sitting in the lovely quiet room too and there are plenty of places to sit and relax downstairs. Only thing to point out is that people who struggle with stairs will find it hard as it is an old building. There is a disabled access room I believe. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

We stayed in Idris. While comfortable and clean, there is almost no storage in the room and it's not really suitable for anyone over 5ft10in due to a low beam. While the breakfast service was frendly we felt it could have been more proactive towards the wants of the guests. For instance a couple clearly wanted a window table that had not been cleared. However, while this was observed by the staff, they were clearly expected to use the tables that were laid. This was not the only incident where it appeared that staff acted in ways that were more to do with minimizing the work-load than giving the customers the nicest experience.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room and bathroom were incredibly comfortable and luxurious, with nice little touches that you don't tend to find elsewhere. The dinner and breakfast were also amazing, and chargers in the car park too. Hopefully back again soon!

The room was amazing, such a good size and the bed massive and comfy. It was clean and tidy, so many nice little features in the room too. The decor was so to our taste it was perfect. The bathroom was a really good size too, with a big and a lovely bath! The breakfast was really good too, lovely service didn’t feel rushed or pushed to order to leave. Cannot fault the place.

Very much recommended! Lovely spacious room with a king size bed that was very comfortable (room named Copper Grey ) it had a roll top bath and large shower, lots of nice extras, good tea/coffee, sloe gin, dyson fan, lovely toiletries, dressing gowns Food was very nice in the restaurant, plenty of veggie choice, and service was excellent Nice breakfast choices Pub was v busy after our meal so nowhere to sit, had to go to the pub over the road for a drink, but it was a friday night! Overall a lovely place to stay Westerham itself had 3 pubs, a wine bar or 2, lovely artisan shops and lots of cafe, coffes shops and restuarants

We were given a lovely suite at the roof level which was perfect except for the many stairs carrying luggage! However, the manager helped us.

Lodged with my wife for a night. Food was great, including breakfast. Has an old British charm, but it was incredibly small, the rooms, stairs well and hallways. The lodgings are above their pub in the town centre. Parking is behind the property with 4 EV charging bays.

The only problem as far as my wife and I were concerned were, front facing room (faced the high street) was a little noisy but the bigger concern was no blackout blind on the window and at 5 o’clock in the morning it seemed like someone had put all the lights on!! The room was very clean, the staff were excellent, breakfast was great all in all very happy apart from the above observation!
