Pros: The staff is very kind and helpful. Service is great. Susana from Jellyhouse was amazing! Pool was clean. The food was decent. Magic show, variety show and beach party was fun Cons: The resort is big so the amenities were far and slightly challenging to walk. The kids waterpark was closed for maintenance during our 8 days stay. We had particularly booked because of waterpark for our 4 year old. The sales team can be a little aggressive.

Honest review: We were here for our honeymoon and birthdays and stayed on the el beso side. Nov 13-20. We were not privilege or members, just regulars. And no was not payed to write this, just thought it might help some. Pros: ✅Lazy river (recommend bringing your own floats) As much as you try to avoid getting wet, you’ll get soaked in some spots. Great to cool off in. Is a circle so you can just keep going or get off at the pool bar. ✅Market sellers (found they didn’t hassle much) Was able to use Canadian dollars too. Just think it’s a bit of a hassle for them to exchange but they’ll take it. ✅Adult pool- party pool. So many activities and the blue team was a hype. ✅Japanese Resturant (was neat seeing them make dinner and entertain) ✅Italian Resturant (amazing chicken parm and cannolis) Also cool they have a wine and ceaser salad cart that comes around to the tables. ✅ Wednesday dinner buffet at El Marcado (All). Had Mexican. So many options! ✅ Ocean burger. Had the Mexican burger. ✅ Fish fingers at the Pez Dama. Jerk chicken for dinner was good too. ✅ Mikes coffee 🙌🙌 their breakfast breads are great too. ✅ Icecream place yummm ✅ Staff: Shoutout to butler Jose Miguel! ✅ Other tourists. Found it so neat to see so many different people from all over the world. Used to traveling to Mexico and only seeing Americans/Fellow Canadians ✅ Drinks: Great. Try the passion fruit margarita. Had at the adult pool 🙌

This was a beautiful property but is still going through construction. I loved that we were upgraded to a nicer suite and the room was very spacious. We did want the jacuzzi that was on the roof top cleaned and asked if it could be but it seemed like they forgot. This wasn’t a big deal but something to note. I also liked that the property was very walkable and right on the beach. The only reason I have this place four stars was because we were pressured into listening to things for timeshare stuff and blah blah and it just felt like for the first time traveling to another country my husband and I had a hard time getting no across to the staff. Other than that the property was beautiful.

All pools around the property we're excellent, the blue team does a decent job with entertainment. Room service was terrible, literally hours to get a bucket of ice most days and ocean eats would often deliver unedible burgers. Guest experience representative never answered any Whatsapp messages. El Beso by night (beach bar)was open 1x in 10 days leaving nothing on el beso open after 6pm which is ridiculous. Hot tub took nearly 4hrs to fill, which is completely unacceptable. Honestly if it wasnt for the Blue Team and the other patrons i would give the resort 1 star.

Positives: -Staff was very friendly and always willing to help. -Pools and common areas were all very clean. -Most of the food was very good which is a great complement as Im picky with food coming from New York City area. -Atmosphere is very upscale -A lot of choices for things to do and restaurants to go too. Negatives that I personally found: -My main negative is how many people tried to sell us stuff!! Every day multiple times a day I had people asking if I want to do paid activities, paying for photos taken of us, people on the beach selling stuff, tables set up in the lobby area to buy stuff, and even wanting us to go to listen to a presentation for a free massage. This lowered my experience here a little bit. -Need more towels in pool areas. Found myself hunting down towels a lot -my room had 3 lights out in the room Overall I would recommend coming here as I went to the Hard Rock in Punta Cana which was more expensive and had just as great of an experience as there especially for a couple or an adult. The separate El Beso areas were great!

This resort was phenomenal. Having the adults only part of the resort and peaceful. The service was great, the food was great. Definitely get a massage and the body scrub at their spa. We cannot wait to visit again. The house keepers were attentive. The swim bar was excellent make sure you see Francis.

Check in was easy, fast friendly, the property itself was just as advertised is the photos, restaurant food is ok (except steakhouse which was DELICIOUS) buffet as well is ok, lots of variety a d options. The room we got was very nice, spacious comfortable but it had a humidity smell, even though they provided a dehumidifier it persisted, the mini fridge wasn't working properly but they exchanged it promptly (extra points for that). Common areas are super nice, pools are lovely but there are a couple of tiles missing which can cut you (I was lucky enough that it didn't cut me deep,but we saw a young man with a profound cut bleeding), the beach is nice and clean lobby is stunning. The staff is super friendly and helpful, 99% of the interactions with them always left us smiling. We have to shout-out Reinaldo Sánchez (guest experience specialist) who took care of our restaurant reservations, made sure we always had the daily schedule of activities and resolved every request and issue super fast and always with a smile.

Spent 4 nights here and it was a very relaxing vacay. Started out questionable when our El Beso rooftop suite had an AC leak. Our Expedia Concierge/Butler José came and immediately upgraded us to a beautiful ocean front room 14105. The bed/pillows gave us the best rest we've ever had. Good- The food was really good here. José made our reservations each night. Mike's coffee shop is a must. Route 66 is open 11pm-6am for late night snacks. Drinks made with quality Barcelo rum for our favorite Caipirinha. Stohl vodka, Jose Cuervo were other brands included. We didn't feel the need to upgrade. Entertainment is standard.Nightly we hung out in the square until well after 11pm. The lazy river was the highlight of our trip. You'd think it's for kids, but it was mostly adults! They had a very large kids waterpark too. They provide free rides to World Mart for souvenirs and cigar shopping. Good prices. The Bad- no restaurant/bar schedule is dependable. You just had to go see what was open. They blame it on low season. Luckily José sent us daily info but what about people who didn't have butlers. Water in our shower was never hot. We didn't complain because we were happy about the upgrade. Room service is only free from lunch to 11pm. Never heard of breakfast being a fee at a resort. El Beso bar pool is murky and needs to be cleaned more often. The beach-since it's eroded, they don't maintain what little is left. No waiters, dirty cups/plates, trash. The staff makes this 4/5

Very clean and well kept resort. Workers were always cleaning or doing maintenance. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be better is the food. Also, room service is very minimal and not enough options. It would be nice to be able to order drinks to your room. If you’re on the el beso side try Pez Dema, best food on the entire resort. Would love to come back here!

We booked here for a week and ended up only staying one night and headed to another resort because this place was so bad. We got catfished by the beautiful photos of the place! Everything in our room was either broken or dirty and the room smelled. We were offered other rooms but didn't feel good about staying. It seemed like throughout the resort things were cheaply put together and not maintained well. We ate one dinner that was good, but had a burger from a snack stand that was the worst I've ever had. The patty was overcooked and guac was nasty and many others at the stand were receiving incorrect orders. The manager we worked with was very helpful and helped us get our money back, but every other staff member we interacted with was not helpful. At one point, a bellhop was lounging on a chair and vaping in front of us. I would NOT recommend coming here.

We really enjoyed the lazy river! What a beautiful feature! Our room was very very musty and damp (the floors stayed perpetually wet the whole stay). I don’t think the air conditioner was working. We asked twice for a dehumidifier but it was never delivered. Other than our room, we had a nice stay and would return!

Food is average nothing special, same daily in buffet area. Resto limited dinner options with prawns & mussels, unless you pay for lobster & tomahawk steak. Restaurant is okay in terms of getting a better service. Room cleaning floors and beddings daily is okay but can improve with properly wiping off common surfaces. Arrived with a sticky remote and phone as well. Family room needs updating as gaming tables are all broken. Game rooms offered for a fee are over priced for kids to enjoy including poor shaped billiard tables. Lazy river are dirty cloudy looking with floating stuff (body fluids of sort) not cleaned properly with some of the water falls broken/not working at all. Same dirty cloudy water condition on kids water park. Did not enjoy the beach as dirty seaweeds everywhere although manually cleaned are stinky to even lay down on the beach as located on Atlantic ocean, no clear turquoise water experience. Overall, average for a family with kids hotel

The weather was great during our stay, but the hotel itself was disappointing. The food was awful, and although they gave us “ocean bucks,” we couldn’t use them anywhere, which made them pointless. There were no convenient snack options, which was frustrating. The hotel room was okay, but it definitely could have been cleaner. Overall, not the best experience.

We saw a mouse during our first meal in the main buffet. It kind of ruined the whole vacation for us because we knew their hygiene standards are not great. It rained (not a lot) and there was water dripping into our room, in the spa, in the lobby and in the restaurants. Our toilet didn’t flush and they only sent someone to fix it three hours later after three phone calls. I would not recommend this hotel, better to pay a bit more and have peace of mind. It’s not five star by any means.

Very clean and well kept resort. Workers were always cleaning or doing maintenance. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be better is the food. Also, room service is very minimal and not enough options. It would be nice to be able to order drinks to your room. If you’re on the el beso side try Pez Dema, best food on the entire resort. Would love to come back here!

The hotel is kept well, the rooms are not cleaned properly. We had a dirty sheets. The mini bar was not replenished daily we had to keep reminding them. The service at the buffet both daytime and evening were horrible. On one occasion we just got up and left because no one was coming to our table with water and eating utensils. I’m never going back to this resort. Staff is extremely rude. This is my 6 time in DR and it has been the worst. The food was also mediocre.

I really enjoyed my swim up junior suite & the bartender lady that always made sure our cups were full! But we've had people just walk into our room without even knocking sometimes. Throughout our 6 day stay, it happened about 4 or 5 times. They would either knock once & walk in or not knock at all.. but just invite themselves in. I couldn't even find a "do not disturb" sign anywhere in the room to put on the door. The dining options were okay! The "you have to reserve early in the morning" just to have a good time for dinner were crazy. The Italian spot didn't have lasagna when I ordered and also gave us tiny portions. Hibachi was great but having so many people at one table leaves you with little portions of food. Margarita was great but service was slow & we had our room number down but everyone else was being seated before us, even though we were there before them! Route 66 was okay food, I felt like the hostess catered only to people that looked like her or talked like her.. but our waitress was fantastic! Our room was always clean and we always had towels! They cleaned the pools regularly which was also great! The alcohol was limited if you're not privileged.. as an "all inclusive" that was bogus. We could only have certain alcohol brands since we had "silver" bracelets. Our "ride" never picked us up at the desired time for our luggage's to be brought to the front for us to check out, so we walked. But overall, I had a great time. I would say 3.5/5 stars!

Our first room was not cleaned properly and it had a very bad smell so we had to request a room change. At first they were trying to send housekeeping to clean up the room but we just wanted an entirely different room. We received our new room and it was much better and we were pleased. The resort does an extermination and it was cockroaches crawling out from everywhere outside of our door. We had to place towels under the door so they couldn’t get in; it was really disgusting and gross. In addition to these hiccups the resort is huge and the grounds are very well kept and maintained. The staff there was really nice and greeted us with warm smiles. I had a concierge named Carlos buayone and he was awesome; he made sure our stay was comfortable and anything we needed he made sure that it got done. For example, booking the reservations for the speciality restaurants and making sure we had a trolley to take us to and from the restaurants. If it wasn’t for the few hiccups this resort would’ve been 5 stars. The food and drinks are good and there’s plenty of options for everyone.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and modern amenities like free Wi-Fi. The housekeeping staff did a great job each day. What really stood out to me was the service. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, including both local and international options. I stood in El Beso and had a very relaxing vacation. Ocean view was amazing

The loft room and rooftop was very nice! Carlos.B- our online concierge was very nice, quick with replies and very knowledgeable! He made the experience seamless! The beach was beautiful and the water was so clean! Overall, great time at ocean el faro!

The BEST FOOD IN THE DR.!!!! I'm coming back for that alone. Some areas of the beach are unsightly, guess they're working on something unknown to guests. My rooftop suite had everything I needed and more room than expected.

Check in was easy, fast friendly, the property itself was just as advertised is the photos, restaurant food is ok (except steakhouse which was DELICIOUS) buffet as well is ok, lots of variety a d options. The room we got was very nice, spacious comfortable but it had a humidity smell, even though they provided a dehumidifier it persisted, the mini fridge wasn't working properly but they exchanged it promptly (extra points for that). Common areas are super nice, pools are lovely but there are a couple of tiles missing which can cut you (I was lucky enough that it didn't cut me deep,but we saw a young man with a profound cut bleeding), the beach is nice and clean lobby is stunning. The staff is super friendly and helpful, 99% of the interactions with them always left us smiling. We have to shout-out Reinaldo Sánchez (guest experience specialist) who took care of our restaurant reservations, made sure we always had the daily schedule of activities and resolved every request and issue super fast and always with a smile.

Spent 4 nights here and it was a very relaxing vacay. Started out questionable when our El Beso rooftop suite had an AC leak. Our Expedia Concierge/Butler José came and immediately upgraded us to a beautiful ocean front room 14105. The bed/pillows gave us the best rest we've ever had. Good- The food was really good here. José made our reservations each night. Mike's coffee shop is a must. Route 66 is open 11pm-6am for late night snacks. Drinks made with quality Barcelo rum for our favorite Caipirinha. Stohl vodka, Jose Cuervo were other brands included. We didn't feel the need to upgrade. Entertainment is standard.Nightly we hung out in the square until well after 11pm. The lazy river was the highlight of our trip. You'd think it's for kids, but it was mostly adults! They had a very large kids waterpark too. They provide free rides to World Mart for souvenirs and cigar shopping. Good prices. The Bad- no restaurant/bar schedule is dependable. You just had to go see what was open. They blame it on low season. Luckily José sent us daily info but what about people who didn't have butlers. Water in our shower was never hot. We didn't complain because we were happy about the upgrade. Room service is only free from lunch to 11pm. Never heard of breakfast being a fee at a resort. El Beso bar pool is murky and needs to be cleaned more often. The beach-since it's eroded, they don't maintain what little is left. No waiters, dirty cups/plates, trash. The staff makes this 4/5

We stayed at Ocean El Faro from August 27th to September 3rd. Our check-in experience was very welcoming, and the staff treated us well upon arrival. We were told we would have an Expedia concierge, but it took about three days for him to finally connect with us. However, once we met our concierge, Kevin, he was a true blessing. He helped us with everything we needed and was fantastic at resolving any questions or issues we had. The first room we were assigned had a very strong, unpleasant smell of humidity. We had to request a room change, and thankfully, they moved us. The new room came with a dehumidifier, which helped a lot with the odor. Aside from that, the rooms themselves feel a bit old and could use some maintenance or a renovation. That said, the resort grounds and amenities are excellent. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, plus a great ice cream parlor. The food quality in the restaurants was consistently very good, and the coffee shop was our favorite spot. A general observation, however, was that the staff didn't seem very friendly. They rarely smiled and seemed tired from the large number of guests. One of the biggest negatives for us was the constant pressure from the timeshare sales team. They were very insistent, to the point where they would try to make you feel like a victim to get you to listen to their pitch, which was uncomfortable. In conclusion, the quality of the food and the excellent amenities make it a great value for the price.

We had a great stay at Ocean el Faro el Beso. Miguel our concierge from expedia was extremely helpful and followed up with hotel right away about any requests we had (housekeeping, decorating the room for my husband's birthday) On our last day Miguel had one of the restaurants surprise us with a birthday cake it was a really sweet gesture. The resort is beautiful and we liked the walk from our room to the amenities. Somethings that need to change is resort staff trying to be your concierge just to send the guest to a presentation for "membership" in exchange of a free gift. It was so annoying and the agents got upset when we declined to make any purchases. It took half of our day from vacation. They were disappointed as if we set this meeting with them and then declined to continue. Dont put off your guests like that. No one is coming on a vacation to spend more money on a membership. The 2nd thing i would suggest is to have housekeeping clean the rooms properly. Everything was cleaned on the surface but not deep cleaned. We dont eat meat traveling but there were enough option at the buffet for vegetarians. The lunch buffet has the most options. The restaurants were not bad, we enjoyed sakura and margareita. The italian place was horrible except the dessert was good. Thanks again Miguel for everything :)

He arranged all of our restaurant reservations seamlessly, making every night stress-free and perfectly planned. What really stood out was how genuinely caring and attentive he was—he even invited us to a beautiful dinner with a beach after-party, which became one of the highlights of our trip. This was our 11th visit to Ocean El Faro-El Beso. We were always greeted with friendly smiles and happy staff who work very hard day in and day out. Our butler Jose Miguel Jiminez was exceptional, attentive and checked in with us daily throughout our two week stay, even on his days off. A vacation is what you make of it- there was always plenty of good food to eat, our rooms were clean, the lagoon was beautiful and the weather was perfect! Looking forward to coming back again in a few months.

We arrived as a group of 50 and Kevin, our butler was fantastic! He was available day and night for us, whatever any of us needed he was on top of it. Even on his day off he was sure to get things done for us. Before arrival we were assuming we wouldn’t be able to have any dinners together seeing as how we were such a large group, but Kevin made it happen on 2 occasions for us and the other nights we were separated in 2 smaller groups. It was amazing! Kevin went out of his way to make sure we had 2 beautiful birthday celebrations with delicious cakes and the waiters made it so special by singing together. Thank you again Kevin, you made our big family vacation extra special 🙏

A special mention goes to our concierge, Jose Miguel Jimenez, for his attentiveness to our group, always communicating with us and responding to each of our requests. All the hotel facilities are clean and well-maintained, the food is delicious, but the best thing about the hotel is the people who work there

So let's see...started at check-in where we were given misleading info (were told we would get '$200 credit' to use) - luckily we never 'cashed' it cause we would have been charged. Once in the room, we were unable to close the door without slamming it; not truly fixed until day 4 of 6, and it still didn't properly close without force. Ocean Burger is horribly run (when we got there I wanted a quick bite, was there for over 30 mins and never saw a morsel of food). They basically don't give a FK. Ocean, spare me the ChatGPT comment.

The check-in process was extremely slow and drawn out. Although multiple representatives were available at the time, there was very little urgency in getting guests checked in and on their way. Room service was also disappointing. it often took up to two hours for orders to arrive, and I noticed on several occasions that items were marked as “delivered” nearly an hour before actually being received. The food quality overall was decent but not great. I had a bad experience at the Villa Marina restaurant. After eating there, I became sick later that night. However, the other restaurants offered decent food that I was able to enjoy without issue. The drinks and cocktails were okay, though it definitely took several to feel any effect. My room itself was comfortable, the bed was very nice, and the bathroom was average. However, the toilet seat was loose and not properly secured, and the floorboards along the bathroom walls looked dirty and were deteriorating. My room also did not have a microwave, which was inconvenient since I couldn’t warm up any food or leftovers. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They always had answers to my questions and were pleasant to interact with. One thing I did found frustrating was the number of people constantly trying to sell items such as jewelry and accessories right in the walkways and on the beach. They often stop guest as they pass by and try to make sales throughout the day, which became bothersome.

By far this is a top 5 location that I will be coming back to. Highlights - Clean location, clean beach, free of sea weed. Plenty of seating with shade and to tan, restruants were good food I would rate it a 6 out of 10. Our anniversary dinner on the beach at sunset was just amazing, the service and food on this resort for us hasn't been seen in a all time. The level of service was unmacthed even in the states. Our concierge, Jose Miguel Jimenez, WAS SUPER AMAZING!!!! This guy was there every step of the way to help schedule dinners, room service, questions, rides, just any and everything Jose helped us get or got for us. Truly he went ABOVE and BEYOND HIS CALL OF SERVICE FOR US!! Cons were not many. House keeping missed us a couple of days and Jose helped get it for us. The amount of cats freely roaming the grounds and begging for food was a little bit of an issue. I don't let my dogs at home sit in front of me an beg for food, so I don't want that on vacation or when I'm having a romantic anniversary dinner on the beach at sunset. Other then that we had an amazing time and again we will be coming back to this resort in the future.

This was a beautiful property but is still going through construction. I loved that we were upgraded to a nicer suite and the room was very spacious. We did want the jacuzzi that was on the roof top cleaned and asked if it could be but it seemed like they forgot. This wasn’t a big deal but something to note. I also liked that the property was very walkable and right on the beach. The only reason I have this place four stars was because we were pressured into listening to things for timeshare stuff and blah blah and it just felt like for the first time traveling to another country my husband and I had a hard time getting no across to the staff. Other than that the property was beautiful.

As per the resort very clean, family friendly resort. Staff were nice, helpful. Rooms very spacious, clean, bathrooms very spacious as well. Very easy to get around and all of the restaurants and necessities were easy to get to. If you like a relax family friendly resort then would highly recommend. Only issue was the beach due to seaweed season but other than that our stay here was great.

The loft room and rooftop was very nice! Carlos.B- our online concierge was very nice, quick with replies and very knowledgeable! He made the experience seamless! The beach was beautiful and the water was so clean! Overall, great time at ocean el faro!

We had a very pleasant stay at the property ! Our room was very nice and clean with a great view ! All the facilities like the restaurant and the pool were at a walkable distance which was great ! Our concierge Carlos Enrrique was also very helpful and assisted us very quickly with all our requests and reservations ! Would definitely recommend the resort and him to others !

Check in was easy, fast friendly, the property itself was just as advertised is the photos, restaurant food is ok (except steakhouse which was DELICIOUS) buffet as well is ok, lots of variety a d options. The room we got was very nice, spacious comfortable but it had a humidity smell, even though they provided a dehumidifier it persisted, the mini fridge wasn't working properly but they exchanged it promptly (extra points for that). Common areas are super nice, pools are lovely but there are a couple of tiles missing which can cut you (I was lucky enough that it didn't cut me deep,but we saw a young man with a profound cut bleeding), the beach is nice and clean lobby is stunning. The staff is super friendly and helpful, 99% of the interactions with them always left us smiling. We have to shout-out Reinaldo Sánchez (guest experience specialist) who took care of our restaurant reservations, made sure we always had the daily schedule of activities and resolved every request and issue super fast and always with a smile.

Spent 4 nights here and it was a very relaxing vacay. Started out questionable when our El Beso rooftop suite had an AC leak. Our Expedia Concierge/Butler José came and immediately upgraded us to a beautiful ocean front room 14105. The bed/pillows gave us the best rest we've ever had. Good- The food was really good here. José made our reservations each night. Mike's coffee shop is a must. Route 66 is open 11pm-6am for late night snacks. Drinks made with quality Barcelo rum for our favorite Caipirinha. Stohl vodka, Jose Cuervo were other brands included. We didn't feel the need to upgrade. Entertainment is standard.Nightly we hung out in the square until well after 11pm. The lazy river was the highlight of our trip. You'd think it's for kids, but it was mostly adults! They had a very large kids waterpark too. They provide free rides to World Mart for souvenirs and cigar shopping. Good prices. The Bad- no restaurant/bar schedule is dependable. You just had to go see what was open. They blame it on low season. Luckily José sent us daily info but what about people who didn't have butlers. Water in our shower was never hot. We didn't complain because we were happy about the upgrade. Room service is only free from lunch to 11pm. Never heard of breakfast being a fee at a resort. El Beso bar pool is murky and needs to be cleaned more often. The beach-since it's eroded, they don't maintain what little is left. No waiters, dirty cups/plates, trash. The staff makes this 4/5

We stayed at Ocean El Faro from August 27th to September 3rd. Our check-in experience was very welcoming, and the staff treated us well upon arrival. We were told we would have an Expedia concierge, but it took about three days for him to finally connect with us. However, once we met our concierge, Kevin, he was a true blessing. He helped us with everything we needed and was fantastic at resolving any questions or issues we had. The first room we were assigned had a very strong, unpleasant smell of humidity. We had to request a room change, and thankfully, they moved us. The new room came with a dehumidifier, which helped a lot with the odor. Aside from that, the rooms themselves feel a bit old and could use some maintenance or a renovation. That said, the resort grounds and amenities are excellent. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, plus a great ice cream parlor. The food quality in the restaurants was consistently very good, and the coffee shop was our favorite spot. A general observation, however, was that the staff didn't seem very friendly. They rarely smiled and seemed tired from the large number of guests. One of the biggest negatives for us was the constant pressure from the timeshare sales team. They were very insistent, to the point where they would try to make you feel like a victim to get you to listen to their pitch, which was uncomfortable. In conclusion, the quality of the food and the excellent amenities make it a great value for the price.

Had a great stay. It'd be nice if there were 1-2 more workers in the coffee shop as the line was long. The steakhouse was delicious. The italian one took forever for service. Juana at the lobby bar was amazing!

The room was beautiful and the cleaning service was consistent. The resort is beautiful and the lobby drinks were really good. The food was not that great it was edible but not the best. At Ocean burger I had a cold hot dog and there was a dead fly in my fries. The staff is not as interactive as other resorts I’ve been too but they are still very nice!

Positives: -Staff was very friendly and always willing to help. -Pools and common areas were all very clean. -Most of the food was very good which is a great complement as Im picky with food coming from New York City area. -Atmosphere is very upscale -A lot of choices for things to do and restaurants to go too. Negatives that I personally found: -My main negative is how many people tried to sell us stuff!! Every day multiple times a day I had people asking if I want to do paid activities, paying for photos taken of us, people on the beach selling stuff, tables set up in the lobby area to buy stuff, and even wanting us to go to listen to a presentation for a free massage. This lowered my experience here a little bit. -Need more towels in pool areas. Found myself hunting down towels a lot -my room had 3 lights out in the room Overall I would recommend coming here as I went to the Hard Rock in Punta Cana which was more expensive and had just as great of an experience as there especially for a couple or an adult. The separate El Beso areas were great!

Common areas are super nice, pools are lovely but there are a couple of tiles missing which can cut you (I was lucky enough that it didn't cut me deep,but we saw a young man with a profound cut bleeding), the beach is nice and clean lobby is stunning. The staff is super friendly and helpful, 99% of the interactions with them always left us smiling. We have to shout-out Reinaldo Sánchez (guest experience specialist) who took care of our restaurant reservations, made sure we always had the daily schedule of activities and resolved every request and issue super fast and always with a smile.

I loved the grounds, very clean and pretty. I did not care for the food too much. Besides El Mercados, there wasnt many options for breakfast and lunch. We ate at El Mercados for dinner the first night that we stayed and it was horrible. There should be more restaurants available for breakfast and lunch. The dinner options were fine. We ate at Sakura the 2nd night and it was just ok. The rice was crunchy ans our food was cold. The Italian restaurant was ok. My salmon was good. The Steakhouse was thw best 10 out of 10. The steaks were delicious. The ceasar salad was delicious. The carrot cake was delicious. Not a lot of activites though. But overall, I would give the resort 8/10.

The poolside restaurants only offer drinks. This isn't good. They need to have snacks around the pool. Unfriendly staff, very little information, and very poor shuttle service within the hotel. All the meat I tried in the restaurants, except for the Japanese restaurant and the Princess restaurant (both of which were very good), was very tough.

El Beso (per soli adulti) fa parte del El Faro (per famiglie). La gran parte delle aree del resort sono condivise tra clienti del El Beso e clienti del El Faro. Per chi come me cercava un hotel solo per adulti, El Beso NON è stata una buona scelta perché

This was our first time at this hotel. BRING your own shampoo and conditioner because they provide a combine 2-in 1 bottle that the staff mixes. I saw the separate bottles on the cleaning cart by the way. I did mention it to one of the staff. It was so bad that my hair tangled when applied. I think the hotel should have better quality products to make us feel worthy of our experience. This is my only complaint. Great coffee place and many food options without reservations. There was so much sargassum but that is nature. I would return back.

However, our first experience was disappointing. The first room we were given smelled strongly of mold. Even after we reported the issue, it took several hours for the staff to move us to another room. Because of this unnecessary delay, our first day of vacation was ruined. The rooms themselves were nice and comfortable. Some of the staff members were very kind, friendly, and helpful, while others came across as quite rude and arrogant. The food was good in some of the restaurants, but others were average and could definitely be improved. Despite the issues we experienced, we had a very good time overall and enjoyed our vacation. With better customer service and faster handling of problems like ours, the experience would have been much better.
