The Casa Morisca Hotel is a fantastically restored 15th century building which also has the modern features of a well run hotel. It is very atmospheric and stylish and we loved it. If travelling by car, the hotel will reserve a parking space outside which is extremely useful.

We had a wonderful stay at this historic property. Delightful Moorish details. Window overlooking a courtyard. Comfy bed. Good amenities. Included a lift. Breakfast was buffet with made to order omelets. Cozy and conducive to conversation with other guests. Beautiful view looking up to the Alhambra and convenient to the Plaza Nueva. Also right on the hop in/hop off us stop.

The interior design is visually pleasant, while the steps inside the room and between room and corridor require attention from the guest. It is important to follow the map instructions from the hotel if you come by car. It is easy to be lost otherwise.

Brilliant location - could see the Alhambra from outside the hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The hotel had a lot of character also. Parking was convenient but the drive through Grenada was quite slow as it was busy (we arrived at the weekend).

This is a charming boutique hotel at the base of the hill the Alhambra sits on. It is in a historic building with 15 rooms on two levels that all face a small, enclosed courtyard. Room has an electric hot water kettle which I appreciated for making tea and ramen. Breakfast buffet is minimal but adequate. There is no on-site dinner restaurant, but there are several on the adjacent street. Even though there is an elevator, most rooms require climbing additional stairs and my room even had steep stairs going to the bathroom. If you are mobility challenged this is not a good fit, but if not it is lovely. Being on a cobblestone street in the historic quarter makes it a bit difficult to get to if you are not arriving by taxi. Large vehicles (such as an SUV) will not make it and if you are a nervous driver or bad at following directions, you may want to stay somewhere with easier access. However, I made it and if you are comfortable following directions this is a nice small hotel with an ideal location.

Casa Morisca is located across the mote of the Alhambra fortress and almost directly beneath the Nasrin Palaces. The house was built in 1400’s CE or maybe even earlier. Wonderful atmosphere for time travelers! There’s a lovely court yard behind the building in addition to the frozen in time atrium. Don’t miss taking a look at the ancient water cistern in the far right corner of the atrium! Rooms above the ground level get a view of Nasrin Palace from the tiny balcony. The hotel offers parking, if requested in advance, for an absolute minimal fee. But getting to that parking through the 15th Century streets is challenging. So if you fell victim to the car rental’s size upgrade (get a smallest car possible and thank me later!) recommend parking outside the neighborhood and getting a cab. The street is noisy due to the restaurants lining the mote, which close at midnight. The jovial expletives of the food industry staff last well past that time. However! And take my words at the face value; if you’re serious about exploring Granada and Alhambra, you will sleep through all that like a baby! Yo will be grateful for excellent water pressure, modern plumbing, and access to everything Granada has to offer!

Clean and spotless room with a very comfortable bed, pillows, crisp soft linens, enough areas to open 2 carry on luggages, nice window with views of the Alhambra, bright and modern bathroom with generous toiletries, nice seating areas around, very charming small boutique hotel and a staff that’s ready to help and on duty even after midnight. Our ideal location as we love walking around a UNESCO designated neighborhood with shops, cafes, grocery, and flamenco shows just next door.

Casa Morisca is a truly charming hotel full of character—it was a real privilege to stay in a beautifully preserved property dating back to the Middle Ages. Despite its age, the structure is solid, thoughtfully designed, immaculately clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Getting there by car was tricky, even with the hotel’s directions, but the helpful and kind staff guided us patiently until we arrived. From check-in to check-out, the service was warm and professional. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. The location is fantastic walking distance to the Alhambra and the old town, with spectacular views. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable stay in Granada!

Lovely looking property with beautiful central courtyard. Room was small but very clean. No outside window and air conditioning apparently doesn’t work in February even when it’s very warm. Consequently 2 nights with very little sleep as room was very hot.

Directions from the hotel were terrible. We ended up using our own directions after many, many minutes and driving around. Parking was reasonable, but extremely tight and a challenging drive. Wifi was v slow. However, extremely charming and in a great location. Staff were great. May not go back, but would recommend it, for those that like an adventure.

A small very atmospheric serene hotel. The rooms are on the small side but the amenities were lovely and it was the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in during almost 3 months of travel.

Nice authentic building and great location. Old amenities and disappointing view from room number 4 …I should have called before making the reservation to check if I could have had the really nice Superior Double room with the tilted ceiling (in the picture gallery). It seems some rooms are soundproofed…for sure mine wasn’t.

The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the Alhambra, the room was clean (though quite compact) and the staff was courteous. It would be an improvement if a small pod style coffee machine was added as an amenity in the room, since only instant coffee and a kettle were provided in room.

This is a quiet place at the end of a very busy street. It was a little scary getting through the narrow streets to get there, but once we were parked we didn’t need to use the car again.We had great views of the Alhambra from our small balcony too.

Warning: steep stairs leading up to our bathroom (for those who get up at night). Warm weather had us leaving windows open, and there were no screens, as typical of the area. This hotel is simply wonderful. The staff is excellent, the hotel lovely and comfortable and I believe this is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had room 11 which had a tiny balcony that overlooks The Alhambra, a beautiful view at any time of day. They have a breakfast option which we usually pass on, but here it was well priced, convenient and charming. In addition to a full spread of usual breakfast items, you can also have fried eggs or an omelette prepared just for you. Coffee was good too. The hotel is in a house built in the early 1500s and has a beautiful interior courtyard with a nice lounge area to relax in. On check out day our train did not leave until 4pm and Victor at front desk held our luggage and kept my backpack in secure location so we could explore. Ask for restaurant recommendations; there are some great places within 5 min walk around Plaza Nuevo and lots to see during your walk there. Be aware there are steps in some unusual places due to the building conversation, so if you have mobility issues ask some questions. Prior to arrival you will receive detailed instructions about how to get to hotel as there is restricted access. These only apply if you are driving. If by taxi, you can disregard- taxis have access to the street. We would love to stay here again! Great hotel.

Casa Morisca is a truly charming hotel full of character—it was a real privilege to stay in a beautifully preserved property dating back to the Middle Ages. Despite its age, the structure is solid, thoughtfully designed, immaculately clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Getting there by car was tricky, even with the hotel’s directions, but the helpful and kind staff guided us patiently until we arrived. From check-in to check-out, the service was warm and professional. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. The location is fantastic walking distance to the Alhambra and the old town, with spectacular views. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable stay in Granada!

Finding the hotel by car would have been a lot easier only using google maps instead of the whatsapp instructions the hotel provided which were too detailed and confusing. Granada is a wonderful city. For walking in, not driving. Thus, once parked, all is well. The hotel itself was very charming, breakfast good, area fantastic. On our late arrival the receptionist got us a reservation to a really good restaurant at a nearby place with perfect views of the Alhambra. Very much appreciated that kind of service 😊.

Feels historic and totally appropriate for a visit to the Alhambra and the Albaicin. The walk to the former is no joke -- it's up a steep hill -- but it's convenient. I wouldn't call the hotel modern but the bed was comfortable, the rooms were quiet and the prices were fair.

Casa Morisca is located across the mote of the Alhambra fortress and almost directly beneath the Nasrin Palaces. The house was built in 1400’s CE or maybe even earlier. Wonderful atmosphere for time travelers! There’s a lovely court yard behind the building in addition to the frozen in time atrium. Don’t miss taking a look at the ancient water cistern in the far right corner of the atrium! Rooms above the ground level get a view of Nasrin Palace from the tiny balcony. The hotel offers parking, if requested in advance, for an absolute minimal fee. But getting to that parking through the 15th Century streets is challenging. So if you fell victim to the car rental’s size upgrade (get a smallest car possible and thank me later!) recommend parking outside the neighborhood and getting a cab. The street is noisy due to the restaurants lining the mote, which close at midnight. The jovial expletives of the food industry staff last well past that time. However! And take my words at the face value; if you’re serious about exploring Granada and Alhambra, you will sleep through all that like a baby! Yo will be grateful for excellent water pressure, modern plumbing, and access to everything Granada has to offer!

Incredible location! The room had an AMAZING view of the Alhambra even from the bathroom. Even though it was right in the middle of amazing shops, restaurants, and only a 10-15 minute walk from the Alhambra entrance, it still felt peaceful and a bit off the beaten path on its little cobblestone side street. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff was truly amazing and took great care of us the whole time. Will definitely book again!

Quietly placed in an old residence in an attractive part of Granada with views to the Alhambra. Well appointed smallish rooms. Excellent sustaining breakfasts( but no other meals). Friendly helpful staff. All in all a great place to stay. There are regular local shuttle buses. Even so you need a degree of personal mobility for the steep environs.

Brilliant location - could see the Alhambra from outside the hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The hotel had a lot of character also. Parking was convenient but the drive through Grenada was quite slow as it was busy (we arrived at the weekend).

This is a charming boutique hotel at the base of the hill the Alhambra sits on. It is in a historic building with 15 rooms on two levels that all face a small, enclosed courtyard. Room has an electric hot water kettle which I appreciated for making tea and ramen. Breakfast buffet is minimal but adequate. There is no on-site dinner restaurant, but there are several on the adjacent street. Even though there is an elevator, most rooms require climbing additional stairs and my room even had steep stairs going to the bathroom. If you are mobility challenged this is not a good fit, but if not it is lovely. Being on a cobblestone street in the historic quarter makes it a bit difficult to get to if you are not arriving by taxi. Large vehicles (such as an SUV) will not make it and if you are a nervous driver or bad at following directions, you may want to stay somewhere with easier access. However, I made it and if you are comfortable following directions this is a nice small hotel with an ideal location.

If you don’t mind noise or you’re very quiet it’s fine but you can literally hear a pin drop in every room and lobby. They got very upset when we wanted a bed together not two twins and the breakfast looked gross. Location was decent and it was cute but wouldn’t stay again

Great location near foot of Alhambra in a quiet side street. Beautiful old building, nicely restored. Charming room. Breakfast not included and from other reviews it didn’t sound worth paying €15 for so we went out. The only reason I marked it down was the sound of an upstairs room’s bathroom water loudly rushing down the pipes through our bathroom which woke me up a few times.
