The room smelled, half the lights didn’t work, outlet covers were ether missing or broken, mold on the shower walls, very little TP, the door looked like someone took a crow bar to it, zero amenities. A remodel would be nice but afraid it to late.

It was cheap, that's about the only positive. They had blinds in our room and half the blinds were missing. The bed was hard and the hallway smoke detector chirped every 30 seconds. The ceiling light/fan base in the bathroom was missing. I have stayed at alot of cheap hotels, this just made it to the top of my "worst sleep" places.

The young man who checked us is was nice, even went and turned the AC on for us. However, the room STUNK so bad. The carpet was filthy - black stains everywhere and if you walked barefoot on it, left your feet gritty. Phone didn't work, walls had marker on them and were just filthy in general. Shabby and dirty overall. Paint peeling off of the walls. Tub had a super slow drain - but that was fixed in the middle of our stay. Towels were sparse and stained. The light fixture in the bathroom had space for 2 bulbs in it - 1 was just an exposed, empty light socket - in the bathroom where the shower was! No shower curtain, linoleum behind toilet was pulled up and gross. Curtains weren't on their hangers. The stench of the room was terrible - somewhere between stale smoke and old wet dog. And it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The reason for 1 star is that it was a roof over our heads and there was a lock on the door - but we did put a chair under the door handle too. SO NASTY!!

Property needs upgrading badly!!! Conditions in my room doesn't justify the $80.00 price! Very noisy, mainly from antiquated refrigerator, but bathroom has a set of problems as well!!! Overall I don't recommend it!!!

The property was clean, but needs repairs and updating. Stayed in 2 rooms, refrigerator was not working and the heater in the other room was not working. They had little heaters plugged into wall, they did work very well.

The property was filthy the lobby was an absolute chaos unities were displace random things were on the floor creating fall risks the room was filthy as well curtains were ripped bedding were stain and ripped carpet was filthy even the chair in the had big stained on them . I walked in the room couldn’t even stand the amount of filt and the smell so I walked right out demanded and went and found another hotel to sleep for the night. They are still refusing to refund me.

It smelled horrible, things in room were broken, it was dirty, fire detector chirped all night and fridge rumbled all night. Would never recommend we had no choice but stay as there was not any other motels open. Wish I could have gotten a refund! Just disgusting.

The walls were greasy and hadnt been cleaned for years. There was a black blob on the wall by the sink. The bathroom was moly. Iverall very dirty, unclean, unsanitary. The television didnt work. If it had not beem a late noght and I had tobleave so quickly in the a.m. I would have checked out and gone elsewhere.

Don’t book. The photos are not current. The door to our room had clearly been kicked in at some time in the past, with a sloppy insecure repair. Signs at reception reflect that they clearly have problems with “locals”…perhaps a red light at the front of the building would be appropriate. I’ve never left a hotel after checking in…I did this time. Very surprising that Expedia would allow them to advertise…

Perfect place to stay for a night or two. A little bit out of our time - well, furniture and an entire design of the room remains good old fifties. But conveniet and comfortable enough to be back in a future. Staff is highly efficient and very polite indeed. Glad I choose this place.

Property was good. Staff was ok. When checked in the guy didn’t say 2 words to me. A lot of food options around but mainly fast food. Room was clean, comfortable. Really didn’t have an issue with anything just didn’t feel welcome on checkin.

I understood with the price that this wouldn't be the most updated property. However the upkeep was pretty bad with stains on the walls and ceilings, missing vents, and trash in the hallways. The smell of the hallways was pretty bad, but the room wasn't terrible. Surprisingly, these were not the worst parts of this hotel. The Island Inn is very unsafe. Staff are not there at night, and one of the nights staying there the police had to be called because multiple people were fighting in the hallway after midnight. My friends and I were all woken up to the fighting outside our door. The police were called by other guests. The officers had to knock on doors to find the people because there were no staff there to tell them where the problem was coming from! There is no secure entrances into the hotel, anyone can just walk in at any time of the night and cause a disturbance. Please spend the extra money somewhere else. I can deal with outdated, however safety is a HUGE concern here. If you choose to stay here, Good luck getting sleep with all the commotion at this hotel. This could all be solved of the hotel was staffed, and locked down properly.

Made a reservation online about 2 weeks before. Showed up the night of at about 12:00 a.m. and the office was locked, no one was there. There was a “sold out” sign on the door. There was also a number on the door that we called a couple times but no one answered. We ended up getting a a room at a different hotel just south. Very unimpressed.

The staff was super nice. The room was clean and the bed comfy. It was quiet. The only issue was the hall and stairs. The carpets were nasty. I was so happy when I saw the room was clean.

This hotel is ideal for the traveler who like me needs to stop for the night and keep going. Nothing unnecessary and what is there is working as promised. There is no coffee machine not the microwave in the room (full size refrigerator though) however all I needed is clean bad, convenient location, working bathroom and parking right in front of my room. All of that was at y convenience. Plus the basic breakfast with no extras but all basics right there. Once again - very convenient place to stop.

The stay was very enjoyable. Only one thing. Breakfast was cold each day for 3 days. I am a retired food service supervisor and I don't think the temp on the eggs or the sausage would meet standards. On sunday morning they were completely cold. We ate early each day and they were not hot at all. Otherwise the stay was great.

A puddle of water was waiting for me on the bathroom counter, and the shower ceiling featured a water-damaged hole that looked like the entrance to a low-budget horror movie. The fan/light fixture was missing its cover, revealing a dust collection impressive enough to qualify as a small wildlife habitat. The front desk experience was frustrating. Communication was difficult, and despite my best efforts, every conversation felt like a game of telephone that neither of us was winning. Friendly greetings, a welcome, or even a simple "thank you" never seemed to make an appearance. The lobby had an aroma that can only be described as "memorable"—a unique blend of mystery, regret, and something that probably shouldn't have been indoors. Calling this a hotel feels generous. It had more of a "last-resort stopover" vibe than a place intended for travelers seeking comfort. And breakfast? There wasn't one. No pastries. No cereal. No coffee. Not even the illusion of coffee.
