while the service was excellent the condition of the hotel was not. Carpets were extremely dirty throughout the hotel, rooms, hallways and stairs. The floor in our bathroom was buckleing due to water damage. The door in the bathroom was damaged and very difficult to close all the way let alone open. The show head was dirty and needs replacing. Ceiling in the pool is peeling. We will not be staying at your location again.

Not well maintained and not clean throughout the facility. Pool was out of order during our 2 night stay and at check out we learned it had been fixed 24 hours prior, however desk staff was not given the update!

This property is in desperate need of cleaning. Dirty hallways and gym, dirty elevator. Stained carpet. When I got to the hotel at 10 pm, the employee working checkout was hanging out in his car and came in to check me in, then gave me a room that had not been cleaned--the bed was unmade and there was garbage in the room. It took a long time to get the room switched. When I left the hotel in the morning to go for a run and then came back, they had disabled the key card. I went up to my room and then had to come back down to find an attendant, but she already was aware that my key card did not work because she immediately asked for my key and re-keyed it without asking what the issue was. Weights were missing from the gym, no complete set. No water or cleaning solutions in gym to wipe down equipment. Shockingly dirty and bad experience.

In all fairness we were a late check in, and found no one at the front desk - which was fine as they gave the number to call for assistance. The person that came to the front desk looked like a guested that was relaxing by the pool or lounge area, and almost was annoyed by us calling to get our keys to the room. Room was clean, bedding was fresh. Bathroom was clean, we only got 2 sets of towels for the family (we made it work). No garbage can in the bathroom, and there were holes in the wall where the hairdryer used to be. Lots of caulk in the corners, just painted over in a sloppy way along with the outlets. This is maintenance not cleaning staff as room was tidy. Breakfast was to be served between 7-10. We went down at 9 and already the pans with eggs and sausages were empty and we needed to ask the lady if there would be more coming. Glad I did as after us three families with small kids came down to grab some breakfast and they were explaining to kids they will have to go with toast for breakfast. Juice jar was empty too and she filled it 1/3rd just for it to be empty after 5 guests. Someone asked and she said there is no more juice. Which there was, she did not empty the jug she used to fill the guest jar. All small things, that does not make you feel welcome. Our key did not work with the pool area and there was a sign to ask staff for help. We did not feel comfortable asking after our experience for help anymore so we missed out on the pool too.

we didn't have a Ice bucket or microwave in our room. The elevator was slow and noisy and jerked when it stopped. The front door made a lot of noise when it opened. The breakfast was not good, not much selection and cold.

While the staff is friendly, the rooms aren’t clean. We had hair all over our bathroom counter, sink and bathtub. The bathroom counter looked as if someone had shaved it was so bad. We had a used coffee filter in our sink. Our TV stand was so dusty you could write your name on it. We had zero extra toilet paper with a roll that was practically empty. Another customer was waiting for their room to be finished getting cleaned at 8:30pm. Another customer had no bathroom towels. The employees park under the check-in overhang so it’s hard to get in at out upon check-in. The elevator keeps getting stuck and appears to be on its last cable. There was never anyone at the front desk. One employee had her boyfriend with her while she worked so they could chat. Not worth the price work so many other options available. We won’t be back.

While this property seemed fairly clean, it was very rundown. When we walked in, the chandelier in the entryway had lots of dead bugs in it, there were cob webs, the young man mopping the floor was playing loud music with vulgar lyrics dropping the “f-bomb” frequently, and there was no air conditioning in the elevator. There was also a ceiling panel missing in the elevator and large areas of paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling of our room. The towels were awful and we had to ask for more as there weren’t enough for our stay. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

The beds were decently comfortable and the Air conditioning worked well, but that's about all I can say that was good. The bathroom door would barely open over the uneven tile, the included breakfast was pretty flavorless and underwhelming. They had three containers of unsweetened corn flakes and no other cereal options. There were no towels in the pool area and then when we asked they brought down 4 towels.

Stayed here one night while traveling from UP in Michigan to home. Good hotel for the money, considering the area. Safe, easy access to Interstate & dining, and comfortable rooms. Pool open late too!!

The room was gross. there were stains on the comforter and on the pillows if you look behind the TV, there were balls of dust and anything that had been thrown behind there by previous guests. under the desk area was leftover food from what looked like pizza toppings, and cigarette burns in the carpet. Clearly this room had not been cleaned thoroughly and was not taken care of. The lampshades were also crooked, and the phone was off the hook when we walked in. The mattress was extremely hard and felt like a piece of plywood. I did not feel comfortable, sleeping here and could not fall asleep. because of this, when I did fall asleep, I ended up sleeping until 1:30pm. I could not in good faith stay another night in this room so I walked down to the desk to check out. I was told I would not receive a refund for the second night that I would not be staying there. I then left and checked into the Hilton around the corner where I was much happier. Do not stay here the photos online do not represent the actual room or hotel.

This hotel was by far my worst hotel experience ever! My tub was dirty and I had to clean it myself! The room had a weird smell I just felt so uncomfortable the room just felt dirty the shower curtain was gross! Hair all over the place just nastyI told front desk about changing rooms they kept giving me the run around to be honest they didn’t care about my concerns I would never stay there again!

Property is in disrepair. Water stains on every ceiling from the lobby to the room. Elevator was dirty and had tile and trim that were loose. Our room had peeling wall paper that at some areas was reattached with staples. Tile around the tub was loose and no longer attached to the wall. Moldy caulk in the shower. Holes in the walls bathroom door had a hole punch in it and did not close at all. Floor was spongy and had large areas of unevenness. Floor outlet was broken and not sealed which exposed the wiring and would be dangerous if a toddler was crawling around the room. Over all condition of the hotel was leaking in the very basic maintenance. And repairs that were done were not done by anyone trained in the trades. I am a residential construction superintendent and I don’t expect anything close to perfection, but this was a level of not caring I could not ignore or stay at. We left after one night and would not have stayed the one night if it was not forth of July night and everything else was booked in the area.

Front desk was excellent. Don't expect your room to get cleaned. My bedding didn't get changed the whole week I was there. Carpets are stained throughout the hotel. Coffee pot had mold in it

Outside of building appearance-good. Lobby-fine. Room-dirty and gross. Stained carpet and couch. Couch was so gross we couldn’t use it. Creaky floor. Bathroom door had punch marks and door was too big for frame so it wouldn’t close. So much water damage to walls and ceiling. People above us walking around sounded like they were in our room it was so loud. Dead bugs in corner. We won’t be back.

The sheets were dirty, the carpet was stained. It took over 45 minutes to get clean sheets, and then we had to make our own beds. There was an exposed wire in one plug, peeling wall paper, mold in the a/c vent. The house keeping department didnt have any clean towels. We had to wait 7 hours for towels. Front desk employees were very rude and extremely unprofessional. The hallway and stairway was dirty and filled with trash. There was no working phone in the room. The manager of the property was never available to talk with. I have been trying to reach him for over a week. Every time I call the person answering says he isnt available. I was told I would get a discount on my room because of all the issues we had, but still haven't gotten anything yet.

This is your average place and a bit pricey for what's offered. My room on the third floor didn't have a shower curtain when I checked in, and the floor was sagging a lot in the middle of the room. Staff was responsive to the curtain issue, but was disappointed that no one was present at the front desk upon checkout. Overall the building felt like it had issues as you can feel and hear the walls/ceiling flex around the elevator, and more so inside of said elevator. I probably wouldn't stay there again...

I ordered a double bed, acccesible room. The room came with two full size beds, no accessibility. I expected Queen beds. There is also no couch in the rooms, although pictured. The property appears to have poor maintenance, the bathroom trimming and ceiling are falling apart. There is rust throughout property. The elevator is rickety, rooms are small.

This room should not be rented until issues repaired. Not well maintained, only one waste basket, freezer needs defrosting, toilet dirty on outside, bath sink clogged spicket, no stopper, inadequate lighting one wall fixture out, bed accessible from only one side, floor uneven slants. This is not the type of room I am used to at Country Inn. I will think twice before renting again.

Our stay was good. The staff was friendly. We reserved a 2 Queen size beds room. What we got was 2 full size beds. Was not the best for 2 adults in one bed. We had 3 people staying in the room. We were able to hear the alarms going off in the rooms on either side of us every morning of our 3 night stay.

Hotel looks newer on outside, but in the rooms the beds are small and room was muggy. The bathroom is very cramped, the toilet didn't even have a lid so be careful not to drop a towel that is folded right above the toilet. The price was not that great, so next time we will pay a little more for a better room elsewhere. Also, they should really have cameras on the side of the building.

The woman working the front desk upon arrival on Sunday 7/23 was very hospitable and friendly. I cannot say the sme for the rest of the staff Monday-Wednesday. No one ever answered the phone at the front desk so we had to walk down to the desk every time we had a question or needed something. When we wanted fresh towels, we had to bring our dirty ones to the front desk to exchange them for clean towels. The service staff seemed to hide out from guests in what I assume is the office off the front desk. At breakfast nothing would be replenished until someone asked. Much of the time I saw workers they were on their phones. The rooms were clean but the microwave was missing from our room and the coffee marker didn't work. Overall it wasn't a terrible stay as all we really wanted waa somewhere to rest our heads at night. Just know you are getting what you pay for here. If you are looking for advertised amenities and good service, you'll be disappointed.

We wound up arriving a little late and they gave our room away. Why did we even bother making a reservation? They charged us anyways (so they made money on us and the people they rented it to). Still trying to get a refund, pretty sure they are going to steal our money. Avoid at all costs!

Such a disappointing experience. This was our 2nd time staying there, in July everything was simple but comfortable, we came back in September for Labor Day weekend and brought Family & Friends. All of us had some sort of troubles with our rooms. The elevator was broken, our family members are elder and had to go up and down the 3rd floor because there was no other rooms available, if only this was our only issue, upon entering our room we realized our bed was BROKEN, one corner leaning entirely on the floor, we called reception immediately, they told us the maintenance guy was going to come by and he NEVER showed up, we had to put the mattress on the floor to be able to sleep, I’d rather be camping if I knew I’d have to sleep on the floor. No shower curtains in our bathroom, which was such a hazard, the floor was wet and very slippery and we were afraid of hurting ourselves falling. 2 adults staying in and they gave us only one towel, when we asked for more they said they didn’t have any extras. I requested a call back from the manager and never heard back from anyone. Breakfast time was listed wrong, the lady at the reception was so great but there was no management around when we needed one. We tried reaching out several times while in the hotel and afterwards and never heard back. Never coming back

This was probably the best hotel stay I have had anywhere in many years. The staff was amazing and so kind. We actually felt like guests and not a burden. The woman at the desk when we checked is simply gifted at her job. She made us more excited for our little get away than we were to begin with. This was the first trip we have taken with our dog to the lake and she recognized the importance of our little family to us and that was so special. Everything was spotless, we had plenty of towels which is always such a bonus, the pool was just right, and breakfast was wonderful. Thank you!

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with another human being and hotel and, because of it, I will never stay at another Country Inn & Suites again. In addition, the whole experience has made me wary about booking through Hotels.com/Expedia again too because they are refusing to stand up for me and take the time to seriously help me. When I tried to check in, the first room that was given to me HAD PEOPLE IN IT. The second room they tried to give me was FILTHY and had not been cleaned since the previous guests. There was fried chicken pieces all over the floor (both in the room and outside of it), there was urine all over the toilet, and the sheets had not been changed (+ more issues). I tried on 3 separate occasions to ask for the room to be cleaned over the course of about 3 hours. Finally, the lady at the front desk (Sonya?) started yelling at me and not only blatantly lied to my face but then REFUSED to clean the room. She threatened to call the police on me and my party and we were chased out of the hotel at 10pm in an unfamiliar city halfway across the country from anyone who could help us (as we were a small group of 18-21 year old females). I, as a broke college student, had to pay $600 out of pocket for a room at another hotel just so we didn't have to sleep on the streets. As of right now, I have been fighting to get my money back for three weeks. The hotel manager is ignoring me, Choice Hotels refuses to help me, and Expedia is not standing up for me.

The staff at this location is TOP notch! Domanique was working the front desk and having a hell of a time dealing with an unruly patron. She had to call the police twice on a very unruly woman staying with her family! Domanique was level-headed, polite, listened well and gave as many chances as she could to the unruly woman. We were very impressed with her professional demeanor. Also, Victoria was called back in to help clean rooms and she did so without hesitation. She worked a double shift that day and did so with a smile. Both women were friendly and helpful and got us our room as soon as they could. We really appreciated them as we really needed to get some sleep before a big travel day. They really should be considered for raises and/or promotions. They are absolutely fabulous and are huge assets to your company. Also, the room was lovely, clean and smelled great when we got inside. I cannot commend your staff enough, those 2 women, Domanique and Victoria. They will definitely stick with us for a while. They are wonderful. :)

Cancelled our room without notice. Tried to make us rebook on the spot for an additional $100. Leaving myself and my little kids with no place to stay for the night. They told me they had refunded my stay because they cancelled it— come to find out I was still charged and had to file a dispute with my credit card company. We were not the only family this happened to. She canceled the rooms for at least 10 other people to try to make more money. Many people were furious on the phone and in the lobby. Stay far far away.

Needs updating. Old stained carpeting. No bath fan, no toilet seat lid. Air conditioning needs fixing. No mirror in our room except for the bathroom. Pillows are wore out and flat. Staff was excellent and helpful!!

The front desk staff checking in was very impersonal. She rattled off the directions like she was a robot. It was also very difficult to find someone at the front desk if a need came up, however, you could find the staff galavanting around the hotel with their friends/other staff. There were no luggage carts to transport your items from your car to your room. I tried 3 different times to have breakfast in their breakfast area. Each time everything was depleted and no breakfast host was to be found. Thankfully there was a Bob Evans nearby. The toilet in our room had a leaky seal and would not fill up with water so it could be flushed. Since finding staff was proving to be difficult, I was able to adjust it myself so it would at least work while I was there for the night. The hallway smelled musty and was very narrow. When it was time to check out, no one was at the front desk again. There was a number you could call to reach the staff, however, they never took that phone with them and you would stand there listening to the phone ringing nonstop. No apologies were made to me when the staff (which I believe was the manager) finally returned to the desk. He did however explain that since they recently changed from being a Radisson Hotel to a Choice Hotel, they were experiencing issues and inconsistencies. Again, no apologies, just a matter of fact that everyone has to deal with. Well this guest will not deal with it since I will not be staying at this hotel again.

We were disappointed with the first room we were assigned and asked to be reassigned which the management complied with quickly. The property is tired and needs updating, but the beds were very comfortable. The location suited our needs.

First- Jessica at the desk is amazing! Helped us avoid the road work and gave us some good insider info on great family things. Property would get a 5 except: carpet in room was sticky. Like something spilled and not cleaned up. We covered it with towels and mad due. Never had nice hot water and always had terrible water pressure- don’t know the issue. Bathroom light flickered a lot and sometimes dint turn on until we tried switch a few times. Missing a lightbulb in lamp by bed and a handle broken off drawer and the iron was missing. Lastly, our final day we were at breakfast within 10 min of it opening so we had great food. However, the other 1 days we were in after 1 hour and food was scarce and juice empty. Then the lady at breakfast asked us to give her a 5-star review this morning (Linda)…. Um no… not when food wasn’t replenished most days! It could have been amazing…. Just details that cleaning needs to pay attention to.and breakfast nook issues. Front desk was so helpful and kind… it was a good location too.

Convenient location off the highway and in a nice, quiet area. The room had some weird stains on the ironing board/carpet/door. My room was provided with coffee packets but no coffee maker, which was odd. I was also advised that the pool was out of service. The beds seemed clean enough and they're pet friendly, so it worked for my purpose, but not exactly a must-stay.

Well, it was your standard average hotel snd was good price. The only thing I would complain about was the noise of people slamming doors and a truck at 5 am beeping continually by my window. Help was great breakfast good and location good. Clean

Stayed here one night while traveling from UP in Michigan to home. Good hotel for the money, considering the area. Safe, easy access to Interstate & dining, and comfortable rooms. Pool open late too!!

First- Jessica at the desk is amazing! Helped us avoid the road work and gave us some good insider info on great family things. Property would get a 5 except: carpet in room was sticky. Like something spilled and not cleaned up. We covered it with towels and mad due. Never had nice hot water and always had terrible water pressure- don’t know the issue. Bathroom light flickered a lot and sometimes dint turn on until we tried switch a few times. Missing a lightbulb in lamp by bed and a handle broken off drawer and the iron was missing. Lastly, our final day we were at breakfast within 10 min of it opening so we had great food. However, the other 1 days we were in after 1 hour and food was scarce and juice empty. It was clean and smell good 😊! Fast check in and out. Just stayed for the night. Breakfast was okey. Was busy during breakfast, the attendant seem slow catching up with food supplies.

The hotel and room were fine. Nice and quiet. There was supposed to be a breakfast but there wasn't anything available and nobidy around. The clerk at the front desk didn't seem too concerned about it.

Check in was fine but breakfaat was very disappointing. Eggs were barely edible and no sausage. Rather than taking empty pan away, it was lert out and every person kept asking for more sausage. Very disappointing breakfast.

It was a clean room. The afternoon/evening staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights, Thursday and Friday, and I chose this place because of the free breakfast. On the first morning, we went down to eat around 9am, and the food was gone. Egg pan and potatoes were empty, All that was left was sausage links that tasted spoiled. I asked the man that was standing there if they were bringing more food out and he just shrugged his shoulders and said "not sure". He then went outside to smoke. On the second morning all that was left were eggs that were very dry. This was around 9:30. Just truly disappointed.

There were crumbs on the carpet around the bed. Carpet was quite worn & dirty. Breakfast options were not good - apparently a staff person was late coming in.

I’ve stayed at several Country Inn & Suites hotels and found them all to be very well-maintained and nice. This one had many issues (warped, broken closet shelf, chipped up furniture, uneven floors - strange) and I didn’t find it to be super clean. It’s fine for a night, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

The room has bed bugs. I caught 2 of them and showed them to the front desk. One of the guys said he’d check the room. The other guy said he’ll call the manager and see what he can do. “Ram Raddy” he says is the manager. I asked for his number and he wouldn’t give it to me. He says, “I called the manager and he said we don’t have bed bugs.” But I still had the bed bugs in containers in my hand. He said he was sorry for whatever I caught but reiterated that they don’t have bed bugs. That they wouldn’t give a refund but that I could complain about it if I want to. I’m the most upset I can be that my stuff is now in quarantine and the front desk was gaslighting me to discredit my concern and on top of that I’m covered in bites. Disgusting hotel, the worst service, and criminally bad management.

Terrible staff. Dirty place. Amenities were not working. A/c was not working. Ripped chairs and lamp shades. A complete dive. I asked for a refund and they declined it. I'll never stay here again.
