We had a wonderful stay at Lockwood Hotel. After a week of stays in mediocre hotels, it was a welcome treat to spend a night here. The staff, service, cleanliness, room amenities, thoughtful touches etc. were exceptional.

Haven’t been to Waterville over the past few years— the Hotel is a really nice addition to an ongoing revival of the downtown area. Very pleasant surprise. Ate in the restaurant which was very good. Everything was spotless and it was also quiet— so often hotels have thin walls and/or weird AC or heat noises. None of that. Slept very well. Nice bath/shower, too. Definitely will recommend and would stay again.

We were heading into town to pick up a kid from camp. We needed a nice place to sleep and shower and this hotel had a very clean and comfortable bedroom and a nicely modern bathroom and standing shower (not needing to stand in a bathtub is a huge plus). Super easy and perfect for the purpose.

Room was very nice and comfortable. My only complaints would be that the toilet didn’t look like it had been cleaned well (ring around the toilet bowl) and the shower was extremely slow to clean and the top knob I think was broken. Overall a pleasant stay and it was nice to be able to walk everywhere.

Amazing hotel with amazing ambiance, service and the rooms are so nice! We stayed in the standard king, it had a gorgeous bathroom with a huge shower, and the room even had a sofa we could sit on comfortably and have a drink while watching TV. The comfort of the rooms were impressive.

This hotel is a year old and is immaculate and beautifully appointed. We stayed twice a few weeks apart. The rooms were a fair size and one was a corner with two windows. Well furnished. Had noisy air conditioning but reception explained how to turn it off. We had great desserts and cocktails in the elegant bar. Close to a street of great restaurants, especially 18 Below.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and this stay was WAY better than the first. I texted ahead and had a mini-fridge in my room which was a great experience. The front desk staff was so much better than last time. I loved the location of my room at the end of the hallway - it was all glass and then my room had two huge windows - one on each side - instead of the the usual one. Overall, I am very happy.

We had a great nights sleep here. The service was lovely. We called a little before we arrived as we had a change of plans since we were going to have a dog with us. They were very accommodating and they even had a care package for our puppy in the room including the cutest little lobster. Great place and really cute town. Definitely recommend!

We wanted to check out late because it was Christmas Day. On the phone, they said we could check out around 3-4pm. But once we arrived, they said we had to checkout at 2pm even after we paid an extra fee. We would have liked to spend the extra time with our family on Christmas Day.

Bar service was excellent, breakfast service was an only ok. Waited a long time for coffee, you had run out of standard breakfast items. Baked Beans and Sausage!! Should also have standard items like toast and croissants on the menu. Love the hotel. Rooms are great and very clean

Can not say enough about the Lockwood. The lobby feels like a warm and homey special club. The restaurant can compete with any 5-star, city experience. The staff is highly attentive and eager to assist.

Overall this is a very nice hotel. Well maintained, extremely clean, attractive lobby, comfortable beds. As another reviewer mentioned, the AC is very loud. My best suggestion is to keep the fan running continuously. It will still be very loud (necessary to drown out the traffic if you're facing Front St!) but not as bad as the constant on/off. The restaurant staff are very friendly. The bartenders act like they are in NYC - very dismissive and superior. Small town charm is what you have to offer, so offer it!

The hotel is unexpectedly lovely. The Lobby is amazing...large with many seating arrangements and two gas fireplaces. The bar is long and has really comfortable, stylish seats. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and nicely decorated. The only detriment was our dinner at the restaurant; the caesar salad was half an iceberg lettuce head, presented as such. We were told the yacos were pork but received salmon and they were very small. Breakfast a la carte was good.

Overall this is a very nice hotel. Well maintained, extremely clean, attractive lobby, comfortable beds. As another reviewer mentioned, the AC is very loud. My best suggestion is to keep the fan running continuously. It will still be very loud (necessary to drown out the traffic if you're facing Front St!) but not as bad as the constant on/off. The restaurant staff are very friendly. The bartenders act like they are in NYC - very dismissive and superior. Small town charm is what you have to offer, so offer it!

OPA Greek restaurant is a short walk and was exceptional. I’ve visited Greece twice and OPA was authentic. They also offered other alternatives. Provisions wine, beverage & specialty snacks holds wine tastings on Thursdays and other days during the week.

The property was really nice. The staff was excellent. Very comfortable too. The only complaint we have was the sound every time the HVAC kicked on. It was so loud! Sounded like a huge wind tunnel whenever it went on. Not sure whether it was just our room or if every room was like that but it woke us up every time it turned on and then it was hard to fall back asleep due to how loud it was. Hopefully they can remedy that issue.
